Haaland has 18 goals in 15 games (premier league gams only) and things weren't this bad at Dortmund that English football pundits call farmers league. In some cases, it is not about the league but about the type of playmakers you have in the team; at Dortmund, he wasn't getting as much help as he is now at Manchester City, so it isn't really about the league; Halaand is a natural scorer who can score enough goals in any league as long as he gets a good ball. At Dortmund, he had Sacho and Bellingham as playmakers, whereas at City, he has world-class playmakers, so the difference is stark. A good goal scorer does not need 1-2 seasons to adjust to a new league; they learn quickly. What do you guys think about our new guy David FOFANA ?
I haven't watched him play before but from what I see online regarding his stats and from the fact that he's an African, I expect him to do very well as they (Africans) do have a good record of doing very well at Chelsea, I have no doubt that he'll perform beyond expectation. One thing about players been signed to Chelsea is when they're overpriced they flop but those bought with a decent amount and much aren't expected of them, they excel. He has better stats than Halaand, who also played at Molde, so that gives me some hope, but no matter how good he is, he will struggle in a system without a good playmaker at Chelsea. |

They also need to hasten up with the signature of Declan Rice from West Ham he is the replacement for Ngolo Kante since they're not offering him a contract extension. As per the potentials of Fofana I haven't really checked if I have i must have forgotten, bit the premier league ain't no easy league, I hope he gets the message.
What about Zakaria, he's a defensive midfielders and not over priced as Declan Rice beside, majority of English players are overated. We already have them plenty at the club and that's enough (we don't need more). It sad to me that injury has spoiled Kante career as he's now a shadow of himself. He isn't the Kante that we knew few years back and thankfully he has won almost all there's possible to win. If I were him I'll just retire instead of going to stress myself more and probably cause a long term life injury to my body. Chelsea is doing the right thing not extending his contract as he's more of a liability to the team then assets. I think Graham Potter should give Zakaria a chance instead of going to get more midfielder when we have more than enough at the club that aren't even getting enough playing time. Zakaria was decent in his last outing and if given more chance, I'm sure he'll impress both the coach and fans. Our medical team has been shit for the past two years, they have failed to manage our best players over the years, Kante was the 50 game a season player until last season, now James is facing the same injury concern, do you think it has anything to do with our medical and physical coaches? We've been terrible at managing our players, which is why Tobb Boehly is getting rid of some of the physios and hiring some experts to do the job. Yes, Zakaria is good, but is D. Rice overpriced? But he is still one of the best DMs in the league and he is English, the only way to get him cheap is if he runs out his current contract, which West Ham are making sure doesn't happen, but he would have been the perfect match in our team because the futures of Jorginho and Kante are not guaranteed, so getting Rice for 80-90 million would be a good business. Yes, Zakaria has time to develop, but we need a world-class DM and an experienced player like Rice in our squad if we are to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool. |

Results from the games yesterday:
Both Chelsea and Manchester United managed to win their home games yesterday and will keep up the chase for Champions League places.
I don't think anyone expected anything less, this is just the first game after the break so most top side are expected to win their games. Yesterday game doesn't determine the fate of the clubs for the rest of the season. They might have been good yesterday but might play badly for the rest of the season. Chelsea didn't impressive me much as they're still missing lots of clear chances that they should've scored and sealed the game on time. Reece James fitness is also a doubt as he was substituted after having a minor injury, his presence on the field made the squad look promising and immediately he was taken off the momentum changed in favor of Bournemouth. Manchester united on the other hand played very well without Ronaldo leading the line which means he was never needed and the team would be better without him (let see where they end up this season). At this point, it's becoming a problem that a whole team relies on an RB; we play well when he's on the field, but when he's off, we're shit. We had a great first half, but the second half was a little sloppy, which has been our problem this season; we barely dominate both halves. It's time to find a replacement for James. He has a history of injuries and is not the type of player who can play all season or more than 30 games per season. Unfortunately, the scan he had today revealed that he would be out for at least 2-3 months, which would be an out-of-season injury. i feel sorry for him but kneel injury is career ending injury, we have to move ahead now.

He's got better finishing and can play both attacking midfielder and left wing position perfectly as those as he's most recognized position, but if the needs arises I'm very sure he'd play a CF or SS position too perfect, given how incredible his finishing ability his. That's promising, it's difficult to find someone who offers this much at his age, he reminds me of Jota, who is so versatile and can play at any position perfectly, that was so quick from Liverpool knowing that Manchester United approached and had been in contact for more than 3 months, it only took Liverpool 1 week to get it done. Liverpool has one of the best modern bursiness departments in the league, I'm not sure what their fans are complaining about. Is the mini-league still open?

I also urge all not to remain indifferent to the cleanliness of the forum. The button to complain to the moderators does not need to be pressed for a long time, but at the same time, we get better content. Mbitr, 100% accuracy, is simply amazing. I also report very often, but sometimes, unfortunately, the moderators do not agree with me. I think I've got over 4000 reports since 2015, but the majority of them were done in 2017-18 IIRC because I was on a binge like OP seems to be. Once you start actively looking for reportable posts, sometimes it does get addicting because they're everywhere (though a lot of the crappiest of crap tends to be concentrated in only a few sections). Distributing merits is a huge responsibility, and you're right about reporting addiction; I used to be addicted to reporting, but I'm not anymore, probably because I see more quality posts than trashy posts these days. |

I guess now you can see why using a chip would have been almost useless still, someone used bench boost chip and all the person got so far is 2-3 points I think, If I wanted to actually wanted to go all out for the chip my move would have been to gone for a team with defenders I'm quite sure would keep a clean sheet, but It still wouldn't have worked out, there are some things you just have no control over regardless of how prepared you are! you are correct Chips cannot save you if your week is bad; the only meaningful chip I find important is the wirldcard; the rest of the chips are dependent on the player's performance. Nunez's performance made me appreciate Timo and Lukaku even more; he's had 16 chances to score this season and has missed 12 of them. Whoever convinced Liverpool to pay 100 million pounds for Nunez deserves an Oscar. He is failing to finish all the time. Although the assist for the last goal was amazing. If Nunez was scoring then we could have half a dozen of goals today. However, he was not given the assist. If Nunez had been the 2pac shooter, 2Pac would still be alive today. I'm hoping he doesn't miss out on training. Arsenal finished with a 3 - 1 which means another 3 points for me LOL.
After the break I must say I had a good start. If first 3 matches were going as planned then I could have more points. Jayce got 3 exact scores and now leading the leader-board.
The final goal tucked my exact score, I went with a 2-1 forecast and was almost there. Given the poor performance of the other pool participants yesterday, 7 points is not a bad start. |

I'd rather see Klopp go for a typical CM as well, and Nunez will still yield a good result it's just a matter of time imo.
Premier league is not really big on giving player time or second chances. You either deliver pretty much immediately or you stay on the bench. Nunez is just lucky that Liverpool attackers are mostly injured and there really isn't a person there that could take his place. If Jota, Diez and Firminho get better and he plays like this, he will get last 10 minutes every other game to show what he can do. I agree with you totally on this! But fortunately for him, Klopp and Liverpool doesn't have a plethora of choices for the time being, and I really think bar is already evident poor finishing touches, the pressure is already getting to him. He'll surely still get some 2-3 weeks of consistent football to prove himself. Nunez needs to improve his conversion rate; he has the potential to be a top striker, with abilities similar to Timo Werner, such as dangerous runs, good positioning, getting the ball at the right angle, and high pressing, but he needs good feet to live up to those expectations. I agree that his performance has been hampered by a lack of competition; if there were a big competition, he would finish those chances knowing that there are other good options on the bench.

Just when i let go of Salah and VVD, they delivered a masterclass. Darwin was that one player who could have made the difference for me because his ownership is low compared to other attacking options but he decided to be what he is known for, I had two days looking for Darwin alternatives and still end up with him because I had a little faith in him, now I'm regretting not going for Kane/Martial when I had the chance. Nothing to be proud of, I got the first opening game right but the other games shook me up, it's Boxing Day and I was expecting many goals and many draws as usual, but the other results caught me off guard. I saw the Newcastle game and those boys didn't look like they were messing around, they played like they had full squad training while others were at the world cup, I thought their form and winning streak before the world cup was a fluke, but these guys are gunning for the top four. They have everything it takes to compete in at least one European competition next season. A good game overall, a few nice goals (insane Trent pass for the 1st goal) and 3 points we desperately needed.
I really can't find any excuses for Nunez anymore, I can't stand the guy. He'll probably score some goals (he has to eventually), but he's so frustrating to watch.

I can see why FPL did it though, a large portion of their fan base stops playing the game during and after the winter holidays. Does anyone know if Ronaldo will continue this season in the Champions League?  Most probably yes if he transfers himself to Milan which there are really a lot of voices circulating and pointing to such move.As long as I know Milan already qualified further for the Champions League and as such he should be a federated player of AC Milan and as such player he has all the rights to play in Champions League.I don't know if there are any clauses in his contract at Manchester United which clearly forbid such move after he leave from Manchester like he is doing,not in the best way. I'm not sure about the AC Milan deal, but the only official deal on the table for Ronaldo's camp right now is the huge 200 million/year deal from Al Nassr until 2025, which they are still waiting for Ronaldo's green light on. Meanwhile, Ronaldo's interest is to stay in Europe and continue playing in the Champions League, and they have been in contact with other European clubs, but none of the managers appear to be interested in him. I guess many of them are afraid of having him on their team because I know it's never about his wages because he has stated that he is willing to accept a wage cut. Every contract with Manchester United has ended mutually, and he is now a free agent who can join any club. no clauses Ronaldo? So there's a difference not in who the owners are but how the money comes and what motivations back it. Is the club going to be a play thing for champagne parties like Abramovich? Is it just a trophy wife to brag about at dinners like Venky's when they first bought Blackburn Rovers and aired their players eating fried chicken? So that's oil money and franchise money from overseas. But do Englishmen fare better? Ask Newcastle about Mike Ashley, who treated talents like Keegan like crap and appointed his own mates to manage the club (not to mention all the tacky stuff he did for his actual business while allowing his club to get relegated, for example renaming St James Park to... Sports Direct Arena). Oil money bought Newcastle but they seem to be learning a lot of lessons... and it doesn't yet appear they're going to treat the club like a toy. Time will tell. I never thought I would see members who just received new local board (and we all supported that for some time) being against creating one more local board,
or nitpicking and finding flaws and mistakes in OP request topic, but I have seen worse things in this forum so I am not really surprised. I have to admit that I was very unpleasantly surprised (and disappointed) but I guess you learn something new every day. Lately I started to understand flumpnuggets (igehhh), she reacts first but after she realize. In the heart, she seems a nice lady. CB (CryptopreneurBrainboss) is such a nice guy but I really can not understand his stress towards the comparison with the Nigerian local board. Who else did I miss? All resistance came from these two users only, let's forgive them. Looking at the bright side, everyone else are looking good and almost everyone is supporting the idea of having the local board for Pakistan people. Oh, no!! How did we get here?
