It was not right for Virat Kohli to do that. He never fixed the way he became housebound In fact, this is the first time I have seen a good player go down so easily.A field shaking player like him is very prestigious for a country.All the work he has done is not at all popular with people.But it is not right for his party to do so.It was his duty to keep Virat Kohli with his team and take the team forward.

Three years is enough for any player from here now surely he dropped from team and bringing some other talented youngster is also very important for selectors if they want to be positive for future.

If he is that busy with his personal life, then he should take some time off and stay with his family, right? If he thinks that playing domestic cricket will result in a downgrade, then I can't help. Legendary players such as Sachin Tendulkar and Steve Smith have played domestic cricket frequently despite their national commitments. Anyway, no one will force Virat to play domestic matches. If he don't want to play, then he don't need to. The decision by BCCI to allow family members to travel with the national team squad for overseas tours need to be revised. I guess that is causing a lot of issues and resulting in lack of focus.

I agree that he should take a break otherwise, I don’t think he will be able to play better any time soon. I really hate to comment on anyone's personal problems. Right now, personal issues are likely the only explanation for Virat Kohli's poor performance. He knew that when he married the Bollywood star, he was entering a life of glamour. But I don’t think he’s going to be able to handle that. Because his professional life is having a lot of negative effects.

@Sithara007 I’m waiting to see will Rohit and Dravid take the bold call of dropping Kohli, because if he’s choosing to avoid domestic cricket to get better then he should definitely be dropped. Furthermore dropping him temporarily could be the key to remind him why he needs to perform, and maybe then he’ll start performing again but if he yet fails then the selectors will have to consider about permanently dropping him.

At this point, there is no debate about this. Virat Kohli must be dropped for both the sake of him and the Indian team. Otherwise, nothing is going to be pleasant from this point on. I really hope that Virat Kohli also understands that. And at this point, I don’t think it’s about what Virat Kohli thinks. It should be about what is right for the Indian team.

And still these shameless people say that they are trying to get cricket included in the 2028 Games. Even for the Commonwealth Games, they managed to elbow the organizers to cancel the men's event, and to reduce the women's event to just 8 teams. I am glad that the Asian Games organizers told the ICC to GTFO and decided to continue with both men's and women's tournament for cricket.

This is absolutely unbelievable. They are still trying to make us think that cricket will be included in the 2020 Olympics. But obviously, people are not stupid. ICC has never said anything like that and we all know that is not going to happen. In fact, they are trying to get rid of this debate. And if cricket is included in the Olympics it is not going to be very favorable for the big four teams. That is why they do not promote cricket as an Olympic game at all. ICC is no more sportsmanship prioritised, it is much into money. Whether it is the nation's cricket boards or the ICC, everywhere power is held by persons who have influence over the government as well as money. Even the players who are in the leader role on the board doesn't do anything good to the cricket. First of all there needs to equality as the New Zealand cricket paying similar salary to men and women cricketers.

These big 4 are playing smartly they know there supremacy is only as long as there are small countries like Pakistan, west indies,  Srilanka and south Africa under them. Its best in interest of big 4 that big countries like USA, Russia and China don't join the cricket.

The big4 doesn't want more teams. If more members are allowed to vote, then it gets harder for them to push through their proposals. Even now, after the recent changes, the pig-4 only controls 6-7 votes out of a total of 16. They need a minimum of 2 votes from the other boards to get their proposals approved. But they are still able to do that, and the best example is the election of Greg Barclay. The other candidate (Imran Khwaja) had initial advantage, but pig-4 managed to secure additional votes from other boards to secure the election of Barclay.

BTW, I am quite excited about the elections this time. Greg Barclay will be taking on Sourav Ganguly, although the latter is yet to confirm his participation.

They are not just running behind the money, Showing their sympathy towards big countries and the stiffness towards the small country has become known as a major evidence of corruption. Those believe do not work in 2022 when the whole world has seen so much suffering due to COVID 19. Kholi has achieved so much in such a small amount of time that know one can. I feel he thought he was invincible and that might have lead to his downfall. Sachin Tendulkar went through the same rough patch but he worked on it and  became a legend. I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. As long as India contributes to 60% of the overall revenues, BCCI will have a dominant role in the ICC. Now the other opportunists have also ganged up with BCCI (ECB, CA and NZC), and this makes it very hard for the smaller boards to get their voices heard. The only way forward is to give more countries voting rights, so that the influence of BCCI can be diluted. But the opposite is happening now. Nowadays, most of the associate boards are dominated by expats from India and they always side with the BCCI.

When India won the 1983 World Cup, BCCI did not get tickets to watch the final match and with the help of the then government and the sponsorship of Ambani, India along with Pakistan was able to bring the World Cup out of England in 1987, if not England and Australia dominated Cricket and they never bothered about other countries. BCCI especially Salve who was the BCCI president then was determined to take the power of the ICC away from England and they have done that because they were humiliated by the ICC in rejecting two tickets requested by the BCCI to watch the 1983 Finals.
So anyone crying about the powers in Cricket, check out the history and then cry about it  .

When Sri Lanka won the 1996 World Cup majority of the players were sponsored by Arjuna Ranatunga who i consider as one the greatest captains in World Cricket and ICC did not shower them money, from minnows to World Champions were their sole hard work and many of the players during that period was staying with Arjuna Ranatunga because they did not have a place to stay nor the money. So to cry about other nations are not developing Cricket because ICC is not helping is just bullshit. The board has to take the initiatives to find talents or you need a captain that could take that role to develop the quality of players and you cannot expect anyone to bring everything in a golden platter.
