2 my favorite team isn't qualified, the Netherland playing badly, they can't continue to the next round same as Portugal did. Belgium is still playing compact but they sacrificed their 2 pillar players (De bruyne and Hazard) I hope their injuries are not serious for the next to continue match versus Italy. One of my favorite teams (Portugal) got kicked out yesterday. I guess now I will have to support Italy. Among the remaining teams I don't like anyone except Italy, Croatia and Czechia (and Croatia are unlikely to qualify for the QF, as their PQF match is against Spain which is scheduled for today). Italy will be facing the no.1 ranked team in the world, so fingers crossed at the moment. And at the same time Czech Republic have relatively easier opponents in Denmark (not discounting the fact that they thrashed Wales 4-0). Never really a fan of Portugal but looking at highlights you have to say they probably deserved to get at least a goal if not even win based on the number of chances, Belgium had one wonder shot but that's the quality that wins the games for people at this level I guess! They were lucky Lukaku seemed off form but then again, losing 1-0 is as bad as losing 3-0 when it's KO. My bet is still alive on Spain but it's a tough match ahead of them here! In such uncertain matches between top teams, usually one situation or a small detail decides. Belgium managed to score a goal out of nowhere in a difficult and boring match without a real chance and that decided the winner. The Netherlands did not take their chance and the punishment arrived very quickly and brutally. As for the matches today, although Spain may be the favorite in the match against Croatia, it will be a very difficult match for them, and I think everything will be open until the end. it is getting a little boring with Djokovic dominating, i don't see Tsitsipas being the next number one player, maybe Medvedev or Thiem, Tsitsipas showed good quality tennis on clay, but still did not defeat Djokovic, from my opinion i think Thiem would be the next number one player, i have seen him play on hard with no problem and actually pretty good, and also on clay, didn't see a lot of grass tournaments though.
Boring but at least his games are not like Federer era when he was just winning everything so effortlessly. This is very bad news for the Croatian national team because Perisic was one of the best players in the group stage. But I don’t think theymos will implement any changes to the merit system, I am sure he has already done the math as to how many rank ups are possible with present merit sources, if he does implement the change then i think he will reduce the refill merit amount to the merit sources.
I sincerely hope that theymos is not considering reducing the amount of merit available for merit sources. It seems to me that the need for merits is great and many merit sources do not have enough merit to reward every quality post. I think it's important that there's always a balance between the number of merits available and the number of quality posts and right now I'm not sure if that's quite the case. Of course, only theymos has all the data but obviously some merit sources are inactive and on the other hand we have a lot of quality applications for new merit sources here. I personally hope that soon we will see new merit sources and that those who are inactive will be removed as merit source or at least have their number of available merits reduced. |

Today we will watch maybe 2 less attractive but very interesting matches.
It seems to me that Denmark and special Italy are the favorites but surprises are possible.
Denmark went through very difficult trials in this tournament and now they have their big chance while Italy was very convincing in their group but realistically they had no tough opponents.
Out of these 4 national teams, only Italy has a serious chance to win this tournament, but the Italians still have to prove themselves against stronger rivals.
Italy is an almost certain bet and the second match is much more uncertain.

Ne, nije. Cijela poenta Bitcoina je da je bizarno sloziti se sa bankarskim sistemom kojem je "logicno" da ti novac vrijedi sve manje i manje... (i mali broj manipulatora koji ti "kontroliraju" tu inflaciju).
Mislio sam na to da je logično gledajući s bankarskog gledišta. Naravno da je jedan od ciljeva Bitcoina da ti lova (ili u ovom slučaju BTC) vrijedi sve više kako vrijeme odmiče. Vjerojatno je to jedan od razloga zašto ga većina iz bankarskog svijeta ne boli i ne razumije, a ljudi u kriptu smatraju investicijskim sredstvom umjesto valutom plaćanja. Dio je to, a i dio brainwashing. Naime, u bankarstvu pare moraju biti pokrivene "necim", tj zlatom. Svi znamo da to vec pola stoljeca nije tako, ali tako se ekipa trenira od prvog dana. Pricao sam s jednim direktorom banke u HR vezano za crypto, i on je prvo pitao "a sto je pokrice koje mu daje vrijednost?". Da, tzv. ''zlatni standard'' je Amerika napustila već davnih dana, a sa svakom novom administracijom se samo još dodatno zadužuju. Da se obični ljudi tako zadužuju ne bi im bilo pomoći ali država kao Amerika može jednostavno ''tiskati'' novca koliko im treba Naravno, pitanje je koliko je taj ''život na dug'' dugoročno održiv i neki analitičari već upozoravaju na opasnost visoke inflacije, ali to je već drugi topic. No, smiješno je da ti tzv. financijski stručnjaci, koji sami govore da je trenutni ekonomski sustav dugoročno neodrživ, ali sami ne nude ništa novo, apriori odbijaju uopće razmotriti opciju kriptovaluta kao moguće dugoročno, realno i održivo ekonomsko rješenje. |

The group of death was really exciting to watch yesterday. For the competition it is good that 3 best teams went through but I'm kinda sad that the Hungarians didn't hold on at the end.
They played admirably against top 3 teams and would probably go through if they were placed anywhere else.
Regarding the knockouts, we drew Spain which was by far the worst option. Really a shame because we got them only after Sweden's goal in the 95th minute.
I am also sorry for Hungary, although it must be said that they were very lucky against France and should have lost that match. Germany played a great match against Portugal and I did not expect them to struggle so much against Hungary. As for Croatia, history seems to be repeating itself because a similar situation happened at the last European Championship. Croatia should have played against Iceland, if I remember correctly, but then the Icelanders scored in the last minute of the third game in their group and in the end Croatia got the strongest possible opponent, Portugal.
