Wie groß ist deine Ping-Zeit zu eu-miner.ecki.net? UMTS wird wohl oberhalb von 25 ms liegen? Ab da geht es steil aufwärts mit der Stale-Rate.  Hast du Longpoll aktiviert? Das ist ganz besonders bei langen Pings wichtig um den Traffic zu minimieren. ich habe bitcoins verkauft und als das Geld am Konto war, sofort die coins für den Käufer freigegeben.
Am nächsten Tag bekomme ich von der Bank ein email, dass der Käufer alles rückbuchen will.
Muss ich dem zustimmen bzw. kann er das ohne meine Zustimmung machen (falls ja, wer zahlt die Gebühren, wie komme ich wieder an die Coins etc.)

Verständnis-frage:
wenn man z.B. LTC nur nachts solo minen will, da tagsüber die CPU für andere Dinge gebraucht wird, sind dann die bereits errechneten shares morgens immer "weg" (d.h. es wird abends wieder bei 0 angefangen) wenn kein Block gefunden wurde und das minen ausgesetzt wird?
oder anders gefragt:
macht solo nur Sinn wenn man ohne Unterbrechung mined (was ist dann bei Netzproblemen/-ausfällen?)

deshalb die frage hier, ob jemand erfahrungen mit 3g routern+3g stick in bezug auf mining rigs gemacht hat.
ja, einziger Nachteil ist, dass ich den 3g Stick so ca. alle 1 bis 2 Tage aus/einstecken muss (hat schon öfters die Verbindung verloren und nicht wieder aufgenommen obwohl auf auto gestellt...) und dass die Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit sehr sehr unterschiedlich (und weit unter dem laut Angaben des Providers) ist sodass es zu einer hohen stale Rate kommt... (nebenbei youtube o.ä. praktisch unmöglich -> rejectrate zu hoch...) |

thank you - I have known this and done this xx-times (now I am on xorg.conf.fglrx- 64...) and it was possible at one time to mine with all three adapters (2*5870 and 1*5830) BUT: if I change with Catalyst Control Center to dual screen (Big Desktop) on next reboot there is only card 0 active again  I have also tried: sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --initial --xinerama=off sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --initial --xinerama=on sudo aticonfig --initial --adapter=all --dtop=horizontal -v -f sudo aticonfig --initial --adapter=all --dtop=horizontal --overlay-on=1 -v -f sudo aticonfig -f --adapter=all --initial=dual-head --screen-layout=left and a few more combinations but it was not possible to get all three cards working AND a Big Desktop on the 2 Monitors (only clone desktop) I think that aticonfig and Catalyst Control Center are working poorly together, because if I change something with CCC it changes the number of active adapters too... I am running 2.0.7 and really liking it. With my setup, when a worker dies it won't restart; it stays on "DEAD" forever. If i try to quit by pressing q, it hangs and "ps" shows the process as defunct. "kill" and "kill -9" don't seem to restart it. If I reboot the computer while it is locked up, when I try to start cgminer again it doesn't see my GPUs and instead starts mining the CPU. If I reboot it again it comes up working, but then the autofan and the overclocks don't work.
here is the same: after a short time on the remote machine GPU 1 is dead and it stays on "DEAD" forever, - after q it hangs and "ps" shows the process as defunct. "kill" and "kill -9" don't seem to work. PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND

if I try to kill the process or the parent’s process with the command “kill -9 xxxx, it does not work and with $ps -A | grep defunct nothing seems changed. I have to hard reset the machine for new booting. 1. so is there any other way to kill the <defunct> with no need to reboot? 2. I have now upgraded this machine to Ubuntu 11.10 and cgminer now has 100% CPU usage - any hints how to change this? (has not been with Ubuntu natty...) TIA |
