2761  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Problems on: March 09, 2017, 02:49:21 AM
I can open the wallet with the coins, but is there a way to setup the google authenticator after the fact now. I have the master public keys for this wallet since I can open it.

Someone else with a similar "invalid otp" problem to yours started a thread about it here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1317740.0

Someone from trustedcoin advised him to contact them here about Google Authenticator problems.

https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/contact-us

If you have the seed you can restore full control and bypass google authenticator by creating a new wallet from the seed. The instructions are here.

What can I do?

Antpool mined the block with your fee in it.

You could try sending a pm to BITMAIN who started antpool's thread here, or asking what to do in the antpool thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855548.0

You might also consider starting a thread about it in antpool's forum.

https://enforum.bitmain.com/

If you registered on antpool's site you could send it a ticket here.

http://support.bitmain.com/

What wallet were you using? The whole community should avoid that wallet like the plague.

Most wallets would at least warn you before paying a sky high fee, the same as they would warn you about a low fee.

Best time to buy is when there is blood in the streets right?

I'd hardly call it blood in the streets yet. At present it's just a few scabs floating past in the wind and getting caught in your moustache.

Completely agree, this is people panicking that etf isn't going to be approved after a run where people were speculating it was... I can't wait for tomorrow and Friday. if it starts to tank it might just implode several hundred dollars all at once.
I would say this is more caused by China keeping withdrawals off in the exchanges. Doesn't that seem like the heavier influence specifically for today of all days when they were to return?

After the dust settles people will realise that a further delay on Chinese exchange withdrawals reduces the available supply of Bitcoins on the market. If the ETF gets approved that could significantly enhance the resultant pump.

The FUDs at its peak now because the news is fresh and getting plastered all over the internet.

Quote
OKCoin, BTCC, and Huobi have all announced they will delay the withdrawals once again, as they need to make some more changes based on feedback provided by the regulatory authorities.

Once regulatory approval has been granted, bitcoin withdrawals will be made available once again.

Thank you

Use this site to get them confirmed. It's overloaded but keep trying to get it to accept your transactions until it says acceleration succeeded. You might have to keep trying a few times an hour for a few hours.

2765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0-fee transaction on: March 08, 2017, 11:32:57 PM
...you could contact the user quickseller in roder to accelerate your transaction (you'll have to pay for this also).

In addition to Quickseller there is another user called macbook-air who also provides a transaction acceleration service. Both of them have access to mining pools and charge a fee for the service.  Quickseller's got good reviews.

I faced a similar issue a few days back transaction not getting confirmed due to low fee but user "QuickSeller" got my transaction confirmed in minutes when I sent him 0.0001 BTC. He has access to some pool . PM him.

2766  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit Unconfirmed Problem :( on: March 08, 2017, 11:16:43 PM
A few other people had similar problems. You can read about it in this thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1785575.0

One of them solved his problem by importing his multibit wallet words into breadwallet on his phone. You need either an iPhone or one of the latest androids to run breadwallet.

A mycelium wallet running on an older android might also be able to import multibit wallet words. The quote below explains what to do, but I'm not sure if it works because I don't know of anyone who's tested it yet. Apparently you have to use the "Rescan Account" option after importing your wallet words.

You could try installing Mycelium if your phone doesn't have the pre-reqs for bread wallet. You can use MultiBit HD wallet words in Mycelium, but according to these github posts you have to use Mycelium's "Rescan Account" option afterwards to get it to show your balance. Those github posts were made in 2014/2015, so if mycelium has been improved since you might be able to skip the "Rescan Account" step.

https://github.com/keepkey/multibit-hd/issues/687

Quote
The addresses generated between Mycelium and MultiBit HD are the same for the Account 1.
Unfortunately there seem to be some optimisations in Mycelium that mean that they are not fully interoperable. Both Mycelium and MBHD have 'full rescans' where you (most likely) see everything but this is not practical for daily use.

I found my answer. "Rescan Account" option after selecting the account under accounts. Now I have all of account history back.

Nothing was on it.

Ill try blockchain again but I couldnt figure it out using blockchain.

Ive read the guides but I never get to a part where there is a spot to import your key.

There's probably nothing on the coin, but to be sure try importing your key into electrum, versions 2.6 and later support importing the mini private key format used in casascius coins.

https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/RELEASE-NOTES

Quote

Release 2.6

Support minikeys as used in Casascius coins for private key import and sweeping

Download electrum from this page and import your key into that.

https://download.electrum.org/2.7.18/

If you are running windows then download the portable version, create a new folder, and run it in that.

https://download.electrum.org/2.7.18/electrum-2.7.18-portable.exe

Use the settings shown in these screenshots.

Import your private key into the window shown below, then just keep clicking the next button on the successive screens and leave the settings at their defaults.

Afterwards electrum should sync almost immediately and show you your casascius coin's balance.
2768  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Problems on: March 08, 2017, 10:12:17 PM
Why don't you have the seed words for your wallet? Didn't you back them up when you created the wallet, or did you create the wallet by importing private keys?
2769  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed Parent? on: March 08, 2017, 07:27:43 PM
Hey guys, would appreciate the help. I'am new to bitcoins and am facing some problems with my Electrum transaction. Pretty much the same thing, I made a transaction 3 days ago, it said "unconfirmed parent" and money hasn't been transferred. The person receiving the transaction has said they can see the coins but not access it. Now the unconfirmed parent has gone and it say's "low fee". But I'm worried the bitcoins I transferred to my Electrum wallet never reached it in the first place as next to area that show's my balance it says "- unconfirmed" next to the amount. Plz help, is this only due to a low fee paid and where are my coins?

My transaction ID is: 3e2389fcd405897d41b0cca646bc04127fb215a45b515647bcbf8d84ca1097d3

Any Help would be Appreciated!

Keep submitting your transaction ID to this page until it says its been accepted. The mining pool that runs the page will then confirm your transaction for you. The page has a limit on transactions per hour that it accepts, so you have to keep trying it.

EatonABooger revealed the reason they left the decision date until the weekend, so they could delay it until the 13th. I don't think they can find a way to delay it beyond that.

sorry if this has already been posted...   found on Reddit.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The March 11 date came about because it is 180 days from the publication of the proposed BATS rule change in the Federal Register - there can be no more 45 or 90 day delays - SEC must approve or reject, with no decision = acceptance (Rule 19, Sec Exch Act of 1934)...

But look at how time periods for publications in the Federal Register are calculated pursuant to 1 CFR 18.17(b):

"Dates certain will be computed by counting the day after the publication day as one, and by counting each succeeding day, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. However, where the final count would fall on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the date certain will be the next succeeding Federal business day."

That would put us at Monday, March 13 for the deadline.

Yesterday tha website told me "Acceleration succeeded"

I successfully submitted your transaction again. Hopefully viabtc should include it in their next block. I have never read any complaints that it didn't confirm a transaction before. Maybe the site getting overloaded is creating problems in their system.

This is a screenshot of what the page looked like after I submitted your transaction.

I'm pretty sure because what i've sent here was copy and paste here...... What can i do with this money now ? any change to send to another address or send half of amount and again half?

Thanks

Did you fill out the captcha and press the submit button?

What did the webpage look like afterwards?

Did it look like this?

Or did it look like this?

I keep trying to input the transaction ID below, but it keeps saying submissions are beyond the limit at the moment. If it had already accepted it the page should say so.

Hi again ,

I was sending yesterday again the transaction with fees 0.0033 ... here are the details of transaction. How is that possible to don't found the transaction on blockchain and still to be unconfirmed,

Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool, broadcast through 21 node(s)
Date: 3/7/2017 18:48
Debit: -0.13825660 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.00063360 BTC
Net amount: -0.13889020 BTC
Transaction ID: d163514ad6b443f854fa297def3dd3a02a30b4cb2fcf0b8a02c8b8d989254be3
Output index: 0

What i can do ?

Is that transaction an attempt to double spend the coins that got stuck yesterday? It's difficult to do a double spend after the whole network has seen your first transaction.

Are you sure the viabtc transaction accelerator accepted your transaction yesterday? It's still not confirmed, and it should have been because viabtc mined four blocks since you said the accelerator had accepted your transaction yesterday. These are the UTC times viabtc mined blocks.

2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction Not Found, What Happened To It? on: March 08, 2017, 02:56:45 AM
Your transaction is part of a double spend. The same coins were spent twice in two different transactions, and only one of the transactions got confirmed. Blocktrail's explorer shows both transactions.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/1fbc532b8a4b5ce39efedbab60a727dc058da272cf04e8245acf75be768e33f3

I'd complain to whoever sent you the payment.

The coins were sent to
Code:
1BQfXF65ewHM4PLr6S1MTuDC5fMkePpGkb
in the second transaction, instead of to
Code:
1CFtD4N4nK3pU8kgCcEMHyQDLZ3ebtWANz
which was the destination address in the first transaction.
2775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool on: March 08, 2017, 02:34:53 AM
Anyway ...can you help me  with fees ... how much to put the fees at this transaction to have 6 confirmations in max 30 minutes? ?

This site gives a guide to the best fee at any particular time.

https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

It currently says about 200 satoshis/byte, which is 200000 sats per KB, or 0.002 BTC per KB.

However I have an electrum wallet installed that also gives a guide to the best fee. That recommends a higher fee of 0.0033 BTC per KB, which is 330000 sats per KB, or 330 satoshis/byte.

As the network has a massive backlog of unconfirmed transactions I suggest using the higher 0.0033 BTC per KB fee.
2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool on: March 08, 2017, 02:17:03 AM
So they can confirm the first transaction even if made this second transaction ? ( this second transaction was made after i deleted the first transaction from history with "zapwallettxes=1")

Thanks Bro !

Yes they can confirm the first transaction because their node probably didn't see the second one, and would reject it if it did. I read about someone else who tried the accelerator and a double spend. The accelerator ignored the double spend and confirmed his first transaction.
2777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool on: March 08, 2017, 02:03:31 AM
So ... what can i do the best ?

Ir's probably best to wait for viabtc to confirm your transaction. They will probably mine a block in the next few hours and confirm it for you. I know it works because I submitted a few people's stuck transactions to the accelerator, and it confirmed them all.
2778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool on: March 08, 2017, 01:53:58 AM
Someone teached me before to write here my problem to add this in bitcoin.conf : zapwallettxes=1

I made it and my money was back in my wallet. Now i made the transaction again to the same address ... when i try to find the transaction on blockchain , doesn't exist ... can you help me ? You have all details again , here :

Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool, broadcast through 4 node(s)
Date: 3/7/2017 17:30
Debit: -0.13847308 BTC
Transaction fee: -0.00041712 BTC
Net amount: -0.13889020 BTC
Transaction ID: cfabe242af680cbbc49f26682304cdb5ee00b8fdbc10f6c7f4587cbbdbd15352
Output index: 0

I couldn't find it on any block explorer either, but that's not unusual. Most nodes only accept the first transaction they see unless your first transaction was marked release by fee. That makes it difficult to do a double spend after most of the nodes have seen your first transaction.
2779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool on: March 08, 2017, 01:28:53 AM
Acceleration succeeded  , do you think that will works ? How long takes until they will confirm ?

I know it works, but you have to wait until the viabtc pool mines a block. That can take anywhere between almost immediately, and half a day. You can find a list of the last blocks viabtc mined, and their times at this link. Their last block was half an hour ago.

https://blockchain.info/blocks/ViaBTC

if you get very lucky another pool might include your transaction in a block before viabtc, and you won't have to wait as long. However, if another pool doesn't include it then viabtc will.
2780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Status: 0/unconfirmed, in memory pool on: March 08, 2017, 01:14:01 AM
Instead of trying a double spend you could try pasting your transaction's ID into the site linked below. It's run by a mining pool that confirms transactions pasted into it. Unfortunately it gets overloaded, so you will have to keep trying a few times an hour until it accepts your transaction.
