Bitcoin is on an ever-upward trend lately. Today, the world’s first and most popular cryptocurrency is flirting with $4,500 in valuation. Bitcoin is now more than three times more valuable than gold., and, according to one expert, Ronnie Moas of Standpoint Research, we are still only at the tip of the iceberg. Moas spoke with CoinDesk about his forecast for the cryptomarket. He predicts that all cryptocurrencies will be worth $2 trillion in the next 10 years, a significant bump from their current standing at $150 billion. Moas sees a direct parallel between the crypto market and the “dot-com boom” of the 1990s. More @ https://futurism.com/expert-predicts-bitcoin-will-be-worth-up-to-20000-in-the-next-three-years/

Jihan's studies in Economics and Psychology @ Peking University should tell you he never makes a move without carefully planning it. No surprise

Looks nice even though the copycat part did not look good. Any thoughts on implementing investment options so that you can increase your bankroll as well? Low house edge attracts players but you need a larger BR. I'll keep an eye on this

I followed this thread closely and I also had a small profit adjusting my casino investments. Your experience though is truly amazing: from 3000 to 24000 that's no peanuts. Well done!

We went ATH before being stopped again. I see a bit of sideways next if not another small correction down. Golden rule still applies in these days: hold.

The rising tide for cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple have lately shaken the investing world. Among the lot, bitcoin has been firing on all cylinders since the beginning of 2017, having hit a series record highs. In three months, the price of the digital currency has surged about 94%. Investors should note that bitcoins are ‘mined’ by using a greater amount of computer processing power. However, since there is a fixed amount of bitcoins, as the limit is reached, it becomes hard to ‘mine’ for the coins. The best part of this system is that it is beyond the reach of central banks (read: Explaining Bitcoin and Crypto Currency). New all-time high incoming! 🚂
Confirmed. Usually we were used to say that the next 24 hrs will be critical. As the 24hrs which will come next. If you ask me we will have to wait a bit more for the new ATH. BCH mining is profitable again and now we have less hashing power on BTC: while this stay this way no ATH my friends @Jimbo Special morning coffee with an Organic Peruvian blend 100% Arabica.... You would probably love it.

While people have been waiting for the long wanted ETF there are investors who are taking advantage of a kind of ETF. Did you know about the GBTC, Bitcoin Investment Trust? By all means an ETF will come but smart big investors already started getting their hands dirty. https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GBTC/

Hyperinflation has been one of the products of a political crisis in Venezuela that has led to people searching for alternative means to buy necessities. Bitcoin mining has come to the rescue as the citizens take advantage of cheap electricity. Earning up to about $500 a month through mining, many citizens are getting by on the digital coin as they bypass electricity costs and ditch fiat currency. So many alt currencies died that way. All those copycats were simple P&D schemes which gave the developers ( ???can we call them this way???) a bit of cash. It seems like we are back in 2013/2014 where useless coins came to life. Today we have ICOs...... To each his own

Hi SD, at some point you told you were thinking of a SD 2. Is it still on your roadmap? I used to like your site very much but lately you had a bit of troubles even though you handled all of them. If you will consider to improve site support I think you can be again one of the best dice sites out there. By the way, good move to implement BCH correctly

Needs proper date formatting to be in the News Section.
Thanks...
I think Jeff Garzik has a lot to do then to come here and request proper formatting for the News. We would need a new moderator for this section which has never been as popular as it is today. I hope OP at least will fix it.

So does anyone notice any difference in the transaction or confirmation speeds now when the segwit is finally activated?
It's not automatic pal. The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 420 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top. For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 94,920 satoshis. Still no difference

The real question here is how long before Bitcoin can't be stopped on its exponential way high? Billions of fiat money found their way into crypto and we should already be over 10k per BTC. I understand how they control the Gold market but I don't think they could do the same with bitcoin for long.
Time will tell

The real party has just begun. The New York agreement (aka compromise) will have to prove itself solid otherwise we are going to see a lot of fireworks in the next months. The whole Bitcoin Cash thing will be a minor glitch compared to the fork that could sparkle from the fall of the NYA. Popcorns are ready

The less than one-month-old digital currency Bitcoin Cash recently experienced a significant reduction in its mining difficulty following a difficulty adjustment. The code specifies that if not enough blocks are found in a certain period of time, a difficulty adjustment will occur. As a result of this 60% reduction in difficulty, the cryptocurrency temporarily became more profitable than Bitcoin to mine. Bitcoin Cash, for a time, attracted nearly 40% of Bitcoin’s miners. Why destroying a mobile phone to mine a few nickels if you are lucky? Not even the fastest intel cpu can have a decent profit, how do you expect a mobile phone to make money for you?
