2721  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Global untraceable phone calls - is it still a good idea? on: June 07, 2022, 07:56:59 AM
The thing is.... can you live with yourself, if someone used your service for criminal activities. (That was the reason why one of the biggest Mixer operators closed their site)

Imagine some Pedophile using your service to groom a child and then ultimately ending up in him/her raping or murdering that child? (Will the authorities come after you, if something like that happens and will your ToS stand up in court?)

Scenario #2 : Imagine if a terrorist organization used your service to plan a terrorist attack like 911. The 3Letter agencies will come down on you with the full force of the law.

It is fine, if you create a service like this for yourself and some people that you know, but when it is public.... things become a lot more complex.  Roll Eyes

This will only work in a regulated environment and a lot of casinos are not regulated, so they will simply allow players without KYC requirements and underage gambling and tax evasion will still be a problem for Denmark.  Roll Eyes

The new problem will be scam casinos popping up to target those people that does not want to adhere to the KYC verification and people losing a lot of money on these scam sites. (They will have no backing for the government to protect them, so they will simply not report it)  Roll Eyes
2723  Economy / Economics / Re: Trouble in paradise for India? on: June 07, 2022, 06:23:54 AM
Well India is going to have more problems soon, if they keep on undermining western sanctions, by buying Russian Oil and then refining it and selling it back to European nations.  Roll Eyes  The US President has already warned them that there will be consequences for their actions, but they are simply ignoring it.

India’s external debt was US$ 570 billion at the end of March 2021. It recorded an increase of US$ 11.6 billion over its level at end of March 2020. The external debt to GDP ratio increased to 21.1% at end of March 2021 from 20.6% an year ago. "Crash Test"

A few of my friends has been teaming up to test the original game ===> "Crash"

They started $0.01 bets on "Crash" with "Auto play" enabled to see what the highest multiplier would be, if they continued doing that for hours on end. (basically dumping money down the drain to test this)  Tongue

Something that they noticed was that "Auto play" was disabled, just before the highest multiplier was hit. This is weird, because the $0.01 session was uninterrupted for hours, without "Auto play" being interrupted before that happened.

One or two of them will get a situation where it will lag slightly after they press the "Cashout" and then it will crash, saying that they lost the bet.

Challenge : Can anyone try to hit something above 2000x on "Crash" to see if they get the same result? (This might just be a system glitch) - Please post your bet ID if you managed to hit something above 2000x  Wink
2725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US energy company opens mining facility in Middle East to use stranded natural.. on: June 07, 2022, 05:35:05 AM
This is the same company that recently partnered with ExxonMobil with the same goal of putting into productivity a good amount of excess gas that would otherwise just be wastefully burned off. It seems they're making significant success in this venture. But the potential is still huge. After all, there's still so much wasted gas out there. Year after year, at least a hundred billion cubic meters of gas is just wastefully flared.

This is apparently good news but this is not turning green. So this doesn't go along with the goal of reaching 100% green energy for Bitcoin mining.

I disagree with you.... if it is simply flared with no use, it will be a waste of energy ....but now that energy is used for something and less electricity is spend that are generated from "dirty" resources. (Eg Coal burning)  Wink

Anything that generated electricity or has the potential to generate energy, without being used... is simply a waste. If you use that energy that would have been wasted, you save the planet. (because you are not using something else to get that electricity)  Roll Eyes
2726  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: June 06, 2022, 07:17:25 AM
The sanctions and boycotting of Russia and it's businesses are simply not working.  Roll Eyes  The rest of the world that are not part of this sanctions and boycotting are simply bypassing these restrictions and capitalizing on it. (Take India as an example ==> Buy Oil from Russia ==> Refine it ===> Sell it to Europe.)  Roll Eyes

A lot of Russian businessmen has already shifted their wealth into "Safe havens" and they are waiting for the Storm to blow over. (That is to say, if they are not assassinated before the War is over) = https://www.dw.com/en/mysterious-series-of-deaths-among-russian-oligarchs/a-61719107
2727  Economy / Economics / Re: Crashes are The Best Times to Get Rich - Robert Kiyosaki on: June 06, 2022, 06:45:08 AM
I am busy reading one of his latest books called, "FAKE: Fake Money, Fake Teachers, Fake Assets: How Lies Are Making the Poor and Middle Class Poorer" and he does not pull any punches.  Wink

I have read all his other books and I follow him on Social media... and he says it in the way it is. If the government is corrupt or if the educational system is flawed, he will say it.

So, I can understand why a guy like him will support Bitcoin, because he knows the Fiat system better than most people out there.  Wink
2728  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Central Bank Digital Currencies Kill Cryptocurrencies ? on: June 06, 2022, 05:49:31 AM
This coming from one of the countries with a very high corruption rate ==> In 2021 their Corruption Perceptions Index ranked the country in 85th place out of 180, on a scale where the lowest-ranked countries are perceived to have the most honest public sector. Various factors contribute to corruption, including officials siphoning money from government social welfare schemes . Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_in_India

Can you imagine trusting a government with your wealth, if they are stealing money from a social welfare scheme? Remember these government officials will have full control over the "digital" currency, so they can change the supply and they can track all tokens on their database. (They might even be able to taint coins, so that it cannot be used or block people's access to their wallets)  Roll Eyes
2729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kenyan energy company entices Bitcoin miners with geothermal power on: June 06, 2022, 05:36:42 AM
In the Corruption Perceptions Index 2021 Kenya is ranked 128th out of 180 countries for corruption, tied with seven other countries, including Bolivia, Azerbijan, Laos, and Paraguay - Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_in_Kenya  (So they are doing very well or they are very good at hiding it)  Roll Eyes

In any way, the price of the electricity that are provided...should make provision for some discount to the miners to run air-conditioning 24/7... because the temperatures are quite high for Bitcoin mining to be profitable.  Roll Eyes

Guys, let's talk Plinko.

Now I know the experience is different for everyone and there are no fixed formula to hit the MAX multiplier, but people what is your experience with it?

1. How many bets on the Seed does it take for you to hit the MAX multiplier? (It was said.... 40k or 60k ...but lately people are saying 100k or 200k bets) - I am currently on 489k bets ....still no MAX win.  Angry

2. Do you increase the bet amount per ball as you push towards the goal? (You obviously cannot stay on say $0.20 for all the bets.)
3. Do you switch Coins? (What happens if you switch coins)

Please share your experience, because my Plinko is a bottomless Money Pit!
Changing seed doesn't change anything, it is still random to hit max multiplier. Switching coins has no effect on house games as well. For plinko, I prefer doing 5k bets per seed and rotate seed after 5k drops till hitting it.

What is your success rate with that strategy, compared to the opposite strategy ...where you continue on the same seed.. until you hit the maximum multiplier?

I am basically willing to try anything else now.... because it is getting ridiculous to bet 500k bets on Plinko and not hitting that maximum multiplier once.  Roll Eyes  ==> Total bets made with pair = 496,190

Ps... Someone suggested increasing bet size after every 10k bets.... to make up for losses when you win. (Imagine where I would have been with the bet size, if I had done that)
2731  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Weeks of Wealth weekly tournaments 🏆 200,000 USDT prize pool on: June 05, 2022, 01:11:45 PM
Some people know him, some don't for sure Bitcasino has a target there. If I'm not mistaken sportsbet/bitcasino have partnered with streamers, right? I mean in the past
with the channel name Bidule, why Bitcasino not continue this collaboration? Currently, many casinos use streamers as sponsors even in one session the streamer gets 30k live viewers, isn't this a new market?
Of course Bitcasino tries other marketing by choosing some world-famous ambassadors isn't that good compared to streamers?
Bitcasino can attract world artists, of course this method is different from other casinos, so with this step the casino will be better known by their chosen ambassadors.
Because sportsbet/bitcasino has become big all over the world, marketing must be broad again.
I think what Bitcasino is doing is very precise.

I just hope Bitcasino will be more conservative with their marketing strategy, because one of their main competitors are pumping hundreds of millions of Dollars into paid Streamers and celebrities and the gaming experience is suffering as a result.

They should rather OPT for a good balance between "gamer experience" and "marketing" ....because the players are funding the marketing with the money that they are wagering. (If the RTP is bad, the gamblers will start looking at alternative casinos with a more favorable RTP)  Roll Eyes
2732  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: India resells Russian oil to the European Union. on: June 05, 2022, 01:00:15 PM
The sanctions will never work, because people are too dependent on Oil and Gas..... and if they cannot buy it from Russia, then they will explore other markets. Russia can destroy the global Oil cartel by selling it's Oil and Gas at a cheaper price to countries that are not part of these sanctions.  Roll Eyes

We saw what happened to Iraq and Iran when the Western world sanctioned them after the 911 fiasco.  Roll Eyes (They just sold Oil to "friendly" countries and those companies re-sold that processed Oil to the rest of the world)  Roll Eyes
2733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 05, 2022, 08:42:08 AM
I am one of the weird people that will be excited when there are a Bear market, because it is an opportunity to buy more bitcoins... and by the time when the Bull market hit, I start feeling sad... because there are a high probability that I have to sell some of those coins.

The hunt for the "low" prices are more interesting ... than receiving the reward for the Bull market prices. Yes, it is nice to make huge profits, but you always feel sad when you have to let go of those coins you hoarded for such a long time.  Roll Eyes
2734  Economy / Economics / Re: Food crisis coming? What's wrong about it? It could be good on: June 04, 2022, 06:09:08 PM
I really do not appreciate OP's stance on the food crisis, because I work in a third world country on contract and I have experienced first hand what poverty and hunger are doing to developing children and old people.

I wonder if OP have skipped 3 meals in his live ... or if he goes through the day on one meal that consists mostly of rice or wheat.  Roll Eyes Let's face it... the food crisis will eventually become a problem for the rich 1st world countries ..... in the form of humanitarian support... and this will be funded by taxes or donations. (So, prepare yourself for higher taxes to give social support to the people that are not as fortunate as you)  Roll Eyes
2735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thrives on education and self-sovereignty on: June 04, 2022, 04:41:48 PM
I can tell you from my experience in Africa (I work on contract there) ...that education is VERY important for Bitcoin (BTC) to thrive. A lot of the people in Africa and other 3rd world countries does not get good education...and their government has dumbed down the education system on purpose. (A corrupt government can only thrive in a situation where citizens fear them and where they do not question their rules and decisions)

Bitcoin can look very complicated to a lot of people, but not all people want to know the intricacies of this technology. (How many people actually know how the Banking system work?.... but they still use money.)  Wink   If we can explain the basics to these people and how different it is to the corrupt Banking & government backed Fiat system.... they will see the light.  Wink
2736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought anything with btc? on: June 04, 2022, 07:13:07 AM
I buy food at local food vendors every day with Bitcoin (BTC) ...because I made a decision to use a 80/20 strategy to support Bitcoin as a currency. So for those that does not know what a 80/20 strategy is... here is a short explanation ==> When you buy any bitcoins... split it into 2 wallets... one for spending (20%) and one for hoarding (80%)  Wink

If all of us do that .... retailers / merchants / shops will continue accepting Bitcoin (BTC) as a payment option (Currency) and that will give Bitcoin some utility. (I just use my food budget for this.. but I change it to BTC)  Wink
2737  Economy / Economics / Re: What can an average JOE do to face the global food crisis? on: June 03, 2022, 11:20:03 AM
There are not really a lot that you can do..... the food prices has already increased substantially and I think there are not a lot of people in the position to buy bulk at these inflated prices. Even if you buy in bulk, most food items have an expiry date... so you will have to use those food items within a few months..or it will spoil.  Roll Eyes

I buy certain food items that last longer in bulk, like Rice & Flour & Tea & Powered Milk & Oats & Red Wine ...etc. Most of these products will last a year or longer.... so I am hoping that everything will return to normal....way before they reach their expiry date.  Tongue
2738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what countries have the best / most privacy fiendly bitcoin laws? on: June 03, 2022, 05:39:52 AM
The thing is, every time some centralized service touch Fiat currencies, it has to adhere to KYC/AML regulations. You can trade person to person on this forum via trusted Escrow services or you can find Bitcoin buyers & sellers locally, if you attend your local Bitcoin meetups. (Build a relationship with the people and start doing small trades)

The governments have been closing the loopholes on most P2P platforms ...and even Localbitcoins.com https://localbitcoins.com/guides/verification-guide have account verification now.  Roll Eyes

2739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4.45 million bitcoin untouched for 5yrs,do BTC community can retrieve in future? on: June 03, 2022, 05:29:00 AM
Let's turn the table for a moment....

Imagine that some of those coins was yours... will you like it if someone "touch" your coins, just because you hoarded those coins for 5 years? Do you think Bitcoin will be embraced and trusted by the public, if uncirculated coins are moved, without the owners permission?

The Banks will "lock" inactive accounts, if you do not use them, because they want you to use that money... so that they can charge you fees. In Bitcoin ..YOU are your own Bank and you have FULL control over your own coins.  Wink
