When Rippled will be released to the public?

No clue, remember Ripple is in beta right now, I would guess soon thou, probably this month or next. I hope.
2722  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Auction/Sell] qcu.co on: February 27, 2013, 07:34:22 AM
So you want ~$300 - $750 for a domain that is worth $50, please explain and prove that you own it with a landing page pointing to this thread.
2723  Other / Off-topic / I am kinda upset at Cloak tonight on: February 27, 2013, 06:34:19 AM
So if you don't know what cloak is, it is a VPN software for Macs and iOS devices, I got into the free beta round a while ago, and they just launched 1.0 during macworld. I had really high hopes then I found this https://www.getcloak.com/support/#will_you_ever_support_bitcoin, no explanation just a sorry and kinda rude no (it is text so who knows). They have all these awards for a great system, the software fits into Mac OSX perfectly, and yet they don't support Bitcoins? That sounds like the worst security ever. You have all my information on file for a credit card for subscriptions yet if I want to opt out of that and still pay for the service I am out of luck. I wanted to send an email and they made it this javascript to hide there email really.
2724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Gateway List on: February 27, 2013, 06:02:14 AM
There is only 2 because Rippled is not released to the public yet, or since i have check it hasn't been released. Once that happens a lot more people will probably be starting gateways, even I have been toying with the idea.
2725  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building and Hosting a BTC Site Anonymously on: February 27, 2013, 05:16:16 AM
Cold storage wallet is the the only true way to know you can't be hacked, but still need to build in features so you know that only your addresses are making it the costumers. Cause if I am a hacker and I get into your machine and I figure out where the code is to display your addresses, to the costumers, then I just replace that with an address, it could take a week or two and if your site is popular that could be 100's or even 1000's of bitcoins. So there is alot to think about, other wise just use bitpay or mtgox services in that department and you don't have to worry.
2726  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 10:23:27 PM

let me help you

2727  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 10:16:43 PM
yeah i'm gonna pay a lawyer for going after money with 1% chance to get it back. or spent tons of money making international calls. contact the dude yourself if you want to confirm  if my mails are legit. look at the dates etc my posting history etc. you really think i'd bother preparing a 40 bitcoin scam 3 months advance? :|

you guys are all fucking paranoid its insane. why would i WASTE my money on a lawyer instead saving up for  my trip , already wasted enough?

First off dealing with the S.E.C and not being from this country should have a lawyer just some advice. I am 23 and I have a business lawyer on hand that I can call whenever I need to so it doesn't cost me that much. So it isn't a waste of money, it is a good investment or your next trip maybe jail and that my friend is free Wink LOL

Also this is a clear red-flag and scam.
2728  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for a 40 bitcoin loan on: February 26, 2013, 09:37:11 PM
lay out is kinda fucked because of an excell copy paste. not really gonna bother adjusting it. i already posted enough stuff for credibility...

Best line yet, your asking us for a loan yet you think you have credibility when you have offered nothing really. Plus you have a btcjam account and you didn't even attempted to verify more stuff on there, and open the loan there. This is very shady.
2729  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Donations for New Bitcoin Bank. on: February 25, 2013, 04:11:31 PM

2730  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (NSFW) From the lovely girls of ClassyCams we have a treat for you! on: February 25, 2013, 07:04:18 AM
First off, I am not trying to troll or anything but maybe I can shed some light on this. I pretty sure we are all regular dudes, here and those girls are a little too fake. I am little messed up in this department cause I actually do think one of these girls is cute. But it is an acquired attraction. So try some more natural girls.
2731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would a Senior please help? on: February 25, 2013, 06:25:51 AM
... Also you need to "server=1" to your bitcoin.conf ...

Wow. Thank you. Was that so hard? Please, next time, just answer the question instead of being a jerk. I'll edit my posts to remove obstinate content.

WOW to you cause I wasn't even a jerk, and you forgot your sorry to me, you can edit that into a post Wink
2732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would a Senior please help? on: February 25, 2013, 05:49:06 AM
Mining is doing a computation over and over until the network accepts it, when the network accepts your solutions then you get to add transactions and get the fees from that.

Also mining is over especially solo for new people so stop wasting your time and money on electric, and explore another way to make bitcoins.

So, rather than answer my question about fixing the problem, your response is: "Don't bother. Go somewhere else."?

You're not a "Hero Member", you're a fucking troll.

Yes I am trolling you, I am saving you the embarrassment of spending more money then making money. Plus I did answer your question when you asked what is mining...

Plus I said nicely to explore another way to make bitcoin and help the community but I guess your dumb and just want to set up for failure.

What I do or do not do, failure or no, is none of your business; nor is how I choose to conduct my own business. I don't give a fuck about your "community" since the only one who answered trolled me rather than provide a helpful response.

If I choose to waste my time and efforts, that's my damned business. If you don't want to help, that's yours. But if you can't post something constructive and helpful, I'll thank you to keep your opinions to yourself.

I actually didn't even troll you, you just acting like a crazy person for nothing and if this how you conduct business, then maybe graduate Middle school, you acting like a 12yr.

Also you need to "server=1" to your bitcoin.conf it took all of 5 seconds to google, and you better say sorry, cause you just acted like a 12yr.

How, exactly, does mining work? It seems like "mining" is a bit like encrypting/decrypting transactions; but I'm a n00b, so what the hell do I know?

2734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ripple: let's test it! on: February 25, 2013, 05:32:39 AM
This Ripple is very difficult to get started with... i need to "trust" bitstamp... but because i have no XRP, i can not even trust Bitstamp... i am trying to move 3 BTC from bitstamp to my ripple wallet... but this convoluted system simply will not allow me.

Can any kind soul send me 300 XRP?
rGQCcCAG2fFmPY7X9zDZEhCnMp5JgAeziS

I will send it back if you want, once i figure out how to turn BTC into XRP from within Ripple.
1 btc I will do it
2735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did wallet.dat default location change on OS X after the bitcoin 0.8.0 update? on: February 25, 2013, 03:51:50 AM
I use a symbolic link for my bitcoin directory and since I updated to bitcoin 0.8.0 it didn't break so I would say no it has always been ~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin

2738  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to host a bitcoind server? on: February 25, 2013, 01:16:36 AM
You could just use your logs and get the password from him or sniff all incoming traffic. It takes time to earn rep, being around, helping and using the forums is how you build rep, just like a credit card, over time we will see your a good guy.

Good point, debug SSH logs might show something like that. Oh well, maybe someone can use it for a less... financial purpose.

Maybe you could put it to use hosting a spare electrum server mirror?

Or he can just host a node on it, and just not the use the wallet, to help protect the network.

Good ideas, but I'd like to use it to make some bitcoins. I have more electronic storage in particular than I know what to do with, but the server itself could be put to really any purpose, which is why I was hoping I could rent it out cheaply.

Well I hate to be the bad guy, but sadly if someone paid for storage on your server, they be a fool, and yes you could easily trick a newbie into letting you host a site or files for them, but that would be mean. So help the community out so later we can help you out.

2740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [NSFW] I quit my job and started a Bitcoin camgirl site on: February 25, 2013, 01:04:09 AM
on http://cam4btc.com girls were taking bitcoins but it kinda died off now. It is the first p2p bitcoin webcam platform. Also this site didn't middle man anything, the coins went directly to the girl.

*Disclaimer I don't own it*
