2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 20, 2021, 08:22:42 PM
Magsayo needs to plan every strategy that he will use against Russell. A defensive fighter is the hard one to take down
it will take a lot of preparations for Magsayo.

He should seek some advice from Donaire, Magsayo sometimes does not conserve his energy, he loves to throw punches that are not accurate as he is thinking that he could  KO someone who hits him without knowing his defense gets open. This is a title fight, a one time opportunity for some, so he has to carefully plan how to win this fight as it's a big-ticket to his future success.

Probably boils down to his trainer and what plans they are going to approach this fight.

I do agree that the he should be accurate in his punch and conserve energy in the early rounds because it's going to be a rough night for him. But emulating Donaire's style might not be good though, it's the timing, so they need to have better planning otherwise Magsayo might end up getting knock out too.

Of course, anything is possible, Magsayo could be knocked out too because Russell knows how to win as the champion. Magsayo has only become a top contender but has not become a world champion yet, if he really has that skills in him, then he should win the biggest fight of his life. All I can say is I wish him luck, continue training hard, and always believe that he can win. Lastly, a loss here is not the end of his career, but a win will only more doors for big opportunities.

Yes, AD is really a problem now, he has become more prone to injury and it has affected the Lakers a lot. Speaking of Thomas, I think we should not expect much from him, his out of his prime already and he would not be able to contribute big time for the Lakers as there's Lebron and Westbrook who would always love to bring the ball.

Without Davis the Lakers are in trouble, that's the reality as we already saw what happened to this team last playoffs when they face the Suns. However, there's still a good news on the injury of Davis as he will not be out for a long period of time, as per report, he will only missed 4 weeks as the injury was just an MCL Sprain.

read for more information
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10021287-lakers-anthony-davis-out-at-least-1-month-after-knee-injury-diagnosed-as-mcl-sprain

That's right, as long as he comes back, that's what is more important and Davis is very important in the playoffs than the regular season as the Lakers can enter in the playoffs even without him. I wish him a speedy recovery, Lakers would improve with him as he is a good producer of points inside.

I was surprised while browsing my social media so I double-checked and was shocked it was real.

Deron Williams beats Frank Gore via split decision in boxing exhibition between ex-NBA, NFL stars

Looks like Deron Williams has found a new career.  I never thought he is good in boxing, of course I've known him as a great NBA player before he was injured and he also had some big contracts in his NBA career. After that win, I think he can still have a new fight coming, maybe the main event next time.
2784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 20, 2021, 02:40:54 PM
And who wouldn't want to see this great fight?

GGG will be tested again by a tough Japanese fighter who is a champion in his own. But covid-19 intervene again and so all we can do is really want for the Japanese government to ease their travel restrictions as this fight will not be move to any countries. And then maybe we can start to speculate again but obviously GGG is the fight favorite amongst us boxing fans.
As of now, we don't have that say to help ease the restrictions in Japan because we know that when it comes to disasters and plagues, they're one of the first countries to act and all we can do now is wait for the Japanese government to open again and resume this postponed fight so we can see how this ends.
We can almost say that Murata is viewed as a hero in Japan not just as a boxing fighter but because he's also a gold medalist on olympics 2012. This will be great for GGG, although we know that GGG has the upper hand in this match and Murata has held the title of MW since January this year.

If he is viewed as a Hero then this is a big fight in Japan and people will surely watch this big fight. I read some article that Murata is even more popular than Inoue and I didn't expect that, but with that information, I now expect that Murata will have all the pressure as he is fighting a known great fighter and a champion as well.

My early picks will be for the super dogs.  Grin
Golden State Warriors versus Sacramento Kings - Warriors -13.5 Wiggins out due to health and safety protocols but with a fresh Steph Curry and Draymond Green should be enough to win the game in a blowout.

I think as long as Curry is there, warriors would be able to win by blowout.

If no one could stop Curry, he might drop 50 points in this game, we know that he is the greatest shooter in NBA history now, so his journey will continue while polishing his legacy.  And what makes me think the Warriors will dominate is that they are playing on their home court which they only loss twice in 16 games.
2786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 19, 2021, 09:21:06 PM
Without a doubt it is an honor to fight against Tyson but at the same time I do not know how honored Paul would feel if he actually had to fight a Tyson that went after him for real instead of the one he will face in which he will not try to KO him immediately, after all Paul is not really a boxer and even if Tyson is old there is no doubt in my mind that he could destroy him if he really wanted to do it.

Yes, If Mike will push knocking down Paul, the chance is really high. Not because he's aging means that he can no longer have that killer punches, maybe it's not as hard as it is way back on his prime but there's still impact if the punches converted clearly to Paul's critical parts, It's hard to say but if in case Tyson will not follow whatever the camp agrees to happen he can ruin Paul's career.

Most fans are waiting to whatever surprise Tyson will bring to add more entertainment to this fight. Roll Eyes Grin

I don't think it will ruin Paul's career because he has not won a fight yet, as long as he survives and is able to fight again for his next fight, he is still good to go in making money. The Funny part is, Jake Paul keeps winning while Logan Paul Keeps losing, but they both make good money.  Grin
2787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Arthur Beterbiev vs Marcus Browne Light Heavyweight Championship on: December 19, 2021, 08:45:45 PM
apart from this knockout win which allowed him to defend his WBC and IBF light heavyweight titles, Artur also increased his fight record to 17 KO/TKO from 17 fights.
This is a pretty good achievement, the match he presented was quite impressive, even Marcus had to struggle and was overwhelmed several times.
looks like Canelo will get another pretty fierce opponent now

Arthur has to win this game yet, every boxer even how impressive his record will eventually find an opponent that would be his kryptonite.
Look at Wilder, he almost have a 100% KO ratio, but when he faced Fury, things change and it made his career to doom.

Canelo vs Beterbiev would be a great match-up, but I go for Canelo here( no explanation needed).
Exactly, everyone no matter how good he is has some areas in which they are not as good as in the others and if the opponent is able to exploit those vulnerabilities then they get beaten like everyone else, another example of this was the Joshua vs Usyk fight, Joshua has almost everything you would want in a heavyweight fighter, but the boxing skills of Usyk are unparalleled, so he beat him and in my opinion he did easily, so despite the advantages Joshua had he was beaten simply because his opponent was way better on every boxing related skill.

Exactly, because even the greatest boxer of all time which is Muhammad Ali has 5 losses in his professional career. Canelo is a great fighter and though he is not undefeated, he can still continue winning because he develop his skills very well and he is one of the most active boxers in his generation having 2 to 3 fights in a year.

Meanwhile, we have Phoenix vs Ginebra now, it's a close game, now tied at 102 with few minute left in the 4th quarter.
let's watch this game together.

The game went to OT but Ginebra manage to win the game because they have JB who made things possible. With that win, Ginebra is now ranked next to NLEX with 3-0 record, so this is really fun because big teams were having a good start at the expect of bad teams like NP and Blackwater Elite.
2789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 13, 2021, 09:48:21 PM
Has he even started playing in the D League yet?
Is G league the same with D league? If so, then Thompson played per report.

Klay Thompson going full-speed in G-League practice, hits first 18 shots
He was also reported that he is joining the team practice already, so that is a sign that he is coming back soon but the organization does not give a specific date as they don't want us to expect so much.
I confess that this leaves me confused most of the time. I read some news a few days ago that Klay Thompson would be back soon and it seems that it is still in December.
Now I see this news giving a sense that there is no precise date for his return.

Anyway, that's rumors and speculation, but anyway I'm really excited to seeing Klay Thompson playing in the NBA again.

Yes, there's no official announcement yet as to when he will return, all we read are just speculation but it's positive speculation as it's back with the good basis that he is really now in good form. They don't have to rush things up, besides, GSW are doing fine and they will surely qualify for the playoffs.

2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What online betting company you know gave you a b'day present? on: December 13, 2021, 08:42:07 PM
Birthday gift from online casinos is nice but 1xbet? Sorry a big NO for me, as it is a well known scam site in the industry.
If they give you birthday gift, means that you have completed KYC process?
Although it is nice, but I wont be interested to do KYC just because of the birthday gift offer especially because the amount of the gift is just that low.
Same here, if I would undergo a KYC requirement, I would make sure that I only submit my information on the site that has fewer complaints and registered legally, AFAIK, 1xbit, or 1xbet does not have a legal entity as a crypto casino, so I would not risk for just a birthday present. I'm gonna bookmark this thread, let's see if there are other sites that offers this kind of promotion, but it's not really a big deal though.

This is new. I don't see early picks yet.  Grin We have 9 games for later guys. Share your picks.
It seems like they are underestimating the Rockets way too much to give them a +9.5 against the Hawks. So I'll take advantage of this and risk a +10.5 for the Houston Rockets.

I'm going with the same pick, it's actually +10 as of now.

Though Rockets have 2 losings streak already, but they all cover the handicap given to them and his high handicap is likely going to be covered by the Rockets as well, so I'm gonna ride with you and let's win this thing, how about ML, you don't think they'll pull an upset here?
2793  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 13, 2021, 01:54:16 PM
I think Canelo moving to HW is far stretch for now, I mean just imagine Fury vs Canelo? or even Wilder vs Canelo for all the money? The weight and the height difference will be too much.

Canelo is just testing the waters in the CW division and if he see fit here, then maybe he will stay or go down to LHW but there are two champions in the weight division that has big power as well and maybe that's the reason why he skip LHW and go directly to CW because it's "easy" fight for him and possible to get all the belts after just a couple of fights.
Of course, Canelo is not ready for the HW division right now and he has stated he has no plans to move to it, however everything is going to depend on how much success he has on the CW division, taking into account how popular he is it should be obvious this is a very calculated move for him so I doubt he will have too much problem adjusting to the division, but if he can deal with the increase on punching power from his opponents and dominate the division, then the only option left will be the HW, still it will take a few fights to know if he can make the transition to the CW successfully.

I can't imagine Canelo would go higher than CW, he will be facing giants in that division, unless he has the power like Mike Tyson who could make a taller guy fall with his powerful punches. I checked Canelo's height, he is 1.75 m while Tyson is 1.78 m, so not much of a difference, he can still be in HW but he has to finish his business first in CW by dominating here.

Good comparison and we really can't conclude if what inside Canelo's mind.

If he has this kind of desire, he needed to be accomplish one step at the time, not an easy task but if he is keen fulfilling this
kind of dream the success will put his name to this sport's history.

Future is not ours and we should enjoy this upcoming fight first then assume on his next target.

Whatever plan he's camp has in mind will be reveal after this fight, the assessment mostly happened after the event Wink

This fight will gauge his journey in the future, if he easily dominates Makabu, then there's a reason to believe that he could dominate this division. He got some skills, he is fast and precise, so all the qualities of a successful boxer is on him, if others were able to succeed when going up, for sure nothing is impossible with Canelo too.

Speaking of KD, nobody talking about the 51 piece he put up tonight?

Yes, because we are not surprised anymore, he is a great player and he can drop that numbers anytime. Durant is now the leading candidate for MVP, I must say based on my observation, and as he continues to play impressive basketball, there's a huge chance that he'll win the award. Brooklyn are really a good 4th quarter team, 30-13, that's the dominance they have.
Him, Curry and Giannis and to a certain extent Joel Embid is putting MVP numbers.

I really thought that the Pistons will take this one from them, but damn, they played really good defense in the fourth with Durant exploded.

And that's what have been missing for them, that fourth quarter closed out. And now it seems they've found their rhythm.

Nets are a decent team, they are not perfect but they are winning games, and thanks to Durant who is the most consistent on the roster. Look at Durant, he is really tough and deserve to be a future hall of famer as he is carrying his team even one of the big 3 is missing.  Durant just feeling it, we don't need speculate a lot as he is just putting the numbers and consistency that would brought him the MVP award.
2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 13, 2021, 12:42:28 PM
He has beaten everyone in the Middleweight division so who's left for him except champions like Murata or maybe one of the Charlo brothers. But that is if Charlo wanted a piece of GGG right now because it seems they have been avoiding him for quite some time now. So I guess it's better for GGG to really target Murata and wait for the fight to be available.

He deserves to get a huge fight before he retired because the guy is amazing when it comes to fighting anyone who is capable to beat him but most of the time he managed to beat them instead. His record is incredible with only 1 loss and a high percentage of knockout wins, I'm sure he will give us a sure entertaining night which will be recorded in boxing history. Too bad guys like him have reached the age where they need to rest on their profession, I hope there will be some people who will gonna be like them in the future.

Since Canelo's rematch is not gonna happen, then it's just right to expect a big fight.

@Yaunfitda, I like to see him fight the Charlo brothers, if he can beat them all, that would be satisfying and he'll surely create some noise in the boxing industry again.

fulfilling his dream to be an undisputed champion, this great win of him is his ticket to Inoue's fight and he could try to beat Inoue again, so if that would happen, it could be his last fight if he losses but if he wins, he could go for Casimero's belt to finally get all the belts and be a unified champion.

He is, those who are saying that Donaire is old, are completely wrong as we saw how Donaire uses his experience and technique in boxing to knock out Gaballo. The young fighter does have the stamina but does not have the skills to win against a real champ.

Donaire vs Inoue 2... this should be the talk in boxing now as Casimero is completely out of the picture.
2800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 06, 2021, 09:59:08 PM

I think it will be very different for Rigo, seen some highlights of Butler and he seems to we willing to engage and not run and play defense like Rigo. Of course, once he taste Casimero's power, he might go play defense but for sure he will love to go toe to toe.

He can't do that, he needs to be as fast as Rigo in order for him to run away from Casimero and based on his fight highlights that I see, I don't see him as a quick fighter so Casimero has all the advantage, he got power and speed and it's just right to see him as a heavy favorite.

Watching some of Butler's highlights, it's clear that he has a different style compared to Rigo. Even during Rigo's prime, he is really known to be more of a defensive type that's why he has that movement until then. And now out of the prime, he will stick to that and it was proven when he do a marathon performance instead of a close fight against Casimero.

Butler won't do a performance the same with Rigo. He will face Casimero face-to-face. A test of who's much stronger.

as the odds are heavily favouring casimero, i guess it is better to bet on ML for will the fight go the distance? yes is at 2.80, whereas no is at 1.34 in stake's odds. not really high but 2.80 is still good. they have high regards on casimero here that this will finished early.
but i think, i will go for yes, here, as butler is for me a better fighter than rigo. he may engage casimero inside the ring and try go toe-to-toe.

If you are looking for good odds, then take the yes as 2.80 is already a decent odds. However, I suggest that you bet on "Winner & round range", their you can find a better odds.

Casimero 1-3 5.20
Casimero 4-6 4.00

and Casimero by decision at 3.20
