27161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Prepaid cards being sold cheap? on: February 16, 2016, 04:59:57 PM
How are they able to do this?
Just a guess: they get commission? On "normal" creditcards the seller can get hundreds of dollars for selling a card, as the credit card company hopes to earn from the customer later.
27162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best and quickest way to exchange bitcoins for fiat on: February 16, 2016, 04:58:10 PM
kraken is the ebst way for you, if you perform a sepa in the morning you get it at 18:00 tested many time, but you need to do it at worst before 11 am or around that
I can confirm this (in Europe at least). I used it only once as a test: sold in the morning, got the money in the afternoon. Now I have my account ready if I ever need to sell more. Depending on your country there may be other services available, the one I know here has a much higher cost though so I won't recommend it.

It would be ideal to find someone nearby to trade with, cash only, so you take out the percentage for the middle man.
27163  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: February 16, 2016, 04:48:14 PM
What are the future projections for Bitcoin?
I like to say in 20 years it's either forgotten, or worth a fortune. I don't think it will go up 100,000-fold, as it did in the past. But if the number of users goes up 100 times, its value can do the same.

But it also has some of the typical bubble and speculation characteristics like the stock market: for one: if its value drops, lots of people quickly want to sell! And if it goes up, people want to buy. If bitcoin drops to 1 cent, nobody would want it anymore (otherwise it wouldn't have dropped). But if it would rise to 5000 dollars, everybody wants it!

Do people still fall for this?

How come people don't believe it if it's dollars, but for bitcoins suddenly people "invest" in ponzi/pyramid plans?
27165  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Islam a religion of Peace? on: February 16, 2016, 04:39:59 PM
One should wonder why it is called "religion of peace"... and why no other religion is called that way.
It's simply wishful thinking, hoping someone will believe it.

My cat is very peaceful, and yet, I don't call him "cat of peace". Because it's not needed to make people believe it.
Dogs on the other hand often bite people, and yet dog owners feel the need to keep telling people it won't harm them.

27167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: February 15, 2016, 06:14:07 PM
just don't bet all your money instantly, better smaller bets but if you'll loose, you won't loose everything
And if you win, you don't win everything Tongue

Mathematically, the best way is to go all-in once to win the amount you want and walk away. But what's the fun in that?
27168  Economy / Services / Re: [3 OPEN SLOTS] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign on: February 15, 2016, 04:38:59 PM
I'd be willing to accept you, but remember that if you're unable to make 50 constructive posts for the month, you'll be removed from the campaign. If you're alright with that, let me know and I'll slot you in.
I am okay with that Smiley

Thus we will try to focus and only open up the paid playgrounds at a specific time of the day for a specific duration, hoping that all players will come together for that time of the day.
I assume this includes closing faucet for this time, right?

What we earn due to the fees is negligible and the advertisement hardly pays for the faucet.
...
What are your suggestions?
Lower faucet?

I was recently playing http://bubble.am/ ... they offer a 500 uBTC reward for winning the tournament, to be paid within 48 hours. However, they didn't pay.
But they have much more players than chopcoin (say 100,000!), and I do love their MegaSplit playground. Can you experiment with this? Split into 256 balls, merge tiny balls in a fraction of a second, 30 seconds for big balls? It gives a completely different game play.
Right now chopcoin is often boring due to lack of players. A faster split makes it less boring.
27171  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: January 31, 2016, 09:14:48 AM
Yes Teams are interesting, but now they all use a fast join SCRYPT. Well i feel this SCRYPT used by teams are just wrong.
Shouldn't the join-timer be dictated by the server?

Is this to spit out a lot of mass instead of pressing W very fast?
27172  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollin.io hacked on: January 26, 2016, 07:57:10 AM
Is there any more proof that the BTC is actually lost from the wallet? I checked out the website and it now seems to work fine. If someone stole oer 35BTC I don't think just a day will solve all the problems. Could someone post additional proof saying that the website actually got hacked? I'm a bit skeptical about this one.
This bet proves it.
27173  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: January 23, 2016, 12:08:35 PM
but small balls merge in 5 seconds.
I see this is back to 30 seconds again? Too bad Sad
27174  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: January 23, 2016, 10:01:51 AM
Hey devs, mind throwing us a bone about whatever development you got cooking? It almost seems to me as if you have left us chopcoiners to fend for ourselves in the arena. We're having fun of course, but it doesn't hurt to keep us in the loop, and you could attract more players that way too. Win-win.
^^ What this guy says Cheesy

I've noticed 2 changes recently:
1. Faucet-arena got like twice as fast, which made the game much more challenging and less boring. But "W" did not work on small balls, as they moved faster than the ejected mass (that speed should have doubled too I guess).
2. The next day it was slower again, but small balls merge in 5 seconds. Big balls still take like 30 seconds. It is still like this today.
It stopped teaming for a few days, but they've adapted fast and are back now.
This mode gives some new advantages and also some disadvantages, so in general it is a nice change.

Unfortunately faucet halved since 2 days, so it's not worth it anymore...
27176  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitGold.com IS COMPLETELY SCAM on: January 15, 2016, 12:26:39 PM
Peoples, leave your feedbacks on https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bitgold.com  and make trustscore to 1.
It's quite simple: if a company pays for the reviews, you can't trust them. Of course Trustpilot only gets business if it provides happy reviews.
27177  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollin.io is a scam !/? on: January 12, 2016, 11:24:30 PM
You think they are in buisness because their websites are "fair" your joking right? Here is a defenition of provably fair " algorithm which can be analyzed and verified for fairness on the part of the service operator." thats right, the number is not generated until you place a bid, only then is the seed "randomly" generated, you dont see a problem with that? Its no different then calling head or tails on a coin flip, right after it was flipped already, and you can visually see the coin.
Don't blame the site for not understanding how provably fair works.

If you can't handle loss, don't gamble the money! Talk about a one-issue-bitcointalk-account...
27178  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: January 10, 2016, 10:57:38 AM
Propagandalf: First let me say I still hate you  Wink You're a very good player and I usually run away when I see you  Grin You still eat me (some of my often used names: ARROW/B613/"no name") anyway.

Second: I totally agree with you! I've been thinking about no-names no-colors too, but already it's hard to see who's who when someone with the same color and a lot of blobs gets close or on top of my blobs. But currently I enjoy attacking those teams more than winning...
27179  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollin.io is a scam !/? on: January 08, 2016, 12:46:12 PM
is it possible to take same hash after changing both server seed and random seed?
Short answer: no.

Long answer: the required computation power exceeds all imagination. So no.

Did you know that ALL bitcoin private keys can be found on this website? http://directory.io/ !
Just pick the right page, and you'll find wallets containing thousands of bitcoins. There are only 904625697166532776746648320380374280100293470930272690489102837043110636675 pages so you can imagine it's quite hard to find the right page... It's the same with hashes: creating a hash out of a seed is easy. Creating a seed that fits that specific hash is virtually impossible. Which is the whole purpose of using a hash.
27180  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollin.io is a scam !/? on: January 07, 2016, 09:54:41 AM
NLNico (who knows much more about this than I do) and ndnhc have explained already how hashes work. The server hash includes the random seed, and you can not adjust the random seed at will while keeping the same server hash.
That being said, this scam accusation is what it is: an accusation, and nothing more than that.

Nice twist BTW, I did not tell you to open a spam-accusation-topic, I told you the hashes were discussed in the existing topic here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=687571.msg12137676#msg12137676

Now the facts
Mod Loyce here. Before I became moderator at rollin.io, one Mod (asd) lost his Mod-status due to his rage issues. This was about half a year ago. Since then he's been spamming rollin's Chatter Box. He uses his own internet provider with dynamic IP addresses, anonymous proxies, and VPNs to do so. Rollin Admin has been more than kind to him, much more than he deserves in my opinion, and countless users and Mods have tried to talk to him. He has money problems, drinking problems, gambling problems, drugs problems, and so on. He blames everybody except himself, especially Admin, and keeps saying he wants his money back. Once he has money, he gambles until he loses it again. Then the rage starts. This spam in chat goes on for days in a row, as it's very easy to make a new account on rollin. Sometimes it stopped, for instance when he had a temporary job, but he always comes back.

I'm saying this in public now, as it explains why this person wants to accuse rollin falsely. I'm not so worried about his privacy, as "asd" does not tie him to any real life connection. Everybody who has ever used rollin's Chatter Box knows who I'm talking about though.

asd: get help!
