Grin

2744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hold onto its tag of the largest altcoin on: December 05, 2022, 07:22:44 PM
Ethereum is the largest blockchain and regulation from SEC will start from here.
The forecasts are not encouraging, but most wallets will require a KUS procedure in a few years. And large decentralized exchanges can use whitelisting, so you need to be very careful with this coin.
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recover Myetherwallet password? on: December 05, 2022, 07:15:20 PM
I created Myetherwallet for few years ago, and i lost private key but I've keystore file, when i'm trying to log in it’s asking password, but unfortunately i can't remember the password, now there are any way to recover the password?
I hope you remember how many characters were in your password. You can pick up a password using various programs.
With btcrecover you can extract the hashes you need.
You can guess the password using the hashcat program.
There is other software, but it is paid
2746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance smart chain and 0 dollars transactions attack on: December 05, 2022, 07:03:32 PM
Finally I found a good explanation for this attack

Address Poisoning Attack, A continuing Threat
https://mirror.xyz/x-explore.eth/cL3d_CyNujXq8XY7ueP4omNXx_IY1EG5Dz0FD0vJ90M
"As of December 2, the number of attacks on the BSC and ETH chains exceeded 290,000 and 40,000, respectively, and the number of independent addresses affected by the attacks exceeded 150,000 and 36,000, respectively."

You can say thank you to the user Ratimov
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5425735.msg61392318#msg61392318
You need to be careful and check the addresses more carefully.

2747  Other / Off-topic / Re: How important is working experience, and can it be ignored? on: December 04, 2022, 02:16:32 PM
I came across a post some time ago (not here on bitcointalk), I was not in the forum then too, so I did not take note of the link for discussion, but it was about how many jobs can be taught, so the writer was trying to understand why people get disqualified for little or no working experience in a Job Interview? Recently I came across a job listing that required over 9 years working experience to be qualified, looking at the job description, I didn't see any reason why someone with 5 years working experience was not suitable for it since it was not a job that required special skills and the monthly pay for the job was not encouraging. What is your opinion on eligibility for regular jobs that are based on working experience, do you think they are necessary, and what chances does it give to the young job seekers who are looking to gain experience on a job? how can they get experienced if they are already been disqualified for little or no working experience?
What job would you like to talk about?
Is it a bank manager or a very sophisticated machine operator in a factory?
If you are a good specialist with 5 years of experience, then you should not have problems, but I do not understand what kind of vacancy we are talking about. You work for a company, many people find better paying jobs and they poach good professionals from their old jobs.
True, we do not understand what job you are talking about and what position you are referring to.

Competence in work experience is very important for companies not to take up time in training or work adaptation. I think the job you are talking about is an important part of the company that requires sufficient experience in the job if your friend has the experience that does not match the job offered by the company, no matter how long he has experience in the workplace without any consideration the company will reject the friend's application You.

Work experience is very important for companies because indeed people who already have experience will know how to work in a company, therefore many companies prefer people who have work experience.
I think the case that you find is for key positions in companies like executives, managers, specialized teams and others that require a fair amount of work experience in the job.

What about young workers with little experience?
I think there are not a few job vacancies that require workers who have no experience, you can have experience there even though the position offered is under the company.

If you don't have the opportunity to jump right into a key position in the company, start from the bottom.
There are still important points, this is the time of adaptation in the company, so even an experienced employee will need time to get to know the team and work more efficiently.
For example, in trading there is the concept of a cycle of one sale. I don't know how competently it sounds in English, but for example, if a company sells complex machines for production or builds factories, then the cycle of one sale can take from 6 months to several years. And even a professional with 10 years of experience needs to go this way.
And if you need a insurance seller, then 5 or 10 years of experience will not play a lot of role, but as an employer I will hire a younger worker.
2748  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC plans on making crypto initiative top priority as plot for new regulation!!! on: December 03, 2022, 08:07:29 PM
I look at regulation from the other side.
If the regulator recognizes cryptocurrencies as shares, then crypto projects will have to pay heavy fines. This applies to those coins where there were IСO or other public sales. For example, Ethereum will pay a fine, but many projects will not be able to do this.
And what will happen to crypto-exchanges. If they trade shares, then they need to pool new licenses and delist many coins.

2750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallet address generator Help on: December 03, 2022, 07:34:46 PM
Why should I use a paper wallet when I can buy a $60 hardware wallet and store my coins there?
This is much more convenient if you want to store multiple coins, or want to do so in the future. Previously, there were no hardware wallets or they were expensive and untested.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi scheme scammer uses BTC to cover tracks on: December 02, 2022, 01:41:53 PM
I work in healthcare and one of my patients offered an investment opportunity to me.
Leaving any amount of money higher than 100 bucks untouched for 9 months, would result in a 600% return on investment.
Of course this is fraud, but I had to figure it out. It is a pyramid system in which withdrawals of people at the top, are funded by money from new "investors" at the bottom of the pyramid. My patient had made 2 previous withdrawals with success ($2500 profit and $9000 profit), and has now invested $10 000 expecting 60 000 in a few months.

When no new money enters the system, the bottom line of the pyramid loses their money and the creator of the scam takes it all.
The scammer asks to get paid in BTC, not in fiat currency.

Can his BTC address somehow lead to an arrest?
Ponzi schemes don't last long. And historically these people are arrested because the source of the money is easily identified.
Now with BTC I think it is much harder to identify the scammer and to stop the scheme. I think it's harder for any government to prove that there is a Ponzi scheme in the first place
There is a lot of such fraud in my country, but a very important point for a new participant to receive money is to attract new investors to this financial pyramid. If you do not bring new participants, then the organizers of the financial pyramid will not allow you to withdraw a lot of money. Therefore, the participants of the financial paramid are actively engaged in attracting new participants.

"Miners, who raised as much as $4 billion from mining-equipment financing when profit margins were as high as 90%, are defaulting on loans and sending hundreds of thousands of machines that served as collateral back to lenders. New York Digital Investment Group, Celsius Network, BlockFi Inc., Galaxy Digital, and the Foundry unit of Digital Currency Group were among the biggest providers of funding to finance computer equipment and build data centers."
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15M BTC goes into self custody on: December 02, 2022, 01:33:50 PM
I think that crypto users have already become smarter and do not store their assets on centralized exchanges or the minimum amount for trading. As a result of the recent bankruptcies of large crypto companies, many institutional investors and not individuals have suffered.
2754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ECB blog statement: "Bitcoin’s last stand" on: December 02, 2022, 01:24:35 PM
I heard that the banking system of P2P transfers works much worse in Europe. To confirm transfers, you need to call the bank or send a fax. CBDC will give more opportunities for people to easily and quickly make P2P transfers and exchange cryptocurrencies for CBDC.
2755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: December 02, 2022, 01:03:05 PM
The Ankr DeFi protocol was hacked, as a result, a huge number of aBNBc tokens were issued by the attackers, after which its price fell to zero, losses are estimated at about $15 million.

The project team confirms the hack and declares that the users' funds are safe, and will be reimbursed by the reissue of aBNBc based on a snapshot of users' wallets.

2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance smart chain and 0 dollars transactions attack on: December 01, 2022, 12:15:43 PM
Those transactions send 0 tokens from possible victims wallets to scammer's wallet. It's possible to send 0 tokens from your address without private keys because the system accepts them because transaction is zero.
If someone can send 0 tokens from my address, then he can reset my wallet, because for each transaction you need to pay a commission.
This is not possible without a private key. I think that you do not understand how blockchain binance works.

The scammer creates address that is similar to address you sent tokens to. For example if you send 1000 Tether USD to you binance address ending with 12345, then the attacker send a minute later 0 Tether USD from your address to his address that looks like your binance address, it also ends with 12345. Scammer hopes you copy paste his address from bscscan and he hopes you send to his address instead of your binance address.
I chose a random address, try sending 0 tokens from this wallet.

2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ECB blog statement: "Bitcoin’s last stand" on: December 01, 2022, 12:03:57 PM
If I wanted to kill bitcoin, then I would write more convincing information that certain people were mining and buying back bitcoins when it was very cheap and now they are manipulating the cryptocurrency market. SBF is one of the representatives of manipulators. And if I see such articles, then I think that the manipulators still have plans for bitcoin.

https://beincrypto.com/italy-impose-crypto-gains-tax-26-starting-2023/
"Italy will begin taxing crypto at a rate of 26% from 2023, as well as expanding disclosure requirements.
The capital gains tax only applies to profits greater than 2,000 euros.
Many crypto exchanges have received licenses to operate in the country, which is working on broader regulation."
2759  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency Law in Brazil on: December 01, 2022, 11:49:07 AM

Biannce has now about 60% of Brazilian daily volume.
There are no Russian crypto-exchanges in Russia either, and funds on binance can be blocked at any time and there are limits on the balance of funds.
Many users use VPNs and drops who are citizens of other countries. This is not safe, but keeping funds on centralized exchanges is also not safe.
