2701  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining! 36 blocks solved! on: April 17, 2015, 01:56:17 PM
I have a question. Are we all working at the same time on the same blocks? Or is it different all the time for every worker? for example if I have 10 minors under one worker and I rent a large miner it then ends, will it continue on the same block or will it all everyone has a different clock to work on. Also if somebody has a very small miner does it chances are way lower than something that they have 10 times that? Or is it just pure luck?

It's a welcome sight after the past few blocks.  Cheesy

IMO that price is very, very good. Had I not bought a ton of the sp20s already, I'd be jumping on this deal.
2705  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary Clinton to Announce 2016 Run for President on Sunday on: April 16, 2015, 03:16:24 AM
Hilary and Bill C has been calculating and manipulating for almost 20 years to get to this day since Bill was POTUS: using Bill even though she knows of his philandering, becoming a NY senator moving to become "resident" as stepping stone, lost her bid to become POTUS and took the position of Secretary of State as another stepping stone despite Obama's derogatory views of her and Democrats jumping off ship onto an unknown inexperienced Obama to reach today. All those positions is not as a public servant working for the good of the country, it is calculating and scheming to get the position, not because it is to better the country.

Very well put!
2706  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary Clinton to Announce 2016 Run for President on Sunday on: April 16, 2015, 02:39:23 AM
God help us. If she gets elected, this country is in for another 4-8years of ruin that Obama started.  Angry

All my rigs are offline even though they are not.  Undecided
2708  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo on: April 15, 2015, 05:40:28 AM
Statistically, 650TH should hit a solo block in 3.78days or sooner with luck (Like in this case), right?
Indeed, but (s)he hit 2 blocks in less than 2 days.

AKA Long Shot... Tongue If it's indeed rented then you only have a paid window to catch such a haul. Rent prices are set so you can't earn without hitting a block. So if you don't call it luck then use whatever term you like; I still say it's a Long Shot.

Well, sometimes you either get lucky with a rental even on a non solo pool (I have), or just rent lower than you earn with a standard pool using your own miners. This is possible also.
You have to rent a LOT and be able to back it up with your own rigs, but there is a pay-off of a few extra % points at the minimum if done right.

Heck I've rented a large sum for short period before and hit a lucky stream to 3x my costs, and also rent miners cheaper than mine are earning, so that extra few % ads to the daily grind, so to say.

Not a bad investment and return. Probably out about 7BTC per day, recv'd 50BTC after 2 days. Nice payout.

Why is it more diff to get a solo block with such high rented TH?

It is no harder or easier. That's the network difficulty.

That's what I thought. So why do people make it sound like it's a huge grant of luck that 650TH hit the solo block?

Nice gamble.

Do we have to start a ticket for all the rentals that ended and are running to get the credit or refund? I wont be at my PC for a few hours and can't do all that from my phone.
2713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available! on: April 14, 2015, 08:54:16 PM
Looks like we're coming to life again.

Yeah. Started getting rental hashes a bit ago. Looks like 10hrs downtime.

Allright,

RMA is close, Unit will be on my way tomorrow (I guess).

Hope I can hash a bit more coins with it ;-)

In an act of good faith they replaced one of my faulty board that had a short on the first ASIC (0) causing the ASIC (1) to not usable.

The replacement board has also a bad ASIC 0 but I will be able to use the ASIC 1.

Thanks you for this !

It wasn't tested before shipping back to you?

Our servers were shutdown by our hoster's while doing some maintenance and so we've been waiting on them to bring it back online. 2 of 5 are back online. waiting on stratum's now. It certainly is a PITA but i guess not much can be done.

Also in 2 weeks time there will be a brief downtime from 9pm GMT on the 27th April - 9am GMT on the 28th April. We will be moving to our own DC then and issues such as this one will not occour.

Ahmed

Good to hear.  Wink
2716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available! on: April 14, 2015, 04:08:41 PM
yep aware that rentals are still down. And you are right. timezones got me just checked. Will get everyone the final offline time when the site comes back online.  Just waiting for on our hosting provider to finish fixing the issue with them

Ahmed

Yeah, thought so. LOL. No worries.

What happened, do you know? This must be costing you guys a bunch because of the downtime and figuring out all the refunds and resetting of the hashes, etc.. Probably a huge PITA.

You guys in S'pore?
2717  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 14, 2015, 03:57:21 PM
Glad it works!  Yea next time if you have a choice ask for original box.  It's possibly one of the best designed boxes on cardboard surrounding the SP20.  They put some time/thought into it.
I haven't seen the boxes for the SP-20, but if it's anything like the ones for the SP-31/35, I would agree. Those boxes are awesome, perfect fit and sturdy as hell.  I saved those for sure for if/when I need to ship mine out in the future.

I keep saying these are the bets built ready to rock miners on the market. Period.

In my short time to mess with bitcoin mining, ( I go all out or not at all) I got antminers, spondoolies and some other smaller rigs.
Spondoolies is by far the best built and easiest to manage out of the box , antminers are second.

The design of the S5 really is poor IMO unless you're in a data center and have adequate cooling and no noise issues. For home mining it's poor.
IMO the S3/S3+ are much better designs, even though they have less hash rate and less efficiency.

Spondoolies, you can adjust to low hash rates while sipping tiny aounts of electricity and set eth fan to low where even in close proximity it is not even as loud as an S3.
2718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available! on: April 14, 2015, 03:47:41 PM
that may have been an issue with the renter's pool but it was 2 hours 10 minutes from the time the server went offline and the last message.

Um. Doubt it, since the rented servers stopped sending hashes to 2 different pools about the same time. I also have other servers pointing to them with no issues all the way through. (which are NOT on betarigs.)

Also, rentals are still down.
2719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available! on: April 14, 2015, 02:22:52 PM
2 hours 10 mins as of this message

MAybe from your message but my pools show rented hashing stopped after 5am. EST.. 5Hours 10 minutes as of now.
2720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - thousands of rigs available! on: April 14, 2015, 01:26:16 PM
Also, anyone have the exact time it went down?

Nevermind. My logs show no rented hashes after 5:05am EST (US).

Site looks up but the rigs are all down.
