I have a scrypt rig where I recently added one extra HD 7850 (so I have 2 in the rig now).
OS: Win7 Miner sw: cgminer
I have been using am using AMD Catalyst Control center to control memory/GPU/fan speed. However with the extra card added I can only control GPU1 with Catalyst Control center, GPU0 runs with standard settings. I have a good cooling system so there is headrung for getting 10-20% extra hashing by optimizing.
Any ideas/suggestions how to optimize both GPU's - is there some other SW to control the GPU's?

Where do the transaction fee's from the wallet go?
also who sent me 0.529 and why?
Transaction fees are added to the block reward. When bitcoin/other coins mine out, the expectation that miners will continue to mine to get the transaction fee reward. What is an appropriate amount for a relative fast confirmation?

What is an appropriate transaction fee for DOGE for a reasonable transaction speed? (0.01?)

This might sound stupid, but i request help and assistance :
So, I opened an account with a bitcoin "broker", in my case bitstamp.net. I have my funds in the account, however after reading some of the posts here, I am quite scared to buy the bitcoins. I am not much of a comp geek, not even an avereage user... So if I get it right, when I put a buy order I wait for the order to get filled and then... -Do I have to make my own folder beforehand and save the bitcoins/key on my pc? -In general what happens after the order gets through? -Is there a big possibilitie that someone steals my bitcoins (in general). Are this heckers stalkers or how does this work?
Any help, even links to adequate topics/posts would be much appreciated.
I can give you a quick crash course. The most safe place that you can store bitcoins as a newbee is in a encrypted Bitcoin-QT wallets (there are safer alternatives but it requires some more experience and knowledge to use). http://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-walletDo the following: - Install the bitcoin-QT wallet installed - wait for the block train to download, it can take many hours (depending on your internet connection), so you might as well get started. - Encrypt your wallet, there is a option in Bitcoin-QT "Settings -> Encrypt wallet", make a long password (+16 characters) - write this down on a piece of paper, if you loose your password you loose whatever is in your wallet. - Backup your wallet, there is a option "File -> Backup wallet", safe this file on a USB drive or burn it to DVD, ideally both. Now you are ready to use the wallet (you can use it before the blockchain is downloaded if you are in a rush). There is a button called "receive", this is your public bitcoin adr, give this to anyone that should send you bitcoin. You can also transfer bitcoins from bitstamp to your wallet, by transfering bitcoins to your oublic adr. Its always a good idea to start with small transactions untill you know what your are doing, e.g. 0.01 BTC. There are more safe way to do this, but to get started it will do. I do not have any first hand experience with bitstamp, but you can start setting up your bitcoin-QT wallet, it take time for the blockchain to download anyway. Setting up a secure wallet is the first thing to do.There are alternatives to bitcoin-QT wallet, but learning to use bitcoin-QT is "standard" in my opinion, and the program is well tested and stable.

Hello, I'm new here(and to bit currency). So what does everyone do here besides wait for doges to go up?
Mainly investing bitcoins in different projects. Mining some DOGE on a small homebuild scrypt rig (I took my FPGA bitcoin rig offline 4 month ago because of the difficulty). Been trading altcoin lately.

Hi, I'm a newbie from Russia.
Merry Christmas!
Can someone suggest some good threads about Dogecoins ? Or even shortly tell your ideas about it's growing and BTC falling?
This is the main thread of DOGE https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=361813.0;topicseenIf you are going to trade DOGE or other altcoin, then will I recommend: https://vircurex.com/My personally ideas about growing and falling BTC rates: I think we will see a lot big swings in 2014, but in general I believe that the rate will go up, I expect that BTC will be at $1000-2000 before the summer. There are many factors that can have influence, in 2013 we saw that media attention had a big effect, china exchange had a big impact. If we should see the BTC go to the $5000, then do I belive that we need to see more adaptation by merchants. I also think that bitcoin is not mature enough for none-technical minded people.. yet. Mainly because the responsibility of securing the funds lies on the user (rather than a bank). It is a big drawback for the community that online-wallets are so insecure, normal people are so use to homebanking with a webbrowser so the step to bitcoin is not that big, but I would not recommend anybody to use online wallets, due to the risk of theft. If a big online company (that has funding insurance, from a big insurance company) emerges, then will the possibility of mass adaptation open. I also think that smartphone wallets, has a bit potential, Mycelium is a really good product for the masses. I think we are over that stage where BTC will go to $0 over night, there are to many influential people involved. In my opinion (this is my personal opinion) the biggest treat to bitcoin is ghash.io (cex.io), they are one organization that have ~33% of the hashing power, Santoshi warned about exact this, if they will misuse their power then can the whole system collapse. I have nothing personally against ghash.io, but I try to support everything that is a counterweight to ghash.io, for the protection of the bitcoin. I have also move some funds into LTC (I know many will disagree with this), because scrypt mining can not go commerical anytime soon, in the same way as the bitcoin mining have, since the hardware is more complicated and expensive for scrypt, this have somewhat of a guarantee that the network stay decentralized. Some people predict if bitcoin collapse, then will all the altcoin follow. However I belive that LTC is one of the coins that will arise from the ashes, since there is a market and need for digital currency. Marry Christmas to you too.

Are there any more February shares available?
Hi gigacoiner, It's still Batch 1 rigs as far as chips, but the second batch of miners that will ship out in March for new orders. From what I understand: they wanted to give a realistic shipping window for new orders, as they realistically can't ship everything in one day, so that new buyers wouldn't feel misled. EDIT: There *may* be a few February shares left, but I can't promise this, as Thomas is our official spreadsheet master for R17x and this sub-round... R17zj, yes, you read that correctly, may be nearly sold out: Round R17 zj as in 36 rigs. [Y'all broke our sub-round naming convention we came up with, so we had to make a new one] So please be patient with Thomas and the payment processing: we're talking 1800 GB shares for this round alone that need to be accounted for properly, which can take time to confirm. Why, I do believe that he even has a coffee fund, if you felt like helping him along. [Side note/update: been a long road but the site re-re-design for the co-op should begin later this week, which will have more automation for some things] How long time will it take (approximate) to get the 36 rigs online? Installing, configuring, ect. ?

For christ's sake, what's wrong with the btc transaction time?!?!?!
Just add highere TX fee if you have a priority transaction. I just made a transaction (which had to go fast), I put 0.001 in txfee (instead of 0.0001), it took a few minutes for first confirm.
