2741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2016 was amaizing yeae in crypto!!! on: December 18, 2016, 03:34:20 PM
this year was great mostly because of Ethereum pumps, because it started early this year and the hype was amazing which lead to one of the biggest pumps of all times that i have seen and enjoyed.

and lets not forget about the big Monero rise which happened not so long ago which made us so much profit.

and as always bitcoin has been performing perfectly and lots of profit was there.

all these small coins people say here were also good for a short term pump and dump accumulating to a big profit over all this year.

Quote
“The story is one of essentially gridlock amongst core developers, while mainstream companies are using this technology,We’ve been deeply frustrated with that lack of progress, and we want to move it forward.”

Can't say I blame him.  If any company were to be run like Bitcoin is run with 'consensus' as a guiding light, it'd be an absolute recipe for failure.  Just like Bitcoin's failure.  Two years post Hearn and no progress whatever.  Only thing we've done in two years is fight like hell.

there are so many different businesses running while using bitcoin and they are more successful than you or circle CEO can ever imagine, there are even similar services as circle's rival that are more successful that them. the fact that they couldn't run a businesses is on their own head not on bitcoin.
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 50 Dollars a Day! on: December 17, 2016, 12:52:35 PM
if it was possible to make $50 a day with gambling nobody would have ever worked in their lives again, everyone would be gambling and making a living from it all day long.

and besides if there was a 0.0....001% chance that such strategy existed, nobody is going to share it online for free. and they wouldn't have any reason for selling it either.
2744  Economy / Speculation / Re: touch down to 800$ is near on: December 17, 2016, 12:45:56 PM
We can expect more than 900$ until 2017

we are hoping for that and then some more, but come on dude lets be real here. 2017 is only 13-14 days away and there is no way in hell price can go up $120-$130 in this short period unless we hear some crazy news like block size going up in the next 5 days or China announcing bitcoin as their official fiat.Cheesy
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Virtacoin( VTA ) on: December 17, 2016, 12:39:44 PM
didn't VTA have some sort of blockchain problem, i think it was an attack or some bug exploit?
i am not really following this coin, i just saw the warning on my exchange wallet giving me warning about not depositing.
2746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Info needed about Signature & Avatar Campaign rewards on: December 17, 2016, 12:34:53 PM
where i can received this token ? do I need to install every wallet client for each coin in order to receive the token?

if the altcoin is not yet released (like the new ones) then you have to wait until there is a wallet then install it and then sync (by downloading its blockchain) and receive your payment.

or if it is a released altcoin already available on an exchange you can go there and make an address and receive your payment.

for more information ask your signature manager or ask the coin developers.

Quote
after that what I can do with this token? sell or hold them!

this is an speculation matter. so it is up to your own judgment to hold or sell that coin when you receive it.

Quote
what is wisdom way to handle them? your suggestions highly appreciated.

see if there is any future to that coin and see if there is a pump on the way or not, then wait for the pump and sell and if you didn't see it just dump as soon as you get it.

again it is up to your judgment. it is all speculation.
2747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moment of silence for Ethereum please.... on: December 17, 2016, 12:29:20 PM
Wonder what would happen if Ethereum was to announce it was not gonna go pos coin and stay
pow coin?

Would that stop the slide?

I think this would help the price stop the bleeding for some thing and regain some trust because some people believe that going POS is a way the Ethereum foundation want to centralise their project

it really doesn't matter what people think about POS and whether they like it more or not, what is going to happen is probably a big hype and then followed up by a big pump.

and it has already happened for so much less for example in other altcoins just by releasing a new wallet version price was pumped!
2748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: December 17, 2016, 12:24:03 PM
Bitcoin has a tax even we are just making an transaction or sending to another person already had a tax even if we are converating our bitcoin into fiat money it always be a tax, But if goverment will impose tax on bitcoin then they need to create there own blockchain lmao.
even government make their own blockchain the transaction fee will not go to their's , it will go to miners they cant just steal the transaction fee like that they need to create their own altcoin in order to do that.

if the government some day decided to make their own coin with a new blockchain (a government controlled altcoin) be sure that they will never allow anyone other than themselves (or the banks) be able to mine it and it surely will be a closed source coin.
2749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone please help me to understand the shitcoin pump and dump... on: December 16, 2016, 04:05:45 PM
It's all manipulation by a few groups of traders, you need to stay away from trading altcoins at all cost.
Unless you'd like to lose your money, seeing trades takes place in exchanges doesn't mean they are legit and you can profit all the time like trading bitcoin.

Actually a manipulation came from the devs itself especially those newly launched coins at ICO. The big whales are just part of the manipulation but the main came from the devs which holds lots of coins. In that way they can create a panic and the result, a big profit. If ever the coin isn't be hooked some of traders then they will stop the development then that coin will now be a shit one. Easy money just need some efforts.

But don't take this statement seriously, it's just my speculation that is near from the reality in the world of altcoin trading.

this is one of the reasons why they ask for ICO in the first place. developing an altcoin is not really a hard job these days that they need investment pre release!

they take all that money and use to create walls depending on where they want to push the price.

and people are still looking for new ICOs to invest in!!
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: December 16, 2016, 03:44:08 PM
Yes, this makes me curious, with a large marketcap but the price movements such as dead. I don't know, until when, if like this continue, I am sure will be left by the user.

look at the "volumes" next time you visited wherever you saw the price and it looked dead then you'll understand why it is a sleeping giant. then look up accumulation in trading terminology if you got the time.

and then also zoom out of that chart that you are checking and you see another reason why people call it sleeping giant.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOT Upgrading to SegWit who's with me?! on: December 16, 2016, 03:39:26 PM
Can someone point me to thread or article about this segwit that would enlighten me on what the hell is going on. I'm just a plain bitcoin user, how will this affect me?

there are articles on bitcoincore.org about segwit that may interest you to know what is generally going on like this: https://bitcoincore.org/en/2016/01/26/segwit-benefits/

but as for other resources that may argue both pros and also cons of segwit and also is not biased i have not seen anything worth mentioning.

Thanks! Will read on it and see what I can find out about it. Reading here, I would assume that bitcoin's usage (how we use it) could be affected by some decision of people. I was under the impression before that bitcoin is already unchangeable and fixed already until forever. Well, I hope this enlightens me.

no problem.
about usage i have to say, i don't see it changing a lot because i believe that (just my opinion) more than 80% of people are only investing in bitcoin and only trading it and that 20% are mostly gambling with it and use it a little as currency.

about the change i have to say bitcoin has changed a lot since it was first released. we are using something a lot different than what satishi introduced to us.
2752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My 2017 predictions on: December 16, 2016, 03:33:44 PM
Here are some altcoins that I think it could be a good move to have in 2017. It would be nice to recheck in say, 3 months (march 2017) what is my success rate. I will explain how I would distribute in % of holding I would go. (So for example, I have 1000$ to invest, if I say I would go 10% on this one, then it's 100$)
Thanks for sharing all this with us too. i'll try to say my opinion on each, hope it is helpful.

Quote
1) ETH
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.01 BTC  or 7,90$
Yes ETH price dropped a lot, but it seems now that the drop is over. It could go back to 1 000 000 000$ marketcap but of course I'm not all in for this one. Let's say 20%

i believe ETH price drop was mostly because of the bitcoin price rise which has always meant people cashing out of altcoin market and going back to bitcoin which has always been the go-to coin hence the future of ETH price depends on the near future of bitcoin price, for example if in the next month (Jan) we see $850+ and continue rising i expect ETH to go down to $5

also if bitcoin stops rising and we see Jan to be an stable price like before on 770 is price  altcoins would start moving again and ETH can see another pump and we know those pumps have always been big.

Quote
2) Bitcoin
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 783$
Not that much to say, it's the king and since the halving in july 2016 that price is still rising slowly, but I don't expect it to double, so a safe bet. Another 20%

it has already doubled a couple of times, check out last year price. and people like me who bought at $200 have more than triple Smiley

Quote
3) Monero
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.0108 BTC  or 8,48$
Stay solid at over 100 000 000$ marketcap, could go easy to 150 000 000$ marketcap again. Another 20%

i am expecting another period of rising price for this coin again in new year because anonymity is becoming more and more popular.
and monero is getting more famous in darknet.

Quote
4) Blackcoin (BLK)
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.00003396 BTC  or 0.0266$
This one is a different strategy. It seems to always oscillate between 2 000 000$ and 3 000 000$ marketcap. So right now it's time to buy and watch when a pump occur and then resell for profit (just before 3 000 000$) Another 20%

This is one of those coins that i have been watching and waiting for its rise but it is taking too long, but the only thing that makes me still hopeful is that it has always have big pumps and it can be a lot bigger than 20%

Quote
5) ESPERS (ESP2)
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.00000055 LTC  or 0.000001996$
Ok this one is more for a homerun or nothing. It cost nothing, so risk is very low. If it gains attention it will enter BTC market and more exchange. So an easy X10 on this one if this occurs. so 10%
got not much to say here!
Quote
6) Litecoin LTC
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.004633 BTC  or 3.63$
Not that much to say, it's the alt that bring them all, seems like it ain't dead. so 10%

one word: China
wait for the big ass pump soon.

Quote
20% in ETH so 25.3165 ETH
20% in BTC so 0.2554 BTC
20% in XMR so 23.58 XMR
20% in BLK so 7518 BLK
10% in ESP2 so 50 100 200 ESP2
10% in LTC so 27.54 LTC

lets see how much we are right, i have also already made investments in LTC, ETH and BLK but my percentages are 80% BTC and the rest in altcoins Cheesy
p.s. waiting for a good time to enter XMR

2754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: San Francisco Metro System Hacked with Ransomware [Paid $70,000 in Bitcoin] on: December 15, 2016, 02:01:38 PM
Very effective anti-virus packages are available for as little as $10 (purchased one just last month from Amazon). Yet, the San Francisco Metro decided that they are too expensive. I guess now they are too happy to pay 7,000x that amount.

no amount of antivirus protection can protect against all the attacks and when it comes to a system with many people accessing it, the problem becomes bigger. because when you are the only user of a computer you can always be careful about what you do but when multiple people have access only one person is enough to be targeted for the infection it can be an email or other methods the hackers use to infect the whole system through an idiotic employee.
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice To Earn Or For Fun? on: December 15, 2016, 01:54:59 PM
dice is only for fun and nothing else, and that is only if you can have fun with that type of game. because this game has a house edge and no matter what strategy i have ever used on this game, nothing ever works and all of them end up same place: a long losing streak that leads to my bankroll empty.
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Speculation Thread (Charts and Analysis Included ;)) on: December 15, 2016, 01:49:10 PM
ETC/BTC:  Happy Days Ahead?

I have two simple questions for the experts in this forum.  Is this a break out and a start of an uptrend?  And will this uptrend be as huge as ETH's was months ago?

Please comment below and tell us what you think.

smart money is in, now let the dumb money join them at the top (IMO further up)

haha, that is true.
but i have been doing some experiments lately (not a long time) with trading during these pumps. and my strategy is to get in during th rise preferably before the top and do some short trades on the way up for some profit, and i have been successful so far, although the length of the time that i am doing this is not long enough to say anything certain about this method but i am happy so far with it.
2757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many of you are investing in chronobank ico? on: December 15, 2016, 01:40:56 PM
i am never a fan of investing in ICOs in general. and checking this one out, it seems to be mostly duplicate of what already exists with a bit more complications and mostly hyped up. so no.

and even if i wanted to do it, seeing shill posts like the one posted with a brand new throwaway account above my comment throw me off!
2758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Bitcoin price ever drop back down to $500? on: December 14, 2016, 02:27:42 PM
Bitcoin is now experiencing development and current prices continue to rise so it is very profitable. But bitcoin prices always fluctuate, and we can not guess. I'm sure the bitcoin price will drop probably around 500 - 600. That's because the market price may not always go up, there was a time when the market price will drop. But after that the price will go up again higher, and that I think is reasonable.

You already stated above that the price of bitcoin is always fluctuating so that means that dumping to 500$ price is quiet impossible now because it's current price is far from 500$ and i think bitcoin price already passed that price coverage. Only major incident just like bitfinex issue will made the price of bitcoin dump hard again but besides that, i think it is impossible.
Yeah maybe you're right, now the price of bitcoin is improving because many factors that make the prices continue to rise. Especially now that more are using bitcoin thus affecting the price to rise. But the market price may not always go up, there was a time when market prices fall. I think it should be wary, but I agree with you for the current price of bitcoin is still safe.

bitcoin price will rise as long as there are people who have not yet invested in bitcoin, in other words it will rise as long as there is more adoption. (the rise in demand with the same amount of supply which is also decreasing in rate)

and that time you are pointing out in your comment that price were falling was because it was in a bubble, a fake price rise that was big, fast and fake created by pumpers known mostly as mtgox so price must have fell back then.
2759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever exchanged BTC face to face? on: December 14, 2016, 02:21:39 PM
i didn't see anyone mentioning this so i do it here;
for all of those who are interested in selling bitcoin face to face or have done it already i suggest reading this article story about a guy who was robbed in New York at gun point after he sells bitcoin to a shady person face to face:
http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-stolen-new-york-gunpoint-robbery/

and this is not the only one you can search for more stories that has happened so far:
https://www.google.com/search?q=bitcoin+seller+robbed+at+gunpoint

so be careful and try doing the trade in a public place or even a police station and if it was possible take someone with you.
2760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Steem dump again... on: December 14, 2016, 02:17:11 PM
what did you expect?
a bad coin with bad strategy and lots of coin floating around in the market and all those free money giveaways and the dumps, or have we forgotten about that.

there was a time when everyone was talking about steem on this board and how they are going to get rich but they we all dumping in silence.
