Can someone tell me the chances of getting gemz hacked from the app, what pre cautions should be taken to not allow that? Because as far as i know you get rewarded based on the amount you have in your app, so its understandable for people to store larger amounts in the app to get rewarded more.

Als GetGems een QR scanner krijgt, dan heb ik mijn zwitserse zakmes app gevonden.
Dat is een must, want hoe moet je anders je bitcoins naar een adres buiten de app verzenden. Die optie moet sowieso komen. |

Ik zat eraan te denken om een kort filmpje ervan te maken tijdens gebruik, maar zou nog interessanter zijn als de app compleet is dan is het nog aantrekkelijker.
Een artikel hierover op geenstijl/powned of andere websites is een goed idee, maar ik ben niet op de hoogte of ze nou kosten ervoor vragen of niet? bitstraat gaat over betalen met bitcoins, dit zou erg handig zijn als Gems een qr scanner toevoegt waar je mee kan betalen.

It's even better than you say. Whatsapp et. al. depend on ad revenue going to themselves for their value as companies. So, in a very real way, Whatsapp can't compete with GEMZ. If they tried adapting the GEMZ model whole cloth, they'd kill their own revenue stream! The only way they could is by coming up with a kludge like a "profit-sharing" coin: even that hack would still cut into their earnings by the profit-sharing %age. Facebook is a well-known public company, which means it has to answer to Wall Street. If you were a stock analyst, how would you react to a Facebook announcement that says they're going to be cutting into their own earnings by issuing a profit-sharing coin? If you have any common sense, you'll hastily whip up an "update" full of diplo-speak that says "dump Facebook now" to those in the know. And Facebook knows this. They have to answer to their new Wall Street masters.  Indeed i don't see them doing what Gems does, not because they wouldn't want to, but they simply can't. This reward value model Gems is implementing doesn't currently have any competitors, Gems is chewing away this business model with nobody else taking a part of it, that's why this needs as much a promotion as possible. It's the first to have such attention based economy or value 3.0 project implemented in a messenger service. Getting free GEMZ which basically is money should be very attractive to especially teens. That's why marketing this outside the crypto space is important aswell. |

That is nice, but I am wondering if this is going to make the difference. For a few free tokens probably worth a few cents, would you as an uninterested average Joe download that App? The average Joe will switch, when he sees his friends switching. Once switched, he might enjoy the extra benefits Gems is offering and keep using it. This consolidation is also ultra important. A strategy could be to create a momentum, where people en masse switch without even understanding why. Just following the masses. If that is your strategy, you should think about ways to create this momentum. Not easy, but worth the thinking.If the transfer from users from Whatsapp to Gems is going to be slow, you have a few disadvantages: - You give time to Whatsapp and other competitors to catch up - You don't create the impulse, probably needed to get average joe on board - People won't talk about/it won't be covered a lot in the media So I hope for a quick adoption Great point, when whatsApp went down for four hours, nearly 5 million people signed up for messaging service telegram. The app rocketed to the top of the app store charts. |

How can we leverage the large number of Telegram user to use GEMS. How have people invited and got people to use GEMS possibly instead or alongside Telegram? Otherwise friends will just think you are using Telegram.
Soon there will be the option to send them gemz where they will get notified to download the gems app. |

Hate to burst your bubble m8, but the whole world doesn't worship at Apple's feet. They've done right and prioritized what most people who don't have $600.00 dollars for a phone use which would be Android. I sincerely hope that the iOS application is finished before the 10th in that case. So that everything can be kickstarted at the same time Majority of my friends have iPhone, especially girls have mainly iPhones. |

I donwloaded gems wallet on android and I think it have a bug, I can't find any of my friends, They have account and they too can't find me. What's the problem?
They said this features will be unlocked soon, for now only a few can new found. |

I try to send BTC from android app but can't find a way please somebody can help?  send it to another address you mean? You could use the counterpartywallet with your 12 word password to send them out. No i mean send directly from messenger to other contact, i already deposit some BTC in my app wallet but i can't send them without using the long public key or counterwallet as far as i know it would be easy just to type the recipient's name and fill the amount in the text box isnīt that way? lol its much easier than that, for example if you want to send him 0.1 btc, you type: 0.1 btc or 0.1 bitcoin then you see a miniature bitcoin logo appearing on the right side and just press it and confirm with your pin umber. You can leave the spaces between the digits and btc too if you want. Thats it, no need for addresses or recipients name.
