27263  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: November 30, 2015, 08:11:37 PM
Suppose, I buy a pizza sell today @ 0.05BTC at the current rate and suppose the rate of BTC/USD rose to a much higher level than the current threshold (say, $650/BTC), then the cost price of that pizza I ate bitcoin I sold today would be much higher if I want to eat sell it tomorrow. This will result in people not buying any pizzas selling any bitcoin until the BTC price goes down.
You see where you go wrong? Guess you also haven't bought a computer or phone ever, since you get much more value for money next year...

27265  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitGold.com IS COMPLETELY SCAM on: November 23, 2015, 11:20:03 AM
I have just myself signed up to Bitgold, but i did a search for any scam, and found this forum, i be very careful know.
I am sorry to learn they closed your account, but you must admit that it was foolish and risky to try to exchange your bitgold with your own bank account. you should have exchanged them to bitcoins, far less risky possible transaction. because your bank account is used for other transactions, not a good idea to begin with.
Fixed that for you

27266  Economy / Scam Accusations / I did receive my prepaid GoldMoney Mastercard today :) on: November 21, 2015, 03:04:02 PM
Today I've received my (free) prepaid creditcard (Mastercard) from GoldMoney by post! I just wanted to confirm this here Smiley Requirement to qualify is to have at least 1 gram of gold in your account, I got this from referrals only.

For who hasn't joined yet: BitGold.com/r/DxUzFG (referral)

With referral link you get up to 0.250 gram Gold (EUR 8,15) when you use the referral. Without referral (bitgold.com) you won't get free gold.

Note that the amount varies per country: Asian countries get like 1 euro, European countries 8 euro, USA about 9 dollar I think.

The open-your-account-bonus takes 60 days to clear, and you need to log in during those 60 days to check your account (if not, the free gold will expire again).

I've opened this account a couple of months back, hoping they include Bitcoin withdrawals. So far they haven't, but creditcard is also a nice option!

My dream is to get 10 grams of gold shipped to my house, but to reach that I need dozens op referrals ... So it's up to you guys :p

I'd like to throw in a bonus for all confirmed referrals (after 60 days!): I will pay you 10 mBTC (0.01 bitcoin; 1 million satoshi) once I've received my 0.25 gram referral gold (so excluding the countries that have a lower referral). If you're a European/American/Canadian that should work. Bitgold shows me the email address of referrals, once the gold is confirmed I will email you a (printable) paper wallet containing the 10 millibitcoins. I'm not sure if I have enough Activity here to be trusted, but if you don't trust me, you'll still have the 0.25 grams gold Smiley

Note that a paper wallet should be spent at once, as change is likely to get lost...

Laszlo would have been a millionaire alone with the bitcoins he spent with buying pizza. I wonder if he regrets it at all.
Bitcoin was not developed out of a desire by a few to become millionaires
That doesn't change the fact it did happen, and it is used for a lot of speculation now...

Chat says: "10:58:03*** Notification
Faucet playground -> Unregistered user came in first and won 60 microBTC (0.00006000 BTC)!"
That was me! Logged in as "Loyce". But: I didn't get it... It seems the login server went down during the game, but I could still finish it. After the game I could not reconnect instantly.

For faucet it's okay, but I think this should be fixed, especially for a paid game it's no fun if you win and get nothing...

6000 mBTC (0.00006000)
6000 mBTC is 6.0000000 bitcoin, your units are a bit off ...

Just to clearify: are prizes cummulative?

Quote
Achieve level 2  = 2 mBTC cashback
Achieve level 3  = 5 mBTC cashback
Achieve level 4  = 15 mBTC cashback
Say someone reaches lvl 2, then 3, then 4... will he get 15 mBTC or 2+5+15=22?

No like you can see we added a function that feed someone with w is no more possible Smiley. Now they need to split to team and that makes it easy to kill also teams.
Teaming from my agar-experience: one person splits up to eat someone, then feeds his smallest ball into the team mate. This way you don't have to wait for merging, and can instantly split up again.
No names would makes teaming harder.

I got an email saying this:
Quote
Once a plan has been set, any gold payments you receive will be automatically redeemed to your selected Bank Account or Prepaid Card.*
Problem is... "We are very proud to announce that our Prepaid MasterCard program will officially launch in full within a couple of weeks. "
So there is no prepaid card available, making this whole email a bit useless...

I'm starting to think BitGold is much more honest than many perceive them to be.

I received my gold cube just fine!
How did you order it? Creditcard (=refund if they scam you), bitcoin (=no refund), referals (=nothing at all)? I can imagine this makes a difference IF they are not honest. I read of lot of claims about them with very little evidence...

Don't get me wrong: I'd love to have a gold-standard I can easily use and completely trust! The way money was created based on its gold value was way better than the fiat-money we have now.
I'd also love to order a gold cube using bitcoin, but things like "bitcoin withdraw coming soon" being the same "soon" for months don't inspire confidence.
27278  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitGold.com IS COMPLETELY SCAM on: October 24, 2015, 11:25:57 AM
well already know that bitgold is scam from when they do giveaway for signing up on their site and get free 15$ if im not mistaken, so you need to aware things that too good to be true

Yes it is scam because they give sign up bonus and gave a option to sell that gold to any one but when you try to withdraw then they will limit you saying all those gold from signup bonus and it is not allowed. What a scam right?
Melanie is this true?

However; we are currently experimenting with the percentage we take as a fee to figure out how to balance our costs
How about an optional buy-in for faucet to double the pay?
27280  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: October 17, 2015, 07:09:34 PM
I don't get the difference  Huh

Can you make an example calculation for old and new system?

Maybe it's this:

  * before: each food blob was worth a certain amount of satoshi, and so the number of food blobs in the play area was limited by the amount that people had bought in with. At the end of the game any remaining food blobs are divided equally between the players. Sometimes if there was a lot of uneaten food in the play area it was +EV to buy in with 1 second remaining, because your share of the uneaten food was more than the buy-in.

  * now: each food blob is only worth "points", which don't have a fixed BTC value, so the game can create them without constraint. At the end of the game the pot is divided between players in proportion to their mass, so there's always enough money in the pot to pay everyone. Uneaten food blobs aren't divided between players, so it's never +EV to buy in at the last second.

Am I close?
Thanks, this makes it clear.
