2761  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need advice - Planning to develop a blockchain-based mobile game on: April 03, 2020, 03:45:49 AM
However, my concept isn't gambling since the game I am trying to develop is more on brain-type in the form of quizzes.

I think you missed my point.  You are talking apples and oranges.  It doesn't matter what the game is, if you are going to eventually pay people more than others, you will need to tread carefully to avoid gambling restrictions.

You could raise money by forcing people to donate to you.  Depends on if you are a sociopath.

Rates: 25$/h (this can be less, and it is fixed.)

Millions of people are trapped at home.  You'll probably need to lower your rates by 90% before you get any offers from people not trying to scam you.  Your code is no different than someone who is charging $2/hour.  :/
2763  Other / Meta / Re: Coronavirus / Covid-19 Word Counting on: April 03, 2020, 03:27:21 AM
I'm showing 12,014 posts with "coronavirus" or "Covid-19" in the post data.  :/

Edit:   Quotes are also counted right now...  so if someone quotes a post with one of these terms, it will count.
2764  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoNewsNet on: April 03, 2020, 03:07:21 AM
What does the software that it asks you to install say? I have tried loading on 4 different browsers and never once got that message

Try it on Chrome (Version 80.0.3987.163 (Official Build) (64-bit))

The message exists, even if you want to deny it.  :/

2765  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed or cigarettes on: April 03, 2020, 02:37:12 AM
Smoking anything weakens the lungs.  Not the brightest thing to do when we're in a pandemic that attacks the lungs.  :/
2766  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Pls PRAY For ITALIAN's & Other Part Of The World on: April 03, 2020, 01:45:15 AM
People should have thought of this "prayer" thing during WW2.   We could have saved millions of Jewish lives.  :/
2767  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fresh Bitcoin merchants directory & map - Cryptwerk.com on: April 03, 2020, 01:37:28 AM
I notice on the front page you have "Top companies" which I assume is based on the votes of registered members?  How do you vet these members and verify they are real?  Are you ever going to accept payment to be listed as a top company?

You should add a lot more disclaimers on your page, or you could be liable if someone invests something based on your recommendation.
2768  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need advice - Planning to develop a blockchain-based mobile game on: April 03, 2020, 01:32:59 AM
I've been investigating running a game based on bitcointalk attributes, where you buy land, increase skills, sell items, etc.   The last player standing wins the pot.

You need to be very careful with gambling laws.   What you are doing is no different than running a raffle or contest.
2769  Other / Meta / Re: [April Fools] This better not be what I think it is... on: April 01, 2020, 01:38:44 AM
Apparently it's a selective virus.  Foxpup and khaled0111 are infected, so far everyone else in this thread is safe symptom free.

Queue the threads on moderation favoritism...   Undecided

Maybe we are supposed to figure out how it spreads?  Do you need to post in a thread of an infected person?

2771  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: March 29, 2020, 11:33:17 AM
I like to think the feedback I've left doesn't really depend on how the community "vibes" at any moment.

So you would rather it depend on a lottery system, where everyone has an equal and growing chance?

this will give gangs advantages and gang representatives will get into d1

Adding a filter never increases the number of results...
2772  Other / Off-topic / Re: You are responsible too on: March 29, 2020, 06:58:39 AM
I would seriously start praying against this people if they continue in their wicked way.
Are you 10 years old? Since when do adults divide everything into black and white and think in such primitive planes.

I think that one word in her quote shows you her thinking.  Heaven or Hell.  Right or Wrong.

2773  Other / Off-topic / Re: Features that can be weaponized against "decentralized tech" on: March 29, 2020, 06:56:02 AM
Note: by full Permission/Trust I mean decentralized platforms that require trust or permission at the beginning or when you have not broken any rule.

I have a friend who wants to know your bank PIN.   He hasn't done anything wrong.
2774  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: March 29, 2020, 05:00:55 AM

I will periodically (maybe every month) be reconstructing the default trust list to include everyone who matches these criteria:
 - If rank was determined solely using earned merit, then you must be of at least Member rank.
 - You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days.
 - Your trust list must include at least 10 users, not including ~distrust entries.
 - You must not be banned or manually blacklisted from selection.
 - You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.
 - You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.
 - You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.

(Forgive me, didn't catch up on entire thread)

 - You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days.
 - You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.

What about an addition criterion?
 - You must have learned xx merit in the last yy days?

Such an addition would remove me, since I have not been making useful posts recently.  But it would make the list more closely match the current community vibe.

I am never completely tied to anything, but let's try this for at least a few months and see how it works.

Any thoughts you'd like to share?
2775  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who own bpip.org? on: March 29, 2020, 04:53:12 AM
For full disclosure, I began working with Vod as a designer starting around April of 2018. A lot of work was put in from Vod to create and develop BPIP from the beginning, which I think began sometime in 2016? (Vod can correct me if I'm wrong here!). A lot of work has been put in by all, including suchmoon and myself.. which, for me, has made it a fun project to work on, as it has become a team effort and has consistently been improved upon.. not to mention the community support & suggestions/bug reports, which keeps our to-do lists active and opens up additional room for improvements, on top of the planned improvements already slated! Smiley

It was fun, and I missed it when I started on my new project.  I'm still finding little bits of BPIP info everywhere on my computer.  You and SM were so great in teaching me concepts and although I never did learn CSS, I know enough to contract out for it!  To think if I had never been hacked we prob might not have ever started working together, and the project would have died in Feb 2019.

Working with machine learning is not as fun as compiling stats of a cutthroat forum though.  And my new domain name is not a sweet sounding unique abbreviation, so I don't expect it will be targeted like this.

@bpip.org - you've reached the top 30 least trusted since I drooped the bottom limit of -9999.  Unless your plan is to associate those letters with dishonesty, you should probably just abandon the account.
2776  Economy / Reputation / Re: NastyNews! Ongoing impeachment of OGNASTY. on: March 28, 2020, 03:14:15 AM
I am suspending all activity regarding the final destinations of OGNasty's 1000+ BTC theft until the virus issue has passed.   Stress weakens the immune system.   All changes are being documented and can be readdressed when this crisis has passed.  Everyone stay free!
2777  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. on: March 28, 2020, 03:09:31 AM
Finally... Do you think someone with a history of lying and not being able to hold a job, currently suffering with serious health issues, who has admitted alcohol problems and is currently attempting to flee their country should be raising money from this community for a project with the stated purpose of funding their retirement?

Bullshit contributes to global warming and you must have spent a bit of time creating that...

Once AGAIN I will be the bigger man.  I'm suspending all investigation into your theft of 1000+ btc until this virus crisis has passed.  We have waited years for our coin - we can wait a few more months (hopefully).  Let's concentrate on health.
2778  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who own bpip.org? on: March 28, 2020, 02:59:57 AM
I am not talking about the website  Grin I know Vod own this website for a long time now.

I built the website, but it's owned by the BPIP Team.

That account bpip.org is not affiliated with me, so I will tag it.
2779  Other / Meta / Re: History - Bitcoin Savings and Trust and Pirateat40 on Bitcointalk (PONZI) on: March 27, 2020, 08:43:16 PM
I don't see anything ever actually coming of this from any court. I think all we can do is put the evidence out there and let people decide for themselves.

I agree 100%.   If you can find the blockchain records, we can make an active chart for each ponzi investor that showed
investor name, btc invested vs btc returned and current USD$ price on the difference.

That page can show live values of the $$ OG stole in his ponzi.  One of them may be encouraged enough to hire a lawyer and test the uncharted waters here.  Or the public and local attention OG receives may force him to flee a state yet again.  it might even convince OG to feel for others and get a tang of guilt.
2780  Economy / Reputation / OGNASTY acting like a pedophile on: March 27, 2020, 08:35:17 PM
Wave of questions that I awoke to:

- How much money OG's parents gave him for a down payment to help him flee California.    (You didn't tell your neighbor that)
- What hospital did I put OG's partner in.   (They don't list the hospital in the charges, just the detail of breaking the nose)
- Why did my parents and I become estranged?  (See above)
- Where is my new car the community paid for?  (You kept that one hidden from me)
- Who were the victims of my insurance policies? How’s that meeting with the SEC going?   (I'm sure you know staff is reduced right now.)
- Any luck with the IRS?  (The last update I have is they removed two boxes of papers from your house in Oct)

Of course, this is all standard perverted deflection.

Keep following *this* thread to see if OG refunds any of the thousands of bitcoins he stole from the community.
