2781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do I need to know has a newbie on: October 22, 2022, 06:08:58 PM
The only thing I think you should know is be careful with the choices you take on the cryptocurrency space. If you have money to invest into cryptocurrency as a newbie the market is bearish and loosing money now is at high risk. I'd advise you to think of a business to start under cryptocurrency niche. It could be a site or products and services. These are long term investment with lesser risks compared to the risk involved in buying and holding crypto especially for a person who is not used to the market fluctuations. Think and research about businesses available on the cryptocurrency niche and note those which you can handle and start with them. It takes time but, you could become another CZ In the next 3-5 years.
2782  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's up with ranking on: October 22, 2022, 05:54:00 PM
OP don't take advice from anybody except yourself, the only thing available here is a guide to what you want it's left for you to advice yourself on what to do, so that you won't have to blame any forum member for losing funds. Go through all the threads in the forum that looks like an advice most of them carry under it and quote “not a financial advice" do your own research.

Try importing it on a mobile app wallet. The price may show.
2784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patient, don't get discouraged. on: October 19, 2022, 06:51:17 AM
I think the merit system was created for these people who have no interest about being full fletched members of this forum. Anyone that wants to contribute will definitely keep in touch with the forum whenever possible. However, most people prefer getting crypto information from other communities other than Bitcointalk just like most of us are not active on Reddit, Twitter etc. They are many channels for Bitcoin lovers if only they wanted to contribute here, they'll share information from the channels they are active on.
2785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 19, 2022, 06:35:14 AM
Without Bitcoin and cryptocurrency they will be no Bitcointalk forum that's one thing that would have happened to the world.

They is no much difference between people that don't know about Bitcoin and those who know Bitcoin. Nothing special would have happened to the world. Technology evolves with time. What would have happened to the world if they was no electricity? They will be no computers resulting to no internet and Bitcoin, but people existed without electricity in the past. Hence, we appreciate technology because it makes things easier and one tech leads to another. Cryptography birthed cryptocurrency and exchanges which created more employments; the key to livelihood.
2786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me out!! Exam-related questions on: October 19, 2022, 06:21:06 AM
OP this thread should be moved to the service section, endeavor to attach the amount of Bitcoin you'll pay the person that will solve the questions. Assignments are not done free anywhere online. Follow the right section, don't abuse this section because the forum is Keen to help and tolerate any kind of question relating to bitcoin. These questions are too numerous to tackle so make an offer on the service section if you need help.
2787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did a business proposal of paying 440 nights this Hotel for 1 BTC, October/2022 on: October 19, 2022, 06:04:51 AM
The deal will be more interesting if the management agree in terms of bitcoin volatility; if the Bitcoin price hits 30k your duration will increase to 540 days and if it drops to 15k your stay will decrease to 340 days.  Grin
2788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 12 years ago this man was accused to be Satoshi on: October 11, 2022, 01:10:20 AM
A cryptographer named Michael Clear declined the wonderful offer, after he was said to be Satoshi. Accepting the false claim would have made him famous till date but he made the right choice. Hence, someone is in court paying lots of money to lawyers claiming to be Satoshi, what an Irony. I think the people decides who is Satoshi then its left for the person to accept or decline like Michael Clear a good man - a bad fellow would have used the opportunity to execute illicit operation on bitcoin and extorting funds from those that sent him mails.

His online activities proofs he is not Satoshi indeed!

WOULD YOU DECLINE SUCH AN ACCUSATION? Grin
2789  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2017 joined but still member on: October 09, 2022, 05:48:50 PM
You don't have to be ashamed of something that can be changed by your volition to the forum. What to do is very simple, make quality thread and response. And it won't take so much time to reach the legendary level all you need is merit to hit there time is not against you. Unlike some members with lots of merits that could have qualified them to legendary but their activity count is holding them back. You see they is nothing to be ashamed of, merit is holding you back and you just need to get them through active participation. Cheers.
2790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin a top player in Libertarian Government on: September 21, 2022, 09:29:53 AM

According to Simple Wiki; Libertarianism is a kind of politics that says the government should have less control over people's lives. It depends on the idea of maximum liberty. Libertarians believe that it is usually better to give people more free choices. The top advocates of this kind of government are cryptoanarchist since 1988 after the manifesto was released by Timothy C. May the idea of Bitcoin was born. The goals of Crypto anarchists include all; with the help of Bitcoin, we utilize today Two persons said Tim; may exchange messages, conduct business, and negotiate electronic contracts without ever knowing the True Name, or legal identity, of the other.

However, years have passed, today it's happening through the help of Bitcoin, what he said in the next lines of this Manifesto; "These developments will alter completely the nature of government regulation, the ability to tax and control economic interactions, the ability to keep information secret, and will even alter the nature of trust and reputation. " became a threat to the Government and they are working strides ahead to stop Bitcoin.

Though Bitcoin cannot get terminated without tampering with the laws of physics and mathematics, it's almost impossible to stop this Libertarian Government from taking over the political world.

Why is a major part of the world population not on this train - are they not interested in this freedom?

I asked myself this question and the answers to it are in the last paragraph of the manifesto regarding the use of the network to execute illicit businesses, crime, tax evasion, etc as tools the State will use to halt this movement. In my opinion, these things exist in the real world and may not help to stop people from jumping on this train. Another famous reason why; is the volatile nature of the currency, which, still, is not enough to stop users as citizens lose money daily with fiat. I'd say that a plethora of people are not familiar with tech and working on crypto networks, hence won't jump on what is not clear to them. However, the vision is here and clear. A long journey is ahead, as we'll have to build a world where everybody, not some, will be able to understand Bitcoin and its currency.

25 years ago, Adam Back mentioned The only available option left for the Government in his response to Cryptoanachy and Libertarian Government. He said that if the movement gets tough and the sitting Government feels threatened, they may switch Off the Internet. And demand a GAK (Government Access to Key) before switching it back on - it's a possible action that seems impossible and depends on the pressure this movement effect on the Government He added; that the Internet can be turned off - through the disconnection of key backbones and ISPs for a while.

In a nutshell, we need to vote a libertarian Government candidate into power to achieve this goal completely - Adam back. With this idea, it'll be easier to convince people to hop into the crypto network, where they can trade freely without paying taxes. Share your thoughts.

2795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Limitations of Bitcointalk Members from Developing Countries on: September 12, 2022, 08:38:21 AM
3G network is now as slow as the 2G network when 3G was initiated but, I guess that 3G works very fast when few people are online, I'll suggest you wake earlier than people in your area who use 4g enabled phones, during the early hours the network speed is always stable and you can accomplish few tasks before the network starts getting saturated later in the morning when offices are open and more internet users available.
2796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Twitter Criticize Apompliano for removing laser eyes on: September 10, 2022, 02:32:36 PM

I think you are wrong

Probably I'm wrong as I don't know his knowledge capacity on bitcoin would have added that he wants to further his work on the bitcoin ecosystem, because his company is focused on building a job network for the bitcoin niche and lots of people already got jobs through his firm. He is integrating a new form of business into the ecosystem though such things exist but his grows real quick because of the fame he got on the bitcoin niche not only on twitter.
2797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Twitter Criticize Apompliano for removing laser eyes on: September 10, 2022, 12:43:33 PM
And that laser eyes were really trendy among certain communities on Twitter, I never knew the origin of the laser eyes or the story behind them but I often see them on Twitter. Am also following pomp (that was because of sovryn project, he was one of the VC investors).
Imo, I don't see the connection between taking some time off Twitter and removing the laser eyes pic (especially if he was the one who introduce it) there must be something more to it.

There are different type of btc supporters, the seasonal and the diehard, I think pomp fall under the former category, but he should have known better the reaction that will come from his followers taking such a step. He could have just taken some time off without the profile change.

Indeed he would have done it without taking the laser eyes off his account, could it be he's making use of the clout he got on twitter? and its firing back at him though some people still stand by him despite his moves. I think he is busy building his company as he pointed out that the bear market is a time to build.

Anyone who follows anybody on twitter or facebook, or telegram or any other social media and cares / does what they have to say about crypto or any financial thing deserves to loose all their money. Anyone who is an 'influencer' and gives advice has an agenda. The agenda is to get as much money from as many people as possible.
It's just that simple, anything else you are just deluding yourself.

-Dave

The mistake of investing into cryptocurrency because of the false predictions from influencers shouldn't be overlooked. I'm sure they get depressed easily due to the person whose advise they follow ain't following the same advise he's giving out. For sure they fill their bags shilling shitcoins to investors just to impress their clients and depress followers who may get scammed along the line.
2798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Crypto Twitter Criticize Apompliano for removing laser eyes on: September 10, 2022, 11:30:03 AM
Some cryptocurrency community members on Twitter attack Apompliano's handle for removing bitcoin laser eyes from his profile and changing his thoughts on bitcoin. They view him as the kind of bitboy who praises bitcoin during the bull season and back-off when it gets bearish. Though he didn't avoid the attack, he went ahead to make a write-up about his recent decision on bitcoin "bitcoin can humble anyone Apompliano said; It allowed me to amass a large online audience, it gave me the opportunity to travel the world, and it opened up opportunities that I could have never dreamed of" But one thing he stated for sure about the claim in the article which I understood as indirectly saying, I need a time off from the Twitter bitcoin community is, Twitter is not real life he said; there is an inverse correlation between the amount of time someone spends on that website and actually getting shit done. Someone pointed out that he made that article to retain his followers that may be sad about his action.

In my opinion, some influencers like Apompliano know little about bitcoin. They promote bitcoin for the fame attached to the niche. Read through where he said; don't believe your bullshit and don't be the main character. He clearly stated that he is hungry to learn. That backed up my claim that he's not deep into bitcoin and wishes to study the technology better reason why he hated predicting bitcoin in 2019 to hit 100k in 2021. His prediction was close, anyways he was wrong. Technically he doesn't want to be the main character. Instead, he wants to be the learner.

In a nutshell, Many people believe those with plenty of Twitter fellowship, and they get disappointed along the line when the said influencers disappoint. They are many critiques tagging him on Twitter because he edited his profile - to them, it means changing his mind on bitcoin. lol. They are no point in deceiving people - when the market is bullish, those influencers go bullish with their tweets, and once it's bearish, they'll stop tweeting bitcoin.

However nothing is wrong with anybody's decision on bitcoin its theirs but, its normal to get ill responses on social media when something doesn't sit right with followers.

2799  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Guide] Easy to build bitcoin ATM - Includes Bill Collector on: September 09, 2022, 01:01:08 PM
I checked the demo on his Twitter and it's really cool project. My only concern is the ESP32 WT32-SC01 only has WiFi/Bluetooth  connectivity, which isn't very reliable for ATM.

The ESP32 WT32-SC01 is specifically made that way and its recommended for offline projects, observing the ATM it can operate offline with the help of the WIFI/Bluetooth connectivity feature.
2800  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / [Guide] Easy to build bitcoin ATM - Includes Bill Collector on: September 08, 2022, 02:48:07 PM
This Update came from Ben Arc a FOSS hobbyist, met him on twitter about to engage with him hopefully on ways to optimize the ATM to spit out FIAT.

The budget for getting the parts needed to build the ATM is $200. Below are the items needed to set up a bill collector Bitcoin ATM.

    i) ESP32 WT32-SC01 £20

ii) DG600F(S) Multi Coin Acceptor £30

iii) NV10USB+ bill acceptor (Seems to be plenty 2nd hand ones on ebay) £70

iv) Box ("aluminum medicine box" on amazon £30), ("Amazon Basic Home Safe", for more secure solution £70)

    v) Screw Terminal block £1

vi) 12v power supply, best to get one with terminal block adapter (12v battery also works well, for unplugged version) £8

vii) 12v to 5v step down converter with USB £5

    viii) Male/female GPIO jumpers £5

Images of the parts

WT32-SC01 Pinmap

THE WIRING FOR COIN ACCEPTOR

The Coin-acceptor can be purchased pre programmed with your currencies, in any case, he shared a youtube video that guides on how to train the coin acceptor.

Bill Acceptor Wiring

It is required for the bill acceptor be configured to your currencies and set to S10 mode, its common to buy it preconfigured. However, if you have to program, the author specified you purchase this Wire
and download the Validator manager software he also provided a guide on how do it yourself. NOTE: When using the guide-PDF don't mind the programming cards they are old fashioned, focus on the host cable.

Mounting in Box

For the Aluminim Storage Box solution, holes can be cut with a sharp knife (clearly not secure, but fine for somewhere you can keep an eye on the ATM or for demoes).

For the Home Safe solution, holes can be cut with angle grinder and a very thin cutter. (If you have not used an angle grinder before, don't be scared, they're cheap, easy enought to use, and very useful. Just take your time and wear safetly equipment.)

He specifically use CT1 sealent/adhesive (or similar) for mounting screen, although the screen has screw points, which should prob be used for added security.

WHERE THE ATM CAN BE USED?

It'll be of good use in a store that accepts bitcoin and as-well replace a tip pot - using the coin acceptor or bill acceptor.

Can the ATM dispense FIAT?

The Author assured me that it can dispense Fiat but with the use of other gizmos like acceptors with hoppers

Will add to this thread any info he shares with me on DM (if he does)
