PS:
Any country coin should instantly be put on blacklist, it is the current scamming scheme of crypto, they will do it with every country until they are all used up and then think of a new scamming scheme

And what if said country coin pays out coins to the people they say they will? Some already have, or have feasible plans to do so.
2762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Liberation - Destroy Facist Operation Shitcoin Cleanout on: March 23, 2014, 06:39:44 PM
I don't see how it really benefits anyone in the longterm.

The guy who started the "movement" is a shitcoin creator himself.  Wipe out the competition and your coins are worth more.

Other members are pool operators.  That's where the DDOS attacks on pools come in.  Again, eliminating competition.

And that's not to mention the money they will make with the extortion scheme.

Well, I should have phrased it as -- I don't see how it benefits those who think it will increase their existing portfolio, and aren't already a scammer themselves. I know the OP of that thread made shitcoins, but really I don't see how they will increase in value much at this point. Unless he plans to come out with his own version of nation coins and is annoyed someone else beat him to the idea.

I didn't consider the pool operator angle. That does make sense.

And the extortion scheme... not sure if they were serious or not. It'd be insanely stupid to post criminal intent on a public board before committing such a crime.
2763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MapleCoin To Launch March 22nd on: March 23, 2014, 06:32:28 PM

These worthless scammers are pathetic.  As are the fools that support these worthless crap coins.

This is just another scam.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

As a scam exposer I wonder what your definition of a scam is? I mean, no premine, no IPO ... so the dev is somehow scamming people out of money?

I'll say upfront that I see no point to this coin. It's a copycat of his maza coin, no unique features, no coins going to Canadians, and I see nothing really worthwhile in it. But I don't see any scam.

2764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Liberation - Destroy Facist Operation Shitcoin Cleanout on: March 23, 2014, 06:06:55 PM
There is no real way to destroy such a movement, although people can certainly speak out against it. If they go as far as extortion, as had been mentioned in the shitcoin thread, then authorities/police could get involved, however.

What I don't quite get is one simple thing ... why do they think that killing a handful of shitcoins will all of a sudden increase the value of bitcoin? Or established alts that I expect many in that thread happen to own?

Bitcoin value has gone down to shady exchanges (Gox) and trust issues. Activities like they suggest won't necessarily correlate to bitcoin or any alts going up in value. In fact, it very well could decrease the money going into cryptos in general, as new people here probably wouldn't feel so keen on investing in anything if they think a bunch of vigilante hackers can all of a sudden destroy their coin.

And what do they plan to do, fork every single new coin that comes out, forever? And then fork every single shitcoin alt already in existence? They are going to waste their pool on that? I don't see how it really benefits anyone in the longterm. The people who started that thread make shitcoins or are scammers themselves. Then we get those who join in, probably because their portfolio has decreased in value, thinking if they lash out at someone... something... they can do something. But it very well may have the opposite effect than they planned.

I also find it bizarre how people misuse the word scam here. Scam implies the dev is somehow deceiving people. They start an IPO and then vanish with the funds. They have a giant premine meant for promotion and instead cash it out themselves. Those could be thought of as scams, but there is no way to know if it's a scam until after... well, the scam is perpetrated. People don't use the word scam to describe just that here though ... a coin that is a copycat with a new meme ... small premine... scamcoin. A coin that looks like it may eventually be a scam (IPO, Airdrop, whatever), is automatically a scamcoin even before any scam is committed.

The biggest problem with cryptos aren't such perceived scamcoins. It's shady exchanges. Gox, Coinex, etc ... a couple more go down, and people will simply not invest in cryptos anymore, or get involved to begin with.
2765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ✠ The Official AltCoin WhiteList ➢ For Real Coins☆With Real Devs☆With Real Goals on: March 23, 2014, 05:25:40 PM
This list is such a silly idea. All you have to do is look at any coin recommendation threads here, or threads about coins to invest in, and see what happens. You get a million diverse opinions, very few valid ones, and mostly positive comments about coins that the person posting just happens to own.

2766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Greececoin (GRCE) - LAUNCHED GET MINING!! - ENJOY & LETS GO GREECECOIN! on: March 22, 2014, 09:05:29 PM
Looking at this at Bittrex ... curious... what is up with the btc sums when bidding?

The total coins x price doesn't equal what is stated for the total sum. It's not just for greececoin, just wondering if it's a bittrex bug or something. I put a bid in, and the total btc sum is listed as much higher than I even have on the exchange.

Haha... This what a SCAMMER loves to say. I have just download once again. "bitcoin" word is still there. This is fact. Everybody can try this. LOL

Out of curiosity, I just checked this.

Mine says HongKongCoin Wallet. So you are flat out lying, or somehow got the wrong wallet there.
2768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 06:57:24 PM

If a new coin came out say XPM and it had a certification from the community stating its a good coin of sorts would that be good / useful ?
I think it might.. because new users would see it and say what is that about ? and then maybe from that point start looking at things differently.
Lets not forget this is all overwhelming for new users and they have to learn a lot fast.. such as what coins to get involved with.
and hypers shell accounts etc sway new users with propaganda hard to get them to buy in hard, even if they know its a pump and dump and people are going to get burned..

Since the majority of this thread has little to do with defining a scam coin, or really protecting newbies, I'm not sure how many members are really interested in such an idea -- unless they can charge a 10 btc fee for 'certifying' each coin, and of course non-certified coins need to be destroyed via extortion. So far all I have seen  here are ideas on how to make people money via extortion, mob mentality and destruction.

If you, or anyone here, wanted to certify a coin, it'd require a group with actual authority that had some respect from the community. Who would respect anyone who has agreed to the ideas outlined in this thread (besides criminals)?

But if being sincere, create a crypto blog or post articles here, outline what coins you feel should be invested in, which coins are scams and should be passed over. Don't use emotion, rely on specs. But again, so far I haven't even seen a clear definition of what is considered a scam here by any members ... they pick and choose coins they have a beef with, devs they don't like, coins they feel lower bitcoin's value, etc. Basically they make up their own definition of what a scam means.

Cryptobuddy, a couple of suggestions:

Read a book on psychology, and it will really help your trolling efforts. As stated, you have gone way overboard, so you no longer look like a sane person with actual concerns. You look like, well, what you are, an insane troll ... so even valid concerns are overlooked due to your outlandish claims. Posting in multiple threads, nonstop, makes you look like someone being paid to do this, someone with an ulterior motive, or someone who is simply insane.

The weird thing is, every time you post you bring these threads to the top, so people who may not even know about the coin, nor would invest in it, now are more likely to do so. If you simply did nothing at all, you probably would have been better off.
2770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 06:10:34 PM

Dont forget to add ColossusCoin!!!

Yeah, I have a feeling the OP may have purposely forgotten that one, seeing as he made it himself.

So we have a shitcoin maker, a failed exchange owner who lost/stole bitcoins, several puppet accounts and a small number of bitcoin holders upset that alts have seemingly lowered the value of their coins. We of course also have that fellow who suggested outright extortion, as well as implied physical violence (RL address/members will pay them a visit in case of problems) ....

Yeah, this seems to be on the up and up to me. No ulterior motives, people want to do this to simply clean up scam coins. Although the definition of scam is evidently rather malleable, basically meaning whatever it is people here seem to think it means.

The key reason bitcoins have sunk is due to shady exchanges, and basically things like what people are suggesting to do here ... not beecoin, etc. and coins that will fade away on their own. I'm not sure how much of what is suggested here is simply trolling, as I can't believe anyone would be idiotic enough to post criminal intentions on a public board before committing a crime.
2771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 22, 2014, 01:15:43 AM
This effort isn't just being launched by a bunch of noobs.  From what I can tell, we've got a group of standup senior members/hero members who would be organizing it.

These senior members you speak of are a shitcoin maker as well as someone who just 'lost' a bunch of bitcoins on his exchange that belonged to other people ... someone who many here consider a scammer. I wonder what your definition is of the word 'standup'.

What you are proposing is clear extortion. Either you are a troll and just playing with people, or are completely ignorant.

Enough about the mafia wankers, what's going on with this coin?  Haven't heard any news in awhile.

Not sure, but the new website looks pretty decent.

2773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm a noob looking to throw a couple hundred at a single coin... on: March 22, 2014, 01:04:54 AM
Best to do your own research. Most here will just mention whatever coins they are invested in. You'll get people saying GoldCoin is the new standard! Or Beecoin is going to the moon ... or similar nonsense.

Safe bet: BTC.

If a risk taker, you could also  put some in DarkCoin, or wait for Ethereum. And maybe play the pump and dump game with a small amount of funds and hope for the best.

And I'm not quite sure I feel so safe with POS coins, as at first glance, one would say 10-20% return on investment is nice. But there is so much variability in price, who knows what the coin will be worth a year from now. You may gain 20% in extra coins, but lose 50% in overall value.

2774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 21, 2014, 11:04:26 PM
This thread degraded really quickly. And by degraded, I mean it went from suspect behavior to suggesting outright criminality.

We have the OP, who used to make shitcoins himself. Some still exist, so I guess you guys will go after coins the OP was part of, strangely. Then we have the fellow who ran OpenEx, which 'lost' a lot of its customer's bitcoins -- many consider him a scammer. So there is somewhat suspect morality in those who even brought this up to begin with. And suspect motives too.

Now we get extortion threats, which at first I assumed you were joking about.

If people really want to clean up shitcoins, make a blog, write articles, or post critical threads here on why you think certain coins may not be worth putting money into. This doesn't mean to troll or spam the threads with stupid memes or nonsense either. Or make your own coins, if you feel you can make something worthwhile. Again, the OP can make a coin, but whether it would be worthwhile is another question.

Instead people seem to be going the easy route: mob mentality, criminality, brute force, and destroying other coins.

It's rare that I can agree with a post on the maza thread, so I'll jump at the opportunity - you're right, these self-appointed nazi's are behaving in an even shittier way than the shitcoins they claim to police, even shittier than maza.......... sorry, couldn't resist  Wink

Not so much Nazis, but definitely Mafioso. This is what they're suggesting in that thread:

allow coin devs to submit applications proving that their coin is legit.  The application can have a BTC fee associated with it.. to prevent attacks to their coin.

Complete and utter extortion.

I haven't been around here long enough to know how things work here, but on any normal forum, most of the people supporting that thread would be banned. They are supporting criminal activity and mafia style tactics. I realize the alt section isn't moderated a ton, but still ... shouldn't that be the sort of thing that gets people thrown off this forum?

This...

Cryptobuddy, you are acting childish and in the process are responsible for hurting the reputation of Hong Kong and Hong Kong people.  You've even spammed the Spaincoin and Aphroditecoin threads.

Pull it together man.  I suggest going forward you try to be more constructive.
I suggested in one of his many threads that he try to help the dev, rather than troll him. But I expect that won't occur.

He also spammed the Greece thread, and the Maza thread too...

Really, he is putting Hong Kong in a very bad light, which is probably the opposite of his supposed intentions. Unless he wants to make it look like Hong Kong is full of ultra nationalistic, crazy people.
2777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HongKongCoin |Coingen Coin|A BIG SCAM|No Integrity| No Hong Kong People Involved on: March 21, 2014, 06:41:21 PM

Don't worry.. I won't troll other national coin threads. I have no intention to get rid of other national coins.

However, HongKongCoin really has severe problems. Being a HKer, I have to do something to protect the fame of HK.

This may be a weird suggestion, but have you considered helping the dev, instead of trolling him? And I sure hope not all Hong Kong people are as ultra nationalistic as you are.

2778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HongKongCoin |Coingen Coin|A BIG SCAM|No Integrity| No Hong Kong People Involved on: March 21, 2014, 06:12:52 PM
And Cryptobuddy just posted his leaky faucet problem in the maza thread. If that doesn't say he's trolling (or nuts), not sure what does.

I just searched your previous posts, and came up to this idea. Thanks for inspiring me some thoughts.

I think it is important to let people know faucet is not a correct way to distribute national coins to a specific target group of people.

Some context in the post you made may have helped a tiny bit. Right now it looks like you are trolling a coin that has nothing to do with Hong Kong coin.

If the faucet idea can't be made to work, I personally like the idea of using email addresses from internet providers specific to a particular nation or region + IP check as a backup, as a way to signup for the freebie coins. I suggested it to a couple of nation coins, but don't think anyone is going that way.

these guys that participate in operation shitcoin needs to be called out...they are picking the winners and losers...

Besides the fact that their idea of what a shitcoin is, and isn't is, is rather broad, their motives are really, really suspect.

The OP of that shitcoin thread used to make shitcoins himself. That may be the reason he posted an exclusion on coins older than 8 months old. His coins were just as bad as the ones they want to bring down.

The other fellow who is so eager to kill shitcoins ran OpenEx, cheated people out of bitcoins, and to many people, is considered a scammer himself.

It's really a weird thread there. And either they wish to profit by putting money back into more established coins that they own, or have some other reason that benefits them. They certainly aren't doing it to protect anyone.
