Once I read a thread about dice cheating, it says the site admin can control the result, and admin can use new accounts to steal money from investors.
The OP says to assume that the site in his example IS provably fair. No, the result is modifiable, and the is also provably fair. My friend opened a dice site in 2013, and he cheated so the scandal was famous in China. And the site IS also provably fair. |

Something weird happened.
I visited 999dice and a guy on chat warned me to go away else I will loose all my coins. I have seen a lot of scam accusations on this site so I just wanted to try out whether the accusations are true or not. But before depositing money someone scared me off. Now I am just wondering that was that guy telling me that you are doomed to loose while gambling or is 999dice rigged?
In my opinion this website is a scam. If you read through the history of the thread, the owner launched claiming to have 100k's of coins wagered in one day along with a sizable bankroll which I pressed him to prove and he agreed. After agreeing to that he left bitcointalk and never returned and never demonstrated that proof basically admitting that he was lying. Also I believe that this JakeM is JakeMcrs a confirmed scammer who developed the site gigadice and simpledice, so he certainly had the code for it already. The people defending ponzis will tell you it's a game not a scam because the implied fact you will lose money is part of the gamble.
Also there WILL be 'investors' who know all these facts and still want to double their holdings overnight, ignoring everything they know. As I read somewhere on this forum, the world never runs out of fools. Those "investors" deserve to lose money because of silly and greedy.  |

Here is my best overnight strategy, set buy order lower than you think the market can drop. If it does drop that much then you are doing good, but if it doesn't drop that much you wake to a pump on your buy
