There are a lot of people talking shit about Virat Kohli at this time. But we have to realize that this is just a phase and Virat Kohli will have to do his part to overcome it. Yes, he is a tiny bit more arrogant and egoistic. But perhaps it's just his nature and we honestly cannot do anything about it. Now the only thing which Virat Kohli should think about is how to improve his cricket and stay out of politics. That is obviously going to be difficult because his wife is a big Bollywood star.

So attention comes his way even though he does not want it. It will be extremely difficult for Virat Kohli to improve and also stay away from the life of fame. However, he will have to do that for his own sake. If he does not get selected for the T20 World Cup then it is going to be a blessing in disguise in my opinion. That will give him time to reflect on himself and probably make him a lot more humble.

The last time he played well was in 2019, we are in 2022 and I do not think this is just a phase. The problem with him is that he is least bothered to do his part to overcome his poor performance. Apart from being focused on cricket, he has been everywhere and he also thinks of himself as someone who will not get dropped from the national team. BCCI will give him ample opportunity and I am sure they will closely monitor his performance in the upcoming Asia Cup. If he does well then he will surely be part of the Indian squad for the T20WC.

India VS West Indies

India made a comfortable win with the batting from Surya Kumar at the right time. Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion getting hurt, and this gave a thought of India struggling with the start. Further Shreyas, Surya Kumar, Rishabh Pant made a good contribution and made the team win the match at the 19th over losing 3 wickets. This have made India lead the series 2-1

After Kyle Mayers dismissal WI was struggling to get runs. If he had been there then they would have quickly passed 200 runs mark. 164 runs is not at all a competitive score considering the kind of batting depth that India has in this tournament. Surya Kumar Yadav's contribution led to this win. Another win by the Indian side and they will win this series.

The problem is, in India any successful cricketer is a very big public figure. Obviously, Virat Kohli is one of the biggest stars in cricket in the whole world. So he is obviously also a star in India. It is also interesting to notice that people not only in India but also on the foreign subcontinent talk a lot negatively about star players when they do not perform up to expectations. Virat Kohli has made it harder on himself by concentrating on Bollywood and politics. The only thing I can hope for is that he will be able to perform better. But he will have to work really hard for that. Sincerely, he needs to come out of the world he is currently in.
At one point Kohli was compared with Sachin Tendulkar. He himself has confessed that if anyone who can break all his records is Kohli. He also went through the same rough patch in his career as a cricketer. He is to date considered as God of cricket but he was never arrogant and crazy for fame. There are a lot of cricket fans in India like me who hate Kholi for his fasad off and on the field. I do not think he deserve any respect but he is again a one of the only kind who has a lot of connections. I don't want this guy to get selected for the Asia Cup, as after 2019 his performance has gone down but his attitude on field has not. I am sure that he will get selected but if he doesn't perform well in this cup then he will face the wrath and might get permanently dropped.

There are plenty of resources on the internet for anyone to under or spread awareness about Bitcoin. I still feel arranging such meets won't help. Our government is still not clear with what it will do about crypto. They have already implemented a heft tax on it and few days back the RBI governor had recommended to the government a complete ban on Bitcoin. With such uncertainty it is better to stay where you are and avoid such meet ups.
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will the next Bull run look like? on: August 01, 2022, 11:09:55 AM
One of the simplest rule of investment in crypto market is that never invest when the market is going up or going down. The right time to invest is when the market is moving sideways, which is happening now. When will the Bull market returns cannot be told or predicted so have patience and stay in the market. When the next bull run comes Inam sure Bitcoin will create a new ATH and other cryptocurrency will too.

There are two points in this post that I do not agree with you. The good old days are ICO already over and all goods projects get funded by Private Investors nowadays. It is very hard to find any good project. The best place to determine the kind of projects that are coming up can be checked on the Bounty Board.

Use Cases

I only look for projects that have use cases in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. I have seen many real word projects either dying out or being unable to sustain for the long term.

Non Repeated

There are several successful projects which are nothing but an upgraded version of an existing project. They have been very successful. It all depends on how effective a project is and whether is it able to solve the pain area.

The West Indies batsmen have performed badly in the last match. unless they improve, they will lose today's match as well. West Indies were defeated by 68 runs. Even the pitch was not bowling-friendly. So if West Indies want to win today's match then their batsmen must play well. If the batsmen perform badly, it is not possible to win the match.

It was 41 runs knock from Dinesh Karthik at very part of innings that helped India giving target of 191 runs and that's why they won the game because of such a huge target. In reply its all disappointing from WI, as none of there batsmen able to score more then 20 runs.
Dinesh Karthik and Rohit Sharma's contribution led to the score of 190 runs. The Indian bowling was absolutely spot on. Arshdeep Singh gave only 24 runs and took 2 wickets. Another factor why WI were struggling is because of the brilliant spin attack by Ashwin and Bishnoi. They both also took 2 wickets each.
2748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most trusted stable coin currently (in your opinion)? on: August 01, 2022, 05:44:25 AM
I am not sure what you meant by trusted stablecoin? The top three on your list are controlled by a centralized exchange. Then how can you gain trust? There have been several articles and discussion in the past that stablecoin can be easily frozen and controlled by those centralized exchanges. For trading and payment purposes they do come handy but not for holding.

He should come out of the world of politics and Bollywood. And should focus on improving his cricketing skills. I only think that this is going to be better for his career. In my opinion, they are doing Virat Kohli a favor.
Well said. So many great cricketers messed up their careers by dabbling with politics and movies for the sake of fame and money(Imran Khan etc).

Kohli clearly couldn't handle the pressure as the captain of the Indian team across all formats which ultimately affected his batting skills too. This is why I do agree with what you said about them doing him a favor by giving him a break.
I think he should retire from one format, just like Ben Stokes. He can then concentrate on his performance on the other format. The other option would be to take a big break from all forms of cricket and then make a comeback. Getting humiliated like this from everyone won't help him at all. BCCI has already started giving him breaks and if he doesn't improve his performance then he might get permanently dropped.

After disappointing performance by England in the T20 series with South Africa I hope they win the test series which will start from 17th August. South Africa already tops the point table for the test world cup. England is ranking 7th and if they want to improve their ranking they need to win all the three test matches.

India VS Westindies
The second T20 match will be played today. India has already won comfortably the first match and they might win the second one too. Rohit Sharma's batted very well in the first match and I hope he repeats it in the second match to. Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets and gave just 24 runs, probably he might do the same today. Overall I have a feeling that India might win this series comfortably.

BCCI has announced their ODI team for Zimbabwe tour. They are again going with 2nd string team and keep testing their bench strength.

Kohli, Bumrah and Shami are taking long break. Rishab, Rohit and Chahal (wasn't necessary) are also rested. KL Rahul still not fit i suppose.

Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and Deepak Chahar are finally back. Maiden call for Rahul Tripathi in the squad.

Zimbabwe is not that strong team and this series will be a one sided one. Two spinner and one medium pacers added to the squad, spinners can be effective as Zimbabwe doesn't have batters who are good against spinners. Good to know that Rahul Tripathi got a chance. India needs good all-rounder and his performance in this series might get him a permanent berth in the India A team.

Did any of you came across the bomb blast into the cricket ground in Afghanistan during an regional T20 league. It is very bad and Afghanistan cricket is truly facing much difficulties. Amidst all this they're slowly making progress and the governments should assure with peaceful living conditions. One of the terrorist organisation have mentioned that they're the one to conduct the bomb blast. During this blast four audience have got injured.
Government?
Afghanistan is currently being ruled by a globally known terrorist organisation. I am not surprised that such a bombing incident has occurred. Such incidents have become quite common in that country. How still cricket is surving in that nation is quite surprising for me? Those who died in that incident were innocent people who just wanted to let spend some quality time by watching cricket match. Targeting a cricket stadium doesn't make any sense.
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 30, 2022, 01:15:28 PM

Virat Kohli must feel like he is downgrading himself if he plays for domestic seasons right now. I think the main reason why he is not willing to do that is because of his ego. He has not performed well for a long time and we know even before his marriage they had a lot of drama simmering on between themselves. And that has also had some impact on his professional career but obviously, that was not worth much notice. But right now Virat Kohli seems to be so busy with his personal life that he doesn't seem to be giving enough time to his professional career. And this is the result of that.
In our culture it is said that marriage has a big impact on the life of man. It either makes his king or steals all the wealth.
So it does matter. However it is not personal but someone observed it - I think there is evil eye too. Nazar lag gaee - Kholi ko
Those believe do not work in 2022 when the whole world has seen so much suffering due to COVID 19. Kholi has achieved so much in such a small amount of time that know one can. I feel he thought he was invincible and that might have lead to his downfall. Sachin Tendulkar went through the same rough patch but he worked on it and  became a legend. Kohli lacks such attitude and this might be the reason why he is not able to perform after getting so many opportunities.

You forgot about Sunil Narine who is easily one of the best spinners and all-rounders these days. I primarily like the fact that he is always calm and stable no matter what.

Oh.. I didn't forgot about him. The fact is that he is not interested in playing for the national team. Sunil Narine last played test cricket for West Indies almost a decade ago. His last ODI match for West Indies was in 2016. Right now he is playing county cricket for Surrey in England. If a player is not available, how can we count him as a part of the team? The same with players such as Pollard, Russell and Bravo as well. If these players were available for the series, then who knows. The outcome would have been different.
Sunil Narine was a good all rounder in his early days. At the moment he is another cricket veteran who plays county cricket and league cricket to make his end meet. There was time when batters would hesitate to attack him as a bowler and bowlers would try to avoid those lose balls. He made his name at a very early stage but now he is just no one in my opinion. He is already 34 and is not that fit anymore considering other players of the same age. He was selected by KKR in 2012 and is still in the team. I some how believe that his days as a cricket player are outnumbered.

In an interesting match between Barbados women and Pakistan women,  Barbados won the match by 15 runs that's an upset since Pakistan is permanent playing cricket team. While it's good for team like Barbados, they have the potential to win the game against big teams.

For me it is not much of a surprise. In women's cricket, I don't consider Pakistan as one of the stronger teams. And West Indies do have a decent women's team. Barbados represents West Indies in this tournament and I thought that they had the advantage in this match. Pakistan team do have some super-stars such as Diana Baig and Bismah Maroof, but overall the team is quite weak. In the second match, Australia won against the India women's team and that was also expected. Australia is probably the no.1 team in women's cricket right now.
As Pakistan have a strong men cricket team there is expectation over the Pakistan Women's team. As Barbados team is not much a familiar team, everyone could've thought of Pakistan Women's to win the match. As said Pakistan Women's team is not much a strong team. In the second match India losing to Australia too not a surprise. Even if India have scored 180+ runs, Australia would've chased it.
I doubt Pakistan has a strong mens cricket team. They are completely dependent on a few players. For example except Babar Azam most of the other batters are not at all reliable. Shaheen Afridi is the only bowler who has been getting wickets in every game he plays also the spinners are ineffective. In my opinion Pakistan is not a strong team in any format. They are know as an inconsistent team.
2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 29, 2022, 12:04:42 PM
I think India has been able to revive their old cricket where they are all the best.
I don't think so. They only won the last match convincingly while they won the first two matches by slim margins primarily due to luck siding with them. West Indies could have actually won the series(2-1) if luck sided with them if you think about it.

They need to work a lot harder to improve their game(Especially their bowling department) in order to consistently win matches against all teams across the world.

Absolutely WI could have easily won 2 ODI's but they did not because they lack that kind of experience as the team is completely brand new. Another reason was that India has a good batting depth. Players like Axar Patel can come in handy when they are needed and at the same time, Indian bowlers have started showing a lot of improvement and discipline. In my opinion, this WI side needs to work on both batting and bowling and in no time they will become competetive.

India VS WestIndies

The first T20 match will be played today. 5 matches will be played and I expect these matches to be close as ODIs were. WI has already lost all three ODI on their home ground and I am sure they will try to win the T20 series against India. Looking at the present form and performance of the Indian side I do not think it will be easy for the WI team.
2760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 29, 2022, 11:52:13 AM
There was a time when Pakistan was known for its bowlers, especially spinners like Abdul Qadir, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Saeed Ajmal. Why are they not able to produce such legends now? Just check the bowling stats of Pakistan spinners in the test match against Srilanka they were not at all effective and consistent. Yasir Shah took 5 wickets in the first and 4 in the second test match. In contrast, the Srilankan spin line was spot on both test matches.
