1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 24, 2023, 09:30:03 PM
My reason for you to invest in bitcoin would be; we are living in the digital era were most financial transactions are all built around digital platforms..and with these comes limited control from traditional channels such as fiat and if you want total freedom of your finances and be your own bank.. nothing out there beats crypto and what better way to enjoy financial freedom by investing in bitcoin.
Be part of the revolution and become an early adopter Roll Eyes, good luck Smiley.
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 24, 2023, 09:18:14 PM
Manchester City started the game pretty well against Brighton and they scored the first goal but against Haaland had an effect on the first goal of this game but after that, Brighton scored three goals!  Shocked Huh
Earlier on City played well and looked like a walkover was written all over this , but with several wasted chances by Halaad this allowed Brighton but in the game who were in search of a point to have a guaranteed Europa spot which they got after holding current league leaders to a one all score line.

And seeing that most of city's  first choice players were in today's game and brought an average performance , am starting to have my doubts if they can make a treble of cups this season....

Brighton have given Manchester city a good fight tonight, after conceding the first goal early in the first half Brighton have reacted bravely and pushed City back, creating good chances and converting one to make the scoresheet 1-1. I just love the spirit and confidence Brighton are displaying tonight against the league’s champions, if they win tonight, it will be well deserved for Brighton because they have pushed so hard for it.
Said it like a true sportsman/woman  and credit must go were its due and I think admit..to some extent Manchester city went to sleep during the game which allowed Brighton to have more shots at & on goal and were unlikely to not win against  a relaxed city team.

1924  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Seized or Scammed on: May 24, 2023, 07:50:29 PM
I am surprised that no one has come to say that he has been scammed. Everything that has happened so far is related to the signature campaign, which scam has not been confirmed yet
Well payment is already due and I believe the only reason we aren't seeing  people complain of being scammed is because manager gave his word to honor their dues to prevent any panic...

If indeed BetterCallRaul had exit scam, why is this the fault of Royse when he is not part of that scam?
Valid argument and I share the same sentiments.

But having read several opinions on this issue, it seems to have mixed feelings bordering on some users seeing this exit scam was unforeseen and the manager shouldn't be   liable which has prompted some to accept the circumstances and go without the payment....others are saying its the managers responsibility..I guess the participants should have the last say in this...Btw let's not forget CM has lost pay here for service rendered .
1925  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 24, 2023, 06:34:13 PM
I think when it comes to cryprocurrencies, one can get away with it by having a hands on approach to understand  and use them...let's not forget that these came on the scene without a manual of how to use them but people still had success with them especially for early adopters.
Btw for anybody that wants to get technical  with them, of course an education here will be needed as a hands on approach wouldn't be sufficient enough as you need to apply your math, formulas, general  understanding of economics etc.

Most schools nowadays only focus on teaching the theory of life so that many are not appropriate, the world is developing very fast, information is always at hand but many lessons in schools are no longer in accordance with current conditions and deserve to be replaced with a better and modern system.
Agreed,  technology keeps moving at the speed of light while most school curriculums haven't been keeping up with time to catch on with new technologies which are adopted  in our day to day activities.

Am sure this is coming from what you have seen (&  what i have seen) from other forums that use banners as their signatures.
Unfortunately here with limited space and BBcode restrictions not possible unless we have aPNG/GIF enabled in sig space...so not possible as answerd above.
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wrong Predictions as price keep failing! on: May 24, 2023, 12:13:58 AM
Nobody bitcoin price prediction has work this season, I told my friends early January that this year will still be difficult for bitcoin to rise since they're still blocks on digestive and ingestive policies of government, why bitcoin should not stay by government. But they argued me to a fault but I knew bitcoin will not gets to $40k this year.
At the start of 2023, bitcoin was recovering from a hard fall that had a general atmosphere which was a bearish market, but after the dust settled and fear mongering was at its lowest crypto believers and enthusiasts jumped on board to start buying the discounted coins and price has been fighting its way back to the top and considering we are approaching  mid year...I think bitcoin has performed  very well despite mixed reactions of regulations here and there and from this its safe to say we are on the right track  to hit 40k as this can happen all in one jump as price is close to this.

The price will definitely rise but not at the moment. Do you predict the price to any level year?
We have a long way to go before  this year is done, and I think we have one or two news events that can trigger the bull run as markets seem to be in limp mode at the moment  and we should land the 40k to 50k.
1928  Economy / Services / Re: [PAUSE/CLOSE] BetterCallRaul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange Signature Campaign on: May 23, 2023, 08:32:38 PM
In this particular case, I understand. It is a relatively common practice, when a campaign has been running for a while and you have not received the funds for the week, to continue it because you trust that the company will send you the funds.
Campaigns that have been running for a while usually  get some trust and benefit  of the doubt that they will come through....

And having been part of the Royse campaigns,  I have noticed his experience does come into play mostly...if he believes  the project will replenish the wallet without official word from the other side.. "mostly" he pays campaign participants out of his pocket to avoid any panic or distrust of project but if this goes on for one too many times campaign usually is paused until further notice to avoid hurting the companies  reputation & his to some extent...

I think that the manager of this campaign has been unlucky and has been caught in the middle of this situation, and I also understand the people who out of solidarity say that they don't need to be paid.

But in the future, if the campaign managers are going to put a disclaimer that removes them from responsibility I don't think they should continue a campaign as long as they have not received the funds.
Unlucky agreed.

Am pretty sure most of these projects aren't fully invested to always keep an eye on whats happening here on the forum as they put their trust in the Campaign Manager to allow them to work on other pressing  things of their project, besides when sig campaigns are launched usually funds are escrowed to avoid uncertainty but when a project is running  for over a month I think they deserve the breathing room, some trust to deliver on their liabilities  after participants do their part and not to be pressured to keep a conducive environment among project, sig participants and CM.

I guess the liability  issue is a special case.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 23, 2023, 08:02:44 PM
Aston Villa, who are currently in 6th place in the standings, are certainly very happy because next season they can play in the conference league, but actually they still have one chance to defend that place, especially since their closest competitors such as Spurs and Brentford have the opportunity to shift their position in last game of the week.

But in the last match of the week Aston Villa will be against Brighton who are currently locking in a place for the European league and it seems that Brighton will not sit idly by to maintain its current place. On the other hand, if Aston Villa loses then it is very likely that Spurs or Brentford can get a place in the conference league and that will be very detrimental for Aston Villa.
Looking at the current log, Brighton will definitely give it all to guarantee themselves this Europa spot with 2games in hand and they are pretty much in a good position to make this happen but I see them eyeing a spot above Liverpool if they win both games and Liverpool drops points from last match.

As for Aston villa,  well its competitors of that position arent having easy games...take Spurs for example, these guys are facing a Leads side that will take nothing but a win to give them a chance to play in the premier league next season if not relegation is calling and I see them bringing it home!

For Brentford,  I think they have a better chance to clinch this position but playing against a city side that will be looking forward to end this campaign on a high note...no chance for Brentford to win here...
1930  Economy / Services / Re: [PAUSE/CLOSE] BetterCallRaul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange Signature Campaign on: May 23, 2023, 03:15:48 PM
If we take into account the fact that the service pays the manager 100-200 dollars a week, then there may be users who refuse to receive payment due to force majeure.
Agreed!
I guess this Is something all campaign manager's need to put into their terms of service not to be obligated to foot the service charge to their campaign participants, unless the error Is on their side...  like storing funds on an exchange which gets hacked or forgetting their key to wallet..whatever it maybe.

Photoshop,  domain still active... whatever is happening with BetterCallRaul hope they didn't wait to build their reputation with the community,  then waited for any big mix that came through to recoup all funds invested plus interest  then pull the plug on the crypto community  but the benefit of doubt will be given here till everything is stitched together or official word from Royse777 is received.
1931  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is more lucrative between mining and trading bitcoins? on: May 23, 2023, 02:38:13 PM
I would say both are lucrative business ventures but the only downside of bitcoin mining is that it requires more capital than usual to be pumped in to be setup before you  start earning your first coins...not forgetting running costs which you can't run away from such as electricity, maintainance costs, etc while comparing it to trading, say p2p trading this business grows with time and has less running costs as its pretty much tied to how much capital one puts in!

So for those on a tight budget or limited capital, I would suggest trying out peer2peer trading and bank on those price  differences as your profit Smiley
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is "dying". on: May 23, 2023, 05:22:33 AM
Hello everyone. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but it looks like bitcoins ideas are dying.

I spend a week on this forum talking with people about Bitcoin and asking their opinions in threads. And I came to the conclusion that the whole idea of Bitcoin is being killed in front of our eyes.
This conclusion was arrived at too early, besides Bitcoin users have ddifferent needs and not all can be HOdlers because its not for the faint hearted and not everyone can use btc as a currency as fees can be too high at times such that you cannot make a 2 dollar payment without spending 4-8 dollars on fees...doesn't  just make economic sense, so if Bitcoin use it to be stimulated fees have to become super low.

The problem is that most of the people in crypto see Bitcoin as an asset like a stock to invest in and then sell later. No one even thinking about the future of Bitcoin as means of currency. Bitcoin was created NOT as an asset, we use it as one, it was created to solve a banking problem and create money of freedom that can't be faked and printed. And somehow people are literally forgotten about this whole point of Bitcoin.
If you say bitcoin is losing it, then if we look back at the history of bitcoin words like "hodl" would have never existed because by default it was designed this way which is buy now sell later and become a crypto millionaire ...

Besides, by hodling several crypto users have cashed in big and people want to replicate  this but using btc as a currency at the moment isn't practical as alternatives exist which have lower fees and faster confirmation times.

-snip-
So considering all this, it looks like crypto right now is moving to centralization and control over our funds. Bitcoin is just an asset to people and I don't see how everyone can use it as a currency.
That's why I think that bitcoin Ideas are dying.

You know how people say one man's poison is another man's food, well this can be applied here...where one sees a currency in bitcoin others see an asset to use as a store of value nowonder its called digital gold as it also allows us to move away from the old Gold which isn't accessible to all of us.

1934  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: May 22, 2023, 08:37:24 PM
I believe the forum has been more accommodating to everyone than it was a few years back. If we contemplate on the general forum traffic, today we have several local boards which should make non English speakers to stick around than what it was, so this can't be a language barrier causing the low turnout..But I think it has something  to do with the altcoin bubble  which we had years back, the ICOs , the generous bounty rewards that existed back then...today rewards arent attractive and most users might have given up on this as projects arent as honest as the first gens were.
1935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: May 22, 2023, 08:05:09 PM
Love the parable used here, but I  think both sons have valid answers of what experience is all about because this can be applied in different scenarios. Besides to learn a lesson.. sometimes you have to have first had experience to be able to tell others what you experienced... otherwise curiosity will force you to try something out to get a hard learnt lesson.

And looking at that  example of the arrogant gambler,  everybody knows that the house always wins, and it gets bad if pride gets to you thinking you are invisible when in reality its all about having a lucky day or run and take what you can...once you are back just know the house will reclaim whats left!
1936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: scalping Bitcoin vs. other assets on: May 22, 2023, 05:21:49 PM
What pros and cons do you see when scalping Bitcoin vs. other assets such as NASDAQ.
Let's just say that in the early days when bitcoin became  established it was volatile to the extent of being compared to the likes of NASDAQ, and for traders that love volatile assets this can be a pro, but today I think its safe to say it's less volatile and other users will find it more attractive to invest in as its much more stable than back then .

What assets do you recommend for scalping other than Bitcoin and what platform to use for those assets?
There are several brokers out there that offer crypto trading and to some extent is dependant on one's location.

Other assets besides  btc(crypto), well lets just say I find currencies enjoyable to trade like Euro/USD, Aud/USD as they  are less volatile.

Is it possible to trade NASDAQ on bingx or bitget? in copytrading I am following a trader on bingx who is trading USTECH/USD but I don't see it as a pair in my perpetual futures account.
Isn't perpetual futures trading for crypto on platforms like bitget??
1937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many mixers all of a sudden? on: May 22, 2023, 01:56:33 PM
It might look like these mixers came on the scene after Chipmixer seizure but most of these were formed before all this happened.
By the way, you know how people say there is strength in numbers...I believe this is the same concept to be applied here as having more of these tumblers around in the crypto industry makes them stick around more...it's like the days of piratebay  and torrenting , when it was seized more came on the scene and these have never closed down as they have that multiplier effect after chopping one down.
Besides crypto being pseudonymous,  we have always believed it has that anonymity to it and mixers help in doing so for the privacy conscious  users.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: May 21, 2023, 11:28:45 PM
This being one of Arsenal's best seasons in a long time, do we have any kits being thrown in for Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) for top 2 or top 3 players of each respective division?

Wouldnt hurt to have to remember the 2022-2023 season with a nice Arsenal jersey  Cool

1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or altcoin on: May 21, 2023, 10:38:54 PM
Can't you go for both? I mean you can list btc and altcoin together in your portfolio. I think that will be best combination.
Agreed, going with both here!

The crypto ecosystem isn't about bitcoin only, having to own or use altcoins compliments what bitcoin can not do and its success rides on these altcoins flourishing as well.
Besides with crypto its not all about the currencies aspect only, we could use other services such as the utility aspect of some of the alts there or simply go for the coins with much cheap transaction fees if we choose to save a few dollars.
1940  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [23-05-19] Is Ledgers New Bitcoin Key Recovery Feature Safe? Experts Have Doubts on: May 21, 2023, 09:53:36 PM
I wonder how ledger arrived at this decision, are they saying most of its current users lose total access to their coins and they are returning the favor by bringing this feature to life?

Maybe this is a ploy to try onboard new users to the ledger world ,who would have perceived digital currencies work as good as an email  address were any user forgets his/her password can easily hit the forgot password button and access restored just like that...
But giving them a benefit of doubt,  in a few months to come if this helps them sell more hardware wallets, then they might feel vindicated for this business decision as its a game of numbers at the end of the day for them..so can't blame them entirely !
