2761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The one thing I still don't get about crypto and Tax on: January 26, 2023, 07:00:42 AM
The government warned all crypto investors, both new investors and old investors about how fraud cases are increasing in crypto space
These hypocrites, yet corruption and all wrong doings happen with the aid of fiat, and these guys still point at crypto smh.

yet many do not care and they lose money but some made a lot of money and some even made life changing money..
Their money, their rules and I thought these guys said bitcoin isn't real... Wonder what happened for them to have a change of mind Huh

Yet till this day crypto still remain unregulated.
Crypto is very difficult to regulate to be honest , you might have the laws and all but if the people choose not to abide it.. will not happen! Besides people are under financial stress with all these taxes and all, and they get to learn about bitcoin were no one any forcibly get a dime from you unless hacked of course. Bitcoin, real freedom to the people.

But why the hell are the government taxing people on their profits when they aren't ready to take responsibility for their losses to fraud and theft?  Why the hell are they using the word " its unregulated " as an excuse but still take money from people?
It's easier to take than give & I suppose and the government know it to. And btw taking responsibility for people's losses can be a very expensive undertaking hence putting a blind eye to this.
2762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: January 25, 2023, 11:36:00 PM
As bitcoin continues on its current bullish path, all kinds of people are trying to ride this wave by buying any cheap coins they can get their hands on as they anticipate the next High to come. But the scary part about this is that Big money is also flowing into the crypto economy that will push price to easily register new highs, but this comes at a price, when these whales decide to take out their money.. markets bleed red which is why Big money is not good if volatility is to be controlled. In the long run Bitcoin is better off without the Big money, otherwise this becomes like a pyramid scheme always leaving the last man standing with empty pockets as the first guy to make a move gets all the accumulated $$$$.

What's the community's take on this?

Is money the real root of all evil in today's society
Quote
I do not think so, it’s like saying we don’t need money, but money sustains life. It will always depend on how you used your money. There are many meaningful things you can use the money for; e.g., building hospitals, feeding the homeless, building schools, a fund to teach people, charity workhelpingelp technologsupportingort the government in enhancing its citizen's way of living, and other many things you can do with worthwhile money.
Money is like a coin with 2 sides, which are the good side and the bad side... And with this kind of setup one side will always be dominant than the other and here the bad will always  be the loudest which is why mostly people quote this saying most of the times. But I do agree, money Hass done great things for people, used to get needed surgeries, helped the homeless etc.

Is money the real root of all evil in today's society
The thing is most of us believe that it's only money that can solve whatever problems we have and this is 85% true, and when someone can't get it the resort to evil ways of getting it like crime and the alike hence the reason for saying that "money is the root of all evils. "
2765  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Another Exchange that could Bite the Dust, crypto.com on: January 25, 2023, 02:59:36 PM
I don't know about bitting the dust because these guys look well invested with their sports sponsorships which could paint a picture that they still have the $$$$.
But reading those tweets shown in the article of the exchange failing to payout a $400 withdraw request really looks bad on their side... because there could be more cases that aren't just reported ! Maybe the exchange is buying time to recover the $10 million that was wrongly sent through fees and all other revenue channels that brings them some money...
2766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin investments have become risky this day. on: January 25, 2023, 02:38:54 PM
The problem with altcoins today is the pool of these is wide and deep, and to top it off most are doing similar projects which make them less of value, but if you can find an altcoin that does it differently I can guarantee you that this coin will succeed and market never fails such!

Quote
Altcoin investments have become risky this day.
Risk has always been there, and in times of a bear market, chances are high that the weaker coins will see more red than those that have a strong reputation and decent following. It's all about finding the coin that ticks most of the investment boxes!

2769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has someone tried to use ChatGPT to help in trading? on: January 25, 2023, 12:11:52 PM
A bot will always remain a bot and will execute trades as programed, but am not just certain it can apply multitime frame analysis to define market structure on different time frames and entering trades on the lower time frame after all the analysis has been done.. Perhaps simple tasks like highlighting candlestick patterns, finding highs and lows should be super easy but complex tasks need a pro programmer to aid it.
2770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which company will be next to accept Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2023, 07:23:12 AM
For those who do not know, the last company (brand) that has determined to accept Bitcoin as a an expenditure method is the Mazzanti supercar brand.
This is great news and maybe easy journey for btc to pump looking at how much will be getting into the market thanks to these supercars.

I would like to know what you think will be the next brand that will accept Bitcoin to buy their cars, and do not say all at once Lambooo Shocked
It has to be lambo and these guys should have already tapped into the crypto market way back because lambos are a big thing in the crypto world. But looking at the most sought after cars in places like Dubai it has to be either a lambo or Gwagon... Maybe ROLLS ROYCE but car rentals can benefit greatly for our crypto millionaires.

I say that the next brand to accept Bitcoin will be Pagani What about Tesla and SpaceX? Haha

Pay for Electric cars and ticket to Mars in Bitcoin.
We can't rule out any of these suggestions especially with Musk in the picture, his one unpredictable tech guy.
2771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: January 24, 2023, 08:08:18 PM
Bitcoin 2018 vs 2022:

1. 7 MA crossing 25 MA.
2. Bitcoin broke the resistance trendline.
3. End of Bear Market, bottom is in.

Bottom maybe in but for every break of structure you need to anticipate a pullback and from what I can see, price could comeback to anywhere around the $19k region to mitigate open orders and then nothing will be left at the bottom and price will moon upwards.

It doesn’t look like it broke either. The trend line is not broken yet and the moving averages just started to cross. So it’s a little pre mature to say this. However given how small the dips have been I am starting to think this will rally into the $25K at least before it pulls back.

My thoughts exactly, price is yet to break the trend line, but looking at the size of those bullish candles.. Markets keep showing that they do have upward momentum to break the trend line, but after this happens a pullback is certainly on the cards!
2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 24, 2023, 05:03:44 PM
Chelsea is not yet stopping to hunt some new players. It seems todd wanna try to create his own dream team Mendy will be selling by Chelsea caused by mendy didn't wanna extend his contract with Chelsea
The man is not given the game time he deserves and not extending his contract gives Mendy a fighting chance to be bought by another team that will put his services to good use!

Reports claim that Leo Messi is not interested in extending his contract at PSG. Messi is not interested in renewing his contract with PSG because of his bad relationship with the French media and the PSG fans. Several European clubs are negotiating with Lionel Messi about his future after he no longer wants to stay at PSG. The only thing he wants is peace, not noise.

Anything to do with Messi is all pure rumors and a click bait to generate traffic to some of these news sites, Btw remember it started with Messi going back to Barca then after CR7 went of Saudi Arabia it was rumored that Messi would follow were he would be the highest paid... For now not until it happens its all speculation.

2774  Economy / Economics / Re: Power outages causes huge economic loss in south Africa. on: January 24, 2023, 12:51:06 PM
For someone that is keeping 40000 birds on his farm, I honestly think he can afford some off grid power solution like solar and this should have solved the problem. But because he felt entitled to be supplied this power, he paid the price the hard way, and btw with the is whole climate change, raising population service delivery by most companies today is negatively affected and we have to deal with this ourselves .

2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First thing i will do if Bitcoin become legal tender globally on: January 24, 2023, 05:31:30 AM
china and other countries in Africa and other part of the world that have one or two regulations.
China is a different world when it comes control but for Africa I think these are places that have the does open for the technology as they have more to benefit from it... Btw aren't the biggest economies already using bitcoin, South Africa, Nigeria etc Huh

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU WILL DO IF BITCOIN BECOMES GLOBALLY ACCEPTED JUST LIKE THE INTERNET?
For me I will open my Bitcoin mining farm that will be public with a website and registered under the law for clients that will want third-party services that will align with global best practices of cryptography and digital asset management.

Going in for the money, but such an undertaking will require some good capital injection because a Bitcoin farm doesn't come cheap!

Btw I think bitcoin and the internet are incomparable as bitcoin is a substitute to fiat while the internet was bringing efficiency and simply rewriting history.

2778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning ⚠️ there is a new hack that steals bank/crypto info on your phone on: January 23, 2023, 08:05:57 PM
Hacker must have hidden the virus in the pdf using steganography which is why attachments sent to me from any unknown email addresses I don't bother opening such.. Be it image, mp3, exe all these go straight to the trash can no compromise !!

I don't know if this is the right place for this, I need to warn people about a new trick that hackers are using to drain bank accounts and crypto wallet.

someone living next to me lost over 2000$ in his bank account and tokens in his metamask all wiped out..the last thing he did before he started receiving debit alert is opening a PDF sent to his mobile number, that's it.
Sorry for your friends loss. Why do I get the feeling that your neighbor could actually have saved his private key on the same device which made it easy to steal his coins or its one of those phishing emails that say your mew needs to be verified and when you proceed with this you hand over your keys to the hacker on a silver plate.

2780  Economy / Reputation / Re: Injustice while Tagging on: January 23, 2023, 11:49:09 AM
Before it comes to tagging of a CM, I think it's the responsibility of the participants as well to check if everything checks out from a project, if not they should be the first whistle blowers for such irregularities! Btw history as shown that even projects that have looked viable with their well written whitepapers have ended up scamming its marketing agents by not paying the bounties . IMO to protect campaign managers from any oversight and bounty participants from investing their time in such projects... Before a project is entered for a bounty some kind of whitelisting process should be introduced on the forum to ensure whitepaper is plagiarism free and to protect all parties interests which is also a huge ask tbh because end result might be a not successful project...So basically plagiarism can be brought toba minimal but bounty success isn't guaranteed!
