2741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get free bitcoin? on: June 20, 2015, 06:39:41 PM
I miss the days when faucets put out much more sats

i remember one of the faucets used to give out ~5 BTC a claim back when bitcoin was much, much cheaper. now its just a couple thousand satoshi at the most, but people still think faucets will actually make you money.
2742  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: June 20, 2015, 09:22:25 AM
so does it basically come down to who can provide a signed message from an address posted further back in time? in the case of the recently posted address for instance.

it is a proof of ownership, if a seller can prove that he own the account, then the buyer is safe for the possible retrieval attempt

Consider this hypothetical: An account is dormant for a few months. It is hacked, the hacker posts an address, and then sells it a couple months later. The account is then recovered by the original owner, who can sign a message from a post made a year ago.

but what if the hacker, deleting posts containing addresses many years ago, and then he made a new post adress and as if it was indeed her account?

Mind=blown. Well not really, but sort of. This never even occurred to me. I guess the ideal is to have a signed message from an address posted really far back.... a year or more, depending on he account rank. That would make this pretty unlikely.

can the mods/admins recover the posts to whatever they were before they were edited? if so this wouldnt be as effective in the case of a through examination, if not, thats an incredibly through way to take ownership of an account.
2743  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bitcoin forum acc? on: June 20, 2015, 09:05:51 AM
If you want to get a decent Hero member don't listen to the guys above who thinks 0.4btc will work because it won't lol For that price you are getting a rubbish hero which has no doubt been banned and more than likely doesn't have a signed message to prove ownership. You will be looking at about 0.65-0.8+ for a nice Hero account and 1btc- 1.5btc+ for a nice Legendary account.

the prices can vary a lot depending on post quality, previous bans, etc. accounts are only worth what people are willing to pay for them. right now, theres plenty of accounts being sold and not a lot of accounts being bought, so theyre relatively cheap for the time being.
2744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get Bitcoins other than mining and faucets on: June 20, 2015, 05:19:04 AM
Just search the Beginners section on how you can earn coins.

Plenty of advice and suggestions in these similar threads so have a read through them:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=985550.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1077490.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1070552.0

i almost feel like some of this info should be compiled and sticked in this section, way too many threads asking how to earn bitcoin.

heres a nice workaround: go to gyft and buy a subway/CVS giftcard with bitcoin, and you can redeem those gift cards for RP through the client itself:
2746  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] full member account with more potential activity on: June 19, 2015, 11:37:24 PM
Signed message available? No untrusted feedback?

no signed message available since I got the account because the original owner defaulted on their loan. 0 feedback on the account, completely neutral.
2747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 19, 2015, 10:14:28 PM
Gambling can never fix your life. Instead it will wreak and leave you devastate.

Someday you might win big but in the long run you will end up broke and lose all your money.

Remember the house edge always win no matter what.

If you are the owner of a casino then thats a different story btw.

I dont agree at all, Gambling fixed the life of the Casino Owners and Investors they are continuously getting income it may be also for a life time, imagine that getting money without even breaking a sweat  Smiley

There are also situations that gambling fixes a life of a gambler, like for instance the lottery winners bet small and they won like a tons of cash but those are very few

most of those casino owners already had the funds to back their casino anyways, dont think their loves really needed fixing. lets take stunna for example; he can take a 2000 BTC loss from hufflepuff and its fine, hes still got plenty of money to keep PD running.

If I give you my account, is it possible for me to change password? I use this password for many things and dont really like giving it out :/

using the same password is bad practice, just my 2 cents, and of course you can change the password before sending it over (id encourage you to do so), preferably to something random like 09qd3oiwmfelsnf. if you like, an escrow service can be contacted to secure your account for the duration of the loan as well.

signed message verified.
2751  Economy / Lending / Re: low rate loans on: June 19, 2015, 09:21:31 PM
PM me immediately if you need.

you should keep all loans public so other people can warn you/leave negative feedback if need be. private loans tend to become donations more often than not.
2752  Economy / Lending / Re: ☆★☆ subSTRATA's loans, SHORT TERM [NO COLLATERAL/COLLATERAL] on: June 19, 2015, 09:06:36 PM
Hi subSTRATA,

I am wondering if you can help me out.

Loan Amount : 0.033 btc (Pay back 0.055 btc)
Reason         : Looking to make a payment for some webhosting. I have funds in my Bank Current Account (to cover anything borrowed) But I currently have $19 in Bitcoin and it feels a shame to not use it for this.
BTC Address  : 16qJSuxvSMbRa5FBYkybf6y2ogGv4Xdejh
Term Length  : 3 days max - 22/06/2015 (Most likely pay back tomorrow)

Unfortunately, I do not have ANY collateral at this time, apart from physical items worth $400 or more. But I don't think this would be needed for a micro loan.

If you can help, I would really appreciate it, if not then that's fine also, I understand.

regards,

icanscript

if you can provide me a signed message from this address

My tip address is: 1JDrMLbttEjLbATpRQDc8sNrLkBh47RWka

and use your account as collateral the loan is yours. sorry but with people defaulting a lot recently i have to take collateral.
2753  Economy / Digital goods / Re: NEW BTC BOT - Make Free BTC Every Hour! NO RISK on: June 19, 2015, 06:17:44 PM
Is avaiable a source code to look into the bot? Please do a list of all supported websites/faucets

this right here. before I see some source code im inclined to believe youre selling malware, especially since youre posting this offer form a new account.
2754  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aahzmundus scammer on: June 19, 2015, 05:59:57 PM
What the hell? Why an FIR for selling an account? I seriously didn't know if account was hacked or not. I bought it for 0.2 BTC. I am nowhere related to hacking that account. Please don't do this to me. I am just a kid and haven't scammed him. I did pay back 1 BTC to robinson. Please don't do this. I need to study. Please forgive me. Cry

you getting to repay just one of the people youve scammed is too much of a get out of jail free card imo, im all for filing a FIR. take it as a life lesson.

edit @hilariousandco I think it was just him and hensi doing most/all of the scamming, not much evidence for any of the others being involved.

2757  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aahzmundus scammer on: June 19, 2015, 09:43:24 AM
I am going to register a FIR with the help of BTCBLOGGER and I am giving him 5 BTC for this work and more when you got the punishment. I will spend my money only to send you to jail. so in future you don't even think about doing a scam. I will also find each and every person scammed by you are help him to get there money back also. I have your  address as well as your phone number.

I don't know why this wasn't done earlier, kid needs to learn a lesson, not get a slap on the wrist. I expect a news article I this subject soon, hopefully. also, props to btcblogger again, you got paid extremely well for your efforts.
2758  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WATERFUNK SCAM on: June 19, 2015, 09:23:24 AM
I paid him via. PayPal bro

I made the dispute. Any chances of getting back?

Also What escrow to use for the PayPal? (All I see here is for the BTC stuff)

well you should've mentioned that you used paypal in the op. given that paypal's policies for digital items are garbage, there's about a 99% chance that the chargeback will be successful, just make sure to mention you did not get what you paid for. paypal sucks.
2759  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bots vs. Humans - What's better for a signature campaign? on: June 19, 2015, 09:09:58 AM
Bots can easily be manipulated

biggest and most apparent fault to using a bot for counting posts; there was a thread about the coinomat campaign being 'scammed' by some users somewhere, but it really demonstrates how big of a fault that is for bots. humans on the other hand, wouldn't be restricted by the rules a bot will follow.
2760  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WATERFUNK SCAM on: June 19, 2015, 09:04:21 AM
Thanks for the reply. What should I do to get money back here?

nothing really; you got yourself scammed here, and all you have is the guy's Skype, and he can easily make a new one. count your losses and move on.
