2741  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 23, 2022, 10:22:55 PM
Putin did rally addressing Russians today who gathered in large numbers . It appears he still has the support of some people from the large number that gathered or they are just party faithfuls who are fulfilling the party obligation as members. But on a global scale, Putin seem to be alone except with the recent development with China and India wanting to establish trading deals with Putin.

If I had a common interest with Russia because Ukraine had wronged me in the past, I would not have come out in public to say so, and I believe that is what is happening on a worldwide spectrum to some people who have been misled by the Russia-Ukraine conflict,  there are some countries apart from China who will take side with Russian that is why I don't believe the votes in the United Nations just an empty barrel.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, sanctions or no sanctions, Russia will do anything they want because they were well prepared before the conflict, you know you can't start what you can't finish. Anyways, let's end this war and make peace again Sad
2742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 23, 2022, 09:48:22 PM
It is rather unnecessary to even make any comparisons between the two teams. Liverpool is a team striving to become champions, there is only one point difference from the leader of the league. The other team is one of the worst teams in the league. I don't think we will encounter any surprise results.
Liverpool will come out of this match with a win where they have scored many goals Smiley

Your comments sound as if you are new to football. Do you know that the underperforming clubs in the league often ruin big teams' points? The last time Watford faced Liverpool was at Vicarage Road, where they thrashed Liverpool 3-0. Tell me what's keeping them from doing the same thing again.
If Liverpool manages to win Watford by having 3 points, Manchester City has a high chance of staying in the top 1 because there with Burnley has always been easy for them.

Hello, I wanted to ask, can you help financially, gratuitously, I'm from Russia, we don't have enough money for food, medicines, utilities, it became very difficult after the invasion, sanctions are pressing hard, besides the government itself also contributes to this, the people are already without the source, please, no please help me.
I do not know if it is still possible to withdraw from wallets or not, I have no idea, but please help! Can you transfer to a wallet DOGE DBRzb9s4atyBnm7qYxMdab8EBefMHCzE4H I'm sorry, I forgot to specify the amount, I'm sorry that I'm being impudent, the final amount needs $ 80

It was odd that a Senior rank would write me anything like this, so I checked my computer to see if it was an inactive account, and I wasn't surprised, it was openly displayed on his profile.
The way the user communicated in English is strange and it is possible that the account was sold else the real owner would have made a report of theft since 2 years ago the account was last active and ever since 2020, the account has been hunting for non-collateral loans and now begging in PMs.
2744  Other / Beginners & Help / Don't accept bribe to do KYC, it doesn't worth it on: March 23, 2022, 05:57:38 PM
You all remember what happened to the Canada freedom convoy protesters[1] when they received massive donations through bitcoin and the aftermath that occur? All those who made bitcoins donations via exchanges were tracked and their accounts were suspended pending investigation because the donations came from an exchange, that's what happens when you KYC on an exchange, you just handed over your identity and everything about you to them.

Apart from the privacy that KYC will take away from you, it poses a significant risk to yourself and creates a great deal of uncertainty. There could be a data leak from an exchange, and you may find it difficult to comprehend when you are wanted for something you never did or had any knowledge about. Just imagine your passport displayed on the dark web as a tool for sale for anyone who wants to do something bad and cover their tracks with your identity.

I received an email from Blockchain stating that I should verify the account I opened when I was new to Bitcoin and had no idea that it was still operational until yesterday that I should verify my account and enjoy some benefits such as swapping, buying, and selling, and that I would be entitled to $5 if I did so. I had to pause a second and laugh at the incentive just to give out my information.

Runaway from KYC, this is just one of the ways they want you to give out your privacy for a change and lastly to the Airdrop Maffians that rush to KYC, be careful of those platforms that promise you a penny, they don't worth your information.

2745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet that supports BTC on PC (Extension) on: March 22, 2022, 10:52:35 PM
I haven't used any extensions other than the one I used for the forum, but you should be cautious about how you want to use extensions, particularly with Bitcoin. I don't want to encroach on your privacy, but why would you want to use a Bitcoin wallet extension when there are other options like Electrum, Samurai and Wasabi, they are decent for privacy and security but not as great as a hardware wallet, you should try to get one for your bitcoin storage if you can afford it.
2746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency education in school's curriculum, good or needless? on: March 22, 2022, 10:04:20 PM
.......

I think we have cryptography and other blockchain-related courses under the MIT license, and there are schools that are already investigating the impact of cryptocurrency, both technical and financial aspects, though it is very limited due to the regulations that surround bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
The thing that I want to be an advocate for is trading, trading is more of a technical thing that anyone will want to engage in, and I'm dissatisfied with how finance is taught in school, they teach bonds and securities, but I'm not sure why they don't teach how to use these things in practice. I had no prior knowledge of trading until I began studying bitcoin, and I was a little upset that I arrived late, but better late than never.
2747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 22, 2022, 09:28:09 PM
What great come back after their bad situation and what a big  victory against Real Madrid.Barcelona played really well last few matches.Specially, Xavi doing very well for Barcelona. Real madrid didn’t any single score but Bachelona did 4 goal, they won by 4-0 goal.I hope Barcelona wil be ended top 4 in this season.

It is unlikely that they will finish in the top 4, I think they could even finish second. Sevilla have lost a lot of points in the last weeks and the team is not in very good shape, their motivation is quite low. On the other hand, Barcelona are playing in incredible form and never lose a match.
I think the biggest candidate to be the runner-up this year is Barcelona right now Smiley

If Benzema had been in the game, I have strong feelings that they would have done better. I'm not saying they will win Barcelona, but they would have at least one goal since he is still the top player this season.
I disagree that Sevilla would want to relax at any time given what they have seen Barcelona achieve in the previous couple of matches, and it will be interesting to see how Barcelona and Sevilla conclude because they were able to give Real Madrid, who is top of the league, a cool 4 goals.
2748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 22, 2022, 09:00:05 PM
In the best case scenario, they may even manage to stay in 6th place, if Man United continues to play very irregular games.

It's difficult with the rest of their games, I think Tottenham are more favourites than West Ham. But a Man United bug is very likely to happen. But if you look at West Ham's fixture schedule they have a more congested schedule because they still appear in the Europa League. Whereas in the EPL their chances are also tough because they have the rest of the game with a great team, similar to Man United but they have fewer schedules.

Tottenham's initial encounter with Man United ended in a 3-1 game, a small margin of victory, and if it weren't for the fact that they already play at home, Tottenham may beat Man United the next time they meet.
Tottenham isn't left out either, they have a full month of EPL fixtures scheduled, all of which are against top clubs. I wouldn't say they have a little chance, but they do need a lot of energy to burn these men out, or else Man United will have to replace them.
2749  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is a part of war now, like it or not on: March 22, 2022, 05:18:34 AM
Crypto is not part of War and wasn't meant for war, it was developed to liberate people and that's exactly what it's doing best right now. For instance, Bitcoin is permissionless and holding it helps you make payment without seeking anyone or authority to facilitate your transaction and support borderless payment. Now, compare it with to Banks, will bank allow you to sent money to Ukraine knowing that you are doing it to support Ukraine, your governments may disapprove it at instants and let's say they even approve it, it will take days before that payment will get to Ukraine, this is where Bitcoin(cryptocurrency) saves people and not fuel for war.
2750  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine has legalized the cryptosector on: March 22, 2022, 04:57:47 AM
This will definitely happen, in the war with Russia crypto has played an extremely important role for Ukraine. As they begged the world to mobilize people to support them through the war. Without crypto, I don't think how we can donate a large amount of money to them when the cross-border remittance of banks is fraught with formalities and complications.
Hopefully, legalization will pave the way for bitcoin to become legal tender in Ukraine when the war is over.

Why do I have this feeling that governments are clowns, it is not limited to any country, they are all the same. The legal proceedings came in when they were on the hot seat, what happen to the process before they were invaded by the Russians. Ukraine was largely donated to by the Bitcoin community, it is time others should follow the legal preparation of Bitcoin before it is too late. I hope Zelensky doesn't change his mind about those bitcoins donated, I trust no government when they sit on their chairs.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Saved Banking Stress. on: March 21, 2022, 09:55:57 PM
Over the years man has been struggling to make money in order to survive and sustain, after much hustle and bustle, man will still rush to the bank to save some money for future use.
Saving money is one of the ways enriching the banks while you stay poor, you are adding to their vault and its that same vault they lend to people with ridiculous interest rate together with collateral property or an asset, man should never save rather invest their money.
Quote
Man will save a million in the bank but when you want to withdraw from your savings you can not withdraw up to a million that you saved why? because bank will charge you for card maintenance, sms and email alerts, etc.

Not because Banks charge you for SMS, you can disable those features if you want it and each bank with their policy, they wouldn't want to go zero, all the money you see banks are operating is not theirs, it is you and I money that they are using for business to gain profits, if your withdrawal is enough to make them collapse will be denied.

Quote
Apart from the charges you get on weekly basis, you will always be stressed whenever you want to deposit or withdraw money in the bank most times you will spend the whole day without achieving your purpose of going there but upon the arrival of Bitcoin, everything changed, the suffering of people reduced from 100% to 10% because they no longer have to go to the bank, people now trade with Bitcoin as it is the only means of financial freedom because you can monitor your funds without asking what happened for it reduction.

You know the saying 'be your own bank", instead of allowing people to bank you, you should try and bank yourself. banks charge you for the service they provide for you, if you take bitcoin security (private keys) with you and only known by you, those charges will be out of your cycle.

I want to know if i missed some digits of bitcoin wallet or when coping the wallet and you fails to copy complete wallet and send Bitcoin, will it get to exact address you want? And if happens not get to your point of sending, can it bounced back to the wallet of sender?.

I want to learn.

Your wallet has a built-in error checking, if it detects that your wallet address is not in the standard format, it will display an error message indicating that the address is incorrect. To avoid transferring Bitcoin to anybody, most wallets contain this error checking.
When you have some missing characters in your receiver address, go to Wallet explorer,  and search for that address, it will assist you to identify the missing character.
If you transfer bitcoin to the wrong address, it will be sent to that address and you will not be able to retrieve it.
2752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT Sending Fees on: March 21, 2022, 06:07:07 AM
If I get USDT and want to send it, what are the current fees to send it to someone else?  I know there is no fee for me to receive USDT.  Most likely if I'm receiving ETH from a site, it will be in the ETH network?

If you're are receiving Ether from a site and you choose Ethereum network when making a withdrawal, it will certainly be in Ethereum Network

Quote
Example I receive USDT from a website.  Now I want to send USDT to someone.  If the USDT is ETH, how much fees do I have to pay?  What if the USDT I am receiving is Tron or another type of network?  I heard there is the BNB network as well.

Transaction Fees depends on how busy the network you are using. If you are using the Ethereum network, you can make check gas tracker.[1] It displays the current cost that must be paid in order to get a transaction possible. USDT for example will cost you around $5.2 in ETH
Sending USDT via Tron and BSC is less expensive, but you should consider if the recipient supports the network deposit.

Quote
Does it make sense to send USDT in small amounts as the sending fee could be more than the USDT amount?  Imagine sending one dollar USDT to someone.

It doesn't make sense to send 1 dollar USDT through Ethereum, your fees will be bigger than what you are sending.

2753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 21, 2022, 05:12:35 AM
Is 1$ investment in crypto every day enough? I'm making up to 10$ per day and I don't want something that will tie me down financially since I have other things I'm using the money for aka responsibilities so all I can afford is 1$ per day, also is BTC the best option with this 1$ per day?

This might have worked in the past and I can see some threads as recommendation but I don't know why no one is talking about how you intend to buy 1$ worth of Bitcoin today especially now that bitcoin price is high. Do you intend to use an exchange or buy from p2p, either of the two will be possible as most exchanges will require you to buy at least $10 worth of Bitcoin and p2p has their terms and conditions for trades.
My little advice, save up the dollar bills and buy at every sum of $10 or $20, keep doing that until you reach your desire quantity.
2754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Wont Sell his Bitcoin on: March 21, 2022, 04:43:54 AM
It is not good at all to trust a influencer who works for himself. Elon Musk is messing crypto market for promoting his shitcoin. If you think deeply, you will be able to see promotion of his shitcoin in this speech and it may be directly or indirectly. We should not follow all the speech from influencer like Elon Musk though he is the richest man.

If it weren't for his success at Tesla and the recent gains he made to become the world's richest man, I doubt people would still listen to Elon Musk's financial advice. I'm tired of headlines like "Elon did this with bitcoin" and "Elon did that with bitcoin,"  he should just rest and let the market do its thing. The last time I checked, his impact and influence in the market were no longer felt. He wasn't the only Microstrategy company that hodl bitcoin Undecided and joke aside, if bitcoin should $100k today, he will surely sell some of his shares just the way he did sold some of his Tesla stocks.
2755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Assumptions of People who don't know about bitcoin... Ki on: March 21, 2022, 04:28:59 AM
Did you design the image? It says a lot, I think a part about plugging of money from Bitcoin should be included. When you try to discuss bitcoin as internet money, they think it's just a place where they can come and plug their own shares, which is funny to me how they view bitcoin.

There was a time when I had to keep things to myself, the Bitcoin revolution is real, and many people are informed about bitcoin, however, not everyone will want to adopt the positive aspects of Bitcoin as they've been distracted by the traditional system, try to convince them, teach them, they will continue to call bitcoin various names and see it in various images.

Some people don't just want to hear about bitcoin, that word irks them and always view it as gambling, try to educate them about bitcoin, they wrongly assume you are attempting to initiate them into gambling. I have concluded that those who will learn and embrace bitcoin's workings will, while the zombies who are tied to traditional money will remain until the end of the world.
2756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 20, 2022, 09:49:54 PM
Opponents of Manchester United's upcoming matches are not easy. They will play against teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Crystal Palace. And they don't seem to be able to win these matches. Their performance is very poor. So fourth place in the points table is now uncertain for Manchester United. Arsenal are 4 points ahead of United despite performing less than one match. Manchester United will not be able to qualify for the Champions League.

It will be tough for manchester united with their current form I don't think they can any of these teams and already Arsenal is walking away with the 4th place spot with an outstanding game. Their champions league hopes will die off if they don't step up their game soon.

In football, things change so quickly that we don't realize it on time. Arsenal is having just one outstanding match, and by the time they are done with these matches, each team has 10 more matches to play until the next Champions League, and you know what happens during this period, that's when teams in the 9-15 spot start to win their matches against the big teams at the top of the table, which is why it's too early to celebrate Man U's exit from the table.
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 20, 2022, 09:24:52 PM
It will make 12 games in a row with a win and a draw for Barcelona, they have won 4 goals in just under 60 minutes of the match by kicking away Real Madrid, this will help Barcelona remain top four but I am wondering how they will do with Atletico Madrid, if they can perform like they did today against Madrid, it will help them bring down Sevilla. In addition, I believe Benzema and Mendy's injuries contributed to Real Madrid's loss today.
2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 19, 2022, 02:55:47 PM
Barcelona and Real Madrid both are getting prepared for a huge El Clasico now. It is only two days away from us. Real Madrid might seem to be having an advantage as they are going to play home. But as this is El Clasico, there is no clear favourite. Real Madrid have had a much better season than Barcelona so far. But Barcelona's recent performance has been really amazing in the La Liga. If we take this into account too, I think each one of these teams will score at least one goal here.

Barcelona has won and drawn their last 11 games without losing to anyone, but their encounters with Real Madrid have always ended in defeat, do you think  they can draw with Real Madrid this time? and to say that it is Real Madrid players who are leading La Liga in goals, which is magnificent!!  Assuming they manage to draw against Real Madrid (which is unlikely), Atletico Madrid will come out in full force to take their place.
2759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: March 19, 2022, 02:30:06 PM
This match will be played at home to Aston Villa but Arsenal have high motivation to win this match, Arsenal are trying to stay in 4th place in the standings and the intense competition for UCL tickets next season requires Arsenal to consistently get full points.
I think Arsenal will be able to win this match even with a narrow score, 1-0 or 2-1.
Aston Villa could have been playing quite well since recently and the club can have home advantage, Arsenal too had suffered loss to Liverpool in their last match in Arsenal home but we know how Liverpool and Machester City are able to win any EPL club recently in most matches they play. In my own view too, with the performance of Arsenal and to retain the fourth position, he will have the zeal to win Aston Villa, even that aside, Arsenal have better players than Aston Villa and have most chance to win.

Before Arsenal match against Liverpool, I predicted that they will loose to Liverpool even when I was a little bit convince at the first half of the match and I also predicted that Arsenal will win Aston villa due to their last outstanding performance.
I have this strong feelings that Arsenal will give Crystal palace some nightmare and I think third place in the table wouldn't be problem except that Chelsea has become so sticky to that second place which will be hard for them to overcome and now that Man u is out of UCL, they are tasty to remain in the top four.
2760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forum boards and moderators. on: March 19, 2022, 10:08:10 AM
I have had that in mind but it slipped my mind. I think selection of new moderators will likely not happen anytime because the work of moderators have been reduced by some hardworking members, all they do now is to check reported posts with good accuracy and they be the judge to whoever break bitcointalk rules. Ratimov for example celebreted about 100,000 good reports some days ago, there are others who do the same reports to make the work of moderators easier.
I am even concerned about beginner and help board moderator, MiningBuddy, hope he is fine because I didn't see where he announced his exit or any good bye notes and his name is still there as the Mod.
