thoughts?
The whole gunman breaking into your house thing is absurd. How does gunman know which house to break in?

This scenario sounds like fear-mongering pro-gun fiction. If you have any real wealth stored in a paper wallet it belongs in a safety deposit box anyway, not in your home. They are very affordable.

True, they wouldnt know you had coins
necessarily but they might... didnt you
say you threw bitcoin parties?  Now
people know you have coins.

What if your coins are in a brain wallet?
Aren't yours?
No, my BTC are safe, but I appreciate your concern. I'm not the kind of person you fuck around with, and everyone in my city knows it. Anyone who doesn't would swiftly and seriously regret their ignorance.

Anyway I was smart enough to move 95% of my BTC out of the brain wallet and into 3 safety deposit boxes of 3 of my most trusted loved ones. Or maybe I'm lying. Guess you'll never know till you make the suicidal journey to my house!

I'm a girl.
2764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Debt Crisis: U.S. Demands 1.5 billion cash (Bitcoin to Rescue?) on: June 20, 2014, 01:37:19 AM
There was a time before capitalism

I'm well aware.  I wonder if you are aware of what its like?  Really like?
In the not-too-distant future they'll look back on capitalism and say, "I wonder if you are aware of what it was REALLY like? It was horrible, the vast majority lived as slaves in all but name..."

I'm afraid you are out of your depth, friend. Your myopia blinds you from the truth.

If you take all future obligations the US has promised our real national debt is north of 100 trillion dollars. That much money doesn't even exist.
Don't worry, we leave the vast majority of that debt to our children and grandchildren, essentially selling them off as slaves to foreign banksters before they're even born...

...Surely there won't be any negative political ramifications of that fact, eh?

2765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who wants more bitcoin expansion locally + a job on: June 20, 2014, 12:30:48 AM
Come 10 years money will be worthless and cryptos will create the way of taking place of normal fiat. And banks are already considering to stop printing money and just have accounts with Finger print access and token access and use to pay for stuff and one corporate company already coming up with the equipment to make this happen and have shops with no money in only other than machines that use finger print and other tec in a way like the contract-less debit cards
Ahh, fingerprint-verified wealth-based valuation of human beings, the true pathway to corporate neo-fascism. A world where your worth is determined entirely by your corporate owner. Combine with RFID implants at birth so they can track your location globally, finally they'll get slavery back.
2766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who wants more bitcoin expansion locally + a job on: June 19, 2014, 10:29:51 PM
try working in mcdonalds and ask for your wage upfront
try some freelance gardening, wash someone car and ask for money upfront.
Err, no thanks! Wage slavery is not my style anymore, did that for about a decade and got bored.

why do people think they can get money for nothing these days!!!
Hmm perhaps because our government oligarchs do it daily with no repercussions? We slaves just want in on the action...

2767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who wants more bitcoin expansion locally + a job on: June 19, 2014, 10:19:23 PM
a job.. in reality, involves getting off the sofa and doing work to earn your income. .. just thought you should know that
Oh damn really?! I had no idea, that sounds awful! Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely avoid jobs in that case!

Your title is still wrong by the way, this pursuit of yours still does not qualify as a job. Words have meanings, we ought to respect them else language becomes useless.

Now if you want to front me some money and offer a weekly or bi-weekly wage for doing this work, I would be interested and you could actually call it a job without misrepresenting yourself.
2768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CORRECTION: HSBC Isn’t Seeking Bitcoin Savvy Interns #bitcoin on: June 19, 2014, 07:37:25 PM
Bitcoin is an asset that banks could conceivably hold on their balance sheets, in a more business-as-usual scenario.
Banks can't do this legally YET though, because the regulatory framework is still being assembled as we speak.
2769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Debt Crisis: U.S. Demands 1.5 billion cash (Bitcoin to Rescue?) on: June 19, 2014, 07:35:09 PM
the brics are using other currencies now other than the usd reserve currency to settle trades. this is obviously unacceptable and argentina must be liberated.
2770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who wants more bitcoin expansion locally + a job on: June 19, 2014, 07:33:12 PM
I am not the boss of this, this is all for you lot to organise,

now, discuss
Than it's not a job, it's an entrepreneurial venture. You actually had me excited for a minute there, I could use a job to pass the time. Would help with my depression I'm sure.
2771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Argentina Debt Crisis: U.S. Demands 1.5 billion cash (Bitcoin to Rescue?) on: June 19, 2014, 07:27:10 PM
Capitalism is mass-theft and mass-exploitation

How loud you cry, yet there you are using your computer, powered by electricity on the internet, linking to youtube... all products of capitalism.
Man, why are capitalists always so weak at argument? I've destroyed this pitiful argument so many times I frankly can't even be bothered anymore. Hint: You don't understand history very well. It's a series of revolutions.

There was a time before capitalism, there will be a time after capitalism. "This too shall pass". Nothing escapes the march of time - not even your overwhelming ignorance.
2772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone else play with Bitcoins at work? on: June 19, 2014, 07:23:13 PM
I mostly just play with myself at work. I can't help it, work is so boring, while masturbation is so fun!

...yeah, it's hard for me to hold a job very long...
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why satoshi is gone? on: June 19, 2014, 07:09:44 PM
Worst case, USA probably has his private keys and will destroy Bitcoin whenever it wants to by releasing continuous stream of coins onto the markets for months on end.
We call that cheap coins. And that's your worst scenario? Cool.
A lot of people who already went in on Bitcoin don't understand that what's BAD for them (flood of coins for sale pushing BTC price down) is GOOD for others who haven't yet bought in (cheap coins for sale).

Far too many capitalists are like infants, they are only capable of considering themselves...
2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: These could be how bitcoins make banks obsolete! on: June 19, 2014, 06:47:40 PM
As we move into bitcoin economy , where there is merchant adoption universally and you are able to buy anything with bitcoin, there is no point an average guy would put his savings in a bank, He could save even a million dollars worth of money in a encrypted paper wallet.

Now banks will lose all the minimum balance that it recommends for having an account, Now banks will not have any money to loan out and hence the entire banking system collapses.

On the other side bitcoin  2.0 applications like counterparty, ethereum will enable crowdfunding and other financial derivatives and decentralized exchanges which will affect the investment banks. Because you don't rely on a central institution like banks to raise your capital.

What other ways could banks face disruption by bitcoin?

Banks fulfill more roles than just merchant services and depository accounts.  For instance, most businesses (large and small) need working capital lines of credit, loans for capital expenditures, etc..
It's not just business that rely on loans (DEBT) to survive, our entire house of cards economy does, from the biggest bank all the way down to the poorest consumers! That's all because the fractional reserve banking scam has MADE IT THAT WAY!

Bitcoin is the antidote to the cancer of debt-for-profit! Two videos everyone must see are: The biggest scam in history & Capitalism hits the fan.
2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is China so important for Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2014, 01:59:13 PM
The truth - and this will become apparent in time - is that China needs Bitcoin, not the other way around.
2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Early Adopters on: June 19, 2014, 01:13:53 PM
If you are reading this in the summer of 2014, and you have any BTC, congratulations. You are an early adopter, and you will soon be rich if you choose to hold.
I saw the Video although I believe in bitcoin but somewhere I found this video biased , because it only talks about successful companies like Twitter , Facebook , Google.  and their S curve , but there are also so many companies out there who never grows that big. We all know bitcoin is not a company[which is in favor of bitcoin] but it will not have a similar kinda of advertising , and will be restricted in use till some killer app comes out...
You misunderstand... The blockchain is the new technological innovation. Bitcion IS the first killer app, of many! Countless more apps are being developed right now as we speak, millions of dollars of funding being poured in to all sorts of new start-ups! An entire economy is springing up around Bitcoin RIGHT NOW! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is the beginning of a new era of finance innovation.
2777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is China so important for Bitcoin? on: June 19, 2014, 01:04:58 PM
Bitcoin does not need China. The Chinese can develop some shitty copycat altcoin, the same way they have developed copycat sites such as Baidu and Weibo. Enough of Chinese hypocrisy.  Angry

Watch your mouth!
We like to use Google, Youtube or Twitter etc but we could not.
It is Chinese Gov's decision instead of our choose!
As an informed American, I stand in solidarity with the Chinese people, and against the tyrannical Chinese government (and all governments). Don't worry, not all Americans are so ignorant. Some of us know there is a Chinese spirit of liberty crying out to be unchained.

It's not about Chinese vs. American. It's about billionaires vs. the rest of us.
2778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when major banks become supernodes? on: June 19, 2014, 01:01:55 PM
What exactly do you mean by a supernode? Never heard of the term...
If you're talking about the banks having a crap ton of nodes I don't really see an issue so long as there are a reasonable number of other nodes so that there is no foul play with transaction exclusion. But really it's unlikely that the banks will bother with large amounts of nodes - they only serve to relay and confirm transactions as legitimate.

A bank running a lot of nodes would be like a bank providing services for the competition for free.  Unless that bank makes money off bitcoin in some other way it does not make sense.
Exactly. People don't understand that running a bunch of nodes doesn't gain you access to oodles of free money the same way fractional reserve banking does. Bitcoin strips the power from banks and gives it to We the People.

Banks will want no part of it until they're left with no customers and no choices, and then they'll capitulate.
2779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marshall's auction.... It's a trap !!! on: June 19, 2014, 12:57:29 PM
Great opportunity for funds, etc to pick up totally clean bitcoins.
All Bitcoins are clean bitcoins. If you're worried about "dirty" coins, it's extremely simple and easy to tumble them clean.

More importantly, a people should not fear their government. A government should fear their people. Way too much slavethought in this forum, but I guess that's what happens when a government asserts a monopoly on violence for a long enough period of time.

Quote from: Beliathon
If you're not pissed off, you're not paying attention.
...or maybe we're not pissed off because we chose not to go into massive amounts of debt?
You mean you're not suffering today because the self from a decade ago didn't choose to go into massive debt chasing a broken American Dream?

Broken and useless for the ones who made dumbass decisions.

Prosperous and wide open road for people who has good head on their shoulders...
Sure, as long as "good head on their shoulders" is code for "white and from an upper-middle caste family". Such ignorance...

Even with more and more people getting college degrees, still the wages stagnate:

Possible strategy for the student today:
Max out all form of loans. Quickly so you do not have to consume to much while you do. Buy bitcoins. Go bancrupt, do not tell about your coins. Leave the scene, live without banks, spying, property that can be confiscated.
You'd certainly do better financially than most students! The sad part is most of these kids will never have any money with which to buy Bitcoins.

Fact: Capitalism is mass-theft and mass-exploitation.
