2741  Economy / Reputation / Re: The most influential people of the forum. Who are they? on: August 13, 2022, 07:54:51 AM
If we start from the very meaning of the word "influence", this suggests that a person can influence someone with his decision. Isn't it? But the forum was conceived as democratic, where every person has the right to vote. Is it worth talking about influence here if DT members misuse their tags? I think no. This is not an influence; it is an indicator of how fair this person is and whether they know how to make decisions correctly or not. Probably, to have any kind of power, a person must always have a cool head. Quick and thoughtless things that can be mistaken for influence are nothing more than emotions that make their master a slave.

In another sense, those people will be influential to me who have gained respect for their correct actions, from whom you can take an example. And also for their knowledge that influences people to become better.

By asking questions like this to the OP, it's possible to conclude that you don't know much about investing. I'll ask you a counter-question. Why did your trust fall on alternative coins, and not on Bitcoin? I know that someone who trades for a long time gains experience and can benefit from trading with tokens, but why has bitcoin been left out of your attention? After all, this is the only coin that lives for a very long time, and with due patience, it is always restored.
2743  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you had to move from your nation to another nation, which would you choose? on: August 13, 2022, 07:19:26 AM
I can say otherwise. If I have bitcoins and my country is not very friendly to them, but I have a sufficient amount of bitcoins, I will certainly prefer those countries where they will not build barriers for me to own them. As for America, I will not go there, even if they offer me all the conditions for a good life in this country.

Your example does not fit because the unbanned user used the matched element much earlier than the banned one. It should be the other way around. You, of all people, should know this. Plus, yudi09's post was deleted. Your post is appropriate for a topic about alts.

Yes, I already understood. Sorry. This account is very strange, there were several breaks in publications, most likely he changed several hands.
But I agree that it is wrong. Was inattentive.

This one has already been reported before by Issa56 here.
You can use the search function or ninjastic.space to find old reports so that they are not duplicated. When you find a member who still has not been kicked out, but was reported before, you can use that information to report to the moderators in case they missed it.

Stalker22, I also made two requests to ban users. For example, if we see that a previously submitted report has not yet been processed, I see no problem asking the moderators to check again. You can say I did it on purpose, because what is the point of searching if cheaters remain on the forum?

Plus, I would like to invite everyone who submits reports here to check and supplement their reports in case of a ban. It sort of completes the work you've done.

2746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 truths about bitcoin, in my opinion? on: August 11, 2022, 12:12:17 PM
For bitcoin to make people rich, people have to invest a lot of money in it. And only rich people can do that. Thus, the formula where the rich get richer works. Of course, the controversial question is who and how much is considered wealth.
In order for bitcoin to save the world, it must first be accepted, but for now, its acceptance cannot be universal.
The whole list of "truths", OP, should have been more fully explained from your point of view, and probably many would have accepted your point of view, but for now, the phrases are only taken out of the context of general conclusions.

This seems pretty exciting! The first THORchain fork (probably of many coming in the future)

Maya is the second multi-chain dex in the market besides THORchain, and it basically is a CosmosSDK-powered replicated state machine to coordinate asset movement, including processing swaps, stakes, and more without the need to peg assets. Just like THORchain!!

The biggest thing for me right now is the incentive pendulum they mention in their docs, which apparently makes it so liquidity pools are automatically balanced (No impermanent loss??). They give a few reasons as to why THORchain shouldn’t be the only cross-chain DEX, these are some of them:
No competition = no collaboration.

Two minds are better than one.

There is no way THORchain can grow fast enough to capture the whole market. TPS limits.

All this seems pretty interesting, also it’s worth noting Maya is only the second of it’s kind, and could be an early investing opportunity for us Degens.

You're a bit harsh and uncharitable with your comment there. You don't need to tag someone's effort to make a didactic difference "useless". Yes, the effort may not be accurate or what it should be but you didn't have to put the poster down by that comment of yours. Please, let's be guarded.

It's nice, smart, and polite. And, as always, without offending anyone. Smiley

OP,  just a tip. You will be told the same thing from post to post, that everyone is afraid of other people's links and so on. I will not repeat myself. We all sit on the Internet, where there is information for every taste, and if people don’t like your topic, just close it.

Live yours like there's no tomorrow.

No, not proportionate advice. It's like saying "opportunity doesn't come twice" but it's a terrible fact that some people fall into fraudulent investment schemes with high profit opportunities because scammers generally use those words. In order to produce great achievements, one should not limit oneself to short deadlines and only have a strategic plan.

I agree. This advice is akin to negligence, and keeping anything at all is out of the question. Divergence of logic. Grin

A very depressing post. OP, did you set a yearly profit target with bitcoin and some other shitcoins? I do not believe in the long-term holding of alternative coins, from the word "absolutely".

Also, how did you calculate that bitcoin would grow monthly and, thus, in a mathematical progression, you would make a profit?

I agree with The Cryptovator, until you see the profit you want, hold on. If you are limited in material possibilities, do not invest how much, on what your life depends on. But the fact that you will win over time remains undeniable, just in today's perspective, no one can say the exact date.

If you are sure that your accusation is valid, you can also report a scammer on this forum. There is a Scam Accusations section. By doing this, you not only warn the team but also other users to beware of this scammer and the ways in which he cheats.

There is a very good topic on this issue, but newcomers who come here to "earn money" are in a hurry. How many times has this been suggested? They are reading?

[Guide] Searching effectively

The same goes for plagiarism. Someone considers everyone so naive that by copying the text and passing it off as their own, they expect to receive some merit.

I was once surprised at how often topics with the same content and meaning appear in this section. And this shows that once a month we retell the same thing.

Yesterday I sent a report to repeat the topic, but it remained unprocessed. Why? All this has already happened, and the same people repeat the same words. Sad

I have not used Windows for a long time, but while working on Windows 7, I once recovered deleted files using one of the programs that can do this.

And today I got into the search and in the reviews, I found a program that can recover all deleted files. Nowhere is it mentioned that the computer should not be turned off after losing files. The program is called FoneLab Data Retriever. I think the OP can find and try it.

Also, in our city, there are points where experienced people can recover files even if the disk has been formatted. I know that the OP does not need to contact such offices. We are talking about something else. Even if such files are restored, then there is still the possibility of recovery.

as well as:

Quote
Here are the steps to restore the unsaved files or recover deleted text files through temp files and asd files.

Step 1Go to Start on your computer.

Step 2Type %AppData% in the Search for files or folders named box.

Step 3Click Enter to direct to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming.

Step 4Type your lost text document or .asd or .tmp at the right search bar.

Step 5Find the file you want based on the modified date and copy the file to the desktop.

Step 6Change the filename extension from .asd or .tmp to .txt.

2753  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitepaper still a thing? on: August 10, 2022, 12:54:05 PM
The whitepaper usually represents the face of the project. You should receive all the information on the idea and further use of the project. Good projects produce a fairly informative document, and in addition, they have a team that you can ask for all the subtleties that you do not understand. But what happens in most cases? A whitepaper is created, consisting of one or two pages, in which usually there is nothing significant, but simply in order to supposedly have this document. And another important factor is that the documents are simply copied. This already signals the upcoming scam.

But we should not deceive ourselves with the presence of all the points by which we usually assume that the project is legal. Some do not spare money either on advertising or on creating a colorful white document. However, in the end, the projects turn out to be scams.

As you know, cryptocurrency is a very risky business, and those who are more skeptical prefer to invest in bitcoin.
2754  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happens if someone mistakenly tags you a negative trust and dies? on: August 10, 2022, 11:49:22 AM

This post made me think that in that case, we should share our password for bitcointalk, email, and maybe Facebook/Twitter/Instagram too to someone we can trust  Huh Maybe to the same person, we think can take care of our private keys   Huh

Do you really think this is a problem?

Let's assume that a person left a negative tag. I don't think it was a mistake. Nonetheless, And he himself died. Clap and it's gone.

And this man obliged his relatives, who did not understand the life of the forum, so that after his death, what would they do? It was explained to everyone what happened to the deceased? And that he still has a sin in the form of an incorrect tag? And they urgently need to sort things out?

Is it possible to continue the fantasy?

It seems to me that this is madness that is simply not worth discussing.

Died and died. All. Point. We drove. The one who stayed with the tag definitely should not die from this. Shocked
2755  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this included in the account connection? on: August 10, 2022, 11:24:23 AM
Am surprising seeing my name been tagged with another another account thefreethinker. thefreethinker mistaken used my wallet for proof of authentication when he wanted to register for ego bounty campaign and the wallet address was changed on the Spreadsheet. If you check the spreadsheet I submited proof of authentication first. I will advise you dig more better maybe you will find more evidence to proof that thefreethinker is owned by me. Thank.
@Xiaomie A1 I noticed you have never made any post in reputation board before, this is your first post or maybe your alt account have been tagged by me then you decided to fight back. But am sure other members that will be making judgment will definitely look into my account and thefreethinker before making judgment.

This is definitely a loser avenger who is clinging to a small string of coincidences to annoy you for catching his alternate accounts.

The account came to the forum after a break, and after writing several posts, suddenly began to rummage in search of cheaters. Someone would believe that it was by chance?

You better check all your contacts because cheaters are very fond of shit in order to remove the one who prevents them from living on the forum.

There is no anonymity. It is being pseudonymous just to correct you there regardless of what social media you register on.
Though if I can recall correctly, there were anonymous posts here wherein users are either deleted or requested to be anonymous for some reason. That was back in the days though.

I agree. A browser and an IP address are not enough to be anonymous. Are all those hackers who break banks and steal large amounts only hiding behind an anonymous browser, Tor, which must be properly configured?

Alas, experienced people know how to do everything carefully, and there is a completely different science.

So if a department is interested in someone, they don't have to look far when people think they're protected by just two changes.

Most likely, this is a pill for your peace of mind, and nothing more.

2757  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 09, 2022, 07:03:30 AM
Being an entrepreneur is not an easy thing. Once a person turns to be an entrepreneur he'll not think of being into office job. At times there will be hard situations, but the entrepreneurial mind won't go down. They try to withstand the situation with earnings from the past. They knew today they might be in loss, but through entrepreneurship surely tomorrow we can make money, if we work hard on it. So, my choice will be entrepreneurship than office job.

I agree. I can't imagine how you can be an entrepreneur and serve another boss at the same time. Is it possible to combine one with the other, even purely psychologically? The one who decides to free himself and start his own business is already on a higher level than the one who serves another uncle. Yes, it's hard, but it's always better. Finding a business that will have a minimum of competitors and have unique products that are in demand will always be more profitable. The only thing you need to prepare for this is to be very consciously prepared in advance for various kinds of failures.

Security researchers at Otter have finally found the root cause of the widely publicized Solana breach - sloppy devs at the Slope wallet app.

Slope hired a server from a company called Sentry, which stored users' seed phrases in readable text form. Since the phrases were not encrypted, anyone with access to this specific Sentry server could potentially access users' private keys and steal their funds.

If you're a former user of the Slope wallet, you're advised to transfer your funds out by creating other wallets with unique seed phrases.

According to Otter's analysis, it looks like hackers have stolen $4 million from the users.

Otter's report is a timely reminder to all crypto users - never entrust your seed phrase to a third-party wallet or service. If you want to keep your funds safe, always store your seed phrase in a secure, offline location.

What do you guys think ?
