1  Economy / Economics / Re: The European Parliament called for speeding up the integration of blockchain on: December 16, 2018, 03:35:51 PM
Blockchain would eventually be adopted mainstream without anybody being able to stop such movement. What the Parliament is simply doing is try to get their economy there before anyone else and then become a model for others coming behind because as the penetration continues, laws would need to be made which countries would also look for model to adopt and that would generate more income for the European economy because they would  then be in the position of rendering consultancy services in that area.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bulls are Retarded on: December 16, 2018, 09:03:33 AM
You have made some valid points but regarding all bulls as retarded is on the extreme which is hasty generalization because not all bull believers are unreasonable to think like McAfee or anyone who would wake up and come with predictions without thinking of how exactly that will have to happen and the challenges that comes with such happening.

There are still reasonable bulls who just wanted a decent and gradual progressive movement in price necessitated by evidential increase in adoption.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Who thinks that current situation has to do something with mining? on: December 15, 2018, 09:25:56 PM
I don't see any relationship between what is happening and mining. Mining is an independent activity to me that is not related to forces of demand and supply. I have not seen that because transactions are not confirmed that is why price have fallen neither have I read that because more than enough bitcoins are being mined is what caused glut in the market when we all know that the difficulty in mining bitcoin increase by the day. So, let focus on turning things around rather than looking for who to blame.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: China says rejecting physical cash is illegal amid e-payments popularity on: December 15, 2018, 09:12:54 PM
To even think someone would reject physical cash is something out of the ordinary which government should take a more tough stance on because until there is a law that stops it from being a legal tender, it still remains a currency that should be accepted by all in the whole country. People have been made to go through untold hardship since the beginning of the the extreme cashless policy period especially the senior citizens but with this proclamation, its expected that it would change.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Jump out of the ship when it is sinking. on: December 15, 2018, 06:31:09 PM
BTC prices are falling continously. Investors in the waking should alert themselves and try to minimise losses by booking profit . If this trend continue for another six months perhaps the present prices will look like a nighmare and  it will be late ,moreover the predictions of lower level becoming true .If it is negative view or advise to follow ?

At this point, its really hard to convince someone to stay but concluding that its a sinking ship is surely on the extreme because there is still potentials for growth to happen. At this time, only the hardhearted can survive and hopefully get their reward when things pick up eventually.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chinese government could've created Bitcoin on: December 15, 2018, 03:20:45 PM
And this is another of the conspiracies that we cannot get tired of seeing popping out everywhere and every time. I wonder the argument for the proponents of something like this for the government to create it and they are the first set of people to have ban such technology. It does not add up because if its control they are looking for to have been the basis for the creation, probably they lost it. Either way, this one too will fizzle away just like all of those conspiracies.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas and the year end holidays on: December 13, 2018, 12:17:28 PM
in a few days again, we will meet with the year end holidays and Christmas.

I talk about crypto users, especially about those who still hold BTC assets.
like December 2017, big sales for holidays and Christmas are one of the factors that make BTC fall.
and what do you think about of December this year?
in my opinion, this December will have the same cycle with December 2017, so that BTC will fall again to $ 1500.

I agree that big sales for holidays could be responsible for the fall in the price of crypto as people are expected to raise funds for to meet all of the festivities activities and all the costs that comes with such activities but that would only happen if there is a motivation to sell. Currently, the market is not in a smiling position and except one buys before 2017, you would surely be selling at a real loss which is why I am not expecting that the Christmas would make any significant change in the current position.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good idea to buy some bitcoin now? on: December 13, 2018, 09:15:47 AM
As currently, Bitcoin price is about $3400, almost the lowest price of past 10 months.

Is it the right time to invest some for the moment?

Thank you for any suggestion

Times without number this question has come up and would continue to come up as long as there is a market and people are ready to either cash in on the opportunity or lose out on the opportunity. The answer to your question is are you ready to risk it knowing either of the two options could come out at the end of the day. The point at which you can decide that with the timeline you set for yourself, then go ahead and invest but know that you will be fully responsible to bear whatever comes out of it.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you add your physical location to your payment address? on: December 12, 2018, 09:52:15 PM
Of course a lot of people would argue that simply doing that would mean letting go of the anonymity that is attached to bitcoin or crypto currency use but lite did they know that every transaction that goes through most exchange sites is location attached whether specifically stated or not. The reason is because the KYC rules which majority if exchange sites who didn't think about it one year ago have now made it a compulsory endeavor.
10  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Israeli Tax Agency Targets Crypto Tax Dodgers on: December 12, 2018, 07:29:12 PM
The Israeli Tax Authority (ITA) is cracking down on cryptocurrency tax evaders, and has reportedly issued warnings to “hundreds” of Israeli crypto enthusiasts.

Per Israeli news outlet Calcalist, the ITA has “unilaterally opened tax accounts for hundreds of Israelis identified as having cryptocurrency-related revenues.”

The report says that it has identified individuals it suspects of failing to report their earnings, and quotes an unnamed official “familiar with the matter” as stating that citizens “who travel abroad frequently without having the requisite funds on paper, or those who own over three apartments” have been sent warning letters.

While I don't see anything wrong in tracking down tax evaders because I believe there is nothing wrong in complying with the law and there is no excuse.for it at the same time, its better to see the good side in this which means for government to decide to commit its resources in terms of money and capital into this, it surely means they are not going after the small boys hiding behind crypto to avoid tax that can be used for the betterment of the society.
11  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 0% tax when cashing out crypto on: December 11, 2018, 08:45:42 PM
Double taxatiok relief is not a form of tax avoidance rather its a way of not punishing an individual from paying tax twice which means if you pay in country A where the income is generated, you don't have to be in country B where you are located or where you want to bring in the income. It then means that there is nothing like zero percentage of tax because for you to enjoy the double taxation relief, you must show evidence that you had initially paid.

Another thing worthy of note is that double taxation relief is usually on the basis of reciprocity I.e there is hardly a way one country would declare a particular income free and another country would tax that. Its usually a well thought out process by representatives of both countries. A further thought process needs to put in place to decide if this is an avenue worthy of exploit.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC To raise before SEC decision or after? on: December 11, 2018, 06:24:37 PM
So we all knew the SEC were going to delay the ETF decision again, however this will be the last time they can delay it, and a decision will be made sometime before February 2019. How do you guys think this will affect the price of btc and crypto overall. Will it have as strong impact as last year when the big guys jumped the future train?

Whether they decide to approve or not, it does not have any effect if everybody in the market is just going about their business. The decision itself is not a determinant of the direction of price but the reaction of people to it. Based on current phenomenon, I don't are any major shift on price should SEC approval even happen now or in the near future.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am a loser. My only question now is, how do I tell my wife on: December 06, 2018, 08:48:39 PM
I mortgaged my house to buy $300,000 of ETH at 800.   I dod not tell her.   This house was paid off in full.  Now I cant make the mortgage payments with my job.  I cant even sell the ETH easily because I live in NH.   Should i keep holding?   Tired of making excuses about wherr all the money is going.   I guess I'm what you call a loser.   Thanks everyone.

Its unfortunate the situation you have found yourself. You have violated the golden rule of investing in crypto currency which is never to invest amount you cannot afford to lose which is the case here. You probably came in with the intention that buying would multiply your income and make excessive profit for the family.

Now it has happen, the next is the way forward which is for one, you have to tell her what is the situation and explain to her the best way possible. Make her understand your intentions for putting money into crypto currency after which you have to work on getting out of the mess without which you are ready for a huge problem.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: The harmful affect of a continuous downward movement of the Bitcoin price. on: December 06, 2018, 03:30:59 PM
The harmful effect cannot be underestimated for any reason. For one, the disinterest that is generating is alarming. People who don't lose hope easily would start to get wearied because of the continuous fall while the individuals that have never been bearer of good tidings will have reasons to continue their onslaught against crypto in general which in real sense would continue to give concerns to the general market.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Manila Residents to Be Paid in Ether for Cleaning Up Polluted Habitat Area on: December 06, 2018, 08:25:06 AM
For no other reason than popularising crypto, it worth commending no matter how little considering the amount of bashing that the price of crypto have witnessed in the past couple of weeks which means every effort should be appreciated no matter how little its going to contribute to the mainstream as that is what is needed at this time. Another worthy of note is for the cause of which this is being utilised which would generally be accepted to be a good cause on cleaning the environment.
16  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Two Iran-based BTC addresses blacklisted by USA - don't trade with them on: December 05, 2018, 07:58:28 PM
The fact is every transaction in and out that address would be monitored to the extent that someone would make a mistake by either depositing into an exchange site that can be connected with the KYCs already in place or some direct sale with transfer to bank accounts via some credit card details. Either way, the best is to avoid those account all together but the real.problem is, some people won't get the opportunity to see the release and they end up falling victims of such issues without knowing anything concerning prior issues.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency is suppose to turn the middle class into rich people on: December 05, 2018, 04:29:24 PM
Crypto currency is suppose to turn the middle class into rich people why is that changing now? People got scared of crypto? It's easy money mix in with bankruptcy money. The future is in our hands. Don't be scared . If u know this forum exist , we will have lots of money come 3 years

I would largely disagree with such conclusion because when that happened, it then mean that eradicating the middle class which then further widened the gap between the rich and the poor. I in all honesty don't think that is what bitcoin and crypto currency it's all about. Crypto is all about liberating people financially so far you can be open to it whether you belong to the poor class, middle class or the rich class of the society.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: December 05, 2018, 02:14:50 PM
Etherum is having a very bad situation now. Nearly 50 percent reduction only occurs in a few weeks. Of course this is a very difficult thing for anyone who suffers from Etherum. This is a direct loss, but when we can think more openly, we must know that the price of Etherum is very likely to increase. The quality of Etherum has been recognized by everyone and therefore Etherum has gained a very good level of public trust.
So it's not impossible that the price of Etherum will increase again.

Saying that its price would rise again is merely the expression of hope and in not anyway connected to whether it will truly rise or further witness some more deterioration. For one, the drop in price is not only ETH but bitcoin also took an hit but what I noticed is that there are some coins that are already low, that only took some decent hit compared to the popular coins. The point is if we are just expressing hope, it might remain like but be hope backed by action to a certain direction is the best way to go.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of cryptocurrencies for China on: December 04, 2018, 09:47:15 PM
No matter the advantages that crypto currency offers for an economy whether China or the United States, the government knows but the question is, can they match it with the cost that comes with it based on their own perspectives which is what determines the attitude any government will display towards crypto currency. Unless those costs or disadvantages can be overcome or there is a higher necessity to push forward the advantages, its not going to change till the near future.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need bitcoin in the modern world? on: December 04, 2018, 09:17:06 PM
As a rule, citizens of Eastern countries and Europeans are interested in purchasing e-currency. For example, in Germany, you can legally buy real estate, paying the seller bitcoins. In Japan, you can have a good dinner in a restaurant, paying the bill with cryptocurrency. This is very convenient, because you do not need to have a lot of time and lose huge interest for the transaction. However, not everyone is in a hurry to spend their savings in this way, which are stored in the form of a digital currency. Most owners of bitcoins who buy coins from miners, deep down hope that the rate will rise unexpectedly and there will be an opportunity to sell crypto currency profitably. This is one way how to earn with bitcoins. Thus, many of those who bought the digital currency as soon as it began to gain popularity, were able to make a fortune.

The advantages of crypto currency is something multi faceted in that, irrespective of the objective you intend to achieve, you are covered. This means that whether you want to use it for real estate or in a dinar to pay your bills, you are welcome. Its simply using it as a means of exchange. On the other hand, if you want to meet your need as a store of value, the your needs are equally covered. Its that simple.
