2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoin will go 10x this year? on: January 10, 2022, 11:44:02 PM
Most of the altcoins that are good during the bullish move have a good track performance. In particular almost every altcoin have got its ath value to be 10x from the current price. This makes altcoin investment to be worthy targeting the next bull market. Particularly I'm watching the movement of trust wallet token. It hasn't reached big considering the current value, but it seems to have good potential.
2762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 10, 2022, 10:54:51 PM

Did anyone know whether Newzealand enforce the follow-on ?
They haven't made the decision yet. This is the last test match of Ross Taylor as he announced his retirement. They may choose to bat again if they want to give another batting chance to Ross Taylor in his last test match.

This will be not a wise decision by NZ captain  Latham to allow the team to bat again only because they want Ross Taylor to play another innings. What if he fails to score and even if he score 50+ runs what difference will it make to his career record. In any case he will be remembered as a great player for the new zealand team.
I hope Latham take the wise action tomorrow and enforce the follow on.
Rather than a career record, his last match will be a remembered by him. He'll be remembered for his performance throughout his cricketing career. The performance of Bangladesh this time is completely opposite to the previous match. New Zealand have made them strong with the previous match defeat. Does anybody know whether the Bangladesh had a national holiday once after the win against New Zealand. Years back Bangladesh had a national holiday once after winning a match against India Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Worth or not is depend on the user it self.

Some people especially me, don't want to do "KYC" not because a bonus 10-20% but because want to protect my privacy. The main point part betting with "cryptocurrency" you can protect privacy.

Well, from my perspective. More bonus 10-20% is really high, If you a high roller gamble and don't really mind to do "KYC".
Someone from Stake chat confirmed after winning 70k$ his account was restricted to withdraw and asked to pass KYC. If you feel one day big win gonna happen then doing KYC will save you from potential hassle plus you will receive 20% more bonuses every week/month.
Yeah, this shows there is no compulsion about the KYC verification level. Maybe if a person have won big and wants a withdrawal without KYC, then he could do the withdrawal in small amounts. For a big amount to be withdrawn it might take time, but there won't be restrictions that you need to be fully verified.
2764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Supercycle or Halving cycle still? on: January 10, 2022, 09:41:24 PM
Bull or bear, Bitcoin is in a super cycle. Don’t believe me? Zoom out.

Zooming out is where we can see that it's not still at the bottom unlike in June last year when indicators are signaling we have reached the bottom. The dip today looks like it's not yet which some speculators are actually saying the price could be up by June this year as well or it may extend to a year like in 2018 bear market. Is the bear cycle also repeating?

Due to the large scale adoption in the global market this discussion about supercycle/halving cycle have existed. As in the OP, after every halving the market used to turn bullish. At times the market change happens a little delayed or soon after the halving. A market without bearish move is something like a manipulated one. As of now everything is on good phase, so we can expect the market to be stable for some time and turn bearish before making a big jump for the upcoming halving.
2765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 10, 2022, 08:55:46 PM
I'm not sure I'd say we're in a bear market yet.  This still seems like correction territory to me.  Granted, it's closer to bear market territory than I'd like it to be.  We're still in the comfort zone at the moment though.  I think things will start getting uncomfortable around $39K and below that will feel like a bear market.  At the moment though we could be in a trading range between $42.0K & $69K.  Until that breaks, this could be viewed as a buying opportunity.  Especially seeing the sentiment in the market expecting it to drop further.  The bulls have been liquidated enough, there should be some bears on the menu before long.
I definitely agree that we are not in the bear market right now. It says we are 20% down for the week we are 11% or so down, and only in the last 30 days we are around that 20% mark and not even there, we were around 48k or so and now we are at 42-43k levels which is 5-6k difference and that's not 20%.

All in all I would say that its nothing too shocking and we should not be calling it a bear market. For it to be a bear market we need to see it drop a lot more in the future. We need to see it a lot worse, we need to see like 40% or so drop in order to call it a bear market if you ask me. Obviously there is no definite line to say if one thing is bear or not, but this seems too small of a drop to be suddenly in bear market, it was just a small drop.
I can also see that the current drop is not that very serious and its fall rate has not reached 20% so maybe we are not yet entering the bear season. I think there will still be a lot of this when we finally turn into bearish season, that weak hands cannot sustain it anymore and end panic selling. But we know things that are happening right now will not be forever, it will surely end when we see the market starts to recover. So its better to hodl our coins until we see good chances to sell and earn profits.
Yes, weak hands won't sustain. Who are those weak hands? In my understanding most of the small volume holders seems to be weak hands, because always there'll be little panic about the market as there is nothing assured for the next move. Right now the large volume holders and whales will be making use of the fluctuation which has been taking place between $40k and $43k. Small holders never intend to do rather than holding. This is why they panic by this situations.
2766  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is for everyone but not everyone will be for Bitcoin on: January 10, 2022, 03:10:24 PM
Bitcoin is innovated with a purpose, but at times it gets deviated from its real purpose. For this reason at times people find it different. If bitcoin is at a price that is affordable people would've said it is for everyone. In my opinion bitcoin can be bought upon one's ability, which means any lowest denomination is possible. Even now this is for everyone, maybe making big money out of bitcoin might've got slowed down for the present investors.
2767  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What the fuck does binance want? on: January 10, 2022, 09:52:36 AM
Are you using their application on your smartphone? Usually, that's the easiest way to get verified because of the verification thing you need to undergo if you want to have the higher-tiered accounts.

I remember that you have to have your face in the oblong-shaped thing, and you need to move around your head—something like that. Please take photos of your IDs on the app itself, not taken with the camera app on your phone. I think after that it should be done.
Even with Mobile application it is possible to get error while uploading/verification of KYC. Within one or two attempts you'll get to know the exact requirement. In my case, KYC got unverified just because of the pic mentioning the date isn't clear. Initially I wrote with pen, later used a marker and then took a snap of me having the placard with date. Within a short time everything got verified.
2768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell a little bitcoin now to get into alts when it all drops soon? on: January 10, 2022, 05:56:48 AM
...wouldn't it be a good idea to sell some bitcoin to be able to do that?...

It is possible that buying altcoins for BTC now will be the right decision, since almost all altcoins in relation to bitcoin are at the lowest levels. But you should remember that if bitcoin continues its decline, the price of altcoins will decrease much more than BTC. Therefore, make your purchases in parts.
Same time there are few altcoins that are on the rising side even when the Bitcoin market is down. Holders of those altcoins could prefer to buy bitcoin for altcoins. Bitcoin seems to gain momentum around $40k to $42500. Maybe a breakout could take the price higher, and if there happens a decline down to $40k then it is real start of bear market. So, always have some backup plans to keep up the portfolio against the unpredictable market.
2769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: January 10, 2022, 01:55:49 AM
Trump began to manipulate, give FUD and buy bitcoins in large quantities, then give a breath of fresh air by saying Bitcoin is gold, Bitcoin is a valuable asset. Trump is a skilled whale. His new venture to make NFT will certainly get a lot of benefits. a market strategy that will benefit Trump and his family.
He is a good business man, so his thoughts will be much into money making. This isn't wrong, and being influential he tries to make use of the same. However his wife supportive to cryptocurrency and Trump standing against it makes controversy. It also adds some discussion, because on one note he's against cryptocurrency and on the back he wish her wife a success and assures she'll be successful on her crypto project.

There is nothing wrong with what the Australian captain did? He knew that the English team is struggling this season and wanted Khawaja to get this century for his record. England needs 352 runs to win this match which I think is still not achievable considering their past performance. Australia has already won 3 matches and they will be looking for a win in this match too.
Australia could have declared the innings as soon as Usman Khawaja scored a history century in both innings, instead they played for a while and unless they lost two quick wickets in consecutive balls they declared the innings, if they declared as soon as Usman Khawaja scored his century they would get around 18 to 20 overs for the day.

England lost their first wicket and how long they will survive in this match is to be seen and Scott Boland took the wicket and whether we will see another magical spell is to be seen  Cheesy.

Look like England will survive this test match and this will end in a draw. Around 7 overs left in the day and they till have two wickets in hand. I am not sure if they will play all the remaining overs in the day or the dim light will call the day off early and England will be thankful for that.  Smiley
Somehow England managed to draw the match. If one more wicket have fallen for England it could be a win for Australia. In this match it is John Baristow who is the key for such a draw, because he scored good in the first innings as well as managed to keep the partnership with players even when there is consecutive wicket fall. When there were 40 overs left and 200 runs required to win the match I believed it could turn towards England.
That is basically a win for Australia but for the records it is a draw because of some stupid rule by ICC. Player of the match is well deserved Usman Khawaja. 137 in the first innings and 101 in the second. Meanwhile in Newzealand VS Bangladesh Latham can easily reach his double century as because of him Newzealand had a good start.
It can't be said in such a way, because during the last 18 balls Australia did the best, but they weren't able to take the final wicket to mark the winning.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh match have interested most of the cricket enthusiasts once after the win from Bangladesh against New Zealand in the first test match. Today something interesting happened in the match scoring 7 runs from a single ball. Umpire used both his hands to give sign of 7 runs  Cheesy Grin Cheesy

This was a news that got published an year ago. From the news that is being published the service acceptance is through post billpay. This is being done through a fee of 5.9% which is something close to the exchanges and ATMs that support bitcoin deposit and withdrawal. Postal service into bitcoin shows the public ventures participation. Hope this gets followed by more public ventures understanding the need of common people.

Possibly this looks like Binance CEO is planning to promote Binance exchange in India. For the same Sanjay Dutt might be the brand promoter. This doesn't have anything to do big with the cryptocurrency network. Already more exchange services have started their business in India and Binance seems to enter lately on the race.

There is a set back for PSL as CSA has refused to issue NOCs to its contracted players saying players must remain available for national team commitment against NZ and BAN. This is a good move by csa, will they do the same for filthy rich IPL I don't think.
No PSL NOC for South Africa's contracted players

I don't support this move. This is pure blackmail. The CSA want centrally contracted players to appear in useless domestic competitions within South Africa, while forfeiting their opportunity to take part in the lucrative PSL. This sort of behavior is exactly the reason why many of the good South African players were forced to retire from international cricket and move to other countries such as England and New Zealand. After all, cricket is just another profession. You can't force the professional players to play without salary, while taking away their chance to earn some good amounts from the franchise leagues.
I also feel they would not do the same for IPL and we all know the reason. If they do try the same then players might leave the national team as they do get paid more in IPL. I still do not support this decision of CSA. They should reconsider it.
The players won't easily leave the national team and show interest playing IPL. The IPL league have turned too big and the attracted audience have made it one among the top league on entire sports. This happened little by little through the big pay and the strong sponsors who are ready to spend big on the league. In one form the decision of CSA is something good for the real cricketing growth.

2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think Bitcoin Save Your Economy on: January 08, 2022, 10:47:14 PM
Bitcoin is innovated for different purpose, and so it has nothing to do with economy. When we talk about the saving the economy of a country, it all depends on the development the government take forward for the upliftment of its citizens.

Bitcoin adoption might streamline the usage of technology and gives transparency which could lower the corruption happening in each and every country. When corruption gets stopped, automatically the economy of any country will grow.
2776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 08, 2022, 10:05:33 PM
I am not sure how did you conclude that IPL has destroyed Indian cricket standards. IPL has given a lot of opportunity to those young players who might have not got selected in the Indian A team because of fierce competition. Thanks to IPL he would still have a chance to get selected and also get decent pay every year. T20 is more watched than any other format of cricket therefore BCCI has been focusing more on this format.

Have to agree with pakhitheboss. IPL may have some negatives associated with it, but overall it has done wonders to young Indian players. Look at second string players like Rahul Tewatia, Chetan Sakariya and Sandeep Sharma. These players don't have any real chance of getting a national team callup anytime soon. But as a result of the IPL, they have received good exposure and more importantly good salaries. And on top of that, the BCCI has received billions of USD in revenues, and most of it was directed towards the grass-roots development.
Now the IPL league have turned many players to be successful in their professional cricketing. In the past players didn't have any opportunity to show their ability, now this has been fulfilled by the IPL league. Recently one of the leading Soccer club have shown interest in buying one of the IPL franchise which shows how high the money is playing its role in IPL.
2777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 07, 2022, 05:19:00 PM
Holding as a whole seems to make you rich. If the question was asked ten years back, very few might've given a strong positive answer. Now 0.01BTC in today's value is $420. Just think of the same investment ten years back, now you could've turned super rich.

The growth has attained a level, we can't expect much bigger growth to happen beyond this. So, 0.01BTC won't make people rich. Maybe if lucky scenario could change. This is my personal opinion and this doesn't mean to mention anything negative.
2778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: January 07, 2022, 02:41:41 PM
<..>

That is the point, I think you have to live it to understand it, the fact of sitting for a few hours makes you think that there is no physical exhaustion and maybe if you do it from time to time it may not affect you, but it exhausts, the Poker is a sport in some countries, for example Brazil and that allows us to compare it, in fact, many professional poker players have switched to professional poker.

Today's professional players in the chess world have a different preparation even if you compare them with past champions, their physical condition is very different.

But whatever the definition of sport has to be redefined to new times, because driving a drone is considered a competitive sport today, I think that in the end it is a matter of how it is practiced and under what healthy competitive conditions it is performed.

I agree with you that chess can be quite hard
and I understand many consider it a sport, for me it's a game since sports would have sweat and more physicality
as an example, I don't consider eSports as sports since they're computer games

but here I'm talking a bit more on my personal definitions than the general consensus
What you said is true. Myself too have the same definition when it comes to chess. Maybe we can call it a mind game, because the win is much associated with the thinking and not about the physical acts. As said eSports were just a resembling of real sports, and not real sports. But the naming is done in a right way adding "e" to the sports.
2779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: January 07, 2022, 02:14:47 PM
I'm more worried about the players and the injuries next year in Qatar. They have just come out of the competition (95% of all players) and then they have to start again at the World Cup within 1 week. That can never be healthy and never go well, that is an invitation to open injuries. In England they normally play in the month of December, but in other countries they have a winter break. It's there for a reason. Sub-top clubs are not bothered by this, but the strong teams do risk something by letting their strongest players go to the World Cup. Ultimately the choices and responsibility of the player(s) themselves.

ya.ya.yo!

the 2022 fifa world cup, will be held in Qatar, this will be the first world cup ever to be held in the middle east, and the first to be held in an Islamic majority country, in my personal opinion maybe the obstacles experienced by players because of the weather problem in Qatar, because the weather there summer is usually long, hot and humid, if it's a matter of the condition of the players I think they will be fine, because all competitions end in the 6th month of 2022, so the players have a few months to keep their bodies steady fit, maybe the problem is the players who play in the English league, because we know there are so many competitions that are run in England..

Well this is something very true, when the soccer world cup approaches, some players usually suffer injuries, the most famous ones suffer injuries and some are left out of the world championship causing them to take others for them, of course this is something very sad, perhaps people Say, that they prefer that good players take care of themselves and not expose themselves to the dangers that a friendly soccer match can bring, or maybe their clubs do not put them to take care of themselves, but certainly that is their job and if an accident happens, that represents the low risk which they are always subject to, I think there is nothing to do there.

Players relieve from the team out of injury, but people weren't able to accept it. This is all because of having big expectation over that particular player. It is always good to be safe and take good rest before the days of big events, because the players wholeheartedly wish to play but when there happens health issues automatically they can't participate.

The same will also be attributed as the players are willing to play for the club as it pays big, but weren't able to play for the country.
2780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 07, 2022, 01:35:16 PM

But Ben Stokes got out, Jonny Bairstow is still smashing runs with strike rate more than 74 and Mark Wood on the other end batting at strike rate of 102. Bairstow may hit a century today. England's trail is depleting now for less than 180 runs. The last hour is usually known for more runs hence I expect another 50 runs from 14 runs.

England recovered very well and credit for this recovery goes to Jonny Bairstow and Ben. Jonny Bairstow is still on the crease with 103 runs. England tail saved England from yet another humiliation. Mark Wood scored 39 runs on just 41 balls. If england manage to score 300 runs then we have a chance of draw though Aus will try to win the game.
Australia will give the best to win the match. There is more chance for a draw than win by any of the teams. As like the first innings England needs to perform good, or else this is going to be a losing match as the previous one. Because, in the previous match England ended the second innings very badly losing entire wickets for 68 runs. I expect some steady and consistent game, even now few players have been keeping the match alive than going one sided.
