2781  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budgeting, How Do I Deal With Unexcepted Expenses? on: January 23, 2023, 11:09:37 AM

Suggest ways to deal with unexpected expenses?
Others would definitely go for their credit card or take out a loan but I think part of the budgeting process should account for such unforeseen circumstances like events, house maintenance, medical costs if insurance isn't an option or won't cover it list goes on, the best is to setup a savings account or some kind of emergency fund that will help cover these bills in the most unexpected scenarios....unless you are in a budget deficit you will have to go for a loan, otherwise cuttimg expenses from your life style to accommodate for the savings will be the perfect adjustment .
2782  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: More platforms will bite the dust? on: January 23, 2023, 10:50:34 AM
There are people in social media that have warned to be cautious with platforms that offer high APY and those platforms that have laid off employees from jobs in their companies.

Kraken, Coinbase, Crypto.com and Bybit did the biggest layoffs for exchanges this year according to the data in this spreadsheet which was created by Wublockchain.

Reason is based on APY Huh I honestly think this is a bais opinion because layoffs are not synonymous to crypto companies at the moment, other top known companies IRL such as Twitter, Alphabet, Amazon, Google list goes on have laid off several of its employees citing reasons from improved technology such as AI introduction, or simply cutting costs of running these companies against huge wage bills.

For our crypto companies it's likely that this happened because crypto value dropped and could not support the wage bill unless a bullish miracle happens to save the employees jobs.
2783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 22, 2023, 03:45:15 PM
I think it will be an easy win for Man City because their opponent was not a big team and they are playing at home. It was seen in the first half that Man City really dominated the game, and I guess in the second half Man City will most likely score another goal.

The Etihad stadium which is known as Manchester City's home ground, you can understand how weak team Wolves are performing in the following screenshot. Manchester City is leading 1-0 in the first half between the two teams. However, Wolves played over 50 minutes but wolves couldn't target a shot against MC .

Edited 1: Halaand got another goal for Penalty 50'
Edited 2: Halaand got his third goal at 54'
Edited 3: Halaand got Hatrick against Wolves.

Halaad the man of the moment, and people said he played in the farmers leave that's why he managed to get so many goals but now he has come to England and already equalled Harry Kanes last seasons goal tally and its only January, does this make the EPL the farmers league...

Today match between Manchester United  vs Asernal is going to be a big deciding game for both clubs, because since this season startrd both clubs have been on a consistent in tgeir performance and if all things being equal Asernal that happens to lead tge premiere league table with the highest points will definitely win the match.

These two clubs know each other quite well and I wouldn't be surprised if they settle for a draw bore, but tbh I fancy a Manchester United win this evening just for the sake of slowing Arsenal down... And to give City a chance to catch up  Tongue But honestly United do deserve some big win against a big club thanks to the work they have put in.

2784  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: January 22, 2023, 03:04:19 PM
I would advice not to go this route Inspite other users cashing in big some few years back when bitcoin was volatile. Today the crypto game is quite different, volatility isn't much and at the moment & market sentiments aren't bullish as the picture portrays... Btw loans should be taken with clear payment plans and how money will be generated, unfortunately bitcoin ROI isn't consistent to guarantee that you will pay this loan out as agreed, the outcome of this will be distroyed relationships, your own savings will be affected to pay this etc Treat crypto investments as a wager which you can win or lose, which means only invest with money you can afford to lose!
2785  Other / Meta / Re: Some Newbie ~ Membar got nice rank through pumpkin contest on: January 22, 2023, 12:39:18 AM
One thing about art contests on the forum is that these can not go unnoticed because everyone sees and gets the invite thanks to being featured on the news ticker! And the fact that it had no entry requirements to secure participation, naturally the lower ranked members were always going to be the majority knowing very well the perks that come with this....on the contrary, new accounts created for the sole purpose of the contest that's a head scratcher for now, a few years from now will give its intentions.

But overall what do the numbers look like, how was the merit distribution for all that participated on average?

2787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 21, 2023, 12:25:04 PM
Juventus were penalized 15 points by the sentence, now the championship can be said to be totally over, do you think it is the right choice or would you have chosen other penalties?  I think it's fair as a penalty, even if the championship has never really started for them this year.
Its not the first time that Juventus have found themselves on the wrong side of the football law, but what I find to be unfair is the people in charge (the board) in charge of these decisions go scout free without any punishment. It's time for these club boards to be penalized for these errors and not the team.. Maybe a fine heavy fine will deter these guys , but either way so much resources and hard work go into these games and to deduct 5 wins from what you have is extreme!

2788  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: January 21, 2023, 08:27:51 AM
The problem is such look like a safe bet when in fact not... I have seen people lose on a 1.005 odd bet which looked like a sure bet but turned out to be a high risk bet that will lead to losing and the unfortunate thing about such wagers is that a player needs to put in alot of money to have a small profit but in the end its all burst! Btw I think bookies actually make more money on such bets because of our greed, it's a hard lesson learnt and can never be too sure of an outcome.
2789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 21, 2023, 07:56:46 AM
Too many self proclaimed prophets of doom everywhere and trying to act like a Mr know it all when they know nothing! And I think these guys do this in trying to paint a a picture of knowing how to read markets and before you know it one or two people will want these guys to get their monies invested using their skills, but we all know this ends in tears. Tbh Let's not entertain these social media critics, all they want is some relevance off the biggest digital asset.

Prediction is more or less likely a gamble so there is no assurance that it will become true even the most renowned predictionist proved to be wrong with many of his predictions.
And when they are wrong, you will never hear from them until a prediction comes true... Con artists at their best.

2793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I turned over $1.344M with Sportsbet.com - https://imgur.com/a/gFB14gl on: January 19, 2023, 11:33:12 AM
I have been gambling since the age of 21 (now 31).

I place the majority of my bets with Sportsbet who are the largest online bookmaker in Australia.

Between June 2022 and November 2022 I turned over $1.344M and over $961k in August 2022 alone.

I was at the pub today with a few friends and they all received $100 bonus bets and I received nothing.

They each turned over less than $500 in the month of December 2022 and $300 in the month of January 2023.

I turned over $200k in December 2022 and already $88k in January 2023 so I called to ask why I haven't received any bonus promotions after spending a lot of money and the answer given was because I have a winning position against Sportsbet in the last 12 months. This has left me VERY angry and proved to me there is no loyalty amongst these gambling companies regardless of how much money you spend.
In today's casino setups, high rollers have always enjoyed special perks that an ordinary player won't have and if other players were credited with bonuses leaving you out..honestly it was irresponsible by them because this not only hurts the relationship that's there between you and them, it shows that winners are not welcome here and I would suggest you leave that bookmaker asap! But we must commend them for not failing to pay out because these are the usual stories high rollers face in the gambling world.

I have decided to permanently close my account on 30/01/2023. The reason for this date is because I have a six figure NFL bet (Kansas City Chiefs to win their conference) which is playing on the 29/01/2023.
Right call and All the best in your last dance with the bookie, hope this bet comes through for you Smiley

I am writing this to remind you guys that these greedy companies have ZERO loyalty or respect for their players and to never forget that. Make sure you have accounts with different sportsbooks and don't be afraid to look around for better offers.
Advice noted, but out of curiosity is it possible that you needed to have signed up for such bonuses like its done on other platforms and btw the procedure of getting such a bonus isn't an automatic process.

2794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoin awareness for easy adoption in my locality on: January 18, 2023, 10:11:10 PM
You have to start from somewhere and you had people come through for you congrats, though I expected to see a younger crowd as they are more drawn to tech related stuff and all... And I know for certain people love freebies try infuse this in your next seminar/come together for better numbers  Cool But am guessing these women could be involved in some kind of trade and you want them to leverage the power of the blockchain Smiley

I am sure that this process will not be easy, especially to convince and attract them to want to know and learn about Bitcoin. Moreover, if I see, most of them are mothers, who may have less consistency. However, if they are really serious, their efforts can be extraordinary.
Just wondering what tools OP is using to spread the word because it's easier to do this graphically say using a projector etc and have your presentation going this way without much effort...

Otherwise Respect to you OP you have taken the first step to your thousand mile journey...

2795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy now? on: January 18, 2023, 08:34:01 PM
While the market is still technically in a bear market, investor sentiment is improving.
Right on the money, price action does suggest that markets are still bearish but whatever we seeing atm is counter trading... Unless markets cross that 22-25k region then we can safely say we are bullish and broken the the current trading range.

I observed that the cryptocurrency market is a kind of green at the moment, but as a beginner, I still find it difficult to tell when the market is actually bullish.
Let those greens not deceive you, even a simple buy on an exchange does trigger this but if you want to know when the market is bullish or bearish invest some time to learn how to trade: this trade is the one that you get to interpret candlestick movements, multitime frames etc then you will have the edge over the markets.

I will appreciate any advice from fellow community members concerning this current situation because I'm considering to buy some coins but finding it difficult to decide on which coin to give a trail.

Just a kind advice, the risk is mine.

The only funny thing about these markets is nobody wants to buy when the market is red, but when it turns green this is when our alarm bells ring so that we can buy but good thing about crypto.. there is no right or wrong time to buy.

Same thing with signature for Sr. Member on smaller screens.

I actually thought this was a problem with my browser but now that you guys have mentioned it anybody found a way around the issue over the sigs, btw on PC these do display just fine..
2797  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 18, 2023, 12:09:55 PM
Bad idea tbh, don't you think this will create more enemies within one's circle Huh

I also believe the system is built this way to avoid confrontation and justification of why anybody would make it on a user's ignore list and for the sake of the forums harmony it's better this way!
2798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle your losses on: January 18, 2023, 08:11:29 AM
I think most of us usually lose the most when we are on a good running streak and get over confident such that  we increase the stake instead of keeping the winning formula going all because of greed... Imagine you were playing with 50 cent entries on slots but because you have been able to catch a few big multipliers you decide to go with a higher amount which only let's you play less than 20 rounds, it's a recipe for disaster. But if these losses come, best to leave the work station and try to get mindset reset and rested by trying something off any gambling platforms and try your luck again.
2799  Economy / Economics / Re: Could this be a ploy by Saudi Arabia to explore the crypto market ? on: January 17, 2023, 10:52:20 PM
Saudi Arabia asserts that it is willing to accept payment methods other than the US dollar for international trade.
So could this be a comparative advantage for the crypto market?

https://www.[]business/energy/davos-2023-saudi-arabia-says-open-to-settling-trade-in-other-currencies-1.93268195
Some few days ago, I was reading on the news that the Saudi government have given binance license to operate as a full fledged crypto asset exchange.

Am not surprised that Binance managed to pull this off when we least expected it!
But then if you remember, during the just ended worldcup Binance themselves ran Cristiano Ronaldo NFT ads during the competition and now Saudi Arabia have their target man as their ambassador who they have put to help them win a bid to host the next worldcup ...Everthing seems to have played out well, talk about opportunity unraveling right in front of our eyes... Killing 2 birds with one stone, well played Binance ,I suppose they had this planned out all along Smiley
2800  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Betnomi.com Review Campaign | 0.001 BTC/Review on: January 17, 2023, 10:29:40 PM
My review:

I came to know of Betnomi 2-3 years back when they were hosting competitions like the Premier League Predictor – 1 BTC main prize ,  Premier League Predictor – 1000$ & other predictor events of which I did manage to win one or two prizes, but coming back here a lot has changed since my last visit, the website got a fresh new look which I like and also runs fast and smooth, plus the platform still gives players an option to choose from several popular crypto coins to play with which is commendable. And of course, these guys are known for hosting all kinds of promos and competitions and currently they have the weekly wager contest which is one not to miss.

For casino players, you will be glad to know that most of the world's biggest game providers are supported here, talk about Play n GO, Pragmatic, Bgaming, No limit list goes on . For anybody that has been playing casino games, you do agree with me that among the most popular games at the moment are crash based games and fortunately Betnomi does have its version going under the name of 'blast' which is one fast based entertaining game to play.

For the Sportsbook section, which happens to be my favorite, Betnomi has a variety of games one can play..great markets eg cards, corners etc and also supports the top 5 soccer leagues of the world and most basketball leagues are supported which makes these guys among my top 5 bookies to go too. Btw cashout feature is a deal breaker and here we have it which makes them a go to bookie.
