2701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How high would Bitcoin price have to be for you to live off Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2016, 01:05:19 PM
bitcoin price doesn't have to be really high for me to be able to live off of bitcoin. i can make money with bitcoin at any price , as long as there are jobs to do online and also as long as there is trading going on (mostly altcoin trading) i can make more bitcoin and turn into money if needs be.
2702  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in India? Not for a LOOOOONG time. on: December 29, 2016, 12:00:35 PM
China is completly different from India. It has

1. Higher urbanisation
2. Growing wages
3. Public education for most of people
4. Have a group of people totally oposed to the government

In India we have none of those, which means no access to easy internet, no savings and not  even ability to read in many cases. And yeah political and global awreness help in getting the knowledge about bitcoin.

Dont get me wrong India is still huge market, but its nowhere near to be next China for bitcoin.

Yes, I also think that India is a long time to be able to catch up with China in terms of turnover Bitcoin and many other indicators.

i am not so sure about that, Indian are known for their online jobs and whenever there is some money to be earned online they are there. and investing in bitcoin is one of those cases, and because they are an under developed country to some extent it took a bit longer time but it seems they are catching up and adopting bitcoin just fine.
2703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once we hit $1000, how far will BTC drop? on: December 29, 2016, 11:50:31 AM
things have always been unpredictable in bitcoin. and whenever there is a rise things become harder to predict also.

my speculation is that the $1000-$1200 range is going to be a tough range for us and only because of the mentality of people about this price, it has been over a year that i keep hearing people say they want to sell when $1000 is reached. and many of them will actually do it too.
2704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "We got hacked" coming ! on: December 29, 2016, 11:42:17 AM
franky1 how many of the holders do you think will just give in to the temptation and sell off everything around $1300-ish and do you think this will cause a massive drop in the price again? I think at least 50% of everyone holding Bitcoin would sell something or everything following a new all-time-high.

what you have to realise is that although there are 16mill coins in circulation.. the bitcoin price is not managed/caused by 16million coins. it moves based on ALOT less coins. not all 16 mill coins are held in exchanges. only a fraction of circulation are in exchanges

it only takes a few thousand/few hundred thousand coins to shift the price because the resistance walls are lacking.
take MTGox. at most they had was 1mill coins out of 12mill coins at the time.. yet mtgox caused a price crisis of $1200->$250

now there are less than 1mill coins per exchange so there is less resistance, thus it does not take as much to cause price movement.

so im not going to say it needs 8million coins to change hands to cause a dump because that if factually untrue. it only needs a couple hundred thousand coins at most to cause a dump.

just think about that

i kinda agree with what you are saying, but also i think it is worth mentioning that those walls are much bigger than they look like. because people are not keeping their coins on exchanges and/or not in open orders, they usually go in when there is a change and that is one of the reasons why the volume is always so much bigger when there is a change than the walls you saw before the rise or drop.
2705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best price to enter zcash? on: December 29, 2016, 11:36:30 AM
the best price is at the bottom before the pump but you should ask whether there would even be a pump or will it continue getting dumped hard, the miners are earning good amount and they dump it ASAP to get the profit and exit as fast as possible before losing more money. because they want to move on to mining other things that are more profitable.
2706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me (again) that ETH is not manipulated by the whales on: December 29, 2016, 11:30:32 AM
and at the moment 0.0065. more than 1000btc. this is almost 1 million $ sitting on polo just for ETH.

who tell hell is committing that amount of money to poloniex.

thats why i am asking myself: are these BTC real or just placed from poloniex itself?

poloniex itself has a hand in this, and i always suspected them for most of the manipulations and specially manipulating ETC to prevent it from going up.

anyways i was sure ETH is a manipulated coin from the beginning and i became 100% sure when it was hacked and price could even go down properly!
2707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks accepting bitcoin on: December 29, 2016, 11:25:50 AM
this sounds great to read the topic only but when i think about it, this doesn't seem like accepting "bitcoin" to me because it is a third party application, most probably with additional fees and pays the shop in fiat not bitcoin.

until i can see QR code to scan and directly send bitcoin myself, on-chain i wouldn't call it paying with bitcoin Cheesy
2708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Rat Poison! A Message from Warren Buffet on: December 28, 2016, 01:15:14 PM
looks like back in 2014 mods didn't used to delete these spam topics talking about bitcoin is dead Cheesy

by today's standard topics like these are normal, and we sometimes even miss them if one day the FUDsters are too busy to create a new account and paste the same thing in a new topic Cheesy
2709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth wall at 7$?! on: December 28, 2016, 01:08:38 PM
Look like big players dont want that Eth go under 7$ no way! Keep stay at 7.2$ for some time now!

next time you saw a wall please try and take a screenshot and share with us. these things are quite interesting to document.
and i have been seeing some crazy size walls for ethereum put up by the whales to prevent crash, they are hard at work these days Cheesy

Anybody think price can dump on 3-5$ in 1-2 months?
Why you think so!?

it all depends on how things go for bitcoin. this massive eth dump started when bitcoin broke $800 and it has been continuing and i assure you if bitcoin continues going up or even stay volatile eth will continue getting dumped and no wall can prevent it.
but if things change, these whales will pump eth hard. we will have to wait and see.
2710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Xmr ou Ethereum ? on: December 28, 2016, 12:59:30 PM
10 cents per day is not something that you can make a decision based on. because there is so many changes such as you mine more and price fluctuating. so i think both are the same so far.

but if you think about the coin itself then i will choose XMR over ETH any day. because XMR has been around for a much longer time, it is more trusted than the buggy ETH. and also XMR have been rising so far whereas ETH has been falling and continues falling.
2711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto bank on: December 28, 2016, 12:54:24 PM
how about coinbase?

it can be seen as a bitcoin bank. and although i dislike the idea generally but coinbase or other services similar to that offer all the features that makes them a bank.

for example you make deposits there, they hold all the funds and you only have an account as you have with a bank. and they offer ways to deposit money and turn it into bitcoin and vice versa.

the only thing missing is issuing debit cards, and giving annual profit.
2712  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Who's gonna get "hacked" next? on: December 28, 2016, 12:49:24 PM
I don't think china will be touched , their exchanges are holding most of the bitcoins and the trading volume is huge , not to mention that there is big whales there , I'm pretty sure security is taken very seriously there. I don't remember seeing Kraken being a target of hacking so I'd say It could be this time.

lol, imagine the hacker hacked one of these Chinese exchanges in the hope to gain millions of dollars (based on the volumes they report) and then encounter only a couple of bitcoins being traded there Cheesy

but jokes aside i wish there were more topics discussing about what the solution can be instead of us coming here and crying after one of these get hacked.
2713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another nice dip to feed whales or buy more on: December 25, 2016, 01:27:40 PM
i live in the dips these days Smiley
every time prices go volatile it is time to wait for the dips to buy and nothing is better than a big rise to create a big dip right afterwards and then comes the stable price.

hope it dips to low 800's and hovers for a while. good fuel for another upswing in the new year.

breaking $800 resistance and going below it is going to be tough, i don't think it can happen without any reason!
2714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: looking for a partner to open a btc gambling website on: December 25, 2016, 01:19:37 PM
I was thinking about 15-20K.
i really like the coingaming.io platform. no idea how much it costs
15 to 20k USD? it's around 18 to 24 bitcoin or so, i don't think you can go with coingaming platform if you want to create a casino with live dealer games. you need at least 250k to 350k to start a strong bitcoin casino business , or if you insist want to build a bitcoin gambling site , you better have a fresh game that never exist before in bitcoin gambling site. with 20k you can go with it.
Thats why he needs a partner that would invest too and shall we say that he has the money to invest for 24 bitcoin and his partner would give the same which means more or less 50 bitcoin and i can say you could already build a gambling site but not the same on coingaming platform same as you said because designing would really need budget and also on marketing stuffs.OP should really need a partner since he have no idea or knowledge on building his own but the main problem here is the trust issues between two people.

he is still going to need a lot more than what he has right now to begin the operation. then after that he can ask for investors in what he has already started. with nothing, nobody is going to invest.
but for example if you see an established website for example like crypto-games you easily invest in it.

and if not, it may be better and easier to find investors face to face in real life rather than online.
2715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin up 25% today! on: December 25, 2016, 01:14:45 PM
Well, is it dead?
I think not.

What about everyone else here?

what i think is that litecoin is not really going anywhere, it has not much of development and nothing much to offer since it is copy of bitcoin.
but the fact remains that in this market these things are not determining the price but the demand and pumps make it, and litecoin has always been in the list of coins which Chinese are pumping a lot.
2716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's best alternative on: December 25, 2016, 01:08:03 PM
if bitcoin dies altcoins die with it too. and most of them are already dead anyways and some others that aren't yet dead have been made with the only one purpose of making more bitcoin from pump and dump.

eth: full of bugs and it is manipulated, and it is pump and dump
ltc: it is always pump and dump and it is copy of bitcoin
xmr: can be the best option, although it doesn't seem to be able to become as big.
2717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So you thought Bitcoin is dead, huh? NEVER! on: December 25, 2016, 12:53:36 PM
Even if the same scenario will happen again, I would not lose hopr in bitcoin even if it were to dump to below 300$ or 200$. I sill just buy and hoard coins by that time and wait for it to rise so high again since I have hope that even if the same thing will happen again in the near future, bitcoin will climb up and will give it's users profit again especially those who have lots of bitcoin.

Same here. If the price crashes we'll buy loads more.

hush hush!
we have been doing it for ages. whenever there is a crash happening that day is the best day of my life. i already had a couple of these days. but 2 of them stand out:
1) the day price went down to $170
2) the day bitfinex was hacked and price went down to ~500
2718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rally Could Be Stalled by Philippine Regulation on: December 24, 2016, 01:12:24 PM
"We are concerned with potential money laundering and consumer protection. We are studying putting virtual currency operators under a more formal regulatory framework," Philippine Central Bank Deputy Governor Nestor Espenilla said, according to Bloomberg.

every country, and everyone with smallest brain is worried about money laundering and all other kinds of criminal activity that can be performed with bitcoin. and none of them have been hiding it so far in the past 7-8 years. and these are talks and talks have been happening for as long as bitcoin existed and regulations are not always a bad thing preventing things!
2719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 900$ limit... time for alts! on: December 24, 2016, 01:03:43 PM
Look like btc limit was approx 900$... now time for alts to get some extra profit!

what limit is that you are talking about? did a month go by with bitcoin price stable at $900 and i missed it?

dude that price literary was just reached and we are going up and down from $878 to $911 and this little range price change means all traders are still happily trading bitcoin and making money.

Now time for:
Maidsafecoin
LEOcoin
ETC
Litecoin
Xaurum
😎

What are your alts list!?

from this list i only like LTC,
i used to like ETC too but there are a lot of troubles down that road which i don't like taking such as the foundation dumping to kill it.
and my other coin in the list is XMR and Doge and Dash these days.
2720  Economy / Speculation / Re: ($820) i told you so on: December 24, 2016, 12:57:11 PM
to be honest when i was speculating about this rise, saying "when $800 resistance is broken the rise is going to be fast" i wasn't expecting a whopping $100 rise after that. but i am very happy that my speculation came true and am still very interested to see how this current small rally of  ours is going to end.
