Work Appreciated

Good idea but i would like to say why not if there would be an image that canbe colourful and with imagewe can do whatever we want to, for example as if we we want a Table thats possible and if we want the image Sections to be colorful as each rank with different color that also possible.

So image might be a better idea
That will be difficult to achieve with the software the forum is using for now, but if the feature is added to new forum software it would be good. No one knows when we are going to have new forum software.

But it is not looking bad at all and it looks good as it is not even coloured like those modern test books' tables.
2722  Economy / Economics / Re: 6 Design Principles for a Successful Central Bank Digital Currency on: July 19, 2022, 06:59:17 AM
3. It needs to be private but fully auditable

Privacy is a human right and a necessary condition for broad adoption. For a CBDC to be successful, It is paramount to balance this right carefully with the regulatory need to ensure that transactions are KYC/AML compliant. This requires a layered approach to privacy with adjustable limits for fully private, partially private, and fully auditable transactions. Importantly, central banks must have full control over the thresholds between the different layers of privacy and be able to change these as necessary.

This layered approach to privacy is both practical and in stark contrast to the approach private crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum have chosen, where there is no native notion of privacy. These blockchains instead rely on pseudonymous addresses as a means of protecting user privacy. This approach to privacy is in direct conflict with existing KYC/AML requirements. Rather than fixing this protocol flaw, it is better for a blockchain to have been designed for privacy from the beginning.

Privacy is a human right but anything created and belonging to the government is not private, CBDCs are created by the government and also not private, the government knows all about their citizens that are using CBDC, the money can be seized and the government can do whatever they like with it. So if talking about privacy is the concern, no government created money has that, they are all not private. To have privacy, only coins like bitcoin that is decentralized are private, centralized money can not give that.
2723  Economy / Economics / Re: What are your honest thoughts on Crypto in the future, given what is happening n on: July 18, 2022, 07:51:11 AM
I'm gradually losing faith in its long-term viability.
This will definitely result because you are dealing with shit coins or maybe you are trading. Trading is not long term, you will need to hold for years before you can say you hold for long term.

Or maybe because of the present bear market, it can last for a year but later the bull time will come. Just do not miss the boat before you will realize that. Do not be like a person that will not invest during bear market but later just want to invest after the bull market is over.

For altcoins, I will advice you to stay away from many of them, especially the low marketcap ones. Do away with shitcoins.
2724  Economy / Economics / Re: A Government-Suitable Digital Currency (CBDC vs. StableCoin) on: July 18, 2022, 07:44:16 AM
Stable coins are not CBDCs.

Stable coins are private but centralized, CBDCs are created by the government but they are both centralized.

Stable coins like tether can be freezed on noncustodial wallet, that makes it not to represent freedom just like fiat and CBDCs.

Because of these, I will prefer CBDCs because stable coins are centralized and people have not completed control over it like tether.

Stable coins are not centralized and can be manipulated like UST.
2725  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 16, 2022, 10:18:38 PM
Your friend's loan would have been on default before the loan company will be able to deduct the loan directly from his bank account. Why your friend did not pay in time? Your friend is to be blamed. Before he loaned money, there is ToS and how the loan will be. Do not loan the amount of money you are not able to get back at certain period you plan to back the loan.
2726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 16, 2022, 01:32:07 PM
Gambling will not be banned, even if all the governments of the world insist on doing so, gamblers will find all kinds of ways to keep gambling. If we look at the history of the players out there, there are those who are happy because of gambling, but there are also those who are suffering because of gambling.
But if gambling is banned, the opportunity gambling brought to many gambling companies will become the thing of the past, I am just saying that, because it is even not possible for the government to ban one of their source of their income.

Do you think that now people are unaware of the real risks of winning/losing? It seems to me that everyone understands everything (of course, there are exceptions, but they can be ignored, like those who believe in Santa Claus), but this is their conscious choice to take risks.
Everyone that gambles knows that they can win or lose, but some people, especially those that become addicted thought they have special skills that can help them win than lose, but they will later found themselves losing more than winning.
2727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Russian Premier League 2022/23 Season on: July 16, 2022, 12:37:46 PM
When I saw this thread, I went to check for Russian Premier League on the Livescore site that I am using but I did not see anything like Russia again, not to talk of Russian Premier League. In one way or the other, Russian Premier League will be affected by the sanctions placed on them by FiFA and UEFA. Lack of information will likely make this thread not to be an active one.
2728  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: July 16, 2022, 08:34:30 AM
Well, the review can help but then we need to experience things to know the actual manner in which the site operates especially the way their handle issues as it relates to players' accounts and withdrawal another important aspect is the probability of the casino's how their system works. This and many more are the things to determine the trust level of a sportbiokie.
Before I started to use two or three gambling sites on gambling board to gamble, I make use of reputable local betting sites like Nairabet, Bet9ja and Merrybet, I use bet365 for foreign. Even before I started to use those sites, I make research already to know how good they are. I do not just like to follow review, I have seen many fake reviews before. If I do not get enough information, I can post about the site on local forum or search about anything related to the site on local forum or even this forum, I can get enough information through that directly from people that are using the site.
2729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 16, 2022, 08:11:15 AM
How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing
Feng shui is just one of the eight superstitions that is listed, including one about females that they believe to gamble during their menstruation to have luck. The west side of a casino or room during gambling as for example, or anywhere you can see a door as another example are considered to be good luck according to the article. But this is the first time I am hearing about this and I have been gambling for years. As for my opinion, I do not believe in anything like this, I do not take gambling serious because I do not see it a a way to make money, so nothing attached like superstition.
2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 15, 2022, 07:32:32 PM
The day when a match team A in a small league was leading by 5 goals but later equalsized by team B at late minutes and later won it has been the day I believed and knew that matches can be fixed. Anything can happen in football but I always think that some matches are fixed. About the FA Cup final between Remo Stars and Ijebu United seem more like a planned event, a goal keeper do not go for the ball at all while the player for the other team just played the penalty out. The best is to not bet on small leagues, big leagues can not be manipulated.
2731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Online Gambling be Banned? on: July 15, 2022, 09:27:42 AM
The best thing to do with gambling is to make it legal, well regulated and controlled.
This will be the best, but many countries do not well regulate gambling, you can see gambling ads all around and available for even children to be exposed to it, nothing like digital id to connect a single users to all existing gambling platforms in the world in a way to be able to make self exclusion effective and many others. But you are not wrong, gambling should not be banned but regulated.

People who have problems with gambling, which is often used as an argument to prohibit it, if gambling did not exist would have problems with something else, such as drugs or alcohol.
I do not agree with this, because you are not addicted to gambling does not mean you will be addicted to something else like drugs or alcohol. Some people are addicted to drugs or alcohol but not addicted to gambling. Some people are not addicted to anything at all.

Let's look at Macao for example, a country that relies solely on gambling as a means to an end. Of course, their government are going to favor gambling, whether online or offline.
Even not only Macao, most countries in the world favour gambling because their government is making huge profit as tax from gambling platforms in their country, this is the reason even for poor regulations to restrict gambling ads on inappropriate places to display ads.
2732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Group and new investment plattform on: July 15, 2022, 09:14:57 AM
Shame on me that I trusted these guys.
You do not have to shame yourself, I just hope the amount you are scammed with is not too much.

But now I want to ask you one question: Does it make sense to investigate into that thing? I mean: I found out some data behind the "frontpages" and i could (for example) make a complainment at ic3.gov (IP address of the platform terminates in US!).
To give is easy but to recover is hard. It depends on the amount you are scammed. If the amount is huge like thousands or millions of dollars, you can investigate about it. But if it is just a small amount, you can just overlook it and forget about it and avoid further scam. Do not trust recovery service and avoid being scammed again. Money that will be used for investigation is much and the chance that you will know the culprits is low.
2733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P transaction cheating techniques. on: July 15, 2022, 08:26:41 AM
When you are about to sell your usdt on P2P, you will be the one to select who you want to sell to, so few among them always set high prices at the interface so that you are going to sell for them, then after clicking the user the price will change. For example the picture I posted above, if the the person you want to sell to wants to pay $621 immediately you click on the person the price will change from $621 to around $620, most people don't really notice that.
I get you correctly now. I do not joke when It comes to money, this has been one of the reasons I do not convert to fiat directly using bitcoin, I first convert bitcoin to USDT which is the stable coin with the highest p2p liquidity in my country, as I want to exchange the coin to fiat, I use calculator to manually calculate the amount I want to buy or sell and I make sure it is correct.

I am not quite sure about this, so correct me if am wrong here, but I don't think the buyer or the seller can change the rate while the order is still open and hasn't been paid.
It can not be altered once the trade is opend already, but before the trade is opened, you can see changes in the price, but I noticed this on Binance only when I am using express and I think the reason is from Binance itself and not from the seller. But there h
have been sometimes I later do not convert bitcoin to fiat directly because I was thinking of manipulation. There was a day I noticed up to $6 difference that should have been a loss for me if supposing I did not manually calculate in USDT, I had to choose another buyer that time, not express but p2p this time.
2734  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The google search results for "1XBit Review" are quite shocking... on: July 15, 2022, 07:54:00 AM
We should not believe or trust google in anything, they are more after money than any other thing.

According to what I saw on Trustpilot:

The reviews have 4.0 score out of 5.0. As for me, if I check a site and I saw any bad review, I checked the bad review specifically, on the bad review, they were more about users that are unable to withdraw from the gambling site, that alone will not make me use 1xbit.

Definitely, the good ones of the reviews are fake.
2735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P transaction cheating techniques. on: July 14, 2022, 08:31:54 AM
Many buyers and sellers were involved in a peer-to-peer transaction; some of the cheaters among them will set a very high purchase price to entice the seller, but the seller falls for this and always pays less than what they agreed to.
I still do not understand what you mean, how will the cheater make money while the other person will lose?

What I have noticed on Binance before is that some people that are buying and selling low amount will include a message that they will deducted certain amount of money that they are using it for bank charges and charges required to display ads. But in this case, better not just to make deal with them.

Or can you explain better if I am getting it wrong.
2736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1BTC (69,000 loaves) ≠ 1BTC (20,000 loaves) if Bitcoin is a currency on: July 14, 2022, 07:53:00 AM
This point is a quasi-philosophical discussion that I'm not going to get into.

What I wanted to emphasize with this thread is that if you use Bitcoin to buy things, you are affected by the considerable drop in purchasing power that has occurred these months, because you buy less than half as much stuff.

1BTC=1BTC can comfort you if you don't spend the Bitcoin you have to buy goods and services, but HODL it.
I noticed that on this forum that some people will say 1 BTC is 1 BTC, it is right but I too see it as a wrong statement to be used during bear market, but in cases like when a newbie is confused, thinking that the value of his bitcoin can be altered when investing, the newbies can be corrected that no alteration because 1 BTC is 1 BTC. I have noticed that because of the volatility, some newbies are confused.

Bitcoin is a speculative asset in this regard, it is not suitable to be used as a currency. But let us see it in another way too, I still do not have option than to convert my bitcoin to fiat whenever I want to spend, what if I can just spend it directly, that does not differ. But some people do not know how bitcoin price may fluctuate, these are the type of people that should be discouraged from using it as a currency because they may not know when to convert from unstable coin to stable coin and from stable coin back to unstable coin.

You are not wrong.
2737  Economy / Economics / Re: Capitalizing on the strong US dollar? on: July 14, 2022, 07:40:05 AM
If I get you correctly, you want to buy US dollar and hold it? You can if you just want to hold it for short time period, but for long time period, it is not advisable. But bitcoin has fallen significantly, if you are not spending money for a long time, I will advice you to just hold bitcoin instead. Dollar is a strong currency, but know that its value still decline after long period of time.
2738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1BTC (69,000 loaves) ≠ 1BTC (20,000 loaves) if Bitcoin is a currency on: July 14, 2022, 07:31:11 AM
What is a currency? Anything that has value that is spent by people, but the value is not what that makes it a currency, it is the physical form it has. A dollar note is a currency but if changed to new type, the old note becomes useless.

What is money? The intrinsic value of anything that people spend often makes it money.

Is bitcoin a currency? Bitcoin is money, not having a physical form but a digital form that we heard about and that we use to know that it is of value, even if not called a currency, it can still be referred to as a cryptocurrency.

Types of currency: if it can be physical and digital currency, bitcoin being a currency will lead to another debate.

For example: Poker Player is Poker Player. Do we agree with that? Surely we do. But is Poker Player when he was 7 years old the same as Poker Player when he is 70 years old? No way.
You age does not change that you are a man. The amount of food you can buy with dollar or any fiat in the last ten years, you can not use the same amount of dollar or fiat to buy it this year, fiat value also decline.
2739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can all (or most) cryptocurrencies rise and fall at the same time? on: July 14, 2022, 07:15:57 AM
How can the prices of 100s of cryptos all move in the same direction at the same time?
Because traders more buy at the same time irrespective of the coin, because traders sell at the same time irrespective of the coin also.

For holding, after bitcoin halving, people fomo and holders buy more during the periods and sell more during the bear time periods.

The price is mostly controlled by bitcoin price, do not get me wrong, I mean when people are buying bitcoin, they are buying altcoins too, when they are selling bitcoin, they are selling altcoins too. That is crypto market and that is the reason.

Mostly because bitcoin (BTC) still acts as sort of the "index" of the cryptocurrency space (just like the SPY with stocks), and that BTC trading pairs have the most trading volume and market liquidity.
This is how it will always be, that is how cryptocurrencies are, following the same trends, but percentage rise or fall always differs.
2740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Saves my relatives both of Life, Time and money on: July 13, 2022, 01:10:59 PM
How was she able to trade the money for bitcoin? Also bank would have been used legally to make the transfer. But buying bitcoin makes cross border transfer faster and cheaper, which is a good advantage over fiat.

I did not see anything like noncustodial wallet when you were narating the event, possibly she used a crypto exchange for the purchase? If so, she should know that she do not have complete control on her coins and it is better to move the coin to a noncustodial wallet. Getting a hardware wallet will be perfect for better safety.

If the story is true, I am glad about your relative.
