~snipped~
For example, why are they promoting joining their group and paying this amount if they can already profit from the trades they already predicted? So it is pretty useless, no matter where I see it.
But of course, that goes to simply show they're signal marketers and not traders. Most of those people don't even trade in the real sense of trading. There was one I confronted on telegram. The dude was fond of supplying signals which have slightly passed or filled. Truth is that real traders don't have the luxury of time to be running telegram groups at the same time trading. The best a professional trader may do is dish out signals to those under their referrals once in a while. They hardly charge anyone for this because they know it's pittance.

I haven't seen professional traders advertise a telegram group to join their signals. Those professional traders are just wasting their time managing telegrams for trading signals; instead of doing this, they will just read books or learn more about trading. I don't see many professional traders on Telegram, though I do notice some in copy trading because once they've been copied, they can still earn money even if they're just trading on their own; it's a side hustle while trading.
2782  Other / Off-topic / Re: lending money to people. on: November 28, 2022, 04:07:05 AM
The biggest fear with lending money to someone is getting the money back, and no matter how we decide not to give again after someone we have given before refused to pay back you'll find out that there are still some people that you still give regardless of your strong decision to stop lending money. What are biggest factors you consider before giving to these people? For me, I consider if the person is reliable and someone that keeps to their words, the persons financial status to know if they can actually pay back the money especially when it is a big amount, and I consider our relationship.

Trust is not really working when it comes to lending money. You let them borrow your money because you trust that person, but it turns out that he or she will not pay you. It is really best to see if that person is capable of paying you back the amount of money he will borrow and also to be sure you can both sign two documents that he needs to pay it back (though the issue with this is that if you file a case against the person who is not paying you back, it will cost a lot more money than the amount the person borrowed). But always keep in mind that the borrower really needs to borrow money because he has reasons like they don't have food now, they need to pay tuition, etc., so in this case, I think we should just borrow them the money and just think of it as giving it to them as a help.
2783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 03:10:45 AM
This is not a good question in this forum, as I am sure that they are really opposed to it. But so we can anticipate what the move from the government is, here are my thoughts on this. The government will levy massive taxes on bitcoin owners in the country that small time holders cannot afford, which will benefit the government because only the wealthiest and most eager to own bitcoin will pay taxes, potentially generating millions of dollars for other projects. That is only my thought, but the main reason they banned bitcoin was because it was used for illegal activities.
2784  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase in cost of running the family on: November 27, 2022, 02:02:14 PM
The situation of bringing up the family is not easy and I think one way to helping ourselves not to add more financial burden is by reducing the number of children we give birth to. This can help.
reduce children?
I am very taboo with those words, it can be very wild to understand whether it is sold, killed, given to families who need children, or put in orphanages.

I think you only need to determine a plan to have children when you already have enough savings to finance your child to avoid the same incident as your friend.

It's strange how he'll reduce his children. I think he just misphrased it; what he means is not to give birth again if the financial status of the family is not stable. Planning is really the key and also savings before adding another child, since it would be a burden to you and your family if you added a child and your financial capability was not ready. But I noticed that many of my friends and relatives have three or more children and only the husband works, but they are still able to meet their needs. When I asked them how they did it, they mostly just said work hard and God will provide.

Bitcoin can provide greater returns than any investment, but its risks are also not small.

lottery tickets can provide even greater return , risks are also not small but the results are almost immediate .

Winning a lottery is very rare, and your odds of winning are 1 in 14 million, which is close to impossible, but still, there are lucky people who win it, so you still have a chance to win a lottery. The less risk we see, the less profit or money we gain—that's how it works. Bitcoin has a higher risk, but it also has a higher return; it is entirely up to you whether you want to take that risk or not. In life, we really need to take risks to be successful, but when we lose, let's just treat it as a lesson and learn from it.
2786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 27, 2022, 11:27:48 AM
Last 23 November, i placed a bet on Japan vs Germany where I was pretty sure that Germany would win the match. I wonder that Argentina make mistakes but that would not be repeat by Germany? Whereas I was confident and breathing a sigh of relief when Germany scored a goal midway through the game but never imagined it will lost in the second half. I was so disappointed that I almost stopped betting from that day and opened my sports book again today. Just trying to get that golden time back on my betting.

Nothing is sure in gambling lolxxx. I have had alot of terrible losses but I have never thought about quiting gambling but I used to give myself some break. Those break periods I will use them to be predicting matches that I will not bet. Just to see the result after the whole match.
I discovered that if I don't put money my predictions are more accurate, but once money enters my prediction will become trash and make me to lose money. I no longer depend on gambling money for anything apart from entertainment and nothing else.

Gamble what you can afford to lose. There was no 100% winning rate in gambling, whether in casinos or sports betting. As always, I am saying this, no matter how weak the team is, if they can play, then they still have a percentage to win a game. I am not really fun with football, but that match made a noise again on social media and the game I played (they had an event to bet on a specific team and win a reward). You just need to rest and stay away first from gambling so that you can move on from your loss, so next time when you are good, try to only bet the money that is okay with you if you lost that game so it won't hurt you that much.
2787  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: November 27, 2022, 10:25:13 AM
Money is a good follower, but is a poor leader.
Money will always lead you astray, but it will follow you well.
You do need money to live but you can't buy happiness with money.

Money can't buy happiness, but without money, your happiness will quickly collapse, there will be no two people who love each other and can live together for life without money. That's harsh but it's the truth.

To be honest, I am married, although we love each other very much, we also had a time when we almost got divorced due to economic difficulties. Once you run out of money, you won't need anyone, not even your loved ones and your spouse, you feel useless and don't want to bother anyone anymore. But since my income is better, more money, we rarely raise our voices to each other. We all know that money can't buy happiness, but when you're in that situation, when you don't have money, you can't think like that. It must be said that money is an extremely important factor in our lives today.

We had the same experience, though we didn't get to the point of considering breaking up. I really noticed with my partner that whenever I lost a job or had no money to spend, mostly she would raise her voice; every hour she gets angry at you, and no matter what you say, they still get angry at you. The worst for me was when I lost my job twice. That scenario is very similar; instead of cheering me up to get a new job or saying kind words to motivate me, it did the opposite, and it really hurts me a lot. Well, money really can change it all; this is a really hard truth that we need to face right now.

Life today is really harsh, if we don't have money, we obviously have nothing, so it's understandable that people are always looking for ways to compete, even find ways to harm each other instead of helping each other just for money, for money people are willing to do the worst. Sometimes I think the power of money can buy happiness these days, I don't know if it's correct or not. But sometimes I feel that way.

It is not really good to use money as the basis of our happiness and power, but that is what we saw today, and it is a sad reality. Many people have stated on social media that money cannot buy happiness, but they are flexing some expensive items and materials, which still means that money can buy happiness through expensive things. But I've also noticed that when those rich people reach the top, they lose their happiness, even though they have enough money to buy everything.
2788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Promotion and Adoption in my locality on: November 27, 2022, 08:56:35 AM
No matter with big or small business kinds I think Bitcoin keep worth when accepting as payment currencies, make easy when transaction actually adopted Bitcoin as payment way because costumer seems easy when have Bitcoin as alternative way for payment currencies.
Adoption is limited to regulation, meaning that the speed of adoption is very slow when your country's government does not legalize bitcoin as legal tender. Everyone also knows that bitcoin provides a lot of convenience in transactions, but you can't go against government regulations.

I don't know if the country and government where OP lives legalizes bitcoin as a means of payment, but if it is legal then the speed of adoption there will be even good.
I wonder if his country legalize bitcoin and other crypto, but then here in us there's a place where being popular in the internet now because they are accepting crypto payments but given that our country doesn't legalized it still his business is still running with no problem for now, I don't see that it can really affect the government if the establishment is not yet big I mean they still paying for taxes of course because their business is Registered. A country can easily adopt bitcoin if it is legalize to the government to prevent any big problems in the future.

If bitcoin is banned in their country, I am sure he will not accept it since he will be targeted by the police or government for what he has done, so I'm sure it is legal. Here in our country, bitcoin is not banned nor legalized; we are in the natural on it, and we still got announced that we are the second "ownership of cryptocurrency.", which is a massive adoption in our country, despite the fact that we don't have laws about it. All countries can easily adopt it as long as it is not prohibited in their respective countries.
2789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking For good signals channels on: November 27, 2022, 07:52:47 AM
It is stupid to use signals in trading, and even worse when a person decides to buy these signals. They are sold by people just like you, maybe they are a little better than you in technical analyzes, but this does not mean anything, because everyone is wrong. Instead of wasting money on buying signals that still won't bring the desired result, invest that money in your education.
Honestly, I mean there's no other way to explain it better than that. Wish I had merit to splash on your comment. Those who rely on signals are simply saying there are folks who can accurately tell them the future and that's not possible. At best, those who supply signals either are Technical Analysts or Fundamental Analysts. Both are speculations. While TA is reading charts, FA relays heavily on news. Reading charts is speculative. There's no assurance in speculation.

This just popped into my mind: I remember before I saw someone selling lucky lottery numbers, and I was shocked that many people purchased them. This same thing applies to those who own trading signals. I saw a lot of this, where it needs to be paid before you can join. Imagine if they already say that they can accurately predict the future so that we can trigger that trade. Then why are they still doing this? For example, why are they promoting joining their group and paying this amount if they can already profit from the trades they already predicted? So it is pretty useless, no matter where I see it.
2790  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 27, 2022, 06:57:03 AM
I prefer creating my own business but I know it is quite impossible if I have no one to back me up financially.  So in a meantime, I have to supplement my plan by looking for a job and being an employee.  It may take years to a decade and eventually with smart spending, I might get the fund I needed to create my very own business.

Having our own business gives us more challenge and responsibility than being an employee.  We maybe have control over our time, finances, and decision but it will be tied up to our business.  But no matter how hard it is, establishing our own business enables us to venture into a world where unlimited income is available.

Working for someone or a company is not everyone's primary goal, but if you find yourself in that situation, you may have no choice but to do it in order to meet your daily needs. Everyone dreams of being the CEO of their own company because it will allow them to be independent and have no one else control them just because they are working for them. The main benefits are self-respect and peace of mind, which can only be attained if you are the sole proprietor of your company.
Owning a business can give you peace of mind aside from giving you a financial stability, because in business there’s always a problem that you need to deal with and I can say that its more stressful but of course since there’s a money for doing business your only problem is about managing it. I see myself being an employee living my best life with less stress, but hopefully someday I can be able to do my business that can make me more successful, this is the main goal probably.

Peace of mind, I doubt that.  If you are a business owner, you will never have peace of mind.  You should be aware that being the owner, you bear all the expenses, decisions, and the planning of your business.  For sure it will never put you in a peaceful mind estate especially when you are just starting, or a competitor just established his business identical to you just a meter away.

I am not a business owner, but that peace of mind that he is talking about is better than a job. I already work in multiple environments (office, private company, and remote job). The stress that brought you here is so big that it may have an effect on your mental health. My thought is that I will keep working hard and doing all the tasks that can do good for the company, but it turns out I will not get a raise, or if I do, it will be only a few cents, but it can't pay the stress that it has brought to me. In the business, you are the owner, but everything you do is for your own good and may affect others. What I mean is that I would rather choose the stress that brought me into business because it is for my own growth than those being an employee whose boss does not care about them.
2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 27, 2022, 05:53:45 AM
Online casinos and sports betting platforms are big businesses like we all know, and currently considering the economic situation of things around the world many businesses are affected and have been taking measures to cut costs in terms of reducing staff, taking loans etc to still be able to sustain operations. How do you think online casinos and sports betting platforms are adjusting to manage the situation?

Online casinos seem just fine even during the worst days of the whole world because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In fact, lots of news and reports referring to the growing big numbers of people that do online gambling during that time are everywhere, especially in European countries. It seems that online casinos really don't feel being under the worst crisis during the pandemic.

Physical casinos are those that really got hit badly because of those obvious reasons. But soon they will go back to normal, that's for sure.
During the pandemic good number of cryptocurrency accepted gambling sites came into usage. The number keeps increasing even after the pandemic. During the lockdown out of covid-19, people are within their homes. More traditional Casinos too shifted their services online. In all time period the usage of gambling platforms never decrease, as people like you and me looking free money amidst the risk have turned to be common.

I'm not sure that traditional casinos have shifted their service online during the pandemic. Can you give examples?

I heard a few in our country, but it is not like they set up cameras around their physical casino and they start live videos. Instead, casino owners lunch a website containing games in their physical casinos so those gamblers can still play at home. As we can see that our economy is already up and running right now casinos are back and running now with also special measures, but I am sure that it is not the same as before that there are a lot of gamblers that will visit casinos as some prefer to play online.
2792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN VS LANDED PROPERTY on: November 27, 2022, 04:52:28 AM
I've read so much about Bitcoin in recent time despite it's bearish state now, the growth I've read and seen from the inception of Bitcoin, has been so far an amazing one,
Outside making my first Bitcoin purchase on the 23rd, of October 2022, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5418706.msg61204329#msg61204329
I'm a also a local agent for buying and selling of landed properties, and from my observations, I can say that investing in Bitcoin has some edge(advantages) over investing in landed properties as follows
* Easy sorting
* Availability
* Ease of Trading
* Faster D.O.R

Will you sell Bitcoin to buy a land or sell a land to buy Bitcoin?
What would you rather invest in?

You've only explained the positive or advantageous side of bitcoin, but mostly you haven't thought of the risk side of it, like, for example, the bear market that is happening right now, and if you already bought bitcoin around $20,000, then I am sure you've lost money. Comparing the two is difficult for me because they both have advantages and disadvantages, so we can't really compare them. For example, land value will increase year after year, but your problem now is finding buyers, and the paperwork takes a long time to process and requires a lot of effort. You can buy bitcoin while you're in bed, but the easier it is to buy, the easier it is to lose your money, so the greater the profit, the greater the risk.

That’s the risky business right there. Trying to make money without really doing anything is a big risk and should be avoided at all costs.

Copy trading is unlike Ponzi schemes, where you are not doing anything. It is still trading, but you are copying someone else's trades. For example, if the trader you copied purchased a bitcoin at a specific price, that will also happen to your account; if he profits, you will also profit. That is why most newbies tend to go here since they have capital and just want to trade easily.

I haven't tried copy trading, but I have attempted it before. There are tons of fees once you copy a trade, which is why I did not pursue it. Also, just because you copy a professional trader doesn't mean you won't lose; he will still make mistakes, so you will still lose, but most of the feedback I've seen indicates that in the long run, you can really profit from it.

Or is it the other way around? He cares more for his family, especially the child, with that huge amount of money, the child might get overwhelmed and eventually become indeed a lazy child. We never knew how much of a disciple this father is putting to his family to make them a successful people in the future.
As long as this man was using the money to his family as his priority, I don't see anything wrong with hiding the money from them.
I do not think that hiding this information from his wife is a good idea, the kid does not need to know exactly how much money their parents have, as that is not something a kid should know, but this is not the case for his wife.

How can they take the best decision possible for themselves and their small family if the wife is being hidden such an important fact? Also something like this is impossible to hide for long and once she discovers this she will most likely divorce him.
I will marry the woman I love and trust is the main reason I love her, if I keep big things secret like having big money or winning the huge jackpot how can she believe and be willing to live life with me, so I agree with you that what this man did was a mistake, it's only natural if he hides his identity from other people but from his wife and children it's not fair and it's a clear mistake.

What if he has trust issues with his wife? I'm sure he has a good reason for keeping it from his wife, but all of us here (married people) really trust our wives because we marry them, and everything we get is that we inform our wives because we have no reason to hide it.

This is also my speculation as to why he hides his identity(this just came up to my mind). What are your thoughts on this?
  • He doesn't trust his wife (they have family problems)
  • Planning to have a divorce
  • or he will surprise them privately

2797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the world turning into?? on: November 26, 2022, 11:29:01 AM
12 years old is a record-breaking age. I haven't heard this either. We have here 15- and 16-year-old girls flexing their tummies in social media. I mostly see these cases on TikTok that this generation mostly does it for fun, like telling the society that it is okay to be pregnant at this age.

Maybe I need to download that tiktok app and  start watching to update myself. But is that not immorality at that age with minors? Where are their parents? Has the society become this dysfunctional that there is no shame anymore? Those days of my infant years, teenage and unwanted pregnancies were seriously frowned at. And those caught in the act were almost excommunicated from their communities.

That is the most asked question also, but the most answered also by their parents "they can't supervise their child because they are in at work".

I usually watch documentaries about this but most of the families affected by this are in squatter areas and poor countries. When also asked the young mother why they do it they just said "we are curious about it" and also they will state that they don't know how to use a condom and they are shy to buy it in the pharmacy.

I would like to ask the OP, considering the price instability and since I didn't read anything about a cold wallet, will he convert the bitcoin received to a stable coin or will he leave it in bitcoin? I would love you to do a follow up on this and let us know how the business person is faring with it- how receptive are his customers to the new payment option.
That's the same question I have in mind , maybe the barber has a way in which he operates with bitcoin sent to him as payment , this can even be a method of accumulating bitcoin. It is a good promotion and adoption,  bitcoin acceptance for business is not only for big businesses but also good for small businesses, he is doing the right thing for accepting bitcoin as payment. Op has done a great work by introducing bitcoin to a barber.

My guess is that if he only receives a small payment in bitcoin, he will keep it as a bitcoin and will not convert it because his goal is to save all the bitcoin he receives from his customer's payment, and it is also a kind of savings on his part; I know it is a small amount, but it will add up over time. Small businesses are really adopting bitcoin payments; I don't know about the big businesses since bitcoin is very volatile. I think that is the reason that only a few establishments don't accept it, but this can be resolved if it is converted into stable coins or their own currency.
2799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: November 26, 2022, 07:44:13 AM

There are still lots of challenges and tough days that you will encounter here in crypto. Your 10 months of experience is just a part of your big journey.

Regarding your mentioned strategy, actually, there is nothing wrong to stick with that since, after all, we don't know what will happen next.

Take this current market trend as a challenge to improve your strategy.

That is really a test for traders and investors. In this kind of trend, traders will adjust their strategy so that they can win a trade. Let's be adaptive to the trends of the market so that we can still earn a profit. Though the profit is small compared to the uptrend, it is still better than losing money. Try to make another strategy or strengthen your strategy now so that you can still win a trade, but if it is not worth the risk, let's just wait until the market is stable.
2800  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: November 26, 2022, 06:44:14 AM
Facing family life, home is a basic need that must be met, whereas currently many young people in my country are more fulfilling lifestyle needs, such as cars and hanging out in cafes. even though they don't have a house for the future, so the longer it takes, the more difficult it will be to get a house because the price keeps going up, while the longer the car, the lower the price. This kind of basic thinking is something that young people in my country don't understand, let alone think about investing in property

Home or land investment is certainly the safest compared to others, but the thing that makes us always think is not easy to sell a house or land, I want to sell the house I bought 5 years ago and offers from buyers are lower than I bought, And this is a concern that saving investment must think long -term.

Don't sell your house and lot if it is at a lower price than when you bought them, since the price of the land or house will increase year by year. Though I am not sure what your purpose is when you first purchase it—is it for profit or so that you can live in your house and lot in the future? I suggest that you need to wait a few more years if you really want to sell it. I am sure the buyer will find you, so let them come for you.
