Right, you're going to get a Bitcoin symbol on your head. Right. Even though everyone else will see it as a Baht symbol.

Oh, and there are more creative ways to scam 3 BTC. Wink
2722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] PhenixEx Notice on: October 01, 2013, 04:23:42 PM
tldr phenixcoin operators already dumped their premine, thus have no motivation to continue working on the coin.

Exactly this. Phenixcoin has always been shady, I wouldn't be surprised if it was made solely for the premine profit.
2723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Flaw With Bitcoin?? on: October 01, 2013, 04:03:01 PM
-mining becomes very centralized thanks to ASIC

Are you an idiot? No-one said that mining became centralized when expensive GPU's were used, but they say that it is now. No, it isn;t. As ASICs improve, they'll become cheaper and faster, meaning anyone will be able to mine. More mining hardware actually = less centralization.
2724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin credit cards? on: October 01, 2013, 06:10:52 AM
It's possible. I can see a Bitcoin debit card (scan card, enter PIN, info is sent to the debit card companies' server, they send a transaction from your wallet) being possible, not sure about a Bitcoin credit card though.

Who's in charge of this mega corporation to be? Who handles chargebacks and overdraft fees? I see no solution unless new hardware is developed to support bitcoin transaction exclusively

Maybe something like this could work, but way more than cash than credit card:
You go with the bitcoins you want to spend in a paper, with public and private key.
You buy what you want, vendor charges all the bitcoins in your paper and gives you change in another paper you only have public key (or the private is just hidden).

That way you can spend bitcoins without a phone. But of course shop will need internet and laptop/tablet/smartphone to do it.
[/quote]

Yes, that's also possible, but it would use a lot of paper.
2725  Other / Meta / Re: Is Selling Bitcointalk Accounts Allowed? on: October 01, 2013, 06:10:19 AM
I think it is ok if the account is a 'support' account for one of the bitcoin services if the service is sold to an investor.

Of course, I think most people expect that to happen, e.g if I own "EpicDice_PR" and sell the company, said buyer gets "EpicDice_PR".

...

Why doesn't your friend just loan you the BTC directly?
2727  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What if I owned 1.234;567;89 BTC instead of 1.23456789 BTC? on: October 01, 2013, 06:07:32 AM
(Or, as theymos said, you can use subscript i.e 0.123456789 or 0.123456789. It's pretty much a matter of personal preference, inputs.io scripts the last 6 decimal places.)
2728  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 1.2BTC/month just by posting! on: October 01, 2013, 06:04:27 AM
Are you fucking stupid? They want high quality posts, not picture threads which are only used for boosting post count. Please don't pull that "pictures are worth..." shit, too. >_>
Yes, "they" want high quality posts, but "they" are not the owner of the member's posts. Everyone posts what he/she sees fit.

Those pics are actually quite nice too  Wink

Yes, the difference is that "they" are paying him, and that "they" set down the T&C's for the ad.

"They" = basically all sig advertisers
2729  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Bitcointalk Forum Accounts for Sale - Not Hacked on: October 01, 2013, 06:03:34 AM
Yeah Im gonna pay 80 bux to have 100 accounts on an internet forum to choose from to bump my thread...Highly Likely Indeed! LMAO Undecided
Yeah man this is some fuck upped shit going on here.
Are Admins not looking at this subforum or what?

It is sick and nothing better than that to in the first place sell these damn things, and the second placeto buy them.

OP obviously knows that 99/100 of the accounts he will never sell will be used to scam people and this is to be taken seriously...

Mods think that if they rule against alts people will report them less. Lol, no, they'll report them more.
2730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If the American Economy Tanks... on: October 01, 2013, 06:00:54 AM
"If the American economy tanks......."

No possibility the solution has been found .

The 1 Trillion dollar coin will be minted in latest news , but apparently out of storage concerns the coin will be set into a comically oversized hat that will be worn by the Federal Reserve Chairman .

I guess kind of like a "  Coin hat " ?

US government advisors stated that the coin hat will need to be purposly comically oversized to show citizens and foriegners alike that of the coin hat wealth and power , and the subsequent wealth and power of thd coin therein placed in the coin hat.

There were arguments about what the oversized coinhat will be made out of , but most settled on a type of light alloy allowing the real 1T coin  to be set decoratively into the front , as the Fed chairman will only wear the coinhat when speaking offically about matter of the funing of the US gov debt.

Once the coinhat is handed to the to Fed chairman in an offical crowning the US government can continue normal function .

There will be a small after party apparently some dancing to mark the occasion and possibly the invasion of a small and insignifigant nation , people rumored it may be the Micronesia islands. Just to mark the occasion .

Erm. Yeah. That wasn't a really good joke, you don't simply

a) mint $1 trillion even if you're the U.S Gov
b) wear it in a fucking hat for someone to steal

3. Age does not matter. That is a baseless question that you did not even answer yourself.

Of course age matters.  People mature and develop morals as they age.  You cannot trust a 13 year old to do the right thing or to keep their word.  They haven't learned that yet.

Yes, age matters, but that's to a limit. Some people do mature much faster than others.

Are you saying I haven't learned to keep my word? ._. It does actually amaze me how people underestimate younger people.
2732  Economy / Services / Re: Send custom postcards for only ~0.028BTC - Now with International ordering! on: September 30, 2013, 09:06:31 PM
(including postcard junk)

The keyword is junk - it's bulk-sent for cheap. There aren't many reported problems of people being screwed over by having a first-class postcard thrown away with the rest of the junk mail people get.

Where would these problems be reported? Keeping in mind you can't prove it even was sent in the first place without a tracking system.

If I ask someone if they got my postcard and they say no, there's a problem.

Yeah, high quality.

Stunna, if you know anything about marketing. You should know pictures worth more than a thousand word. Also the threads which I started and participate, have more viewing than normal boring text thread. Also more than 99% members here are men. Men love looking at beautiful women pictures. So does this classed as spamming?

Are you fucking stupid? They want high quality posts, not picture threads which are only used for boosting post count. Please don't pull that "pictures are worth..." shit, too. >_>

I'll pay you 0.05 to play Modern Warfare 2.

Hey, is this offer valid for multiple people? Cheesy Lol
Depends.

Interesting. How much would one acquire if they played Modern Warfare 1, 2 and 3?
0.05

Hmmm.

Well, this is definitely strange.
2735  Economy / Lending / Re: Need help funding an 8 BTC loan @ 7.5% on BTCJam.com << High RISK / High REWARD on: September 30, 2013, 08:52:16 PM
Do you personally think that you're causing your investors to have a high risk? Not really a good thing to advertise.
2736  Economy / Lending / Re: I can give a 0.10 btc loan on: September 30, 2013, 08:43:37 PM
Why are you posting here?
Why are you posting that?
Is a 13 years old kid trustworthy?

Oh wait, I saw it, you want to make 2k posts this month, without spamming, so you post everywhere Cheesy

1. Because I have things to say.
2. Because it was the thing I wanted to say.
3. Age does not matter. That is a baseless question that you did not even answer yourself.

- Yes, I do want to make 2k posts this month. Am I spamming? Nah. I'm just being active. Try it some time, rather than being useless like a grain of sand in the beach.
2737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: September 30, 2013, 08:33:20 PM
Dooglus. That 3.6m total wagered is an impressive number. It might be more impressive PR-wise to put a US$ equivalent of it in the top right. Ticking over like the US debt clock  Smiley it could attract media attention.

It does not make any sense to convert all btc wagered at current btc/usd price. If btc price double up, the amount wagered (in usd) should not change.
It would make sense to take the current btc/usd price of every bets, and make a cumulative number.

But it would be very difficult, and I am not sure that it will be possible to calculate it for past bets.

You could say amount of BTC wagered converted to current value in USD.

Why USD? That shows at least a minimum level of support for the U.S dollar. Why not BTC converted to gold (troy) ounces?
