Agreed but only if it's developped with some kind of redistribution of wealth (I won't say the word socialism here, it would make the whole forum come crying) because otherwise only the people owning the robots will have anything.

Redistribution of wealth is the most basic ideal of Socialism. So if you are arguing in favor of the redistribution of wealth, then you are a socialist.

In my opinion, the robots must be under the ownership of the state. That will eliminate the possibility of wealth concentrating in the hands of a few individuals.

Communist  Grin

Right. What wealth? The robots shouldn't be owned. They do everything for everybody.

Does it make anybody a better person to own a thousand gallons of ice cream? What good is a thousand tons of gold to anyone? Who wants ice cream and gold when the robots can make it for you at any time. And what good is it? Nobody can eat a thousand gallons of ice cream, or a thousand tons of gold.

Do you like the color of gold? Put yourself in a gold plated room, and look at it for a hundred years. What good does it do you?

The wealth is in your life, your feelings, your health. The robots give you the joys that you want. That's the wealth.

I might sound terrible, but i have lived in a socialist dictatorship and have witnessed how a tyrant govt took advantage of disarmed people to control them

So I don't support gun control, but I do think not everyone can own a gun.

The decision as to who can own and carry a gun should be a local thing, based on the considerations of the people living in an area where the gun will be carried.

27223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trumpocalypse? on: December 28, 2016, 03:35:20 AM
Trump could sit in the Oval Office and do absolutely nothing for the next 4 years and would still be a better president than Obama. He has one terrible legacy, especially with destroying race relations and putting us back 50 years. However, the left will still praise him because he fought against the "oppressive old white men." Someone needs to tell them that the majority of those who completely rejected his ideas and voted Trump were voters representing extreme diversity and a very limited amount of those sneaky, old, "white privileged" people.

According to the leftist media propaganda, Trump won due to a polarization from the blue collar white votes (mostly male). But the media never mentions the fact that more blacks voted for Trump when compared to Romney in 2012. They also never mentions the fact that a majority of the white women voted for Trump, despite feminist propaganda from Hillary.

nah, russians hacked the election, don't you know?

The sad thing is that Hillary was going to much for the women and black votes and she still lost them, haha. All the things she did for them votes xD

And all the people her string-pullers had assassinated. I wonder how close they are to assassinating Hillary, herself.

Ok, lemme ask you one question that no one will answer me for some reason. Were you born in a country where christianity is the main religion or is your father/mother a devout christian?

The question is kinda irrelevant. Why? Because the atheism religion is strong enough that those who were brought up in atheism often maintain their religion just as those who were brought up in another religion. Unless a person does the studies himself/herself, any religion is based on what a person hears someone else express.

One of the strangest anomalies exists in the scientific community. The basis for all scientific investigation is cause and effect. A scientist sees something, wants to know the whys and hows of it, and looks to see what caused it. Cause and effect. The greater the scientist, the more he has looked into the cause and effect of things.

People and their intelligence exist. They are the effect of some or many causes. Whatever caused the greatness of life and intelligence and reasoning, must have had this in itself way ahead of time. Yet many scientists try to figure out ways to claim that everything was randomly done, when there essentially is no such thing as random, and when cause and effect is evidenced in billions of things all over the place.

This anomaly in science and scientists is one of the things that turns science, and particularly atheism, into a religion... but more, a cult.

So, you answer your own question about yourself and your atheism religion first. If your answer makes enough sense, someone might play the game of answering you about his religion.

Cool

What scientific investigation?

Thank you for prompting me to emphasize, so that everybody is clear about it... all.

Cool

The ones that you posted and share them as evidence? hahaha I'm still not clear about that, lemme see some links that are not from some christian "science" website....

You are asking me to let you do something? I don't have much of any control over your life. If something or someone is stopping you from researching or using your brain, it isn't me, not to my knowledge, anyway.

Well because i am catholic i am believing in god and i am believe in miracle because many things is already happen in my life that honestly every wish to god is happening to my life i just always pray that some of blessing from god that honestly its miracle in my life..

I don't quite understand that but as much as I did, you're a catholic and hence you believe in god and there were some occasions where you truly believed that god has listened to your prayers? Ok, here's a thing that you can try out next time you pray. First pray to your god to give you a new car or something else big something unreasonably big, now pray to a jar of pickles and ask for something small that can happen pretty quickly. Now jar of pickels have granted your prayers and god didnt, does that mean that jar of pickles has more power?

This kind of thing doesn't prove or disprove anything except that God is love. People get good things in life, simply because they wish for them, and God is good. However, there is great benefit to those who return love to God.

Because of the way that God set things up when He created the universe, the major change will come at the time of the resurrection and judgment. If a person is found to have asked for relief from God, God will then give it to him, just as He will give greatness and joy to all who had returned love to God in their past. But it will be an eternal thing... without change forever.

So, where will you be then? It will be your situation forever.

Cool

When was that?  The date please.

Probably nobody but God knows that date. But the date was probably less than 6,200 years ago.

Cool

Oh, I see.  So the OLD TJIKKO (living) tree from 9,500 years ago would be from another universe that was tele-transported by God to Earth, and survived the flood?

Are you sure you examined all scientific data?

So, somebody misdated the the tree, probably in part because w don't know the way tree rings formed on trees in the ancient past.

Jerry Eugene Pournelle (born August 7, 1933) is an American science fiction writer, essayist and journalist who contributed for many years to the computer magazine Byte. Pournelle was an intellectual protégé of Russell Kirk and Stefan T. Possony. Pournelle wrote numerous publications with Possony, including The Strategy of Technology (1970). The Strategy has been used as a textbook at the United States Military Academy (West Point), the United States Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs), the Air War College, and the National War College.

Pournelle worked in the aerospace industry includes time he worked at Boeing in the late-1950s. While there, he worked on Project Thor, conceiving of "hypervelocity rod bundles", also known as "rods from God". He edited Project 75, a 1964 study of 1975 defense requirements. He worked in operations research at The Aerospace Corporation, and North American Rockwell Space Division, and was founding President of the Pepperdine Research Institute. In 1989, Pournelle, Max Hunter, and retired Army Lieutenant General Daniel O. Graham made a presentation to then Vice President Dan Quayle promoting development of the DC-X rocket.

Carrie Fisher Dead at 60

TMZ broke the story ... Fisher was on a flight from London to LAX Friday when she suffered the heart attack 15 minutes before landing. People on the plane tell TMZ she appeared lifeless.

A passenger who's an EMT performed CPR on Carrie and once the flight landed, paramedics rushed her to UCLA Medical Center where she remained in intensive care until her death.

The family had said she was in "stable condition" but we're told she was not responsive after her medical emergency.

Carrie had been on a publicity tour for her new book, "The Princess Diarist." The book recently made headlines because she wrote about having an affair with co-star Harrison Ford while shooting the original 'Star Wars' movies.

Yes, think of how wonderful it would be to get more humidity. The Sahara could be opened up to homesteading. More heat would open the Northern Canada and Siberian lands to homesteading. All we need is a little more warmth on the planet, and we will have room for triple out population.

OF course, the lack of warmth in the hearts of our leaders towards each other, would still reduce the population through the wars they would continue to incite.

Canada is like the U.S. in basic law. If the girls require it, the "victim" accuser needs to show up in court, state under oath the harm done to him, and have evidence and witnesses that the girls were the ones who did it. The local jury will decide.

Now thestar.com wouldn't print fake news would they, I mean with the new propaganda laws and all? They wouldn't stoop to such levels and spin a story of some random hookers getting busted just to sell news papers or comply with a court order to print government bullshit about the Russians?

We have all seen all the articles and information about fake news that is coming out these days. One of the best ways to hide the fact of what is really going on, is to talk about everything else.

When you see a big push on some political scene, like flaring up of new war in the ME, or like climate change, of like a big focus on drugs, these are all being used to take our eyes off something that is way more important.

hahahahahahah way to go BADecker, way to go Cheesy this actually just made my day Cheesy

Yeah, clowns like BADlogic think they are super clever and untouchable. However, life experience has taught me that if you give them more rope, they get all twisted up and inevitably wraps around their neck and they hang themselves. Like BADlogic just did.  Of course, once they've done that, any credibility (if any) they once had vanishes and they just become the clown in the room, (or in this case the clown in the forum.)
The one everyone eggs on, just so they can point and laugh.

BADlogic works on the principle that if he posts 1 illogical BS post, it then take 10 logical posts to refute it. It takes expediently more effort to refute BS than it takes to post it.
Best to just sit back, grab some popcorn and let him hang himself thus refuting his own BS himself.
Much less effort involved.  Smiley

What low status? Where? Here there are plenty of women in the leading positions and super careers, stop talking like all countries are thrid world muslim countries. There is no more need for feminism in this world, not in the west tho.

Add to this the fact that a large number of the presidents and prime ministers around the world are female. A female (Hillary Clinton) was very close to becoming the most powerful person in the world.

And these feminists voted for her just because she is a woman and wanted to "break the glass ceiling." I wouldn't mind a woman president, but not one who is ridden and scandals with an utter lack of integrity.

I am not in favor of female leaders. From what I am seeing, these leaders lack the skills and vision. A perfect example is that of Angela Merkel in Germany. She has almost singlehandedly destroyed the European civilization.

It isn't really Merkel. Not all by herself, for sure. Watch this video to see what is going on.

Nobody has a clear enough understanding of thousands of years of climate to be able tell that the present, tiny shift isn't some cycle that has happened hundreds of times in the past.

The big issue that has been made out of climate change these days is of a political nature, to put fear in the minds of people, so that they bow to the wishes of their politician saviors... all to make the politicians rich.

Climate Scare Declared Officially Over - Error In Model Calculations Discovered

He says, "All the suggestions that we're facing some tipping point and suddenly we might see five or six, seven, eight, ten, twelve, thirteen Celsius of warming for a doubling of CO2, the kind of dramatic figures that have been appearing in some scientific papers, we can now prove that all of those very high end forecasts of how much warming we might get are based on an error in mathematics. Correct for the error and we are back down to a maximum of two, perhaps two and a half Celsius of warming for a doubling of CO2."
