2741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Wont Sell his Bitcoin on: March 21, 2022, 04:43:54 AM
It is not good at all to trust a influencer who works for himself. Elon Musk is messing crypto market for promoting his shitcoin. If you think deeply, you will be able to see promotion of his shitcoin in this speech and it may be directly or indirectly. We should not follow all the speech from influencer like Elon Musk though he is the richest man.

If it weren't for his success at Tesla and the recent gains he made to become the world's richest man, I doubt people would still listen to Elon Musk's financial advice. I'm tired of headlines like "Elon did this with bitcoin" and "Elon did that with bitcoin,"  he should just rest and let the market do its thing. The last time I checked, his impact and influence in the market were no longer felt. He wasn't the only Microstrategy company that hodl bitcoin Undecided and joke aside, if bitcoin should $100k today, he will surely sell some of his shares just the way he did sold some of his Tesla stocks.
2742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Assumptions of People who don't know about bitcoin... Ki on: March 21, 2022, 04:28:59 AM
Did you design the image? It says a lot, I think a part about plugging of money from Bitcoin should be included. When you try to discuss bitcoin as internet money, they think it's just a place where they can come and plug their own shares, which is funny to me how they view bitcoin.

There was a time when I had to keep things to myself, the Bitcoin revolution is real, and many people are informed about bitcoin, however, not everyone will want to adopt the positive aspects of Bitcoin as they've been distracted by the traditional system, try to convince them, teach them, they will continue to call bitcoin various names and see it in various images.

Some people don't just want to hear about bitcoin, that word irks them and always view it as gambling, try to educate them about bitcoin, they wrongly assume you are attempting to initiate them into gambling. I have concluded that those who will learn and embrace bitcoin's workings will, while the zombies who are tied to traditional money will remain until the end of the world.
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 20, 2022, 09:49:54 PM
Opponents of Manchester United's upcoming matches are not easy. They will play against teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Crystal Palace. And they don't seem to be able to win these matches. Their performance is very poor. So fourth place in the points table is now uncertain for Manchester United. Arsenal are 4 points ahead of United despite performing less than one match. Manchester United will not be able to qualify for the Champions League.

It will be tough for manchester united with their current form I don't think they can any of these teams and already Arsenal is walking away with the 4th place spot with an outstanding game. Their champions league hopes will die off if they don't step up their game soon.

In football, things change so quickly that we don't realize it on time. Arsenal is having just one outstanding match, and by the time they are done with these matches, each team has 10 more matches to play until the next Champions League, and you know what happens during this period, that's when teams in the 9-15 spot start to win their matches against the big teams at the top of the table, which is why it's too early to celebrate Man U's exit from the table.
2744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 20, 2022, 09:24:52 PM
It will make 12 games in a row with a win and a draw for Barcelona, they have won 4 goals in just under 60 minutes of the match by kicking away Real Madrid, this will help Barcelona remain top four but I am wondering how they will do with Atletico Madrid, if they can perform like they did today against Madrid, it will help them bring down Sevilla. In addition, I believe Benzema and Mendy's injuries contributed to Real Madrid's loss today.
2745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 19, 2022, 02:55:47 PM
Barcelona and Real Madrid both are getting prepared for a huge El Clasico now. It is only two days away from us. Real Madrid might seem to be having an advantage as they are going to play home. But as this is El Clasico, there is no clear favourite. Real Madrid have had a much better season than Barcelona so far. But Barcelona's recent performance has been really amazing in the La Liga. If we take this into account too, I think each one of these teams will score at least one goal here.

Barcelona has won and drawn their last 11 games without losing to anyone, but their encounters with Real Madrid have always ended in defeat, do you think  they can draw with Real Madrid this time? and to say that it is Real Madrid players who are leading La Liga in goals, which is magnificent!!  Assuming they manage to draw against Real Madrid (which is unlikely), Atletico Madrid will come out in full force to take their place.
2746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 19, 2022, 02:30:06 PM
This match will be played at home to Aston Villa but Arsenal have high motivation to win this match, Arsenal are trying to stay in 4th place in the standings and the intense competition for UCL tickets next season requires Arsenal to consistently get full points.
I think Arsenal will be able to win this match even with a narrow score, 1-0 or 2-1.
Aston Villa could have been playing quite well since recently and the club can have home advantage, Arsenal too had suffered loss to Liverpool in their last match in Arsenal home but we know how Liverpool and Machester City are able to win any EPL club recently in most matches they play. In my own view too, with the performance of Arsenal and to retain the fourth position, he will have the zeal to win Aston Villa, even that aside, Arsenal have better players than Aston Villa and have most chance to win.

Before Arsenal match against Liverpool, I predicted that they will loose to Liverpool even when I was a little bit convince at the first half of the match and I also predicted that Arsenal will win Aston villa due to their last outstanding performance.
I have this strong feelings that Arsenal will give Crystal palace some nightmare and I think third place in the table wouldn't be problem except that Chelsea has become so sticky to that second place which will be hard for them to overcome and now that Man u is out of UCL, they are tasty to remain in the top four.
2747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forum boards and moderators. on: March 19, 2022, 10:08:10 AM
I have had that in mind but it slipped my mind. I think selection of new moderators will likely not happen anytime because the work of moderators have been reduced by some hardworking members, all they do now is to check reported posts with good accuracy and they be the judge to whoever break bitcointalk rules. Ratimov for example celebreted about 100,000 good reports some days ago, there are others who do the same reports to make the work of moderators easier.
I am even concerned about beginner and help board moderator, MiningBuddy, hope he is fine because I didn't see where he announced his exit or any good bye notes and his name is still there as the Mod.
2748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In a world where trust fails on: March 18, 2022, 11:27:07 PM
Trust is a big thing that once it's broken, they becomes hard to replace or arrange back to how they are but bitcoin has solved this for everyone. Unlike the banks that have failed us multiple occasions, you have to deal with their incompetent and sorry for the downtime.
Thanks to Satoshi for I now have more believe in bitcoin than banks that my parents trust their savings and pension funds with, I can tip anyone I want and I don't need to wait for "interbank transfer is currently in maintenance" and lastly thanks to him for making a forum like this, the knowledge I have gathered from this forum.
2749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should forget that there'll be 21M BTC on: March 18, 2022, 11:06:45 PM
If a wallet address like legacy for example has bitcoin locked on his public key and has remained in active for some years, does that mean the private keys are lost? I think this hypothesis of lost private keys or lost btc should be discard, just two weeks back, we saw 10 years of BTC on the move to exchange.
I'm not sure what will happen to Satoshi share early mined bitcoin but I have this feeling that if the market becomes stable, he wouldn't still sell all at once. I remember billions of shib was airdroped to ethereum founder and it becomes even more stronger, bitcoin can do the same and will one day achieve a price that people will not fear Satoshi bitcoin liquidation.
What ever happened to the number of supply, try and get some for yourself, we never can tell tomorrow.
2750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Occupational hazards of trading crypto on: March 18, 2022, 10:40:48 PM
Aim of this Discuss

Trading of crypto full time as an occupation is fast becoming a trend, this discuss is to elucidate the long term effects associated with crypto trading so that forum members who are considering it as a career option can know what they should be expecting and how to avoid it.

The very first long-term occupational hazard i can think of is the development of High blood pressure...

What can you add to the list of dangers associated with making crypto trading a full time occupation?

I can add few I remember when I tested trading sometime ago. Trading is very hard if you are not prepared especially this thing that annoyed me and keep repeating, it is when you sell the price always go up and fall when you buy, I keep making that mistake until I got tired and gave my self some break, and what I learned during that period are:
1. Lack of good sleep: It's not that I wake up in the night to check my trades but psychologically, I do remember my opened trades while on sleep, weird right!
2. I don't eat on time: I developed this habit of eating late until I release my ulcer was getting increased, trading affected the way I eat.
3. Trading made me have little for love for family friends, loosing money is not easy, your reaction to your families speak how angry
2751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It seems that more people taking crypto trading as full time job on: March 18, 2022, 10:25:02 PM
During the situation around the world where low payed jobs more people looking for opportnuties to work online.
And crypto is one of them options
Future trading is one of the most popular ways to make full time income.
Ifyou dont know how to trade good use good signals for spot and futures trading right now many people become traders.

Are you full time trader ?

Future trading is not the most popular way to make full time money in trading, in fact, futures is one if the most popular firm of trading to lost money very quickly. If you don't have basic of trading, future trading is going to be very difficult for any person to enjoy.
I we go with Margin but I think liquidation has been reduced by 3X tokens they called _UP and _DOWN on most centralized exchanges and how popular the project has become.
We now have advancement in our life, not just technology but in everything and now that trading is part of making some money, people has changed the way life.
2752  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a game of quantity on: March 18, 2022, 10:08:03 PM
A game of quantity since the supply is very limited and only 21 million will ever be in circulation. Panic is a part of human nature, and it shows that we have emotions, and why we respond to price drops, even long-term investors experience it, it all depends on how our minds are prepared to hold.
Unless you want to do a dollar-cost average (DCA) or buy when the price drops, bitcoin price is often difficult to predict. I know a lot of friends who are still waiting for the bitcoin price at $8000 bid order line up on exchanges, and bitcoin has yet to visit that low price.
2753  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What kind of software should beginners know? on: March 18, 2022, 05:57:35 AM
.....

Security and Privacy are what I have to share with a newbie, it is possible that a new person may learn all that you have listed above but may hardly know the difference between privacy and security. For example, to achieve privacy, you can use a VPN but not all VPNs are that secured especially the few ones you see around are most of the free server locations they provide are all US and the US is prohibited in some countries. If they learned that two,  any software wouldn't be a problem especially when it comes to know the difference between open source and close source.
2754  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 17, 2022, 05:52:37 PM
I'm going to reply to this thread with honesty and anyone from my locality can attest to my opinion.
You see, there are some countries that are still living below the international poverty line, my country for example pay a minimum wage of #30,000 which is <= $53 (depending on the $$ rate, I used #570 per dollar) and imagine someone earning $1500 (570*1500 = #855,000) in a week, that's should be enough to feed you and your family and save some for rainy days unless you are the type that loves extravagant life, but trust me, you are 4 times better than some running for jobs slots in big firms. In fact, let me burst your bubbles, that's the salary of some master holders in some big firms.
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 16, 2022, 09:56:27 PM
Arsenal never fails to disappoint! I was happy in the first 15 minutes of the march that they were giving Liverpool some though play when they changed ball possession within 5 minutes, but I was later angry at them, how do the fans deal with this failure? They had chances to score in every opportunity they had in the match, I'm not sure Saka has the bones in him to do some pushing.  Embarrassed
Anyway, I knew Liverpool would be difficult to defeat. I will see their performance when Watford pay them a visit in their next match.
2756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: March 16, 2022, 07:19:00 PM
also worth remembering that when internet came some said newspapers would end, when ebooks came many said it was the end for books... we still see books around and newspapers too (thought I could agree that maybe newspapers won't last much longer...)

Technology has been in existence right from the medieval days and with time, it has revolves and disintegrated into different forms and it the loop has been going on for long, it doesn't end it one place, it will continue to progress but you see books, I doubt if it will every be replace, even the so historians and advanced archeologist still want some documentation should be in book written form, not everything will go digital.
I think I'm the only one that hate technology replacing every aspect of sports, the fun is fading away without us realizing it.
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 16, 2022, 06:49:30 PM
Tonight's game between Liverpool and Arsenal will be a good chance for both clubs to make a huge difference in their scores and points on the premier league table, I am very sure the will not be many goals in the matches but quite sure a club is going to win the match before the of the 90 minutes.

Let's see how the game will go and how both arsenal and Liverpool will take advantage of the chance they get during the game.

Liverpool and Arsenal match is going to be like elementary game of touch and run where the both players struggle to reach the other side. Liverpool will want to win Arsenal so they can easily clinch first place and Arsenal will want to win in order to maintain 3rd place move up to second. It's going to be a tight game, but you know anything can happen too, Sallah is good for his reputation, and he'll do anything for Liverpool.
2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 16, 2022, 05:54:43 PM
As I predicted yesterday, MU inconsistency is happening right now. Atletico had a more organized attack than United, although in the second half there were plenty of chances that United could have taken advantage of to make a goal. MU next season must completely change the composition of players and coach strategy, and Rangnick's opportunity to be replaced by another coach is very open, considering his contract is also temporary with MU.

It's a tragedy for Manchester United, who are well-known for teaching Atletico some lessons, football can be unpredictable at times. Since 2008, when Manchester United last won the Champions League, it has been difficult to repeat the victory, and even after signing Ronaldo and Sancho to boost their chances of winning the UCL, they have been dropped from the top 16. I'm hoping that the remaining two years of his contract will bring some joy back to Manchester United because his age is really affecting him.

2759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Are Internal Transactions In Exchanges Free? on: March 16, 2022, 11:27:49 AM
Off-chain transaction happens within the exchanges that's why they don't get included on the blockchain. For a transaction to be visible on the ledger, they have to be validated by all the nodes and verify by miners which don't happen when transaction happen within an exchange. Internal transactions don't usually count unless they follow the consensus rule of Bitcoin.
So, when you make bitcoin withdrawal, in order to receive it, they charge you for a fee to facilitate that transaction to your designated external wallet.
2760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some avoidable forum mistakes of Newbies on: March 15, 2022, 08:29:56 PM
Even if newbies easily make mistakes because of not familiar with things due lack of knowledge,  their are some mistakes in the forum every newbie needs to avoid, like plagiarism , it is one of the rules the forum forbids much, so newbie have any excuse to give about plagiarism.

There is this saying in my language we use to caution someone when the person is new to an environment or system but doesn't want to slow things down, I will put it in English form even if doesn't sweet the irony:- A good road is always good for a journey but be careful because there might be a sharp corner.
There are some people on this forum that were introduced here by friends but because they see them doing well, the next thing they want to do is to do like them instead of them to read the rules and regulations and before you know, boom they will make mistakes that they would have avoided from the beginning of their journey.
