Personal note: Metro guys arrived a bit late, but hey, better late than ever. A cryptocurrency is a digital currency where encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds without a central bank. What is a bitcoin? Bitcoin is decentralised, which means that no single authority or institution holds or controls the bitcoins. Regular currency is controlled by one governing authority such as a central bank. If the country requires more money it can print more money but that devalues the currency and leads to inflation. Great coins came out of nowhere and with no ICO. I totally disagree with this promotional, probably paid, press release. Will sse after ICO ends but I don't think this will be better than Bitcoin. They wish.

As of now what you wrote it's true but we don't know if tonych will make new segwit addresses compatible with the distribution. Long time bitcoiners know what to do and I don't think newbies will start using segwit address so quickly

@Meuh6879 Excellent! I did notice something like that but now I have a second confirmation which makes me more comfortable. And, by the way, I love the GIFs you are always able to find. Or maybe you create them, especially those of Selma's ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Her name is S aLMA. I'm going to burn the correct spelling into your minds. Stare into the image and repeat after me: B-O-O-B-I-E-S ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) wonderful! I know her name's Salma but don't know why I wrote Selma. Trust me I will study your way and I will never make a mistake again. Before looking at the price I'll do that in the morning. At least I will get a sweet good morning ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

If logic has to prevail this upward trend should continue until the next distribution round due on September 6th. And, again, if logic works there should not be a huge dump after the airdrop since rules have changed in a more conservative way. We shall see

Give them an ETF and surelly the first shuttle that will have people living on the moon will be those funny bitcoin millionaires. we had time to buy many tickets... are you onboard?
No matter how high the price will be going up, there will always be loads of people asking whether or not it's the right time to buy at whatever price level ~ these people don't really understand this market. It has been like that when we were sitting at sub $1000 levels, and it's still like that today. Some people simply don't know when to enter the market, or they sold far too soon. Sure, I get it that people from time to time want to liquidate certain positions after the price has gone up like 50-100%, but I fail to understand why certain people choose to sell everything they have in one go. If I could get a chance to discuss again with my economist friends I should slap the new course of bitcoin in their face. I studied economics but to me bitcoin has always represented something more that they could not understand. We're talking game theory, cryptography, network effects etc. that's not easy to understand for many out there. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

When Bitcoin and a subsequent raft of cryptocurrencies first landed in the early part of the decade, many people -- including noted economists and finance experts -- dismissed them as a fad. ( ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) poor noted economists!) These new forms of digital money were viewed as little more than capitalist Tamagotchis, currencies with no value to anyone except those looking to buy illicit items. The raft of coffee shops selling lattes for Bitcoins have gone some way to disprove these negative perceptions, but the availability of luxury items like jewelry, cars and even fine art have really stated cryptocurrencies' case for permanence -- nearly a decade after they first came about. Two more bitcoin ETFs have been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). “Rex Bitcoin Strategy ETF” and “Rex Short Bitcoin Strategy ETF” are not expected to invest directly in bitcoin. Their investments will include US-listed bitcoin derivatives as well as “an actively managed portfolio of fixed income instruments.” More @ https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-etfs-filed-with-sec/

those altcoins are still far behind in terms of wallet security, especially ethereum. Relying on coinomi, exodus, jaxx is not the best you can do. you learned the lesson the hard way sorry for your loss but take some time to do some research and invest in coins which have secure wallets that you can handle yourself.

Real market moves will be made after all bytes will be distributed. Never forget that the value of this coin is not low and also bear in mind that it has one of the most advanced wallet around. This is still early stages ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Also by delaying people's withdrawals more tickets and emails to support are sent thus slowing down the whole operations of the site's owner.
Another thing I don't understand is that SS has been one of the first to offer BCH on its platform and that's been poorly advertised. The Opening page should be updated.
Customer care is very important in this business.

Litecoin LOL
Litecoin has its role: it's the small brother that slowly tries to find its way up. I don't see why Litecoin can't be on the second place in market cap after bitcoin. It think it's way better than many of the coins before. In the end Litecoin, it's just another version of bitcoin. Bitcoin got stopped again on ATH: as I said previously this will not last longer. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) hold

Do you plan on proving your reserves signing your cold storage address?
Yeah we will do that soon. This is another very important must have for any dice site: good to know you will implement an investment option with adjustable Kelly criterion. Only out of curiosity: can you share how many people are involved in this site?

I tried bitbond and i got robbed twice by the borrowers (I lent to the low paying loans with low interest but high rating). End result two defaulted loans and 0.1 bitcoin lost.

So...if I wanted to take the free cash I got from the fork and short it at full margin on Bitfinex, where would I set my margin to the highest level?
If I understand it correctly, you are planning to short an altcoin? I mean, not only sell, but margin short? I would not do it. Risky business. On the other hand, if you still hold a comparable amount of that altcoin it is safe to short it on margin as a hedge. Worst that could happen is I have no more of the shitcoin. Which puts me where I was 3 weeks ago. I don't see it surviving much longer. Especially since we get another shitcoin in November that will be very similar. I see where you stand on this but why don't you simply sell it and get more bitcoins? You will not be where you were three weeks ago but you will have an increased btc stash. This is what I will do. No margin trading for me

I understand your point of view and I agree but you know that humans need to compare things because they don't cope well with the unknown. We can be experts in knowing how bitcoin works but doing solid TAs is mostly luck.

If your site proves reliable and you implement an investment option that works fine (i.e. instant invest/divest; adjustable kelly) I expect your bankroll to grow up quickly. Keep us posted
