Are you guys ready for the NBA Finals Game 5?
I don't watch the NBA matches at all; I picked Miami Heat for the last couple of matches and lost every bets although the amount was pretty low, for the sake of participating in the contest TBH. I don't have much idea as well, hence, I don't take risk by placing bigger amount.
Nevertheless, again I will be picking Miami Heat. It's possible that I will get back my previous losses as it will be a high odd for them I guess.
Good luck! I'm happy to still see some love for the Heat tonight though the Lakers fans are all over.
They could ruin the black mamba uniform as Lakers dedicated this game for him and of course want to win this, I'll lay on the Heat + points but not on ML.

Are you guys ready for the NBA Finals Game 5?
I'm ready, 100%.

It could be the end of the series or Heat here will still give a fight, Bam seems to be playing again so there's a good chance Lakers will cover like they did last game but also they have a chance to win as last game was not really a game where Lakers are dominating the entire game.

https://www.betbtc.co/fixtures/los-angeles-lakers-vs-miami-heat-2549077

It's always possible, in fact that's what people are currently thinking, Lakers will win and they'll celebrate a 4-1 win and that is actually the trend in the playoffs, from round 1 until the NBA Finals, Lakers only give their opponent one game to win.

Quote
Lakers -7.5 as of now.
HEAT!
2763  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best USA based Crypto Sportsbook? on: October 09, 2020, 09:10:32 AM
I guess all you can do now is just stick with what you are doing, there's no USA sportsbook in crypto since in the first place it's illegal, just like other crypto sportsbook who doesn't accept gamblers from USA. Good for you actually that you can still enjoy gambling using VPN, but there's a risk that you will take,I suggest you spread your bets in different gambling sites, that would help you minimize the risk.
2764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 09, 2020, 08:50:42 AM
No Bam? Bet on Miami ML, that's what I read in some of the NBA forum in other sites.
It doesn't matter if Bam will play or not, that's what they believe because the last time Bam was out, Heat got a good win, I think that was by 11 points.

No one in their right mind bets against lebron in a closeout game.  On top of that in the mamba uniform.  Lebron is a lock for a triple double and 3-4 blocks on top of that.  When lebron is motivated, nobody can stop him.

I am not in my right mind then.  Grin
Lebron is motivated, no doubt about that. But so does the Heat.
I am going against the flow. I am that kind to bet for the underdog and I am going full with Heat ML.
Let's say I am one of the fools hoping for the Heat to give a better game against the Lakers team.

Bam (neck sprain)
But he is "good to go" as said by Coach Erik Spoelstra.
https://www.rotoworld.com/basketball/nba/player/30440/bam-adebayo

That's a great progress then,  this means betting on the Heat is still good despite the odds and the situation they are in, if they'll win one game, the series would be very interesting, anyway, good luck to you @Reid and those who are backing the heat here to win straight up.
2765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 08, 2020, 11:00:50 PM
With so many games that will take place that might be so hard to find out, rigging the games are unpredictable and can happen in a certain live games, we can't say or assess it right away unless you have insiders that will tell you exactly which games will be manipulated.

You have to extend your time doing deeper research to anticipate to possibilities of this claims.

I am sure the referee will do their best to guard the match, even if some referees try to rig the games by giving punishment to some players. But if we want to do deeper research, that will not be easy, since that will need to watch closely for each of them. We can let the match run while we can enjoy the game without thinking about the rig because we are not sure about that.

Referees indeed will do that, especially the officials that will be blamed in any particular questionable calls that refs may call during the game. We are all assuming but we don't have any concrete proofs that will direct this in regards of any rigging the game.

You nailed it, we should enjoy the game rather than thinking of something that we can't really justify.

I saw this one and you judge for yourself.

Look at the "2002 WCF Game 6 LAL vs Kings", there's plenty of videos online that says the game was fix for the Lakers to advance in the NBA Finals as that's what people really wanna see, and in this WCF series, it was the Kings who lead 3-2 going to game 6.

here's one of the videos.

2766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: October 08, 2020, 10:46:10 PM
However, sometimes that also can be a trap because with time you might get too self-confident, thinking you know everything and can predict everything and that is the time you might play too hazardous.

It's not a trap. It just shows that you are confident in your bet because you study, analyze, research on it. That's what your knowledge served for.

Trap or not, basically being overconfident indeed could be dangerous for himself. Too much knowledge is good but if you can't make the most of it, I think it will also be useless and therefore, self-control in gambling is an indispensable factor. Having a lot of knowledge by adjusting to several supporting factors, then in the end it is something that will give you an advantage in betting.
I think the most important is just to know and manage the risk, being overconfident will make you underestimate the risk in betting and that is not a good attitude for a bettors as in every bet, there's always a risk regardless of favorable the odds you think.

Ergh, I can't think of anything they could pull off to win game 5.

Bam could be Joining Dragic out once again, I've got my betbuilder bet already and it's on the Lakers to complete their 4-1 playoff trend 🙃

It could have been a very different series if the Heat had a full squad to count on, I still want to believe that Game 3 was more of the Lakers taking a nap, but than it was about the Heat being terrific (all due respect to Butler and the rest of the team), just a personal opinion.

Any source about that? How come he will not play in a do or die game when he was able to play and he looks healthy in game 4?

What happen? Are the heat giving up early here?
2769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: October 08, 2020, 11:38:31 AM
What do you think: is there a rule that would help not to drown in information but only focus on what is helpful? Or is it 'the more, the better' in your opinion?

I think there's a common mistake in that the more information that people have, the more they think the outcome of the sports event is predictable. The more knowledge you have, the more you underestimate the element of chance that is inherent to the game. Some sports are obviously more susceptible to luck and random chance than others - look at cycling and Geraint Thomas, one of the favourites for the Giro, now being out of contention because of a stray water bottle that simply couldn't have been predicted.

More information is better, but as well as the need to understand exactly which of this information is relevant, it's also vitally important not to underestimate brute luck.

It depends on how you handle the information, you shouldn't have an information overload problem as that is not healthy. In gambling, it doesn't need to be complicated, the approach is very simple, but you need to be very clever to fully understand and will increase your chances of winning.

As a gambler, no one can perfectly predict the outcome of the games and make himself rich, winning 60% in sports betting most of the time is even hard to so, yeah, the figure look easy but it's easier said than done in real life.
2770  Economy / Speculation / Re: History repeats itself? on: October 07, 2020, 11:13:59 PM
Chart is not a good basis as the market is always unpredictable, but looking at the adoption and the hype of the market which is still here, it's not unlikely to see an ATH anytime but also it could go the other way, either way, anyone could present a chart and say, "hey! there's a chart that it looks like a pattern in the past", so to make it short, my thoughts is just predict based on the news and the hype but always stay bullish as bitcoin is built for success.
2771  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: October 07, 2020, 10:47:59 PM
It's very unlikely that Cloudbet has not replied in this accusation, in this last page, I don't see them reply anymore. It made me believe that they are guilty of this accusation, if a user violate the rules they don't have the right to confiscate the amount, they should return it and the complainant will just move on as he says.

This thread should be clean but as long as the other party is not satisfied then most likely that accusation will continuously bump this thread.
2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: October 07, 2020, 10:27:10 PM
I see people here betting the heat for game 5 and I think you all are crazy.  I could maybe see the Heat being a half way decent bet if this were a normal year where they were actually playing at their own stadium and had a normal crowd size, but it's not.  The Lake Show is too damn good and is going to be looking to lock this up.  I personally plan to put some shekels down on the Lakers.

No man, we are not crazy, we are gamblers. Look what had happened in game 4, those who are betting for the Lakers (-7.5) lost that one while those who are on the side of Miami were dancing with joy when Herro's last shot went in.

This is gambling and you never know what will happen until it happen. If you are die hard Laker's fan and betting for them, you must have already lost substantial amount of money.

I think he was referring to a ML bet, yes of course there's a very less chance that Heat could won as bookies are already giving them +350 which gives a good return for $100 bet but like I said less chance, however if we go with the point spread, that's the number we are betting and Heat backers would be happy even if Heat loses as long as they'll cover that spread.
2773  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New to signature campaigns, questions. on: October 05, 2020, 07:38:07 AM

how can a new person join? I gave up everything to focus on this job !
Look in this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0, you'll see a variety of signature campaigns that are still active, then you can see the requirement and on how to join.

As of now, you can't still join since you are still a newbie, most campaigns accept members from Member to legendary, so you need to at least rank up to member to have a chance. However, I hope you'll not give up everything to focus on signature campaign as it's not a job.
2774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 05, 2020, 07:07:08 AM
Does everyone speculate the Heat can also win game 4 or is the Lakers only exhaling after their intensity in game 1 and game2? What will be the bet for game 4?

The Lakers might come back stronger, I reckon. It might be Lakers -6.5 hehehe?

How I wish Miami would level the series 2-2. I didn't like it when the first couple of matches were a complete domination by the Lakers. I placed just a little bet for Miami in game 3 not because I thought they can really take the Lakers but because I think the Lakers would be relaxed in this game knowing that they've got already 2 games ahead.

But it was not really a walk in the park for Miami in this game 3, unlike the first two games for the Lakers. The Lakers even got ahead in the 4th quarter this time. Credit is due to Jimmy Butler of course for playing hard for Miami to avoid possible getting swept.

The Lakers will really be ahead in Game 4. I think it will be around 2.80 for Miami money-line.

There's a lot people saying that game 3 was rigged for the Heat to win one game.

Butler Lead the Heat with his 40 points to win but it was also due to the effort of Lebron James and Davis for their contribution.

James - 8 Turnovers.
Davis - 5 Turnovers.

There's no disadvantage or advantage for bettors if NBA is rigged, good thing this topic was created as it's very timely.

Try to search this "nba is rig" keywords in google and you'll see a lot of suggestion.

This one is the most popular IMO,

2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 30, 2020, 01:12:30 PM
For me the best way is do some research and only bet on SURE WINS. ~snip

I'm cutting the rest of your statement. I'll focus on the sure wins thing. No, it's impossible, you can say sure win but in reality you can't achieve that consistently if you are true to yourself.

That's what I think sometimes, I think it's a sure win but most of the time I am wrong.

In sports betting there are odds maker, they make the market of betting odds and most of the time we get lured thinking that a certain odds is gonna give an easy win, that's the reason why the public loses as they can easily get lured by the line that is considered as a trap.
2778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 30, 2020, 12:51:24 PM

Boxing and MMA is quite different, if it's boxing, it's Manny who will win and if its in MMA it's obviously Mcgregor.
MMA vs boxer, not a good fight to watch but since this attracts money, good for them.

And one thing I would disagree, Pacman does not upset Thurman as he was the betting favorite in the fight.

Since McGregor is a Mix martial artist he can switch to boxing with no problems. So he will fight Manny Pacquiao in his sport which is boxing. Now McGregor need to accelerate his practice in his stamina because last time he fought Mayweather he is lacking this basic and lose the fight. they don't have more than 5 rounds in the UFC because fights won't reach that long. But in boxing, he needs to expect the fight to reach 12 rounds since he is fighting one of the living legends.

And not only that, Conor McGregor also has a license in boxing, so he can fight any boxing he wants, he and Manny can make it possible as they don't need a promoter since they themselves are capable of promoting the fight.

2779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting small amounts on a lot of matches or big amount on couple of matches? on: September 30, 2020, 11:00:04 AM
It depends on you and how much experience you have gained so far. You should start with a small amount bet, because it is very dangerous to take the risk of a large amount in the beginning. As you said you bet a lot of small amount, and later you see the difference in the amount of profit/loss. This means that you have less knowledge about sports bets. So in this case, I do not think it would be right to take big amount bet.

Control your greed and try to gain experience. You need to gain more knowledge about sports bets, which will help you to get an idea about a team in advance. Then you can start betting with a big amount and take risk.

Experience may help but not really a big factor as I know a lot of people who have a long experience gambling, knows almost everything but they aren't still winning, so what you really need is skills, and with skills you can always be confident staking a high amount even with high risk.
2780  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US charges two Russian crypto hackers on: September 30, 2020, 10:19:59 AM
That's a good news, it means the crypto regulation has been strengthen already.

Existence of hackers and scammers, this is what would make the regulators do their job because they need to capture this criminal to build a healthy crypto environment, with this rampant kind of crime if this is the right way to describe it, regulators will certainly impose more strict measures to the market and though it will increase the security, but our privacy might be sacrifice, we have to choose but bear in mind that regulators or government always win.
