El Salvador to mine bitcoin using Volcanic energy, how cool is that? (no pun intended).

https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1442949756993490945

The source is the President himself through his twitter? What can you say about this move?

El Salvador paving the way for "volcanode", Lol.
2762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 29, 2021, 07:42:40 AM
A bit offtopic on the thread but just want to say here that Pacquiao confirms of retiring in boxing world as he ready himself on the PH coming election.

His message from his facebook page.

Now who will be the next legend on PH boxers? Maybe we can expect from MP promotions same like casimero Smiley

I doubt that anyone from PH boxing can carry the void that Manny has left. Pacquiao is rare, probably one in 50 years to come along the boxing world, become 8 division champion and was well loved, has the charisma and become pound4pound.

Casimero is so brandish, arrogant and doesn't have the magnet that Manny has when he was in his prime. In any case, I'm rooting for Casimero to win and then challenge Inoue next year.

Unfortunately, this is the market we will in, there are so many scammers around who will take advantage of anyone, like promising good money as ROI. But as we said here, if it's too good to be true, probably is. So let this be a a lesson for newbies not to blindly invest their money on such projects that tells that investors are going to get X amount of returns. Everyone needs to work hard if they want to earn a good amount of money here.
2764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners Are the Bears on: September 29, 2021, 12:26:31 AM
Either way there is too much selling or manipulated, price suppression & not enough buying at the moment. I feel that $41,9xx is cheap right now. Hopefully the market agrees with me & the price goes up soon.

Yeah, instead of looking at the bad side on what is happening right now, regardless if the miners are supposedly dumping to keep their business running, still a best opportunity to buy at the current price.

We're not yet in the bear season, so I'm expecting that we will go back again at least to $43k-$48k which is the prior range before this dump to $41k.
2765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 28, 2021, 02:22:36 AM
^ Yes, this is some sort of their big 3, Jokic, Murray and Porter Jr. Looks solid because this guy are still very young and wait for them to hit their prime years. There are a lot of strong teams in the West, but I thing Nuggets is not that far, specially if Jokic can perform another MVP season this year. And with them improving their chemistry and Porter Jr having a break out performance in the last stretch of the regular season up to the playoff series, for sure they will be still be one of the contender in the Western conference.
2766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 28, 2021, 01:33:15 AM
Butler could probably make more money by stepping aside and allowing Casimero to fight Inoue. Inoue needs an opponent for the end of the year and it would be a shame if he couldn't fight a big name due to the sanctioning bodies getting in the way. Hopefully an agreement is reached and we will see a unification fight instead of the mandatory.

Is Casimero vs Inoue is really a thing that needed to happen now quickly? Why Butler will step aside? If Casimero will lose in that fight, then Butler can direct to Inoue as no reason now for Casimero to fight the Japanese champion. He will make more money if he wins against Casimero. I don't see any wrong with that mandatory fight. It's a good practice for Casimero to test his skills as he wasn't able to release that during his fight against Rigo. In that way, he will be more prepared to fight the aggressive Inoue.

Forget Inoue vs Casimero for now. Move on now guys.

It a mandatory fight so nothing can be done without waiting for this fight to happened, if Casimero still pursuing meeting Inoue, he probably needs to win against Butler and add this win to his belt. Still a win-win for Casimero since he will earned money from this fight not as much as how he may get if the Inoue fight take place but still decent once he wins the camp can continue the chase of making Arum to decide choosing him for Inoue.

Let's move on for now and allow this fight, enjoy and see how Casimero will take this as it's been a mandatory for him to accomplish.

That's right. No more statement that it should be Casimero vs Inoue or Donaire. The fight was already mandated and I'm also one of the few people here that see no problem regarding the match. It's a stage where Casimero should win in order to have a better chance to fight Inoue next.

We not see Casimero in 100% with his last match. I hope Butler won't have the running skills and will fight Casimer face to face.

Actually we did see Casimero 100% in his last match, it's that Rigo is not a willing dance partner and just keep on running the whole fight. Which frustrate not only Casimero but us boxing fans because we are used to seeing Casimero knocking out his opponent with big blows. So yeah, hopefully Butler won't run in this fight and would go toe to toe with the champion to make it an entertaining fight.
2767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin(Cryptocurrencies) is a social movement? on: September 28, 2021, 12:52:29 AM
Do you consider Bitcoin(or cryptocurrencies) in general a social movement? If you consider so, social movements need a formal organization to support the movement. Is there a formal organization behind Bitcoin?

Probably, as bitcoin is borderless, anyone can join in the movement and promote bitcoin around the globe. But I would say it's informal movement, others might see bitcoin as a way for financial freedom, majority wanted it to a be a payment scheme, majority as store of value and make profits in the future. So loosely, bitcoin can fit on any social movement that we have seen in the past, but no concrete definition per se.
2768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: September 26, 2021, 01:33:02 AM
Damn, what a fight. Usyk, played well in this one. Was waiting for that, one punch just one punch from AJ  Grin But hell it didn't come, rematch! there's should be a rematch for this one. Hoping for a rematch, like Ruiz and Joshua II, it should be entertaining and we'll see if he can regain himself and belts. But yeah, can't get over how it all goes down. Kudos to Usyk, well deserved I guess.

will usyk's camp be amenable with re-match? or will they look for another opponent like fury? we haven't seen AJ's lucky punch here. i believe a lot betted on joshua here. the odds are great if you happen to bet on usyk. at least, we watched a good fight here and not a boring one. let us see what joshua's camp have to say after this fight...

What also surprised to see the results of the fight, I though AJ would have this one on the bag, but Usyk is very clever and didn't allow AJ to have that one big punch, instead he controlled the whole fight, winning by decision.

Not sure if there is a rematch class, but Eddie Hearn is more concern about the AJ's eye before proceeding with that rematch against Usyk.

Ben Simmons rejected his teammates offer to fly to California and meet to discuss his desire to be traded to a different team.  They're saying he's "checked out" from the ball club and has no desire to have anything to do with the 76ers or his old teammates.  This seems like a last ditch effort to get him to come back, and I don't see them making any more efforts at this point.  I think he's going to be gone on the trading block as soon as a good deal can be squeezed out of the Warriors for Wiggins or the Kings for Fox.

Yes, for sure Ben has closed all the doors with that rejection and I doubt that things can be patched at this point. For sure he has been in the trading block, unfortunately, no teams are willing maybe Kings, not sure if the Warriors are going to trade Wiggins for him, might be a bad idea as Wiggins has already fit in the Warriors line up and has a good season last year.
2770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC Ever Stop Defining Market Movements? on: September 25, 2021, 03:40:33 AM
Hello everyone, dear friends. Everyone remembers what happened in 18 year. Then the cryptocurrency really kept only on BTC and ETH. But now a lot has changed. A huge number of crypto areas have appeared, such as DeFi, NFT, Blockchain gaming and others. The market is full of top offers, but for some reason, BTC still determines the market price. When Btc falls, the entire market is corrected, and ecosystems like Near Protocol or Solana most often grow only with positive BTC daily readings.

What do you think about this? Why, after fixing BTC, people still fix their money in projects such as Near, Solana or Matic, because their ecosystems, by and large, can exist completely apart  Huh

What do you expect? BTC is the first and the prime movers in crypto, that's why everything is based on it's price. And you just have to look at all the trading pairs we have, its BTC/X coin. So that explains what BTC will remain dominant for the years to come.

As for other projects, yeah it good to see them popping from time to time and become solid. But it's quality over quantity for me. There are a lot of shi tcoins and only being used for pump and dump scheme.
2771  Economy / Speculation / Re: New (old) FUD coming from China? on: September 25, 2021, 02:39:26 AM
It will have an effect in the price, as much as we hate the Chinese news and fud, it has an impact still. Just look at the price in the last 24 hours, we've seen another pullback to $41k-$42. However, the dent in the price will not be be long term. Sooner or later, investors will realized that this is the nth time the China has issues a ban or everything related to crypto. So I expect a bounce after this, even a new all time high at the end of the year.
2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: September 25, 2021, 01:59:05 AM
^ Lol, his trying to beat Fury as the boxing's well dressed during a press conference, face-off. In any case, I don't think it will work on Joshua, he will well experience to be affected by this kind of psychological war in his fight.

So let's see how the fight goes, I'm seeing Joshua winning by TKO in 10 rounds or less. I'm not expecting the fight to go full distance.
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China trying its best to get hated on: September 24, 2021, 07:30:33 PM
Ok, so let's see how this ban will affect the price.

New all time high?

2774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ultimate slot experience on: September 24, 2021, 08:35:54 AM
I have read so many things on slot games, how it is the most popular and easy to play a game which requires little to no skills in playing it. But again from personal experience and development, some players can still manage the way around the slot, can we share experiences?

It's a luck based game, so obviously, if you got that lucky day, then probably you will hit the jackpot and won big. But it's too risky, I mean how many spins you will need to get a bonus?

Per my experience, yes it's very attractive playing slots. However, in the long run, it's the worst game in offline and online casino. As you will lost a lot of money here targeting that bonus. And you don't know what the bonus spin will give you in terms of profit.
2775  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future bitcoin price is high and low on: September 24, 2021, 07:42:38 AM

Ao if you have some Bitcoin today, avoid it from selling even if the price drop that's normal since we are about to enter the bear season soon. So HODL as much as you can and don't let your emotion drive you.
currently the price of bitcoin is at a price level of $44 thousand, and this is a pretty drastic decline in the last week, from the available data, bitcoin has decreased by almost reaching around 6.28%, and of course it can be said that currently bitcoin is still in the red zone , so holding bitcoin is the right step for us right now, and in my opinion, with the current condition of the bitcoin price weakening in the market, it is certainly a good opportunity for us to buy it and keep it for some time to come.

Nah, I wouldn't call it a drastic decline, if it is 10%-15% then yes, it could be a flash crash. But we have bounce back already, we are still above the support line of $43k so that's good indication that there have been a lot of buyers during the dip. But perhaps the biggest concern is those who continue to short bitcoin. In any case, this is not weakening, probably will trade sideways, so another period of consolidation maybe a week or two or at least at the end of this month.
2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware and Bitcoin on: September 24, 2021, 06:58:52 AM
I just came across an atricle where the US treasury department purpose to sanction crypto and the reason they give is that bitcoin is used for ransomware so if we stop the usuage of bitcoin, there will be no Ransomware  attacks. How ridiculous it this ?

Instead of going after the hackers, they are going after the crypto. Will the hackers stop ransonware attacks if there is no crypto ?

US Treasury Dept sanctions crypto OTC broker Suex for alleged role in facilitating transactions for ransomware attacks

They are not to sanction crypto, it is one of the Russian Exchange SUEX, who are being used by crypto scammers, including all illegal activities (darkweb, ransomware etc). There is one problem though, it is based on Russia, so not sure if US treasury can shut it down.

As far as criminals in online world, even before the existence of crypto, there have been a lot. Do you guys still remember this? Nigerian Price Scam.
2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 24, 2021, 02:33:47 AM
Honestly when he has his head on his shoulders kyrie is as dangerous as anyone in the league.  Dude can score from any angle and creates all his own shots.  Very twitchy and hard to defend.  Problem is dude is a monster head case.  He can leave the team for 2 weeks at a time for some unknown reason.  Can't rely on a guy like that. Then there are the injuries.
Yes, I can't imagine how bad the Nets position will be if suddenly one of the trio stars gets injured and Kyrie will be in his emotional breakdown again.
With Harden left or Durant it will still be difficult just being a 1 headed monster. Having two or three will still be better than one shouldering all the offensive need of the team.
Last year was Harden's injury, what caused it maybe also from fatigue because he does it all. I am rooting for Mills to increase the energy of these guys and share what he learned from Spurs with Pops.

Mills is already a good addition to the team, sort of a role player, but if Kyrie continues with his antics, I think he will be given good minutes as starting five just like when he was with the Spurs. So Kyrie can't play around anymore because the Nets have a good back up of him.

Last year was really devastating to see Harden playing with a hamstring injury. It was only Durant but was not enough to beat the Bucks.
2778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of the London hard forks on ethereum on: September 24, 2021, 02:08:09 AM
Maybe I was misled or just plain wrong. I thought that London hardfork was going to reduce Ethereum gas fees. How wrong I was… Even disposing of my shitcoins is a problem

You are not mislead, they really supposed to solve and reduce the gas fees. But I think there's internal bickering between pools that's why the much hype London hardfork didn't do anything as far as transaction cost is.

And the opposite had happen, now the gas fees continue to rise and we will never see again Ethereum very fast with cheap transaction fees.
2779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto projects best facilitate obtaining passive income? on: September 23, 2021, 06:22:57 AM
I believe that earning passive income is the main path to financial freedom. Various altcoins and their projects have established various strategies for their investors to earn passive income, but not all are as effective or easy.

What crypto projects have the best features for obtaining passive income?
Holding any coins can help you to make returns but we can't consider it as passive income since the definition of passive income is all about something that generates you income every month or year without any effort from you.

Yeah, I do agree, but coins that is solid, mostly in the top 10 and then hold for at least a year, that will be passive income for me.

Just look at bitcoin for example, $3k at March 2020, then new all time high April 2021 at $64k. So if you have invested on bitcoin that time, you could have cash out some in April and make large profits already and still up to this day, the $3k price is making you good passive money at $43k. Same with ETH, ADA and BSC, if you fill your bags before the price exploded, surely, you are getting passive income.
2780  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not the end, $60k again on: September 23, 2021, 05:34:08 AM
I’ve been through the 2017 cycle, ” expert says referencing the ‘crypto crash’ of 2017 that saw many major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, lose major value. “I know that btc or altcoin are super volatile, like some days they can go down 80%.”,the price of btc is now above 40k$  and I think it will rise back to 50k$ to 60k$ few weeks from now so let us wait and saw how things change and don't get panic.

2017 boom and the immediate crash in 2018 is a very different scenario, that time the final catalyst was the bitcoin futures (CBoE and CME), and we really don't know what it is, investors buy the news. But then the bear market comes along, the only thing constant here is it's volatility. News, FUDs are still going to be part of it, investors who have gain knowledge and experience should know how to react and not be just selling off their bitcoin and letting institutions buying them at a discount.
