Hi, Did you have any contact to the dev about all the things you are doing? Yes and he is happy that we help. He wants some control over the process, that I will handle of course.

Nut is it just me, or the "M" for mint a bit difficult to make out? Maybe a more distinguishable "M" character would be better? I agree, the lettering should be revamped. kopam, Alty (and others, too!): could you proposed several sketches for the community to choose from?

I will be AFK for some hours. I'l try to keep an eye on my smartphone, but I can't promise. I am looking for someone to act as deputy for organisation. I live at GMT+1, so an Asian or a American would be perfect.

Please put me down for web design. I'll deliver something fresh and minty.
I got a guy that makes great looking sites.
He's working on two projects for me atm, one of them will be finished on Tuesday.
As soon as that's done we could get working on a new MINT website and have that live for Friday 21st. Woohoo! Thanks Alty! I add you asap! I should team up with kopam too, see how you can work together.

kopam, I added them to the media library on the site. Now, someone should write an article about them (I won't, I deal with gathering the team).

Hi guys,
Back and sorry for the lack of registration. It is fixed now. As for the name, this is just a matter of DNS propagation, the address should be live soon at mintcoin-central.com.
theneos > thank for your proposal. Moving to your server is still an option, time will tell. Do you have shell access on your server?

The site is live. It is VERY rough now, not even a decent address (this will get fixed if there is success - I have plans for the name), but at least it works http://of-might-and-magic.com/mintcoin/wordpress/. Anyone who want to join: create an account then send me a PM. I will upgrade your rights accordingly. ShibeonBarkmont, kopam, nickenburg, lumeire, please create an account, I thus will check if everything works fine. kopam: you DO have skills for helping! What you might not have is time or motivation, but skill, you. We do not need coders only. You can write? You can promote? Maybe you can even design? You can also welcome newcomers, help with transaction issue, let alone contacting merchants and dealing with marketing, advocating.. There is a lot of things you can do without being a coder! lumeire: thanks for your offer. could you start by posting on the blog your infographics? Then take contact with ShibeonBarkmont for arranging the best course of action when it comes to promotion - your taks are complementary. Let's start with gathering a team. And remember: this is open-source. The only this that is not open is the experience of the dev - the rest lays in our hands. Maybe some of you already participated in another coins - so you have experience too. Don't forget: we are not working against the team. We are working with him. We are working to show him/her that we are good enough to alleviate some of his burden and make mintcoin more dynamic. Let us make mintcoin succeed! EDIT: I have a meeting in 30 minutes, so I will be AFK for several hours.

Hi guys, I just added the name of the first volunteers https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.msg5169298#msg5169298I did not have any reply from the dev yet. But there is still something we can do before he answers: create a nice-looking website! Yes, I know there is already one (mintcoin.biz) but it is not attractive enough - and without any contact from the dev, there is nothing else we can do... on this site. But what we can do is create another website. I can volunteer for setting it up, but I won't have time of proficiency to make a nice one and to enter text in it. Nevertheless, I am ready to lend my webspace. So here it goe: I will create a brand new WordPress blog with default Twenty-Fourteen theme. It won't be wordpress.com, it will be wordpress.org. Which means plugin and themes can be added. I will give the keys to anyone interested in writing or designing. At the beginning, the blog will be on my domaine name (latapie.name) but if momentum arises, I am ready to buy a domain name. Yep, I am that motivated. But I need people to join in. ShibeonBarkmont has kindly accepted to become community manager, so he will help me dealing with your requests, centralising suggestion, forward information to me... and most importantly make the community more vibrant than ever! So welcome Shibeon on "mintcoin redux". Welcome all of you! I will notify you once the website is active. Meanwhile, I expect contact from the dev. And remember; this is open-source, anyone can step in!

Edit: I'm adding voluntees, see belowTo have my fait restored in this coin I wiil need:
- Know the exact number of pre-mined coins and how they will be used. - Get a new client that just works. - New website and forum Steban, I propose something: everyone who would be OK with lending a hand to the dev says so. Write down "I'm in for assisting the" in a post and I will update the post accordingly. Preferably, say what you are good at (and like to do) also. Help can be of various kind: - community management (volunteer: ShibeonBarkmont) - commercial agreements with merchants - marketing - documentation - webdesign - translation - development - management (volunteer: David Latapie) So who is in to help make mintcoin kick ass? Then I will contact the dev with a list of volunteers. Remember: this coin has the highest traffic on mintpal, even more than Panda (granted, Panda is very new on mintpal). Also, mintcoin has a catchy name, an exchange which happens to sound the same (it is a coincidence, but let's capitalize on it), half the pages of noblecoin in quarter the time AND it is not yet on coinmarketcap or cryptsy. I say this coin only need a bigger team. That's where you come into play.

There are, +60 BTCs on sale orders, and only 8 BTCs on buy orders. How do you get this information?
|
|
|
Can the wallet binaries be configured to ship with basic config having the right nodes so users dont have to mess with it? +1, it would help increase user adoption (as for source code, an example config could be added too, as mastercoin did). This coin has a large trade volume considering it's not even a couple of weeks old, the dev's need to concentrate on getting the other bits in place and the price will increase substantially. Better yet: increase the size of the team. Make a public call for designers, coder, user experience (UX) specialist... I am sure you'd find more than one person willing to help.

Finalement, peut-être pas : At no point on their interview did the Jamaicans, or the reporter mention dogecoin, that I caught at least.

you have no idea of the amount of work needed behind the scenes. I for one, would be interesting in what is required to do. Genuine curiosity. What kind of challenges do you encounter? Did you already created a coin earlier? What are the mistakes you would not do if you had to do it again? Thanks for passing-by, your presence is important to keep the community alive!

Faut-il conclure quelque chose de la baisse actuelle du mint ?
