About Stroll at Mercedes, I doubt it, but then again I don't see Stroll as a real F1 driver, just another rich kid who got there thanks to his money. His father buying a whole team even for it !

I see it similarly with Stroll, although there are certainly worse drivers ala Stroll. But I don't think the father bought the team for his son, but he has a personal interest in it.

How many billionaires can say I have my own Formula 1 team? This must be a prestige project of father Stroll or do you think differently?

It's true that Stroll father have a good relationship with Toto Wolf but I don't think it will be enough.
Hamilton wants a wingman that doesn't bother him or compete with him over World Championship and Stroll want the Mercedes seat so he can win.
So Bottas and Russell swapping seats makes sense, except Bottas has been a great teammate to Hamilton.
At the same time you can't rule out Lando if Mercedes manage to snatch him from Mclaren it will be great way to secure their future.
Just Imagine  having Norris & Russell team? They'd be securing good drivers for years.

No way, the seat of Bottas is already taken by Russell, Toto said it in the past.
Stroll can be only the second driver of Russell when Hamilton will retire.

But do they have a someone great in their academy right now ? I don't know why Mercedes doesn't have a german pilot but I know for sure they can't take Mick right now as he is destined to drive at Ferrari at some point.

Regarding Stroll to Mercedes ...that is not possible anymore as Aston Marton develops around him right now so he won't leave anytime soon or anytime at all.

Quartararo was the fastest, but unfortunately he was hit by the Track limit. This led to Jorge Martin of Pramac Ducati in pole position. He recorded his best time with 1 minute 22,994 seconds. Followed by Francesco Bagnaia in second position and Quartararo in third position. Maybe later will be the day for ducati, and Bagnaia will be the winner in the series opening half of the season.

He is a debutant on teams but seems Ducati teams make the achievement on the circuit, as we can see the top 1,2, and 4 as filled up by Martin, Bagnaia, and Miller. while the champion, Quartararo on 3rd position. What makes me curious to watch today's race is Dani Pedrosa. He is back on the race with a wildcard. Although he is out of top 10 starting grid but he is known to be a rider with nice start. I hope he can show something great on the race to compete for the top position. KTM is competitive enough this season so I expect something special from Dani Pedrosa.

Max Verstappen is leading the list of F1 car repair costs.
That is ironic since most tge damage done to his car he was not the one to blame.

No wonder why Christian Worner wanted the driver team that caused the accident to be the covering the bill for repairs.
With about half of races left most of the drivers are on there 2nd power unit
While Vettel, Verstapppen, Russel, Sainz and Ocon they are on their last engine changing the engine one more time for them will get them a grid penalty.
That's why many see Bottas penalty for playing Bowling in Hungary track was not enough since he wrecked couple cars that some got unrepairable Power Unit.

Verstappen probably had the least to do with the damage himself, Alonso the old master is very economical there 😀

I don't think Marc will get a penalty, but as a normal race accident, Marc just braked too late and slid into Aleix, luckily there was no accident.

Dedrosa is riding the race and is currently 12th, Miller has just crashed in the fight for 3rd place.

The riders at the beginning of the race don't seem to be seriously injured, Salvadori has gone himself and Dani is currently riding.

I was also wrong, I also thought that Bagnaia can race for the win, but after the restart it didn't go well for Bagnaia, next week is the next chance.

But respect and congratulations to the rookie Martin, top performance on one of his favourite tracks.

I'm not surprised, they got new parts for the bike and suzuki has the ride height device now.

Crazy race day with Pedrosa's crash.  I was glad to see he and Lorenzo Savadori were unhurt.  I found it funny that the let Pedrosa back into the race, but I guess rules are rules.

Sad to see Jack Miller crash out again today.  Barring a miraculous remainder of the season, that just about puts him out of contention for championship.  I was predicting a Yamaha - Ducati finish to the season, but I figured it would be the factory Ducati team, lol.

Without the red flag and the interruption of the race Pedrosa would not have been able to return to the race, it is only possible because every MotoGP rider has 2 bikes at his disposal, but if rain had occurred he would have been unlucky because he would have had no bike left. But that's the way the rules are, but a remarkable achievement for a rider who hasn't raced in real conditions for so long time.

I would have guessed a victory for Bagnaia, but for Fabio it probably felt like a victory, with the weak Yamaha it is simply not possible to do more at the RedBull Ring. By the way, the second best Yamaha was Rossi, and the Petronas team was the oldest team ever in MotoGP with a total of 77 years.

Regarding Mick, yes it is a good "story" for him to drive Ferrari one day, but if Mercedes wants to, they could afford to get him whenever they want to, but Mercedes became a bit more "British" then German thanks to Lewis Hamilton, British people root for that team more than Germans at this point because of him, and they do not feel that need. Look at how George Russell is getting primed to race with Hamilton after Bottas is fired, that is two British drivers all together.

I honestly think that we should take that as a sign that Mercedes do not have any interest at Mick at all. If they however actually wanted him? They could have just paid him more money and get him anyway. Stroll's dad is very rich, it is not about Aston Martin being built around him, if Daddy Stroll paid Mercedes a ton of money, he could get him in there.

Mercedes in its current form is not a completely classic factory team. Toto Wolf has his own share of shares in the team and there are also British co-owners who also have a very big influence. If earlier Daimler owned 60 percent of the team, and Wolf had 30 percent, then in December 2020, the British chemical giant INEOS increased its share in the team and now each of the parties owns 33.3 percent.
