About Stroll at Mercedes, I doubt it, but then again I don't see Stroll as a real F1 driver, just another rich kid who got there thanks to his money. His father buying a whole team even for it !
I see it similarly with Stroll, although there are certainly worse drivers ala Stroll. But I don't think the father bought the team for his son, but he has a personal interest in it. How many billionaires can say I have my own Formula 1 team? This must be a prestige project of father Stroll or do you think differently? |

It's very difficult to say who could win pole position in Austria today. My prediction is on Quartararo or Bagnaia. Otherwise I don't think the other riders are fast enough for it?

Man, that was a heartbreaking race for both the RedBulls and Norris. Man, seeing Seb finishing 2nd and going to the podium makes me really emotional as it kinda reminds me of his glory days in RedBull. Nevertheless, congratulations to Esteban for winning this Hungarian Grand Prix! He was really consistent on this race and it showed his skill throughout the race. Lastly, the battle between Hamilton and Alonzo was a sight to behold- Alonzo still has it. Without Alonso, Ocon probably wouldn't have won, Alonso was keeping Hamilton very well behind him until his braking mistake, that cost Hamilton a lot of time. Perfectly done by Alonso. On Vettel's disqualification, Aston Martin have now appealed it, claiming there was enough fuel in the tank. |

I remember that as if was yesterday. I don't think it was a deliberate kick by Rossi. To me it looked like his foot got brushed off the foot peg when Marques brushed up against him. Regardless, that was the race where Rossi accused Marques of interfering with him to help Lorenzo, who is Marques' countryman. If you watch some of the previous races from that season it definitely looks like Marques was harassing Rossi regularly. IIRC Marques had a couple DNFs earlier that season which put him out of contention for the championship, so he had nothing to lose. Marques is an amazing rider, but that drama and his aggressive style are among the reasons I've never been a fan of his, and likely never will be. Exactly Marquez has helped Lorenzo in the last races, even if he would never officially admit it. Marquez might have been able to overtake Lorenzo in the last race, but he probably didn't want to, but it's all pure speculation. Unfortunately, it's official now and Rossi is retiring after this season and we won't see him on the track again. |

This weekend finally again MotoGP in Austria and 2 weeks in a row. It's been a grueling 5 weeks, I hate the summer break. I'm a huge fan Rossi. I wish he was still competitive, but considering that he's 42 years old, that makes him one of the oldest to race MotoGP in the modern era. At this point it's unlikely he'll ever be able to compete for the championship, but I hope he gets to stand on the podium several times in the next couple of season. As for the teams that still want to sign him, they're not crazy. Rossi is probably the most recognized MotoGP rider in the world today. His star power can still be instrumental in merchandising and ticket sales. To this day, I'm still inclined to spend a few bucks more for gear if it's got "VR46" emblazoned on it. I'm totally with you and also a VR46 fan, but it's true that he won't be able to fight for the championship anymore but as you also write the 200th podium in his career he can certainly still achieve, the bike wasn't exactly his last season either... Spartak Moscow play against Benfica today... I will probably refrain from predicting this match, because in my opinion the level of play of these clubs is the same... It is possible that both teams will score! And most likely it will be a good game!  Sparta vs Benfica is a high profile match for me today and already in the 3rd qualifying round. I also think that the match will be even and I think a draw is possible. Yesterday I was not surprised except that Rangers lost away from home. The goal in injury time was very important for the Rangers, so they can go easier into the second match at home. Otherwise, PSV and Monaco was sovereign as expected. Danke euch hab ich garnicht mitbekommen das ich genommen wurde   ja dann muss ich mal loslegen bei der bounty gehen die wochen ja von freitag bis donnerstag mal was neues  ob ich es diese woche noch schaffe mal schauen. Glückwunsch auch von mir. Bei chips.gg war ich auch bei ihrer ersten Kampagne. Damals war es nur für wenige Wochen als Test. Und die BTC gingen auf den Account von chips.gg so dass damals auch noch Transaktionskosten dazu kamen. Das ist ja mittlerweile nicht mehr der Fall. Viel Spaß in der Kampagne. Derzeit im Sommerloch ist es nicht gerade einfach die 20 (oder 25 bei anderen Kampagnen) geforderten qualitativ guten Posts zu schaffen, auch im DE Forum ist derzeit eher weniger los, da sind 20 und mehr Posts nicht so einfach zu schaffen. Aber uns allen die Daumen drücke um den Anforderungen gerecht zu werden . |

Well , so far I'm right. We have a great race and not a boring one.
I'm watching the race and I must stay that Lewis is looking for a great comeback at he's currently in P5. Max car is simply damaged and can no longer keep up the pace with the rest of the cars so if he won't catch points , they might retire the car for prevent further damage.
I still hope for a 2nd period of rain as the radar is showing big rain just between Budapest and Hungaroring.
I'm glad you were right and it didn't turn out to be a boring race. There will probably be a new winner today for the first time in a while. Alfa Romeo blew it with the unsafe release, but it looks good for Williams to get into the points with both cars, which is not a matter of course with the Williams, even if many cars were eliminated in the first lap today. For another rain, I don't believe... |

Strangest start I have ever seen, only one car on the grid. A clear mistake by Hamilton and Mercedes, all the cars passed Hamilton and change the tires at slicks.
The luck Hamilton had at the first start, they have now lost at the second start. But that's racing.

A normal race ? No, no , no. I do not hope for a normal and a boring race as we have so many this year that at this point if the race is boring , I simply turn off my TV and do something else. Fans tried to bring alerts to FIA and F1 in order to make it more than a 2 car show because we did not have a battle in 3 or 4 cars for 1st place for so many years now.
On my radar , the rain is near Hungaroring right now and in 2 hours it will rain in almost all Hungary so lets hope the rain will come and bring us a great show.
Well it's definitely not a boring race but what an unlucky one for verstappen again. He was kicked out of the race in turn 1 by bottas and now it looks like the bottom section of his chassis is damaged and i am pretty sure, that he will not win a single point in this race. Bottas will probably get a penalty for that but that doesn't really matter because hamilton was untouched in this incident and will probably score another 25 points in this race while Verstappen will probably not win any points or only a few. It loos like everything is going against Verstappen now which makes me very sad because i really hoped for an open championship this year until the next race.  Luck is really on Hamilton's side at the moment, with both world championship chasers Verstappen and Norris shot down by Bottas. The damage to Verstappen's car is significant and is said to cost a second per lap if it can't be repaired. The momentum is clearly with Hamilton at the moment. |

In the current live feed of the Hungarian Grand Prix, it does not look like rain, now it depends on the start, if there is not much, there will be little change in the standings except possibly in a safety car phase.

Did not watch bronze medal match but I sort of feel like Djokovic lost it a bit after losing chance for gold and entered self destruct mode. After seeing him breaking racket and cursing I decided to try and cash in on his nerves, just placed a bet against him in mixed doubles for high stakes. Have a feeling it will be two very bad days of his career.
You found the right words to describe it, he went into self-destruct mode. Unrecognizable Djokovic: imprecise, slow in moving his legs, exhausted and nervous, so nervous that he threw his racket away for the umpteenth off-ball. It was his brother's turn to retrieve it and bring it back to him. After yesterday's semifinal loss to German Zverev Nole he said that his tennis suddenly collapsed. I guess we all saw that. In a previous post it was mentioned that Djokovic is focusing all his attention on the US Open, but in the bronze medal match you can see that he is very disappointed or rather angry as mentioned in the quote. For me personally, he took the Olympics very seriously and wanted the gold medal. But surprisingly, it didn't work out for me either. But nervously he has already made one or two slips before. Well if he didnt want to win the olympic games he wouldnt even come to the games. He had a strong desire to win a gold medal all his life but i guess he was just too tired. He needs to focus on the next grand slam and recover really fast. Its normal for him to be nervous he is very emotional when it comes to playing for country It just wasn't Djokovic's tournament, that's just the way it is. But for him to lose his nerve and destroy his racket is not professional in my opinion, even if he has lost his nerve a few times. I'm curious whether Thiem will be fit to defend his title at the US open, but my favourite to win the Grand slam is Djokovic again. |

It was surprising for me as well but it was due to the temperature on the circuit that made the cars slower so those times couldn't be beat even if Max was catching a super time in that lap which did not happen for both Hamilton and Max.
Tomorrow race will be another story as there is some high chances for a storm on the racing time and Hungaroring on water would bring some chaos with those tight corners. Who do you count on guys ? Max , Ham ? Or could Bottas or Perez surprise us ?
I was also hearing about this rain forecast for the race and Sainz was also talking about it but looking among the forecast in the worst or best case (depending on the point of view) it will cloudy with a maximum of 20% rain. Even if it rains it will be a fight between MAX and Lewis but at least it will be fun. Basically we have to hope for rain today, without rain it will be a boring race which Mercedes will win. The gap between Max and Hamilton surprises me a bit. That's why we as spectators should hope for rain and a good start from Max, otherwise it will be a boring race without overtaking manoeuvres. |
