This could be an effective approach but I guess even if we boycott the Russian gambling platforms, it still couldn't stop the war because aside from taxes from gambling, they still have lots of resources to support their current war. Innocent lives are already suffering from what is happening to their country but I believe that this too shall pass. The sad thing is, that this war could continuously take more lives.
Well if the the sanctions which have been imposed by the US and their allies have not been enough to stop Putin from invading Ukraine it was unlikely a small boycott was going to have too much of an impact, but despite all of this if people want to vote with their wallet and not support any casino which has any kind of relationship with Russia then they are on their right to do so.

Although it did not have any effect on Russia from the boycott of the gambling platform but it is only a small effort on our part not to support war on Ukrainian territory. I hope the war will end soon because many soldiers and civilians have fallen victim to the war without knowing when it will end.

You're right. We must think about this.

According to experts from the Yale Institute, almost 1,000 companies have publicly announced they are voluntarily curtailing operations in Russia to some degree beyond the bare minimum legally required by international sanctions.
source: https://som.yale.edu/story/2022/almost-1000-companies-have-curtailed-operations-russia-some-remain

This will not seriously affect the country’s economy, because there are still a lot of companies working in Russia and Russia is a country rich with resources. But it’s an obvious political step, which is very important. And, it's an obvious step from a human point of view.

Might not be that big but if there are lots who do make the same step then for sure it would make some toll but cant really be denied that Russia is really indeed rich for them to sustain out this war for long
despite of the sanctions that its been facing.
This doesnt only talk on gambling industry but also in other industries as well on which there are steps which had been made and some of them do get along on international sanctions and steps that had been made.
Even how hard we do make out some support of boycott but it wont really be that enough on stopping this war or crisis.

I think this is more of a personal choice based on individuals on what they think about this boycotting of a thing. No body ever supported the invasion of Russian soldiers on Ukraine by based on the directive of Putin. There had been many sanctions on Russia but it looks like the sanctions is not having any effects on Russia based of the muscles of the Putin and the Russian soldiers. Taking this into action is good but it all depends on every individuals.

Only chireo to make a clarification, the fact that the sanctions that Russia has, what positive impact has made to avoid deaths? Putin remains very good, has everything, money, comfort, food, the mejroes attention, that means that the sanctions do not They are for him, for the people of Russia, people living in a communist regime that is murderer, they are not to blame, a boycott that is against Russian businesses would result in more fire to the fire, because people who have their Businesses that have fought for a lot of effort, cannot do anything, the business of their entire life goes to the trash for politics.

Putin knows that he has power and without oil and gas world would collapse. So he is not listening to anyone. Even the sanctions had no effects on Russia and seem like they are going to invade most past of Ukraine. Sad for Ukraine but Putin should have mercy on people and stop the war.

Quite often it looks like the war have come to an end, but it continues. Russia have missed many important sporting events. Ukraine on the other side came close to the qualifier and lost to Wales. If not Ukraine could've got into this year's FIFA World Cup 2022. Boycott isn't necessary and every sportsman is talking about peace and Russia doesn't have plans of hearing it.

It is not like Putin he is winning, his first strategical objectives have been not met from the army of Russia, they are suffering heavy losses and will continue to suffer even more,Ukraine is firmly convinced to fight for their freedom and they will do so as long as they have power to do so.They have made considerable advances in Kherson and Kharkiv region, although they are losing in Donbas right now the fact that they are liberating other areas shows that the war is far from over. The only ones paying the price of the sanctions so far are the Russian civilians who strangely enough do not care that they are being isolated from the whole world.

Looks and sounds like the war is going to go on for a while yet. I don't think gambling sites will ban Russians, it's of little use either. But what about all the other measures taken against the Russians or imposed by gambling sites? Would they then be negated once the war is over? I don't expect the war to end this year. The gambling world is about too much money, they can't lose Russian customers. Interests are too great.

Unlike Russian soldiers, this boycott is not intended to kill civilians. The main goal is a peaceful boycott of Russian casinos to reduce the inflow of money to the Russian budget from taxes, which will reduce the support for the war.
I wish the world gives a glimpse to all the war affected country around - so much damage has been done to the world in the name of peace. Russia too is very stubborn. But there are so many other countries which are suffering and the victims are asking for peace and mercy from the war lords.

I think this boycotting may look like a good idea but it's not the best at this recent time. There had been so many sanctions on Russia as a result of Putin's action on invading Ukraine. If we now join this sanctions by ignoring gambling platforms that we love and is owned by a Russian or affiliated to Russia, then I think that could be a wrong move at this very time.

I think so too because there is no sign of Putin stopping his war yet. Gambling sites have also not made it public that they will ban Russians from playing on their gambling sites because there is a possibility that it will reduce the casino's total revenue. But many people hope the war will end soon because they don't want to see more people suffer because of the war. Hopefully, it is so that the world can be safe and calm again.

The sanctions and boycotting of Russia and it's businesses are simply not working.  Roll Eyes  The rest of the world that are not part of this sanctions and boycotting are simply bypassing these restrictions and capitalizing on it. (Take India as an example ==> Buy Oil from Russia ==> Refine it ===> Sell it to Europe.)  Roll Eyes

A lot of Russian businessmen has already shifted their wealth into "Safe havens" and they are waiting for the Storm to blow over. (That is to say, if they are not assassinated before the War is over) = https://www.dw.com/en/mysterious-series-of-deaths-among-russian-oligarchs/a-61719107

To be honest I feel the exact same thing about the sanctions against Russia. In Western media it sounds like the sanctions are hurting Russia a lot and the Russian economy is on its knees. But they are saying this for 2 months now and I don't really see how Russia is really crumbling. How long will it really take for the sanctions to show effects? Because when we look to the rest of the world they are not united and will not impose sanctions. Big countries like India, China or Brazil already stated that their economies are connected too much to Russia and they rely on the trade. And this point the war needs to stop. How about of making new sanctions we get the two countries to sit down and make peace? I am against anymore boycott of Russian companies, including casinos. So we know that this revenues is directly funding the Ukraine war?

But see the double game - India supported Ukraine and yet they are dependent on Russia for thier oil supply.
These sections are surely not going to work. because are mentioned above most of the country trade and energy supply is depended on Russia.

Unlike Russian soldiers, this boycott is not intended to kill civilians. The main goal is a peaceful boycott of Russian casinos to reduce the inflow of money to the Russian budget from taxes, which will reduce the support for the war.

Of course, the mere boycotting of Russian casinos will not stop this war. We can already see that Putin does not care much about the sanctions and boycotts that many countries and corporations have imposed on Russia. However, if the number of sanctions and boycotts increases, it will eventually come to the point that Putin will have to surrender and stop the war.

The boycotting of the gambling platforms owned by Russians may not stopped the war but can be a good move to show that Putin aggressive attack on innocent Ukrainian citizens is a wrong move. Putin needs to be sanctions heavily for breaking international humanitarian law by attacking civilians and residential areas . This war is supposed to be against Ukrainian soldiers not the citizens that know nothing about war how how to use wapons to fight. Putin has taken a wrong move against the innocent civilians.

I don't really think Putin is that compassionate to think about the business owners who will suffer from boycotting. Given that he has no mercy for the innocent civilians in Ukraine, it's most likely the same to his constituents. Putin is completely aggressive leader afterall.

Those people that are also innocent will suffer from this boycotting. This isn't just and fair most especially if it's not proven that they support the horrendous acts of their leader. Their source of income will be at stake just because they are Russian citizens. Whereas not every Russian have the same values and principles.

Did the whole EU and the other world sanction stopped Putin from doing what he should have not done?
Putin is doing what he amid - despite of the fact the whole world turned against them - they will surive because the world look up to them for oil and gas, the world can live without gambling but not with our oil and gas.
