2741  Economy / Economics / Re: Founders of South African Bitcoin exchange disappear after $3.6 billion 'hack' on: July 02, 2021, 12:57:20 PM
There's no reason for him to disappear if he did not do anything wrong, the hack might be an inside job. Honestly, I didn't hear anything about this news, maybe it's not big news in crypto as it could have resulted in a market dump since FUDDERS will come and play.

$3.6 billion is huge money, but one would not be able to enjoy that if the authorities are going after him.
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: another bullrun before 2021 ends on: July 02, 2021, 12:14:58 PM
Well, I think it's not impossible, but logically jumping to 80k USD there's not enough fundamentals and reasons, but technically the current price of BTC doesn't have much fundamentals either. The BTC would need some new factor to have this strong valuation, especially to reach 120k USD. Unfortunately, while the BTC is undefined in its price floor, Altcoins suffer and don't follow the bull market, just some random projects, but for the most part what we see is just the BTC shining.

When there's hype, it doesn't need a fundamentals for bitcoin to rise that high, anything is possible but it's easier to determine the price movement after the bull run, and since we have already experience the bull run this year, I doubt if we will still see it again this year.
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 02, 2021, 11:35:44 AM
Bucks won!

1 more win to Bucks and here they go, welcome to the finals!!

Bucks vs PHX in the finals? hmm, not so quick, there's still a few games left for Bucks and Hawks.
No Giannis, No problem because they got the victory and are up 3-2.
Its good to see the adjustments of the Bucks team. They know that Middleton's performance is a roller coaster that is why they just spread the scores to many players and we saw 4 players in double digit figures.

Now the Bucks are 1 win away from going to the NBA Finals but still, the Hawks have a chance since this series is far from over and I know that the Bucks team are thinking the same way. No time to be complacent because they need to win one more. I'm quite curious into how Trae and Giannis's health will be in Game 6. Will one of them play or both of them will not play Cheesy.

Their defense was better so they got a good ball movement and won the game. Brook Lopez had a wonderful game, he was providing both balance offense and defense and this is what the Bucks needed to finish the Hawks in 6, max is in 7 of course.
2744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 01, 2021, 09:26:14 PM
Game: BUCKS VS HAWKS GAME 5.

We know that Giannis is out in this game and Trae Young is doubtful. My analysis is on the Bucks, with the line movement I'm thinking that the Bucks would win this particular game. It's time for them to prove that as a team they can win even without Giannis and this is the most important game for them.

Therefore, I'm backing the Bucks to win and take the lead on the series.

My pick is Bucks -3. GL!

And it is their home-court advantage, so maybe the Bucks will sure do quite well, but game 4 without Trae Young sure had shown that the Hawks can play well even without Young, and I think the Bucks should consider this aswell and not make a mistake in underestimating them, and the lost of Giannis would sure consider them to take double measure in giving their all in this game,

I really want the Bucks to win this one aswell, but looking at the performance of the Hawks on game 4 does get me the doubt that they can do it without Giannis Antetokounmpo, I really wish that Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton is enough in winning the game 5.

We doubt the Hawks would win in game 4, but they did win and even dominated the game, there's plenty of surprises in the playoffs and we might see that surprise again tonight which is actually not a big surprise since the Bucks are still the favorites even without Giannis. If you believe in the Bucks, you'll bet on them now since they have the advantage to be playing at home, if they loss, then call it a "series over".
2745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does implementing a tax on a gambling platform really help a country? on: July 01, 2021, 08:55:59 PM

-Why it wouldnt help? Of course on where tax does play a great role when it comes to countries development.
-I do only see Pro's on where development and progress would be there but only if those taxes had been used on the right way and wouldnt be corrupted or stolen.
-Percentage will vary because not all government would be having the same jurisdiction when it comes to this.
-House might really be showing off some increase since they had been asked for more bigger taxes but for sure it wouldnt really be that noticeable at all.

just like any other business, they should also be taxed. maybe the only bit of difference is that the amount collected from gambling businesses is quite large as compared to other businesses. that is because some of them are really raking good money esp if there's too much foot traffic in that area. now, it depends on the government how they want to get money from this type of business. definitely, both camps will agree to whatever percentage the govt wants. otherwise, the gambling site will not thrive and that is also not good from the govt, because they will lose their income from them.

Upon the determination of the government on which platform to tax, it evaluates each business on whether they are profitable or liquid enough that the cashflow is steady enough. Unfortunately, they targeted online gambling platforms since the income that these businesses earn per year is just mind-blowing compared to any other businesses.

As we all know, tax is the lifeblood of the government since it allows them to spend for future projects, etc. But the taxing power must be exercised with discretion because it also has the power to destroy- high taxes can potentially cripple a business.

No government that is concerned with its economy will put lavish taxes on any business, they have to ensure that the business could still operate profitably with taxes, otherwise, the tax is just created to kill the business and the revenue would only be temporary. This business industry is huge, if they don't get fair treatment in terms of taxes, they will operate overseas where taxes are reasonable.
2746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: July 01, 2021, 09:51:53 AM

If this fight will be cancelled then for sure there is only one reason and that is they did not meet the attraction they want and lures no support from the boxing community.

This fight will gain attraction, the reason was very clear, Donaire cools off the fight because he believes he and his family got disrespected.

Now, there's a lot of challenge on Donaire, even Rigo challenge him, and said no trash talk, just pure fight.
Both Rigo and Inoue beat him, I think he will not win in a rematch, he just wants more money here.
2747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 01, 2021, 09:19:35 AM
Man, what a terrific way to close out the series with a big blow out. CP3 playing as usual the Point God. First finals appearance for most of the Phoenix Suns players, and they're the only team who hasn't suffered major injuries. So, there's a huge chance for them to win it all this post season.
CP3 did really took over in the game, he doesn't want to bring the series into game 7.
I don't see the explosiveness of Paul George in this game, he wasn't as aggressive as he was in the last game, so we can really tell that the Suns are more hungry to win than the Clippers.

I remember just before the playoffs began, a specific betting website offered $1,000 win for a $100 bet If the Suns win the championship this playoffs. I forget what website was that.
I'm wondering how many people have actually put a bet on that offer lol.

I guess this is true, but that was before the playoffs. Now the odds of the suns to win the NBA Finals is only $100 to win less than $100.
2748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: June 30, 2021, 01:39:12 PM

Sean Gibbons, Manny Pacquiao's handler said that the fight will continue as plan. He even told in an interview that Pacquiao will be in the US by July to train with fame Freddy Roach for the Spence fight.

But we all know boxing politics, every one has a price, so if they indeed settle this lawsuit out of the court then the fight can proceed by August. Pacquiao wanted to pursue this fight, so we can't really say that it's time for him to hang up his gloves and retire for good and let the young bloods take over the boxing scene. If Floyd can still relevant with exhibition matches, then Manny can do it with real fights.

That lawsuit will not actually stop the fight, it has nothing to do with the fight so the fight will continue while Manny still has to face the lawsuit, however, it's not necessary that he will face it now, he will have to focus on his fight then he will face the lawsuit.

Regardless of the result of the Spence vs Manny fight, he will still make money and there's no doubt he can pay the damages demanded by the suing party.
2749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 30, 2021, 12:20:05 PM

They need to comes up with everything that they've got. it's an opportunities to help as the team needed it so badly, without your main man the team needs to work together and try all the best that they can give to stay in this series.

And it's true, that mental contribution even he (Trae) is not playing but by him beside the bench and help the coach to create strategy that's already  counts, trusting all your buddies to play and cheer them up not to give up and continue their run.

looks like the Atlanta Hawks have revised their strategy and it works well since they beat the Bucks with huge points to send a thrilling game 5 to the Milwaukee Bucks home court again. This is kind of the game we are talking about and it is happening right now where both teams won't just give up the series until they give everythi9ng they've got and looks like the Western Conference Finals will be the same in their next match.

Bucks did not see it coming, they thought it would be easy for them because Trae Young did not play, but they are wrong, the Hawks are much better in this game as the shooters are scoring and even their rookie are contributing pretty well. The 3 point shooting was a major weapon of the Hawks in this game, they look so unmatch in papers but they are actually hard to beat in real game.
2750  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: June 29, 2021, 01:47:06 PM
Im proud of India and its people, although at the beginning of the handling of covid there was chaos, but now it is better.  Compared to my country, which is still trying to vaccinate, the people prefer herd stupidity over herd immunity.  They even think that covid is just a conspiracy and does not exist and is not dangerous.  In fact the case of death is very real.

Even in India, there is a lot of propaganda going on against vaccination. I can show you my WhatsApp account, and it is full of spam audio messages which claim that vaccinated people are likely to die soon and they will become impotent. Unfortunately, a lot of people (mostly the illiterate ones) believe that these rumors are true and they refuse to get themselves vaccinated. And forget about India and the other third world nations. Even in developed nations such as the United States you will find large number of people who believe in such rumors.

You can't blame them, the virus is deadly but the vaccine is more deadly if it's not really proven it will prevent someone from getting infected with the virus. Some maybe can tolerate the virus, so they would prefer not to get vaccinated, but if the government will make it a law that everyone should get their vaccine, then there's no excuse for people not to get vaccinated.
2751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 29, 2021, 01:39:05 PM

Donaire has become a coward due to trash-talking of Casimero, but it was them who criticize Casimero's English, but if this fight will not happen, then bad for Donaire as Inoue is a tough fighter to crack, he knows that for sure.

That's the issue now, and it looks like the fans are in favor of Casimero because a simple trash talk would make him demand in this fight as if he is making an excuse to delay it until it will not happen anymore. It's hard to tell what would happen but the way I see it, this mega-fight might not happen.

Maybe we will see first a Donaire vs Inoue rematch, then Inoue vs Casimero.
2752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Nakatani June 26 on: June 28, 2021, 09:04:51 PM

P.S. I agree to what people say - it is early for a rematch against Lopez. And Lopez probably must fight agaist obligatory contender first.
All the boxing fans wants to see that rematch and it will be a huge one without a doubt.

We all want to see a great fight, and this rematch would be great for boxing.

It's too early anyway as we are just like disrespecting the opponent of Lopez in his fight, let him finish that business first and then we will talk about the rematch. I believe Lomachenko now is fully healthy, so no more excuses for him if he will lose again in this rematch, but a big excuse if Lopez would not allow him to rematch.
2753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 28, 2021, 08:51:46 PM

There's an ongoing issue about the fight regarding Casimero avoided a drug-testing procedure of VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency). Just for anyone's information, complying with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) is a must as it ensures that both fighters are not using any anti-doping practices and programs in boxing and mixed martial arts.

I don't how it became a big issue since for transparency, both fighters can just comply with that so no issues will be raised. Casimero's camp are surely aware of that.

Following the progress with that issue.

It's a requirement, Casimero's camp has to submit on it, otherwise, their reputation will be tarnish. I'm hearing this drug testing again, how is it different from before when Manny was asked to underdog a drug testing during his fight with Mayweather?
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fully vaccinated individuals now spared of masks in the casinos in Vegas on: June 25, 2021, 09:24:17 PM
~snip~
But we can't stop people from removing it and if they're allowed, they'll for sure remove it as what the state says. But as an individual of taking yourself, you know what to do.
^ Because people are depending on the government policies towards covid 19 protocol, if the authorities did not strict about wearing a mask, for sure a lot of people removing it. We can't blame if some people are hard-headed upon wearing a mask because in my country the reason they wore masks is just that they are afraid of the authorities that strictly implemented safety protocol. How much more if those people are fully vaccinated, they are free what they want to do because thinking that they are shielded from the virus is the wrong perspective, and gathering place like the casino is very prone for the virus to spread since it is a cold place which is the virus is actively moving.
People do rely on the government, they want the government to provide them during the situation, and it will not help the government since they have limited funds only, that's something that we don't realize. There's a restriction for a reason, and we have to follow it not only to help ourselves but all people that may suffer the disease because of our negligence. The government campaign now is very simple, make everyone vaccinated so the economy will recover as it will make everything back to normal.
2755  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: June 25, 2021, 08:39:28 PM
One of the best things COVID forced society to do is incorporate modern technology, in my opinion. I'm pleased that the majority of us are now adopting technology and applying it to ourselves since it makes things so much easier. For example, when it comes to payment systems via digital payment platforms, I've noticed that most of us, including the government, are now using mobile applications to assist our citizens.

Another thing I've noticed is that social media platforms are now being used to start businesses and earn enough money to make a decent living. Last but not least, people are becoming more interested in cryptocurrencies as they discover that they may make money by investing in it. Many users are now aware of bitcoin's enormous potential and can be used in different applications such as payment method.

Thank God COVID-19 is not a person, or it could be running for the President of the World, and could win - so many people are grateful to it. Smiley

But, if seriously, COVID indeed advanced the world into the future, same way as other terrible events from the past did. We shouldn't praise COVID for that, though. Rather we should praise humanity for the ability of turning such horrible things into its advantage.
Lol, Covid is a catalyst but not everything. Covid is not an entity that needs to be cheered but as it has added a big niche for the world to realize what is the future, what is a recession, what needs to be eliminated, they can print money to fight it. facts about bitcoin or crypto. But it has been an inexcusable fact of contemporary economic wretchedness under the pressure of paper money.

We will certainly feel the effect of the government's printing money, this centralized world will become worst in the future as taxes will skyrocket due to big loans and hyperinflation. This covid-19 is just a test in the water, the government was successful in their plans, so it would be easy for them to manipulate us, what do we expect, we are in a centralized world, so we have to deal with it.
2756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: June 25, 2021, 08:25:45 PM
Yes, you shouldn't be surprised when they ask but most of them too are not really pushing that as long as the user is clean. And those users that have been asked for it.

Gambling sites just asked for additional KYC for big withdrawals or alarming winnings. In that case, users just have to be true to themselves.

KYC is just for the account's unique profile so that in case of attempted big withdrawals, it can't be allowed easily if the account was hacked and the only one who can withdraw that is the original user.

Another one if the account has an unusual activity. That is subject to account fraud and KYC might be imposed on that account.

It's the site that will determine that, and we just have to comply with the requirements. I guess we should be ready whenever there's a KYC requirement as it would really happen anytime to see especially if we got big winnings and if it already triggers their mandatory KYC rules for such. I know we want to maintain the anonymity regardless of the amount we are gambling, or transacting, but things have change, as the crypto space becomes more regulated, this policy is becoming a basic requirement.
2757  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China's crackdown on Bitcoin cause Bitcoin to become worthless? on: June 25, 2021, 01:34:49 PM
It may be like that initially, people are only worrying and assume that China's policy is the main influence. However Bitcoin is a form of economic revolution desired by many people, China must really make something new more innovative and can change the attraction.

China can only ban but it can't stop. In the end Bitcoin enthusiasts will get used to it without China's role.

Exactly, people tend not to realized that the crypto does not evolve in China, yes, they have the biggest miners but crypto will continue to exist without them, and it's easy for the big miners to relocate and look for a location to continue their operation. The problem is, we are spreading FUD so people got panic.
2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does implementing a tax on a gambling platform really help a country? on: June 25, 2021, 11:52:37 AM
If they are not helping the economy of a country where they are operating, then it's no use giving them license and permission, gambling casinos taxes are a big help to any country's economy they pay big taxes and they employ a lot of people, although they have bad effects for people the huge revenues from the taxes are big advantages for any country, they have to ignore the disadvantages.

The government would not allow them to operate or give them a license if they believe there is a bad effect on the people. Using it as a general statement is wrong, because the reality is, it has only bad effects on irresponsible people.
2759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: June 25, 2021, 11:30:09 AM
In my opinion, BNB has a possibility to become the king of all coins but it is extremely low because  Bitcoin is the base of cryptocurrency so if the market pumps so the BTC is. The market have the big change of price when it comes to bitcoin. BNB is still too young to get the throne BtC i guess just because it pumps a lot in the trends in the market.
Yes, it still takes a long time and development to be able to make BNB the king, maybe the first step is to become the king of altcoins shifting ETH's position, if bnb wants to shift the position of btc it's still too heavy because the market focus will always belong to btc, but all possibilities can what happens to the crypto market, we'll see what surprises Bnb will show us.
That's more possible than becoming the number 1 and dethroning Bitcoin. There will be more altcoins to come, but I believe it will never pose a threat on bitcoin, instead, it will make the market bigger and successful while bitcoin remains at the top. BNB might struggle, who knows, the real competition is in the altcoins market, not on the bitcoin vs altcoins.
2760  Economy / Economics / Re: holding bitcoin from early 2010 till today on: June 25, 2021, 09:42:02 AM
from the past until now I think it's only a small part, I think more people have sold it and done various other activities in the crypto world instead of holding it, of course it's not just investing or holding back.. there are more and more projects and businesses that are being run that continue to be developed from time to time with bitcoin/crypto.
From 2016, we already experience two bull runs, 1 in 2017, and the other is in 2021 or this year, I'm sure a lot of holders are already tempted to sell because the price has significantly increases. It is a great idea but I would salute those who still hold 100% of their holdings until now as they are the real holder.
