2761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization and Democracy! Are cryptocurrencies really decentralized? on: May 29, 2014, 10:56:50 AM
When we are talking about my money, forget about democracy Smiley. In addition when we are talking about coin development (coding and marketing included) some level of centralization is inevitable. Otherwise everybody will talk endlessly and nobody will do anything.
2762  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China cites US for “unscrupulous” spying, wants IBM out of banks on: May 28, 2014, 02:28:47 PM
So the ice cream licked back Smiley. Ironic to see when the Chinese government accusing someone for industrial spying Smiley.
2763  Other / Off-topic / Re: Death threat for Andreas Antonopolous! on: May 28, 2014, 12:22:47 PM
I am surprised others missed what's happening here. Bitcoin is only in the hands of privileged people right now. Imagine the people in the world that will never own bitcoins because they're simple too expensive, or they're not writing software, or they live out in a desert.

He didn't say they should be out of the hands of the ordinary, just that they are. It's inequality 101. Not much you can do about it, but still amazing people here misunderstand.

"Death threat to Andreas antonopolous from a person who believes bitcoins should be only in the hands of  privileged.." < wrong, paraphrasing.
"some BS drama or joke on tweeter is even a thread worthy on here?" < dismiss socio-economic problems, and ignoring that the guy bringing it up.

Even Andreas agrees (before the death threat. Which is out of line, but there will be many more)

I think people will be viciously frustrated as time goes on that there's a new class of wealthy elite.... many got to where they were today because they had a computer in the early day, which in itself, is still out of reach to most of the world.

I think only a few ppl here "missed what's happening here". Otherwise they wouldn't be here, would they? Knowledge, a good eye for business (or just simple luck) is a great asset and can give you money. Money is power, power is privilege. Negligence and ignorance are common commodities and will yield little gains.

The boat is still here and the gates are still open. Cheap rafts in the altcoin section are also available. Everybody still have to choice to adapt and adopt or just walk away. Why we would care about the "viciously frustrated" people who didn't know and/or didn't care?
2764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim Executed in America for Being Muslim on: May 28, 2014, 11:47:38 AM
I don't accept that the state has the right to kill people any more than a random guy in the street does.

I don't believe in obfuscating the culpability for crimes behind anonymous façades like "the government" or "the state".

I believe in personal responsibility.

The fact that "the state" can "convict" someone and "sentence them to death" is based on peculiar rituals, a belief that these "judges" and "policemen" have special powers because they wear strange costumes and carry shiny badges - it's all rather odd.

And the word "execution" is used correctly here. The fact that so many people leapt to the state's defence to say that only the state can "execute" people is both telling, and rather disturbing.

Every community should have the right to get rid of the dangerous elements. Judges and policeman have got special rights from the community to act for the interests and safety of the community... and do the dirty job if necessary. This is the right and natural way.

However this case isn't about execution this was a simple everyday murder.
2765  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Twitter Agrees To Block “Blasphemous” Tweets In Pakistan (Now Sharia-compliant) on: May 28, 2014, 11:32:31 AM
What next? Well, if you hurt their beliefs you have to go to a Twitter certified stone merchant where you can buy the prescribed amount of proper quality stones (they will accept all major credit cards too and finance is also available) and then in the presence of an appointed Twitter official you have stone yourself to death Smiley.
2766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Conspiracy Against Bitcoin on: May 28, 2014, 10:40:30 AM
You disn'tspend your "first twenty-some years in a communist country". You might have spend it in a country, that calls it self Communist.
There are also countries which call themselves Democratic, and have nothing to do with a democracy

OK mate, you surely know these things better Smiley.
2767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Conspiracy Against Bitcoin on: May 28, 2014, 10:04:19 AM
Do yourself a favor and read up on what communism means. Don't simply type garbage. Communism is neither a dangerous thing nor is it a threat to your "freedom". It's only problem is that true communism can never be achieved in real life. What all these so-called communist countries are following a system of centralization, which focuses power in the hands of a few. True communism has the State controlling the resources of a community, however in real life,no state can run without an head, which is the problem. As for communism screwing over Bitcoin, the truth couldn't be further away. As noted in the comment above, these countries can barely figure out the internet.

As I spent my first twenty-some years in a communist country, I do not agree. Don't pretense yourself with fairy tales like "true communism". There are no such thing. Apart from some dreamers nobody promised a "true communism". Even Marx, Engels and Lenin believed in a kind of "practical communism". ...and certainly there was a "real life communism", and that was a dangerous thing, represented by some dangerous people and it definitely took our freedom and wealth away. I know that from my very own first hand experience Smiley.
2768  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Italy to add drug trafficking, prostitution to GDP figures on: May 28, 2014, 09:47:42 AM
Maybe Italians should hand over the government to the mafia Cheesy. I think the godfathers have a proven record of being able to establish and run prosperous organizations despite all the hardships and difficulties Smiley. BTW as I heard many Italian politicians are connected the mob. Do they really need a middleman?
2769  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US trains Syrian rebels in Qatar on: May 28, 2014, 09:37:18 AM
They did the same in Afghanistan back in the eighties. It's always good to have a bunch of terrorists on your paylist if you have to secure some oil/gas fields, pipelines or blow up something for restrict the rights of your own citizens and silence your opposition.
2770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Conspiracy Against Bitcoin on: May 28, 2014, 09:20:29 AM
That wasn't my list. I've quoted Smiley. BTW the entire EU(SSR) is the next big communist/leftist experiment. The original commies have failed, the national socialists have failed as well, the welfare state concept of the social democrats ended in bankrouptcy. Now they are mixing the organizational structure of the USSR (powerless parlament, unelected leadership) with the goals of national socialists (building a kind of Eurasian empire), by using the tools of the welfare state (breeding and keeping unedicated or brainwashed masses and third world immigrants at the cost of the middle class, and using them as a voting machine). As I see the US is on the same path as well.
2771  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Prince Charles: 'Fundamental transformation' of capitalism needed to tackle ... on: May 28, 2014, 09:01:36 AM
After the Climategate the "manmade global warming" fearmongers were hiding under the rocks and kept a low profile, but nowadays they crawling out from their hideouts and spreading crap again.
2772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC users are there around the world and how to increase their numbers? on: May 28, 2014, 08:43:45 AM
Make a lot more useful services for bitcoin and that will increase the numbers spontaneously Smiley.
2773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Conspiracy Against Bitcoin on: May 28, 2014, 08:40:41 AM

Following are the status of current communist nations about Bitcoin

1. China: Banned except from Hong Kong, the free trade zone
2. Russia, the ex-communist: Banned but running the arguably biggest exchange BTC-e

3. North Korea: Kim Jong Un is yet to figure out what is Bitcoin. He is more interested in nuclear weapons to jump on the US force deployed at Japan.
4. Cuba: The Castro brothers are yet to figure out the internet, let alone Bitcoin.

Where did u find communists are trying to centralize Bitcoin ?  Cheesy

Actually China and Russia are more hardcore capitalist then most of the western capitalist countries Smiley.
2774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wordpress.com just deleted the Willy Report, evidence of Mt. Gox fraud on: May 28, 2014, 08:34:11 AM
The wordpress TOS is a swamp. Very easy to violate as it's just a bunch of generic rubbish and lots of "rubber rules".
2775  Other / Politics & Society / Re: “AirHES”, a possibility to independently obtain cheap & green electricity on: May 28, 2014, 08:08:31 AM
The maintenance cost for such a solution would be a bit high. In addition you can't use this everywhere because of the air traffic. BTW in remote places can be useful especially because of you can use the "airships" as communication platforms for example.
2776  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Song are you Listening To? on: May 27, 2014, 10:09:38 PM

oh, oh! i mentioned wolfenstein and galactix, but how could i forget this masterpiece -- heroes of might and magic!! the first one was my favorite. i think they started churning a bunch of them out, didnt keep up.

...and the RPG variant (Might and Magic) was also brilliant. Have you guys played Ultima Underworld? Wizzardry was also a really good one.
2778  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Proof of massive fraudulent trading activity and how it has affected the price on: May 27, 2014, 02:38:34 PM

Maybe you are right but denying the price impact of buying nearly 650K BTC in three months is nonsence. That's quite a massice buyer pressure.
2779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is on its way D O W N..... on: May 23, 2014, 10:53:57 AM
Dont know much about this crypto, but am amazed how its marketcap got as high as it did.
From what i gather its too centralised and run by a corporation, i guess thats not so good an idea?

Ripple is mainly targeting banks and large money transfer networks not some guys from BTT like us. From this point of view beeing centralized and run by a corporation is a very good idea. Banks and money transfer corporations much more fond of doing business with an other company then with a bunch of random blokes with some mining harware across the world Smiley.
2780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Magicoin slogan contest (5,000 MAGIC bonus) on: May 23, 2014, 09:59:02 AM
