2721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk to reward the right balance? on: December 23, 2021, 04:34:11 PM
Crypto is known to be a volatile market and it's difficult to achieve good risk to reward ratios in such a volatile market.
I personally aim to get a 1:3 risk to reward ratio where if I am losing $10 then I set a profit target where I can earn $30 in the trade.
I change the strategy if I lose $30. This way you can keep trying different strategies until you start making profits.
2722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures Trading (Cross vs Isolated Margin) on: December 23, 2021, 04:13:43 PM
For me, I like cross margin better than Isolated margin because that way I can lose all of my money at once instead of losing them at different times in Isolated margin.
At the end, we just lose money in margin trading and I have seen little to nobody who has made profits in the long term trading in futures.

Both Cross and Isolated have their pros and cons. If you want to play safer then Isolated is a better option since you can rethink of a better strategy for the rest of your trades.
2723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: December 23, 2021, 04:01:45 PM
I have lost all my capital to trading but still yet I feel the urge to trade more, I spent a huge capital to trade some new coins recently and was actively involved in spot trading. But recently I lost all my capital and I decided to give a break but now am feeling I should return back to trading.

If you did take a break after losing all your capital then I must say that it was a wise choice but you didn't mention how long the break was.
If you took at least around a few weeks or months of a break then I think you must be good to go but again that depends on how you utilized your break.
If you analyzed the market enough and redid you strategy and at the same time accumulated a budget to begin trading with then you can start trading again.
But if not then you will just lose your capital again. You need to learn from your mistakes and try not to repeat them.

Only 6 days left to experience more features on duelbits adding a sports book to their casino is the best choice and a big surprised to all gamblers cause some gamblers like sports and also They can bet their favorite team in sports.
We will wait that update cause duelbits team working in it.

Yes, a lot of gamblers also love to bet with sports, and it's nice a move from Duelbits adding sports gambling.

No, there's no need to transfer or to visit another gambling site to play or to bet with your favorite sports.
We just have to wait for the green signal from the team.

Hope to see more gamblers to visit and bets, especially those who love sports,..

totally! there's a big crossover between gambling audiences and sports gambling
now, is there any chance to see websites like duelbits adding prediction markets in the future? like betting in elections or different events in the world?

If that could happen then it would be really awesome. Betting markets are one of my likes.
But even if duelbits decide to begin betting I would say that they should not only include sports betting but also betting on some of the coins.
Betting on price ranges of some coins like bitcoin and ether could be really entertaining and beneficial for duelbits.

-snip-
6 months is not a short period especially in crypto market that is very volatile. So if you want to do things which last 6 months, you must be sure that you don't touch that capital in next 6 months or even a bit longer. It means you have reserve budget to spend for many things and that capital is untouchable and you will still be fine without it.

FreeBitco.in is good so FUN token has good support from FreeBitco.in. Consequently, FUN token has good future to grow.

I agree on that. But I have decided to be more cautious - now I locked for 30 days, just to see what will happen in January. Then I plan to lock for another 90 days.
Benefits from locking are quite good - at least enough to risk. But I understand that people who locked more than few weeks ago may be disappointed with the current price.
Actually, the results from the locked period are not enough to cover losses due to the falling FUN Token price. Based on satoshi in september the price is around 40-50 Satoshi and now it's only 22 Satoshi meaning it's a pretty deep drop, but investors will understand that every investment has risks and since I'm not considering selling in the near future I don't think it's a problem, volatile in crypto is known to be very high.

That's absolutely correct. Although the price of FUN token has fallen more than 50% it is still a valuable coin to hold.
I have put all my 2500 coins to the 365 days lock in period and it's quite thrilling to see what the price of FUN will be after a year.
I just hope it pumps up and crosses 50 - 75 sats per coin but even it doesn't I won't be sad for it because of the premium benefits I would have availed by then.
2726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2021 Bitcoin market recaps on: December 22, 2021, 04:34:28 PM
The year 2021 have been a great year for bitcoin first because more institutions and companies adopted Bitcoin, and also Bitcoin did two times all-time high which was in strategic bull run season that has continued until this time that the year is almost coming to an end.
Indeed 2021 is a great year for Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency market.

I almost forgot that bitcoin hit a new ATH two times in this year and that was pretty amazing to be honest.
It was a nice bull ride which isn't over yet but I guess that was it for the ATH this year. We won't be seeing a new ATH until next year.
This year was really amusing for BTC with all the ups and downs (yeah Elon that's for you) bitcoin has been through.
I guess 2022 is the year we might see BTC crossing $100k. What do you think ?
2727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Highest profitable altcoin for you in 2021 on: December 22, 2021, 04:27:23 PM
The highest profitable altcoin for me in 2021 is Solana. I got in and bought Solana in the mid year and kept buying and doing DCA.
How did you manage to predict its future? I mean I am regularly seeing people do recommend some coin or token and I never listen to them as I do not believe into such claims. If I listen to them then probably I need to invest 5 to 10 different coins everyday and honestly I do not have such a big capital to cover all recommendations.

Actually I did not predict it's future but actually did a research on it. I read it's whitepaper and thought it is a potential coin.
I kept reading about it and followed it's community and started accumulating.

Quote
Overall for me ETH has been the most profitable coin till date. Holding it for over a year now.
Same here. I managed to buy some ethereum when it was trading below $200 2 years back. I was investing with it just like a gambling as I was not sure that eth will survive against new similar coins like bnb and all other dapps based coins. Still, I took risk and I enjoyed good returns.

Wow that's amazing. Are you still holding those ETH or did you sell it at peak ?
2728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: December 22, 2021, 04:11:37 PM
According to the article here, that Tommy Fury is dealing with an injury even before it was announced leading him to pull out of the fight. That rib injury was caused by what they called an idiot on that gym that punch Tommy Fury with a bare knuckle that leads to a broken bone.

I can't imagine why that event happened in the first place? Not saying Tommy Fury should be able to handle it but did he receive the punch without paying attention? But regardless, at least his body should be strong enough to handle the impact even unaware and defense less.

It's not necessary that his body should be able to handle the punch. Hitting with bare hands has maximum risks of bone damage.
The intensity with which a punch lands on the body is what determines how much impact it creates on the bone.
If the threshold is crosses then a bone damage is inevitable. Boxers take a lot of body shots already which does create an impact on their bones.
These days we can see boxers taking shots to keep themselves pain free and not make any big impact on the game. There is nothing to determine the impact that happened through injection. Jake Paul is energetic and has got good skills to fight against the Tommy Fury, because he's different from Logan Paul who use his fame to play exhibition matches. Maybe someday Logan Paul will request for a exhibition match with Jake Paul. Smiley

Jake Paul might be better than Logan Paul but he still lacks the skills when compared to Tommy Fury in my perspective.
Tommy is more professional than Jake Paul. But yeah Logan Paul is just getting in it for the fame.
Jake will definitely kick Logan's ass if they both were to fight each other.

~

Here's what my current stats look like.
I never had any luck with the jackpot so far.
Nevertheless, 0.01343538 BTCTC alone from the Free Rolls are already quite nice...  Smiley

Quite nice indeed! How did you manage to be almost 3 times luckier than me with free rolls? Smiley

Since I have been registered on FreeBitco.in since 2014, this is actually easy to explain.
In the past, you got completely different BTC amounts per FreeRoll as today.

In such moments you realize how fast time passes...  Cool

If you actually remember the year you registered on freebitco.in then you must be good at remembering things.
But is there a way to really find out when our freebitco.in account was created ?
I would like to find how old my account is.
I don't think it would be very old but I do remember that years ago I did had a freebitco.in whose email and password I forgot.
2730  Economy / Economics / Re: NFT and art theft on: December 20, 2021, 01:45:52 PM
Today I found an interesting post on /r/Cryptocurrency about an artist who had to shut down his online gallery, because people keep stealing his works and turning them into NFTs - here's the original post.

NFT technology is legitimately useless, all it does is creating a unique token on blockchain that has zero meaningful connection with the thing it's supposed to represent. When you NFT is an url that points to a centralized site, it's really no different than buying a star or moon land from some scam company.

The artist said that NFT hosting sites refused to cooperate and remove the stolen art, but even if they were doing their job, it would still mean that the whole system is centralized and pointless. Deluded NFT fans like to say that NFT gives people the ability to "truly" own something, but in reality NFT owners own absolutely nothing and are at mercy of NFT hosting sites.

NFTs were said to help support the artists, but here we see how they did the opposite and forced an artist to close their gallery and reducing their chances of selling their art or getting commissions. The artists who are profiting from NFTs the most are the big names like Grimes who are already rich.

I completely agree with you. The point of NFTs was to enable artists to sell their valuable art in a digitized format.
NFT was meant to be used as a token through which users can prove the ownership of an asset.
While all these goals are still being achieved the use of NFT has completely driven people to a money making long term scam.
Why I say it as a scam is because there's no point of holding these arts which has no meaning.
Literally hundreds of NFT projects keep launching everyday (all blockchains combines) and its just like the ICO hype according to me.
Many projects keep launching and will settle for dust in a year or two.
I might be going a little off topic but the point is that people are using NFT wrongly and they are just gonna lose money in the long term.
2731  Local / India / Re: India's crypto bill might not get discussed in the current winter session on: December 20, 2021, 01:28:59 PM
LOL  Grin Seems like they took "aaj kare so kal kar, kal kare so parso" too seriously. Jokes apart, it's not surprising to see this delay.
We have seen such postponing of judgements many times already. May be they are just postponing it to the next session but we never know if they would actually pass the bill or postpone it again.
This is why I keep on telling people that don't take the bill too seriously and wait until the official announcement from the government has been made.
It's crypto and speculations are done on a daily basis. If we start taking all the speculations seriously then we will lose all our money way too quickly.
2732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Data-driven or Emotional driven Bitcoin holder? on: December 19, 2021, 04:14:56 PM
Be a data-driven Bitcoin holder or an emotionally attached Bitcoin holder, these two terms have constantly played a big role in the bitcoin market and its future growth as they both have a strong stitch on Bitcoin.
What is data-driven?
I data-based information is information collected from past events and happening which are stored for future reference and usage.
What is Emotional driven?
Emotional driven is the attitude of getting emotionally attached to a situation be it presents or past happening.
Analysis
Both data and emotion play a similar role in our decision-making process most especially in a statically oriented asset such as Bitcoin quite a large number of Bitcoin investors/holders rely on data collected from past events to make the decision. But again a large number of bitcoin holders are carried away by emotions without any reference to past data but just on their feelings and experience. Data-driven will help to make an accurate prediction e.g when Bitcoin is on the correctional stage, going through past data will help you to know how the previous correction stage went so you have a guide, But emotional driven will force the holder to jump on the bandwagon and panic sale.
It is better to be a data-driven Bitcoin holder rather than being carried away by emotions.

It is not necessary that an emotion driven bitcoin holder only does a panic sell when such a negative scenario arises.
An emotional bitcoin holder can also hold strong in the dumps because he knows that bitcoin will always bounce back.
So his emotions are strong and that makes him hold strong until bitcoin price recovers. At least that is what happening to me.
I always believe that bitcoin price bounces back every time which is why I am holding strong.
So I guess it is good to be an emotional bitcoin holder after all.
2733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUDS started against Bitcoin as asusual on: December 19, 2021, 04:09:41 PM
Isn't it quite normal for these FUDs to occur when bitcoin starts gaining traction. Panic selling is what creates dump in the prices.
I would say it's actually good for such dumps to occur occasionally so that others could get an opportunity to buy at lower prices.
Eventually more number of buyers start buying and price goes back to higher levels.
Also, we don't need such FUDs to make educational posts on bitcoin, we should be doing it every now and then so that more number of people are aware of it.
2734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fundamental goal of bitcoin on: December 19, 2021, 03:51:13 PM
From the given options I would choose freedom to be the most appropriate one as per my perspective. Bitcoin provides us freedom on how to use "our" money.
One thing I would say is that it's goal is definitely not to replace traditional currencies but just to provide an alternative payment method.
It is a way of P2P payment method which does eliminate the need of a central bank. It gives us the power to own our money without needing someone else to hold it for us.

Got 1 TRX from the free spin again today and so I thought of going another round of converting 1 TRX to something huge.
Started the 1st best and lost 1 TRX  Grin I guess not everyday is a lucky day after all.
Or should I have used a different strategy this time ?  Shocked Huh

2737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Playing with dices on: December 19, 2021, 03:33:42 PM
I'm not a genious when it comes to math, but I'm using 150 dogecoin as "the bankroll" every day. Meaning if it does go bust I have to make up for it with some of my earnings vaulted.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this seems to be just another case of someone deluded into thinking they understand math and finding the secret formula for breaking any bookmaker.
All you'll get is to extend your illusion, because when the house edge the end result will always tend to ZERO, that's inevitable.
To profit from this the only way is... not to have resentment in betting your bankroll, risk high values and know how to stop when you win a big pot, otherwise everything will be returned to the house.

Exactly ! This strategy sounds too good to be true because OP says his strategy will never make any losses which can't be true.
It's obvious there can't be a strategy which guarantees to give out profits. Although there's no harm in trying out the bot but using it for long term would definitely be a bad idea.
2738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is better to invest your funds in if the alt season starts? on: December 18, 2021, 02:42:15 PM
There are so many promising altcoins out there which are worthy to invest in.
SOL, ETH, MATIC, BNB, FTM, SRM, AVAX, DOT are some of the really nice coins which I have my eye on.
If I had enough money I would buy these coins and keep doing DCA to accumulate more number of coins at a good price.
2739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Highest profitable altcoin for you in 2021 on: December 18, 2021, 02:22:11 PM
The highest profitable altcoin for me in 2021 is Solana. I got in and bought Solana in the mid year and kept buying and doing DCA.
I think I have got a nice average below $100. So I have more than 50% profit as of current price but it went to an ATH of $250 which is 150% profits.
I will keep holding this until next ATH. Overall for me ETH has been the most profitable coin till date. Holding it for over a year now.
2740  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can scammers steal money using smart contracts? on: December 18, 2021, 01:36:56 PM
For example, I accidentally open some scam site similar to Pancake and stake USDT/USDC there using a smart contract. Can scammers steal USDT, USDC and other tokens from my wallet? Can they use a contract which grants access to all my funds? If they can, how can I prevent stealing? Are there exist effective methods to test smart contracts?

On the other hand, what if scammers find exploit in some trusted smart contract which certified by Certik or organization like that? In that case can they steal only staked pairs or all money? How can I protect my wallet from scammers?

I use MetaMask as a hot wallet. This app is very popular and many scammers steal money from MetaMask. Sometimes they steal it without seed phrase, trojans, viruses etc. But users say that they sign some contracts and lose their funds.

Many thanks to all your answers, my crypto friends Smiley!

Yes you can lose funds if you visit some site which connects to your wallet. I have seen such scams on Phantom wallet where a scam site asks to connect to your wallet.
If you connect your wallet then you lose all your balance from the wallet. People don't generally verify the site and simply connect the wallet thinking that the site is genuine.
On the backend though, a code is executed which triggers the smart contract to be executed which transfers the funds from the victim's wallet to the scammers address.
