2781  Economy / Reputation / Re: REQUEST FOR ATTENTION OF: All 1xbit Signature Campaign Participants on: April 21, 2022, 07:50:03 PM
As for that user you refer to, he sent multiple PMs asking for the tags to be removed. He literally begged FatFork and myself to have the tags removed by claiming he made a mistake. I sent him hope by saying he should focus on being a good contributor in this forum to show he was a reformed character but as soon as the 1xbit signature campaign opened up again, he re-applied to join. That account is probably controlled by a puppeteer that has farmed many accounts for signature campaign purposes.

Here is what I already suggested to him but he decided to ignore it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5347222.msg59670365#msg59670365

There is no need to waste time discussing such members. People like him are pond scum of this forum. Only two days after begging for forgiveness and vowing never to make such a mistake again, he re-applied for the 1xbit scam campaign. But that's not really surprising given his history of cheating with alt accounts and spamming the forum.
2782  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: April 21, 2022, 05:34:13 PM
Ima jedan novi hardverski novčanik na koji sam nedavno naletio a čini mi se da bi mogao biti zanimljiv. Radi se o uređaju OrigoKey od tvrtke bitOrigo.
http://www.origokey.com/

We can't sign the address, yet there are confirmations of dozens of thousands of dollars being paid out, not only as a refund, but as won funds too (even on this forum).

So far only in the contests we raffled out about $5000. The sum of signature campaigns is already above $100 000.

I'm afraid we can't show more information, but there are a lot of circumstantial evidence.

From what I can see, these contests were held off-site, so they cannot be considered proof that the casino pays winnings to regular players on the platform. I specifically asked about transactions from your gambling platform. And please don't imply that such information would violate player privacy, since all transactions are public information on the blockchain anyway. I am not asking you to post user accounts associated with transactions.

When you say "we can't sign the address", does that mean you're not really in control of that wallet? In that case, who makes the payments?

2784  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 21, 2022, 10:58:59 AM
Just 3 days ago i`ve got sign up bonus(with promo code) for $50. The only way i could use it - to bet $20 and $30. Yesterday i won $40 for one of the bets and i withdraw it without any problems. So it is possible to get some profit from such bonuses, but it is difficult enough. I see such bonus with so easy rules to withdraw the first time and don`t sure that can get such bonus again.

I'm not sure I understood. You got a promo code for a $50 sign up bonus, but the minimum wager amount is $20 so you had to place two bets on $20 and $30? Or did you get two free bets totaling $50? In any case, congratulations on your win. If it's not a secret, would you mind telling us which casino it was and where you got the promo code?
2785  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 21, 2022, 10:46:23 AM
At last, feels good to finally withdraw my 100K Sats Grin

Yeah, this takes a while when you do not gamble too much, but when it happens it really brings in a lot of help and feels amazing. I am not saying that it takes many years, but I barely get it like once a year, usually a bit longer than that, like 14 months per 100k reward points. I have never used it for anything else and I doubt that people use it for anything else neither.

In the end, it is not profitable and costs a lot more than what it should be, rewards are all way too expensive, so cashing out means a lot better and profitable and takes a long time but at the end of the day it is going to be quite profitable for sure. That is at least how I see it.

Yes, as you said, the best way to use RPs is to accumulate 100K and exchange them for satoshi. But it takes a lot of time, patience, determination, gambling activity or referrals to reach that amount, and not everyone has that. So, kudos if you can get there every 14 months!

There is no doubt that this is one message that many of us wish we could see on our Freebitcoin accounts, but only a few of us are able to.   Wink
2786  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 21, 2022, 10:22:34 AM
This one is actually pretty straightforward for me. Sure, I will use it occasionally if I have the incentive. However, I don't think everyone would agree that LN is really necessary for casinos to become more user friendly. Some gamblers invest a substantial amount of money for their "entertainment", so the transaction costs of the Bitcoin network are not a huge concern under the current circumstances.

Depending on the situation, I can see potential for Lightning being used for a lot more than gambling, and will likely see it implemented in many applications in the future. But for now, using the mainnet is still more convenient for the end user.
2787  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Gambling Review Site on: April 21, 2022, 09:23:36 AM
He just posted referral links. I think these review are copypasted from somewhere. The OP just got bonuses  from referrals - it was his only purpose. He doesn`t need any feedback, if he need it - he ought to remove 1xbit as fast, as possible, but he did nothing. If we visit other crypto forums - i`m sure, we can find the same threads there.
I just visited his site but he doesn't really review gambling sites, the site only lists gambling platforms and hides the referral link script on visiting sites. I don't think it's a problem because it's his personal site but I agree for 1xbit he should refer to the detailed discussion thread 1xBit.com Coming back to Bitcointalk, Solving all the issues. Since he is part of the Bitcointalk community and he is active in thread gambling, it is necessary to review gambling platforms that receive negative feedback from senior reviews before promoting them on the site.

It isn't the first time we have seen something like this. There are literally thousands of websites just like this one. It's not even a review site, it's merely a list of referral links, with no editorial input or personal bias, other than the fact that they try to drive you to places that pay them top dollar in referral fees. The fact that they give such high rating to scams like 1xbit casino is really telling about how they approach the matter.

Ah well, what does it matter at the end of the day. It's not like the OP will read this either. He just wanted a quick, easy way to promote his "review" site, which really isn't all that great, and make a few bucks.
2788  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Gambling Review Site on: April 20, 2022, 12:56:52 PM
I have already read so many times in various topics of  "Gambling" section here in BTT that 1xbit, 1xbet are scammers, that I just lost count.  I don’t defend them, but I can’t understand why everyone is discussing these scammers, and their casinos themselves are still included in all catalogs and tables of gambling sites?  How is this to be understood?

What catalogs and tables of gambling sites are you referring to? The vast majority of websites where you will find 1xbit / 1xbet casino are nothing more than affiliate links. Not to mention affiliate links are such a scam in the first place, that are often unethical, misleading and manipulative. The websites that run affiliate links are often engaging in deceptive marketing practices. They will blatantly link to specific promotions. These promotions can be very lucrative. However, they are not only misleading, but will often lead people to gamble with not so reputable sites.

Or are the owners behind these sites so influential that even such public opinion does not harm them much?

Money can buy a lot of things, but, unfortunately for 1xBET, reputation isn't one of those things.

Or maybe it's just the unfair actions of competing casinos that deliberately create the image of scammers?
Who can explain all this?  Explain, please.Huh

You can, of course, believe in conspiracy theories if you want. But the truth is usually the most straightforward explanation.

I am somewhat think those pictures must be a template from a website builder.

Yes, most likely they are. These pictures of their team members are stock photos that are available for purchase from stock photo galleries such as Getty Images and iStock, which is why they can be found on so many websites. This is just another example of scammers taking advantage of the Ukraine crisis to create fake charity donation ICOs. Pretty lazy one, if I may add.

As stated before, a fact is something that actually exists, or that is verifiably true. Your statements are not facts because there is no evidence to support them. Without evidence, we don't know if they're true or false. In order to actually consider whether something is true, we must use the scientific method.

Can you show evidence that your platform actually pays anyone their winnings? Can you show actual transactions on the blockchain? Can you sign the address of your hot wallet so we know they are actually yours? Unless you have some solid evidence to support your claims, you need to stop making them.
2791  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: [VELIKA LISTA] Hardverski novčanici (80+) on: April 19, 2022, 11:05:04 AM

2792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where does this merit comes from ? on: April 19, 2022, 08:21:24 AM
Wow you really helped me ser. Thanks so much for clarification. But exactly what is mean by outside of bounty section ? Like in alcointalks, marketplace etc. please solve this one more last question of mine. Sorry for taking your time. Thank you

You can earn merit pretty much anywhere on the forum, however, there isn't much chance to earn merit in the bounty section. It is about passing valuable messages. You will be rewarded with merits if you write something that will help others. It would be difficult for you to achieve this if you just hunt for bounties.
2793  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 32 Common Words You Hear Cryptocurrency Investors Use Daily on: April 19, 2022, 08:09:35 AM
Sorry to totally disagree with you too sir, we in this part of the world ALSO(keyword "Also") know  custodial and non-custodial wallets as centralized and non-centralized wallets.

That you or a group of persons know something as something does not necessarily make it a rule that generally or widely, that thing should be known as you or the group of persons know it, we have many things in the world today that have different English names in different regions and parts of the world.

I clearly mentioned in my post that centralized and non-centralized wallets are also known as custodial and non-custodial wallets, you can also Google search "centralized and non-centralized wallets", let us know what you come up as result.

It is important not to confuse terms, especially in the Beginners & Help section. The terms centralized and decentralized are most often used in connection with exchanges, not wallets.

The term centralized menas the presence of a central authority on the system that regulates the operation of the platform. In decentralized systems, no single entity acts as a regulator of the system. On the other hand, custodial (in terms of crypto wallets) means another party controls your private keys, while with a non-custodial wallet, you have sole control of your private keys. Web-based exchange wallets are the most common custodial wallets these days, and this makes them centralized, as they are part of a centralized service, but the term is not commonly used in this context.
2794  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitwings promises smartphone that can mine 2 ETH/month. Ponzi scheme? on: April 19, 2022, 07:18:26 AM
At least their ANN thread is locked and, since Bitwings_official left the forum, there are no more paid shills spamming and bumping the Bitwings thread 24/7.
Of course, until they start with a new scam...
2795  Economy / Exchanges / Re: About my safety on exchange on: April 18, 2022, 08:02:48 AM
It is true that most centralized exchanges ask for KYC, especially when doing business with fiat. So, if you prefer a more traditional way to trade, then you need to provide certain identifying information to the exchange.

If you're interested in being anonymous, and don’t want to provide any personal information to the exchange, then you have a few options, including:
- true decentralized exchanges like BISQ,
- p2p trading sites like LocalCryptos or HodlHodl,
- anonymous exchange of cryptocurrencies for cash in person.
2796  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: April 15, 2022, 09:48:11 PM
For the slightest benefit they are carrying out activities which are harmful to others and they are not ashamed of it. Despite having so many unresolved reports, they tell users that the problem will be solved by 1xbit teams, but they also know that there will be no solution to this problem and that user will not get his money back. So to be safe, new gamblers need to be smarter and avoid such members.

Those who are involved in promoting 1xbit scam don't care about other members who might be scammed by the casino.  All they care about is themselves making money at the expense of others.
Take one out of many examples: Erdogan - We can see what kind of person he is from his trust feedback. Multiple scam accusations have been made against him, and it's already known that he has no problem promoting scams for personal gain.
2797  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Professional newbie on: April 15, 2022, 09:19:07 PM
What is the likely origin of professional newbies here in forum;
Is it Origin 1? (May already be knowledgeable prior to joining forum)

Is it Origin 2? (Probability of being an account owned by a user who is already a member here)

Is it Origin 3? ( The- I too know habit)

It is quite possible that someone has been around long enough to change accounts if they wanted to. But, why would it matter? They are not breaking any forum rules.
Nevertheless, as some have already stated, I also believe that most "professional newbies" have some prior experience and basic etiquette of communicating online. There are people who literally know nothing about cryptocurrency and yet post quality content on bitcointalk. For example, some members may be experts in some other fields, not necessarily closely related to crypto and blockchain. So I don't believe they are all alt accounts.
2798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned on a ongoing Netflix series Queen of the south on: April 15, 2022, 08:28:30 PM
Yeah, it's nothing new. I'm not complaining, though, it's a welcome change and the more people embracing cryptocurrency, the more likely it is that Hollywood is going to feature more and more. However, we are still waiting for the full feature film to "pay back" the community that made it all possible, namely the people that funded the Bitcoin revolution. I hope it happens soon, as it would make a great film.

I don't think he is having fun, the way he wrote a reply because he just said that he was down a hundred dollar. That's still a lot of money to recover but much better if he won't chase his losses because that's hard and he can end up in more loses. It can only be fun for someone that doesn't count their losses.
Gambling is fun as long as you aren't losing all your money in it. I'm a regular gambler, and $100 isn't a big deal for me (although it is valuable and it depends on the time). I have the experience of losing thousands of dollars in gambling within few hours. In the same way, I have the experience of making similar amount of profit within a short time. I have said about my previous week stats in my last post. My overall profit stats isn't negative at this casino.

Yes, I agree. When it comes to gambling, knowing when to stop, or at the very least slow down, is essential. There is a clear and cut difference between playing small stakes and big bets, and a severe danger in going for huge stakes too early. Some may be tempted by the thrill of the chase when they first take the first bite of a winning strategy. However, as any coach will tell you, overconfidence, which is the single greatest cause of failure, often leads to poor results.

Hello FatFork,

Do you know where I may find more websites as these?

Thanks

I'm not sure why you'd want to find scams like these other than to expose them publicly and warn other members about them. Anyway, I found that some of these sites are being promoted on social media, and some of them have even tried to lure victims from this forum. Furthermore, I follow several cybersecurity research groups, such as @MalwareHunterTeam, that regularly alert of such and similar cyber threats.
