Yes, they were actually accepting 0 confirmations transactions at some point.
I search a bit and saw some articles about the issue on steam and yes they do accept bitcoin with 0 confirmation which is a mistake accepting bitcoin without knowing about double spend.

The big problem is that many less legitimate projects also swim along on this wave and people sink a lot of money for it. This ultimately reflects negatively on the crypto market as a whole. And the worst part is it hard to identify the less legitimate to a better one especially if it's hyped in the social media, take Pixelmon and Mekaverse as an example. These two are I thing the most hyped NFT across the web when it wasn't yet out yet when revealed, it shows how they rigged their own drop. One of our facebook group member has been scammed for $1000. Scammer has used a Binance usdt address to receive the payment. Is there any way to track him? We need his number to get his identity. I know it's very unlikely to happen without any legal action but we can't go for legal action from Bangladesh.
Report this incident first to proper authority and for sure they will cooperate with binance to ask those important details to trace up the criminal and most provably this is easy for binance to provide especially when there are crimes happen and their platform has been used. Just tell your friend about the suggestion given and pursue the case so that he can put the scammer on jail and this will provably a big news on crypto industry if that happens. |

Bitcoin already accumulated huge marketcap and for sure this already make those regulators to think good on this since for sure they are thinking ways to find ways to get more income to their country and to help their economy and since bitcoin is already available which can possibly give them if not billions or millions of dollars yearly income they provably sign a regulation so that they can control how their users use this on their transaction inside their country.
