Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?
I have lost quite an amount but little compared to what others have lost but its completely no one fault because its through gambling too so I know what I am entering into and I bet what I can afford to lose. Although painful but I have moved pass that though...
2742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2016, 09:20:21 AM
I've made quite some posts and read even more threads. Which made me think about the combination of Bitcoin and Gambling.

Is it ok to gamble with bitcoin? Last year we've seen a lot of scams and 'hacks'. Fact is that most of them are either made up by the devs or done by scammers whom use bitcoin's anonimity.

Pro
Let's be honest, Gambling is fun, but Bitcoin it is also very easy?

Con
Look at some dice sites, cloud mining sites that ust dissapeared with consumers money.

Since it is about money I am interested in your opintion, Is the combination of gambling and Bitcoin good?
I would say one needs the other in other to flourish in the sense that Bitcoin needs gambling in other increase its rekavance and popularity because that's good business, gambling on the other hand needs bitcoin to do business because its own clients wants a currency that does not involve greater amount of regulations to do business... My opinion though...
2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of online gambling? on: August 07, 2016, 07:37:07 AM

i think yes , because through btc gambling there is no taxation and anyone of any age can play the game of gambling because it is online money and online market . so i think in the future the bitcoin can be a great platform for the gambling in online market .
In my own opinion though I think yes because the acceptance of Bitcoin in online gambling is getting universal and the wallet providers are equally doing enough to make that possible. All I see as a barrier to all thast is the issue of security firewalls to be put in place to protect the investment of the population and also increase the trust we have in Bitcoin...
2744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling worth playing? on: August 07, 2016, 07:18:25 AM
Everyday my friend gambles with his money as same with his life and he always gambling throwing away his money for nothing but losing and the worth part of it is he owes me money  Angry Angry
I would say gambling to those who can manage it worth it, I.e those who gamble what they can afford to lose but this is clearly not the case of your friend as he is not managing is own gambling case very well and what I can observe is that what keeps him going is revenge as this has also been affecting his judgement so he keeps losing.., my opinion though...

Hi Friends
I Want to Know That Investing in Casino Bankroll is profitable to Invest Money Or It Doesn't Give me Any ROI?Huh??
And Also Tell Me the Risks Involved in Investing in Casino Bankroll?Huh

Also Suggest Me Casinos to Invest Money in their bankrolls?Huh
Guy, there is no investment whatsoever without its risk and the higher the risk, the higher the return even holding Bitcoin without doing anything comes with is own risk of losing value or the price dropping. So if you are ready for bankroll like others have suggested, it comes with the risk of losing if players are favoured with chance but the risk of you making returns is higher than losing...
2746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is double options same as gambling? on: August 07, 2016, 12:58:52 AM
I came across double options in Secondstrade and IDSoption and I was wondering if it's the same as double dice.
In my own opinion, it is absolute gamble because you're not sure of winning just an element of chance and because its from reputable sites on this platform but if its from Hyip that promised to double Bitcoin within some hours without any risk whatsoever, I will say its worse than gambling as the chance of you getting your money invested is Zero to none... My opinion though...
2747  Economy / Gambling / Re: What changes would you make to BitBet.us? on: August 07, 2016, 12:51:12 AM
My team and I are currently in our last phase of development and testing, and are getting ready to release our website!  It is very similar to http://BitBet.us, but with a few improvements!

Our main features/selling points are:
  • Lower Fees
  • Complete and Open Database Structure - you can look at all of our deposits and where the winnings go (to verify that we are trustworthy).

Is there anything else users would like to see in their betting sites?  Are there any bets you would like to see released right at the release date?
I checked out the site but in my opinion, its overloaded with information of the front page, and also the bets are not categorised properly for example, a particular section to politics, or currency, or sports etc also another category for winnings. It also didn't show open bets and closing time for bets just a note on this on in the FAQ section. My opinion though...
2748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Myths and facts about gambling addiction on: August 07, 2016, 12:40:54 AM
Just a reply with a funny joke in my country about the first point of the first OP post.

There was a king son and he began to drink a lot, so worried the people told to the king, he have started drinking a lot and the king replied, its ok no problem.
Then he started going with hookers, so worried the people told to the king, he have started dating hookers, its ok said the king no problem we have a lot of money.
Then he started gambling, so worried the people told to the king, he started gambling. The king replied shocked, stop him or he will make us miserable all.

Moral: You can never become rich with the gambling. End of story.
Lol, but I must appreciate the people of your country because this story actually portrayed my own point of view and also thanks to OP for coming up with this thread from my own point, the ability to put a stop to anything actually lies 90% in the hands of the doer until he makes a decision and ready to stand by it come what may... My opinion though..,
2749  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: August 07, 2016, 12:25:03 AM
It was my little dream to own 21 BTC and today i achieved it after hard work of so long time. Now i want to make my hard work pay me.I mean,i want that these bitcoins work for me someway and grow.Is there bitcoin bank that pays interest? What will you do with 21 BTC? How will you spend it? How will you grow it? Share anything you want that may help me to decide what should i do. Smiley
Me, in my local currency, its big money after first converting into dollar, with that amount I will be certain that my needs are already taken care of and I won't have to worry about my needs in a long time. But how I wish I have that and I have set that target myself...
2750  Other / Off-topic / Re: What can i do with 3 Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2016, 12:16:03 AM
A friend of my want to give me 3BTC and he want me to pay him back 4BTC in 2month 7days but he asked me what will i do with it, how can i turn 3 bitcoin to 4 in 2 month 7days, what is the best investment that can give me good ROI in that short period

So please i ask for your advice
I would say your ability to turn 3btc to 4btc within time frame u suggested is dependent on your atitude to risk because any decision you want to take has its own individual attached risk, because the higher the risk, the higher the return. So if you're a risk taker, you can go for gambling, if you're a moderate risk taker go for bankrolling or trading with experience though but if you're a risk averse person, I will suggest you keep it and hoped the value of Bitcoin today increased to worth 4btc in 2 months... My 2 cents...
2751  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any bot that collects the faucet and gambles for you? on: August 06, 2016, 03:43:42 PM

I know the fact that there is a captcha means they don't want bots but I will ask anyway. I know people do not want this but I will ask anyway. So do not act like I am not aware that owners of dice sites doesn't want this.

 Yet again...

Is there a bot that collects the faucet , gambles for you and hit certain btc and withdraws?
I also wonder if its available because I kind of find it annoying getting to solve capchas or mathematical equations in other to claim satoshis or log into some site as they are guiding against bolts but I find unnecessary until now on this thread but its kind of risky to try them as one could get banned for it
2752  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin will reach $2000 above ? on: August 06, 2016, 07:29:40 AM
today i read full article at fortune, then i see kim dot com tweet about bitcoin

"Nobody will upload to any other cloud after Megaupload's Bitcache goes live. 100 million Bitcache wallets. Bitcoin = $2000+ 2017"
https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/761380995824168960

im sure bitcoin in december 2016 or january 2017 will rach $2000
what do you think about it ?
Anybody anywhere can make a prediction but most times will hold various factors constant but that's where they always get it wring that those factors can never be held constant thereby their prediction failing from reality. However, it will be a too news for me if it comes to reality but what web should ask ourselves is that can we play own part in the theory?... My 2 cents...
2753  Economy / Economics / Re: Florida Judge Rules Bitcoin is Not Money on: August 06, 2016, 07:18:14 AM
http://www.abajournal.com/news/article/judge_rules_bitcoin_isnt_money_tosses_money_laundering_charges/

    The Takeaways
    • Under cover feds buy Bitcoin from defendant, tell him it's so that they can purchase stolen credit cards
    • Feds arrest him for operating an unlicensed Money Services Business (MSB) and money laundering
    • Defense argues that Bitcoin is not money, so he cannot be operating an unlicensed MSB or money laundering
    • Judge ruled Bitcoin is not money and also that the defendant selling his Bitcoin did not constitute money laundering because he had no intention to promote an illegal activity (purchase stolen credit cards)
    • This case is believed to be the first money laundering prosecution involving Bitcoin

In my own opinion, this is a setback to the acceptability of Bitcoin by companies it firms in the world and also give credence to the insinuation that Bitcoin is used by criminals. It will also give government the reason to look into the direction of Bitcoin in order to clamp down on the freedom being enjoyed by the currency. This is not god news at all, it will afffect the relevance that Bitcoin is trying to get... MY opinion though[/list]
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I use my small amount for GAMBLING? on: August 05, 2016, 09:56:51 PM
How am I going to use may small btc? Can somebody hep me to use this in profitable earning here..
Its hard to decide if where can I put the risk.
    Thanks..
Guy, I see you're not a fervent risk taker rather a moderate risk taker but want maximum return but I must tell you it doesn't wait that way because the height the risk the higher the return. Even the experts that you're willing to help you knows its based n chance and will equally put a disclaimer if they are going to accept your offer. On the otherhand, you can equally try to now your coins gradually and hopefully it could get to a level that is encouraging however, it will take time... My 2 cents...
2755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do winning and losing gamblers have different personalities or habits? on: August 05, 2016, 09:23:23 PM
If you compared a large number of losing gamblers to the winning gamblers, would you notice any differences in personality, ability, or habits?

Is it something that we could test people for?

Are there things that we could encourage, reward, or train people to do better that would increase their chances of winning?

In my own opinion, we also need to identify individual attitude to risk with or without gambling because natural attitude to risk will be go a long way in determining whether one will win or not. Another is how emotionally attached individual will be when his interest is in a particular place then that could also influence ability to be objective in making a decision... My 2 cents...
2756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling. on: August 05, 2016, 08:34:26 PM
Hello guys I am addicted to gambling. How can I quit this?
Guy, there are many ways to quit but only if you're ready to quit because no method can work but personal decision to stop is the only saving grace in a situation like this... I wish you all the best in quest to your liberation from gabling... My 2 cents...
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling has killed me (money vanished) on: August 05, 2016, 07:51:03 PM
I registered on a site that plays dice i was using the free bitcoin the gave to me to play the game when i saw that i was successful i invested my own money into it and then my real story begin i was able to make a suitable income and i became greedy not to see the future so i played with all my money in just 10 second of playing that game my money vanished i fell from the chair i was siting to the ground i was not even able to see well for some time because of the shock
Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

So hold your money well and don't be greedy like me

I cannot but laugh but you should know that demo money s not the same as your money as when your money is involved you get emotional about it which most times will affect your decision objectively compared to when its not your money in that case you could be objective and win. Also you forgot the golden rule of betting which is bet what you can afford to lose which you ignore then you became greedy with it...
    2758  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do you have Bitcoin? on: August 05, 2016, 07:33:27 PM
My own personal reason for Bitcoin is to gather enough Bitcoin then convert it to my local currency which is a good amount and because its something I do on the side aside my day job then it will mean extra income to me and I will be a big boy... Lol...

2760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Amazon.com still resisting the use of BTC for payment? on: August 05, 2016, 03:35:25 PM
Is it a business reason? Or perhaps the complexity of bitcoin accounting creating potential issues?

    What do you think?
They will obviously have their reasons which will be valid among which will include the rapid volatility of Bitcoin, as in the rate of change is unpredictable and this is bad for market as additional infrastructure will have to be put in place to effect the changes in volatility and this is additional cost to the firm. Another is the absence of regulation which is another major challenge to them. My opinion though...
