look at these ratios http://coinmarketcap.com/ gear mining btc 2,380,716,564 GH/s that is 183,000 s9's and that is 274,500,000 usd plus psu's cap is 14,582,607,308 usd so 18.82% gear mining eth 5976 gh that is 200,000 rx 480's and that is 42,000,000 usd cap is 631,622,906 usd so 6.65% gear mining zec 55 mh is 275,000 rx 480s say 57,750,000 usd cap is 15,392,931 usd so 375.17% So gear value to cap value ratios BTC 18.82% ETH 6.65% ZEC 375.17% DO THESE HAVE MEANING? if they do zec will soar in value or BTC and ETH will crash in value. LOOK AT THIS LIST: gpuAMD Which is probably the ONLY member of that list that mining has ever caused a measurable "sales blip" for. Keep in mind though - of every "AMD GPU" that is sold, AMD themselves likely realise at most 20% and more likely 10-15% of the final retail sale price on. It would take MANY tens of milliions in "additional sales" to miners to pay AMD back for a $10 million price intervention like like has been suggested. Keep in mind that the very very limited number of chip making facilities that CAN make the GPUs for the current generation cards have been BACKLOGGED the entire time they've had any production at all, which puts a severe limit on how many "additional" cards IF ANY are capable of being sold. Some folks wonder why BitMain keeps "selling out" so often on the various S9 batches. I am 100% CERTAIN the reason is that they can't get the CHIPS on a reliable basis to keep up with demand for the SAME REASON. If ZEC had gone live 2 years ago, or 1-2 years from now, it might make SOME sense for AMD to pump the market - right now, it makes pretty much zero sense. exactly which is why the pumps are not 10 million when they come. You realize the pump that just past had 2,000,000 usd in action on pump day. if you have 4 accounts on a major exchange and use: a to sell to b to sell to c to sell to d to sell to a to sell to b to sell to c to sell to d and boom a pump at a lower cost then 2,000,000 This will not end for quite a while. Why is that simple the market cap is low and it is cheap to do so.

What did I do wrong ? : no of mining ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ZecMiner64.exe -zpool SSL: //zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6633 -zwal t1RGQ4QhSqMMDNF8RaZRm5AHvrP7zyFZD6v.1 -zpsw r -i 8 Thanks ZecMiner64.exe -zpool SSL:(YOU HAVE SPACE HERE)//zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6633 -zwal t1RGQ4QhSqMMDNF8RaZRm5AHvrP7zyFZD6v.1 -zpsw r -i 8 so my question is why do I want SSL? my stock amd rx 480's has 235 s/h. How can i overclock them for better perfomance? i have tried 1300core and 2100 mem clock speed, but they starts to hash even lower~206 s/h. Pls give me an advise how can i solve this problem.ty.
that is a decent number. the only way to do better is a bios flash and if you never did bios flashing be careful as you can brick the cards.

To answer why I spent a shit ton of cash on dvi.
I have found that going the route of dvi switching bypasses the dreaded black screen and the eth 4mhs bug. Better then vga or hdmi I also have some
display to dvi cables hdmi to dvi cables dvi to dvi cables
It really costs far to much to justify as a practical solution. Team viewer is more cost effective
But I am a gear freak.
Right now I have 12 rigs in house.
I plan for the garage to have 8 rigs not 10
They will be 7 biostar 4 card and 1 evga 4 card the eight port switcher will be ideal.
3 rigs will go to the solar array
1 rig will be in my den a 1 card rig as I had the pc already
Hey zec dropped just a bit so stay on it and wait for the rx 490 pump. hold coins if you can.

Trying to get 6 X Sapphire RX480 going on H81 MB, tried win10 and win7. After driver install and after reboot, fails to post. Nada, black screen sometime or BSOD. Even with just one card plugged in on a power riser. Only if I unplug the card will it boot into OS. Thought it was my MB, but I see many 480's running on these boards. I even ordered the H97 Anniversary, thinking its my MB, has not come in yet but Any suggestions?
That's really strange. I have 4 RX 480's (just added a 5th) on the H81 board with 4gb cheapo ram and a G1820 CPU on Windows 10. Runs pretty well. What's your PSU? I'm using a Rosewill Photon 1050, which certainly is nowhere near the best, but it's been running good for quite a while now. I'm using 16.11.5 driver on all my rigs at the moment and they're running just right. However, I did install other drivers on one of my rigs at some point and if I remember correctly, I had similar issues to what you're talking about. Well, not failing to post, but I was getting crazy BSOD's to the point that I could not login and needed to reinstall Win 10. But Windows 10 will put you at like 16.6 and I just install 16.11.5 and I'm up and running. I wish I had more info to give, but that's been my process and it's been alright so far. At the end of the day, it could be your board. You wouldn't be the first person with a bad H81 board. Just read around. This was a very old post you replied to. Most, info, here is out,of,date. I am locking thread.

8 port dvi/USB/kvm switch
All seriousness I did get an 8 port switch. Cost me good money but I have an idea for using it beyond mining. And I am going to have six four card biostar Msi rigs.
Please can you post a link to it, you've gotten me curious! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) it is costly http://www.provantage.com/startech-sv831dviu~7STR9244.htm

I sent Bitmain Warranty an s9 hash board that was still under warranty but they charged me $200. You have to send to Hong Kong to get warranty work covered.
Yeah but shipping to Hong Kong costs 115. And you have to claim the board is worth under 45 dollars. So,if,board,is,lost or damaged oh well. And turnaround is 3 weeks. You are correct that bitmainwarranty charges on case by case basis on boards that China may cover. My best advice is figure at least 10-15 % in down time on your s9s And either warranty option is not really good.

... some Miners with low E-Prices might still be in ROI, but I do not think, all of the 8732.3171 kSol/s running at nicehash 4 BTC are really °°°. Looks like a big bubble. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) PanneKopp P.S. some "Mining-Rig-Investors" will cry why do you see a bubble and I see an opportunity? market cap of 15 million makes pump cheap . and the list of companies above that stand to make a lot more sales if this coin sticks around is a long list of big money companies. You do realize that a 10 million usd pump put in by AMD would jack coin price from .052 to .111 easy and if 2 or 3 of the companies above all decide to do a pump coin can go to 0.3 or 0.5 no problem. Look for a big pump when AMD releases the rx 490 and rx 490x

Phil, How many of your failures were outside of the warranty window? Are most failures appearing relatively soon so you are covered by the warranty?
okay first five units All ordered in june ----- 1 dead board on day 80 sixth unit ordered in august ---------------- 2 dead boards and 1 dead controller all in under 2 weeks seventh unit ordered in NOV ----- auto tune still working. I did everyone with bitmain warranty so I paid shipping NJ USA to Colorado, USA My repairs were all free . My costs were shipping 15 to them 25 back to me so 4 x 40 = 160 I purchased some fans and 2 spare old firmware boards which are no longer available cost about 300 So 460-500 spent for repairs maintenance and spare parts. against 7 units of s9. Down time say 1 full month of 1 s9 which is around 250 in coin so lets say 750 lost for 7 s9's I won't count the 25-30 extra trips from my house to the solar array 6 mile round trip

I got a quick response this time, 30 day warranty on the hash board so I am shipping back today. We shall see how long it takes to get it back.
I also have an R4 that only hashes on one board and not sure if I should send it to Hong Kong or Denver for repair.
I am currently at 19% failure rate on s9
Yeah I am 1/7 that is 14.2% in reality 3 of 21 boards 1 of 7 controllers or 4 or 28 parts or 1 of 7 which is 14.2%

While we're talking about PSU's: does anyone have a way to pull data from their PSU's? I know Corsair Link is one PSU that can do that .. Do any others? I'm trying to find a way to monitor lots of power going to individual rigs on a large scale. Maybe thermaltake? Go to www.jonnyguru.com. He has info on over 300 psus

Thanks, Regarding connection problem : considering it was working before shuting it down and didn't work after shuting it down. I thing this is not the issue. You're not putting the PSU under any load at all when just connecting green to ground. It needs to have some load to test it properly as most psus would be fine at idle but only show problems when being used. Swap it out onto something else if you can and see if the problems follow the psu.
this is a good method. also remember that lepa psu is a multi rail like 4 or 5 rails and if you really want to shut down a rig flip the power switch on the psu or pull the psu power cord.
