AEON, AUR, BLU, CRYPT, DNS, DRKC, EBT, KEY, LOL, MON, NAS, NTX, PMC, SHOPX, SILK, UTIL, and VOOT. ...... Since I was hodling all 17 of the delisted coins, and some of them are not traded on any other exchanges, I have decided to rethink my altcoin strategy. When I bought little bits of a hundred different coins, I wasn't planning on downloading and backing up a hundred different wallets.
tl;dr all 17 is a serious nudge to "rethink your altcoin strategy" I cannot deny knowing KEY at least as an acronym. Cannot remember ever having touched any of these coins.

I don't know if there is actually something you can buy with Monero that is listed anywhere.
Bitcoin! You can buy Bitcoins using Monero ... that is actually a mood talking point. The 1/2 price is overkill. On the other side the pure marketing effect for a company like Spreadshirt (Spreadshirt is an internet company offering an online platform for private individuals and commercial organizations to design, buy and sell creative and personalized apparel) could catch on. Creating awareness for a service or product, the pure advertisement effect should be the only and sufficient motivation to work together with a company. Spreadshirt really should offer christmas socks with some text entry field on front. edit: oh, how about mollesting webpages (blogs) for putting up a "Donate some Monero" sticker on their frontpage? a simple addition in their webpage's DNS entry allows recieving tips from their readers, something argueably PayPal or similar can do, too. but remember Bitcoin was for some timespan usefull for recieving tips. same old road to go! That ended when the greed, the hunger and the Gox famine kicked in.

what kind of hopes did you have? get rich overnight? if you're in this for speculative trading then this sort of outcome is expected of any volatile cryptocurrency, including bitcoin but if you have long term plans for xmr and know its potential then you shouldn't be seeing it as a loss... what kind of hopes ... and if it means "had" or "have" not sure, either. I am watching market numbers, naturaly, and they show me a change in the 2nd and 3rd top trade positions. LTC got replaced, sunken onto 3rd position today which is a first timer. And then I have Hopes, meaning any crypto based technology could break out of the monetary system as we experience it on our everyday use cases. I still buy grocery using classical paper bills. Dont own credit card. That newcomer on 2nd position worries me. It feels like monetary system with it's centralized banking is invading the crypto sphere. Only 65.77 % or $ 30,000,000 had been Bitcoin trades the last day, Ripple is now up to 16.80 % market share on the trades. They pushed almost $ 8,000,000 into this and I have a feeling this is not all gunpowder available.

There is not much development in LTC. That is the main problem.
Which probably caused that market correction from 0.030 down below 0.009 as of today. 15th of May going on to 15th of August was that period when 2/3 of Litecoin's value got destroyed. Now since August it is looking stable again. That is of course no good news for Litecoin HODLers, but makes me wounder if it is a safe bet now to buy a used Scrypt ASIC and start mining.

Even bitcoin is doing badly recently. No one should expect any new alts to take over the scene.
As a coin pegged to the hashrate, it is doomed. Highly inflationary. But you know how bad the situation is, I dont even have to drag Cloud Mining onto the table.

If you just want to create a wallet (AKA monero account) you just need to run simplewallet. I thought I might dig this up: - Fluffypony's Step-by-step Cold Storage Account Creation Guide for the Paranoid Android -My suggestion is as follows:
1. Take any machine you have lying around, even your normal workstation. You may find it easier to use an older computer that has no wifi or bluetooth if you're particularly paranoid.
I can has some paper, pencil & dice method to dice out some wordlist mnemonic? Lol no, not a particularly paranoid android speaking ... just a former table top role player

all new coins are basically like betting on sport, you lose 90% or you win 1000 %
Have to agree on that one. Timing is important. If you mined that new coin from beginning, it is those 1000 % If you buy, you get them 90 % I hold coins, "because" ... and that because has to be reasonable. "It can only go up, up and up" is no valid reason. "To the moon" is no valid reason. When reading a newbie account reasoning the next freshman into the last phase of a pump&dump scheme that way, I tend to believe Crypto will fail on the long term, inevitable outcome. A reasonable "because" has to be a hard fact. That goes beyond beeing all shiny. Take a coin between fingers and inspect it up close. What makes it unique or innovative? Where will be a market where it gets some use at least? Even Bitcoin has to struggle on that last one now. The "black markets" argument has expired at least since the n-th Silkroad gone busted.

Android: wallet for FIC: 10,000 FIC - First come first serve in order received. iOS: wallet for FIC: 10,000 FIC - First come first serve in order received.
You misunderstood software development. How it works. Rethink that strategy

Huffingtonpost wrote something about GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) — The U.S. Justice Department said Thursday Indian tribes can grow and sell marijuana on their lands as long as they follow the same federal conditions laid out for states that have legalized the drug. So back on track, what does that imply for crypto scene? Country coins are so-la-la-la, and I (dont) remember where was that 1 coin focused onto a tribe? MazaCoin? All I can say for sure is that most non-completely-legal endeavors (Silkroads) are currently at their all time low, facing their trials. Whatever starts to grow into that niche left wide open now, might not necessarily feel bound to former coins, but roll their own. I am curious how this will develop.

Clearly you have some fancy with CCN. Competition much? They should start paying you for all the advertising you do for their campaign, you probably just raised the price a few hundred satoshi's.
Hmm not sure about the few hundred satoshi's. Coinmarketcap shows CNN as (-10.06 %) with a trade volume of 0 BTC, but that is because they don't show float numbers for that. Was about $109 world wide, global trade volume today. You should probably not compare with a coin that has factor twenty five as much trade going on, daily. Just the numbers.

Only litecoin and peercoin will survive all other alts will die
The first had an innovation type (Scrypt mining) which is now meaningless. On the second I agree, most probably Bitcoin will have to hardfork for turning into a pure POS coin, since TX fee maintained POW networks are destined to fail in all cases.

MyMonero is temporarily offline for emergency maintenance, and will return within a few hours nothing critical, i hope... LOL it's gone, your money. live with (out) that naw back on track, beeing serious, we might need a way to import mymonero wallet credentials into a local wallet copy. Having a website is convenient, but sometimes one just needs a second pathway to access funds.
